This is one of our favorite local coffee shops. The atmosphere is incredible--good music and lots of places to sit. My favorite is the chai latte with oatmilk or a cortado. I wouldnt miss out on this local favorite. Youll always be met with friendly faces. Parking: Excellent options for parking--free! Kid-friendliness: My 7 year old likes to hang out and play chess or go outside to run around the grounds!

In town for the afternoon and needed a place with good food and WiFi to work for a few hours. Serendipitously came across Tandem as I avoid chain coffee shops. Probably the best grilled cheese sandwich ever and the hot tea was amazing. Great playlist was an added bonus; can t write without some good music. Well done, team Tandem!

Went to Tandem for a small turn-out show and the experience was incredible. Great, friendly, interactive staff that always ready to make a person day or smile. The location feels like a trip to a antique shop with a smell of roasted coffee. Not to mention, their coffee selection. If you re a coffee drinker or enjoyer, then Tandem should be your next stop on the way to work. When the show ended and the store was still open, they had fans who were still there sing karaoke, even the staff cleaning would join along. Overall, best experience, great food, best customer service in San Antonio!!

I ve honestly been coming here for over 2 years now. It quickly became my go to spot for Drinks/Food, vibes and overall a friendly great Staff/Management. Staff behind the bar care about the drinks they put out and Management appreciates feedback, what more could you ask for. There s plenty of coffee spots in SA but there s only one TANDEM, and you ll definitely see why when you visit here and why I keep coming back.

Great place, great staff, great coffee! My family hosted an event here and it was the easiest time I ve ever had working with a venue. The best café in San Antonio! The drip coffee is amazing along with the breakfast and lunch items, they also have live music and serve alcohol I hear, but I just go for the coffee and treats. Small business that is doing a great job! The two owners help with set up, breakdown, are always there to help their vendors when there s vendor markets or really those that need a help. For karaoke they show support to towards that vendor and always allow people to continue to grow their own businesses while there. The coffee is one of my favorites but the best in my opinion is Como La Flor - they make homemade syrups which is another thing that makes this place special, they share local art - and that goes straight to the artist. Truly an amazing business model that builds community and passion- if you haven t been then you need to go! Parking: There s plenty of parking available!

The wonderful staff at Tandem kindly reserved a table for my Church Tribe group. We joined here for a coffee before Awaken (Worship Night). This was my first time here - I must say, there is artwork, decor, and vibrant colors every head-turn. Tandem has an outdoor patio area; however, San Antonio s weather was in the hundreds. The staff were great! Restrooms were super clean. Plenty of seating. The Match Latte I ordered was smooth and settled. Not as bold - delicious.

Came to work for a couple hours based on a recommendation. Great staff, atmosphere, and decent coffee. The food however was very disappointing. I got the brisket grilled cheese, which I had by chance seen on their website ahead of time. It was nothing like the picture or description on the site. It is pictured with a thick volume of brisket covered by cheddar on both sides & described as locally sourced, made with sour dough & served with a slice of pickle. What I was served was a premade & refrigerated sandwich with so little brisket the two slices of plain packaged bread touched each other through out the sandwich. The pickles were in the sandwich and it had cream cheese and one slice of cheese. It was heated on a waffle iron, which poses some challenges. It looked like some of the other grilled cheeses picture on the site but with not as nice bread. When first heating one up, the staff member burnt it since waffle irons are super hot & not ideal for toasting thin white bread. The second attempt, which I was served, had successfully toasted the bread & partially melted the cheese. The other contents were cold. Incredibly disappointing overall & extremely over priced at $14 dollars (the most expensive item served & $2 more than the listed price on the web menu.) Like I mentioned, otherwise the place seems fine - Id just avoid their sandwiches.

I checked this place out because of a event that was going on in the back. I got the curty ( I think Im spelling that right ?) And added lavender syrup and it was really good! Im definitely looking forward to coming back to try more stuff. My only issue was mixing the matcha and CBD in more so you dont accidentally sip little pockets of pure powder, but they are on a time crunch so if you get anything with CBD dont forget to stir regularly otherwise it separates and floats to the bottom.

I have been here a few times and have been very happy with every visit. The coffee flights are really good. I really enjoyed the coffee with lavender. It felt nice that they were changing things up and the variations didnt feel pointless, but rather added a lot to the experience. The matcha-orange drink is also spectacular. I drank it really fast. The chicken and waffles are to die for. They make the waffles with this pastry-like dough and add hot honey to it. Overall, a very nice lunch. Also the open mic is hilarious. Clifton, the host, is really funny. I would suggest it if you need a laugh. I would highly recommend this place and would return.

Great place to hang out. I am not a coffee fan in general so I can t comment on it. My wife says the coffee is always very good. My son and I like to sit and play games while my wife has coffee. A perfect place to relax on a Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend Tandem.

The coffee is top notch. The barristas are very knowledgeable of their coffee and you can taste the quality. I like my coffee early and I appreciate that every time I get there when they open they always open on the time.

Love this place. My cousin from Cali came into town and was looking for something to do. I mentioned (Tandem) we go to this place where they have trivia night, beer and some very delicious food. Anyways he loved the atmosphere and is begging to go back this week. He said Tandem is awesome and wishes he had place like Tandem to hang out at back home. Thank you for providing awesome service and great drink and food options. We make it a point to go as often as possible. I will keep supporting Tandem.
