Took someone here for a themed event, which seemed to be over before the advertised time. Ended up in the patio area and found that I couldnt hear anything other than the loud bass-filled edm that the dj was blasting. Made no sense considering it was a patio bar with no dance floor, but the 2 people sitting there seemed ok with it. Decided to try the bar inside and get some drinks. It was dark with the only light coming from 2 chandeliers that were way too low and used scented candles filled with fake LED candles. No drink menus at any of the wobbly tables, but you could scan a QR code with your phone to pull up a menu (which I was unable to since there was no light). They had drinks/cocktails written on the chalkboard wall behind the bar. Just names of drinks, no price, no real description of what is in the drinks other than a vague vodka drink, whiskey drink. I walk up to the bar and attempted to order something, but had to wait because some older guy in a red shirt was distracting all 3 bartenders. I assume it was a manager, because he was ordering them to listen. When he walked away, 1 of the bartenders asked what I wanted. Ordered 2 cocktails, and the bartender pulled out a laminated drink menu and proceeded to turn on what looked like a night light that people use to read in the dark and kept turing the light directly in my face. I blocked it with my hands as she slowly made the drinks. When she was done, the 2 different drinks looked exactly the same. Checked if they were what I ordered, and she assured me it was. She told me how much I owed and I was shocked by the price. Went to pay and again the bartender shined that light in my face again, except this time she could tell I didnt appreciate it and apologized before moving it. Both drinks had too much sugar with odd pairings of ingredients that I only saw when I looked at the bartenders menu. My glass was chipped along the rim and thankfully I didnt cut my mouth. The area I sat at was hotter than it was outside. Figured I would finish my drink and hit the restroom before I leave. Turns out the restroom was nice and cool. Makes no sense that the restroom would be more comfortable than the area you drink and socialize at. Went to wash my hands and found that the sink had no faucet, but instead had what looked like an AC condenser drain line coming from the ceiling where the AC drip pan would be. Left there shortly after feeling embarrassed that I brought someone here. I likely will not return.

Drinks were absolutely horrible took forever because they had to remake my girlfriend s drink which ended up tasting horrible too. Then cockroaches were trying crawl up my leg from the couch. We didn t even drink our drinks and just left. This bar sucks lol and their bar tenders can t make drinks.

It was a less than decent experience. The drinks were too sweet and syrupy, and overall not very good. My teeth got stained from one of them. The fruit in my cocktail still had the sticker on it. There were multiple roaches . The decor was cool and the servers were very nice though!

Update: I just have to reiterate how much I love this place. The cocktails are consistently amazing and the people who work here always treat me with the utmost kindness. I love it here. But also, they have puptinis now so its even better :) Old review: Spectacular cocktails in a very unassuming location. Definitely a top 3 craft cocktail bar in this city. dont hesitate and just go here- you wont regret it!

truly disappointed The owner of this bar recently had a festival, he was looking for individuals to work for him on Saturday and i was one of them. when i saw the post i saw it said 15$ to work for him as event staff. I show up did the job i was told to do from the hours he told me to do and at the end of the day he told me to write down my name phone number and cash app or zelle, after that never heard from him and cant get a hold of him. Sad to see a business run like that.

Great place! Amazing host! And the liquor, OMG, how do people not know about this liquid gold? My husband and I went to the Artisan for our anniversary and it was like finding a hidden gem in San Antonio. The information, the fun, the DRINKS!! Nick was amazing. You need to try everything because there isnt anything that is bad. His menu changes often. He built his bar himself and everything he brews he brews like art itself. Ive never met someone who takes so much pride in the product he produces. ***You will return if you actually enjoy what you drink instead of drinking to get drunk. ***

Nice venue, I really like the covered outdoor patio space. I had their TPA (Texas Pale Ale) which was very good, not too hoppy, nice flavor. I heard they make a really good bloody Mary, but I didnt try one, so I cant vouch for that.

Followed the white rabbit to the Artisan Distillery to partake in The Alice: An Immersive Cocktail Party and was it a treat!! The vibe is stylish and laid back and the bartender helped guide us through the menu to some tasty brew such as Pickle Micheladas!! Dressed with chamoy soaked pickles..YUM! Afterwards we enjoyed some live music on their covered patio, some more brew and Smacks Chicken Shack!! Great space, drinks, service and people!! We will definitely be back!

went on a weekend when live music was there. liked the live music and the venue. the cocktails were basic and nothing really interesting. tried one of there flavored beers that they make in-house and didnt finish it. the base beer is described as light pilsner lager but I got more watery noncarbonated hop water. parking was a bit challenging since they share with other bars in the area. I will try it again in the future to see if there are other cocktails that I would enjoy more.

Great environment! The trivia by Carlos was fantastic! There was great music outside. The drinks however were a no. We tried several cocktails. They were unbearably sweet. Every single cocktail was drowned in simple syrup. I would say this craft bar needs a bit more time exploring the craft. I wouldnt come back only for the fact that the bar was disappointing, but there is big potential if they can reimagine the bar drinks.

Wow! What a great place to go and power down after a long work week. I had a raspberry gin and juice that had such great flavors. The bartender knew exactly what he was doing too when he spritzed in some orange and muddled a sugar cube in my old fashion. Hats off to you bartender. They were Fantastic.! As for the food truck cuisine - it didnt disappoint. The Chicken Shack and the Snitzel Taco were very delicious. Each had their own unique favor and presentation from the chef. Just delicious! There was live music later in the evening that added to the cute and cozy atmosphere. Absolutely will revisit for another fun night out.

***ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL VENUE*** I had the opportunity to perform comedy at this venue and loved the stage that was provided!!! I recommend not only the awesome space but the staff was a pleasure to order with. Our bartender was VERY attentive and friendly , and recommended the precise flavor profile we were looking for! And then as an added bonus we met the owner and he was even MORE knowledgeable about the in-house spirits they distill themselves and it was a actual master class in alcohol creation, and how they create the cocktails they serve. What an absolutely amazing experience that I recommend to anyone looking for a place that is several steps above what the average San Antonio bar could possibly offer you. Atmosphere and decor were decked out. This is a hidden amazing gem. Please do yourself an enormous favor and check it out if you are in the area. Prices are a straight up bargain for what you are getting in return. Cannot recommend this place more that I already am.

They have a limited selection for the night which sounds cool and trendy but most of the drinks they had tonight were awful. They couldnt even do a rum and coke. My partner and I visited this bar initially to do a craft cocktail class offered there but stayed after for a few drinks. The class was at 4 pm and parking was easy at that time. Their free parking lot fits about 35 cars, other than that there is free street parking and $2 parking under the nearby bridge. The class was very organized, informational and fun. The owner himself conducted the class and taught us about how certain liquors are made, how to use different bar utensils and walked us through making three delicious craft cocktails with his house-made Vodka, Whiskey and Gin respectively. All of their alcohols were incredibly smooth and available to purchase at the bar. After a great class I had a refreshing strawberry Vodka lemonade and my partner had a whiskey cocktail with a cinnamon stick that he enjoyed. They use all fresh Ingredients in their drinks which really comes across in the flavor. The location is cozy, has indoor and outdoor seating, features bands, comedians, Anime nights and vendor nights as well. We purchased a bottle of Vodka before we left and definitely plan to come back again.

Attended a stand up comedy show at, what was told to me, was once a bathhouse. Drinks were good; atmosphere was great. I especially loved the from-the-ceiling sink ( In hindsight I should have taken a picture). The only reason I give it four stars is because the parking was a little wonky but it shouldnt be a reason that you do not come and visit.

So, having a milestone birthday in the middle of a global pandemic in this atrocity of a year that has been 2020 was not looking to be very... interesting, but we decided to go for a trip to San Antonio anyway. We came to Artisan Distillery after hitting a couple breweries. We were the only people there and all safety protocol were strictly adhered to. We got a lesson on distilling and different types of spirits. And then there were the drinks. I told Nick the kind of drinks I like and he delivered one after another to perfection, almost like he could read my mind! Super sweet guy, amazing setting and, eyes roll back in your head, obscene sound producing and drool inducing drinks. Totally worth a stop!!!!

Tour was very informative. Found out alot about liquor that i wasnt aware of. Great lemon drop martini would definitely recommend that. I see alot of reviews where they didnt get souviner glass. I as well as our whole group did not recieve ours either. We were told he dropped the whole box full of glasses and to leave our phone number and email have not heard anything since. The price is cheap for the tour but you may not get your glass so i would recommend saving that $9 for a drink instead.

I visited San Antonio with family and decided to visit the distillery after seeing a Groupon for it. Very glad we went. Nick was fantastic and a wealth of knowledge concerning alcohol. The tour lasted about an hour with the tasting at the end. The liquor was very good, but even better as mixed drinks made by Vicky. Every cocktail we tried was delicious, but beware of the spicy drinks! Even the mild ones were hot, but if you are into spicy drinks you will love it. Cocktails and the bottles of vodka were very affordable. We were even able to bottle and label our own liquor and Nick signed each one. Great experience that I highly recommend.

Very informative tour... you can tell this is a passion for the owner. At the end of the tour we purchased our own bottle and he signed it for us. The good: Decent downtown location and parking isn t too tough in this area. The vibe inside is chill, and it s a clean joint. Comfy chairs and couches to lounge on, and they have a nice little patio. The tour of the distillery is very informative. The owner explains all the magic that goes into making the perfect vodka. Unfortunately, the good ends there. I m not a liquor aficionado by any means, but every time drink A or drink B was ordered, it was an entirely different taste and even a different color (it just depends on who you order it from). At one point, I ordered the Hillbilly Moonshine, and the bartender asked me where I saw that one. I had to show the menu and the ingredients to him. What??? The consistent inconsistency with the drinks causes them to lose 3 full stars.

This was definitely a bar I would visit for the drinks. Wish there was a restaurant right next door. So good! You definitely need to try it! Also their Prickly Pear Vodka is out of this world!!

Nick (owner and tour guide) is absolutely amazing! His passion for vodka comes out the second he starts talking. Hes a blast and their vodka is truly hand made. Definitely stay for happy hour after the tour. Great drinks, wonderful prices, fun conversation. Even purchased a signed bottle!

Great place to learn about vodka from Nick then roll into happy hour before heading out for dinner. Very casual atmosphere with a one man show making the vodka. I was able to bottle my own to take home.

This was my first distillery experience and I must say I loved it. Nick was so knowledgeable and fun. He really made the experience worth while. The vodka was also amazing. Spike vodka is truly one of a kind, my drink of choice is vodka and it has to be my new favorite. It seems a little hole in the wall and that makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun different evening.

Ambiance was decent but overall our experience was brief and unimpressive. We honestly couldnt tell if there was alcohol in our drinks. I think they could be doing more with the distillery space with a little expansion. I doubt they produce these spirits from scratch using the equipment presented.

Love this place, Nick and his crew are amazing and they really care about what they are serving you. Everything is freshly made and you can expect fresh fruits in your drinks :). His vodka is brewed in house and is the smoothest I ve ever had. It s call Texas Pride Vodka, his higher end version is named spiked. The inside is decorated by him and you can find his art and local artist s art on the walls. Great music and it s very clean with seating inside and out.

Nick is very informative and gives a professional and personable tour! I appreciate he s a Texas owned and operated businessman. Wow what a great operation!! His vodka is outstanding because it is smooth and it is made from Texas grown cactus and Texas/Oklahoma corn. My favorite is Spike Vodka!

All fresh ingredients in these delicious cocktails. A good number of the cocktails are basically aguas frescas with craft vodka. The cheapest price Ive ever seen for this level of quality. Bartender sticks to 2 oz of booze in each drink, so the taste is smooth and not too strong. If you just want Jack and coke, or if you want strong drinks, then this isnt the place to go.

This is THE PLACE to go to get away from the Riverwalk and its array of disappointments in local flavor. I would recommend it whether you love to experience the local talent within the city you are visiting or are a local who enjoys finding a new hidden pearl within your city. Nick (owner, head distiller) takes pride in what he does and is a great host regardless of if you are a vodka connoisseur or havent experienced a craft cocktail before. Thoroughly enjoyed this place.

Owner is beyond personable and happy to serve you. They make their own Vodka in house. The owner is very knowledgeable and involved with every drink on the menu. Their Cactus based vodka taste smooth like water and their selection of Martinis are excellent. I never rate places on Google honestly but this place absolutely deserves the five stars. Definitely worth a visit and you will not be disappointed.

Met Nick the owner/distiller of this amazing vodka distillery who is making vodka not only out of corn but the only one making it out of cactus! He made the entire bar in the tasting room as well as the amazing table made from a pecan slab. More importantly, both styles of vodka are amazing. Spike having more of a bite and hitting you on the nose as soon as you go to drink it. The drinks he made were amazing as well and he uses all fresh ingredients.
