Don t come here s please! We are tourists coming from Dallas and they mistreated us. There was a bold guy with white beard that told me that he could not serve us because I stumbled. I had two strokes when I was younger and I struggle to walk when I am tired. He screamed I am not serving you because you stumbled I told him about my situation but still kicked me out. Also there were other people fighting before we entered. It is not a one size fits all situation . Staff needs to be trained on how to be inclusive and not be reactive to customers.

Me and my wife went out here and the white girl, blonde and tattooed up decided to tip herself 5 dollars after we already tipped her self and this is the second time shes done this were are no longer going there and we are making a regulation complaint with the CFPB

Cowabunga is definitely a Dive Bar, but without a doubt one of the greatest Dive Bars youll ever visit. I was just a tourist and they made me feel like a local - both Ryan and Claudia will bend over backwards to make you feel welcome! This place is a diamond in the rough for certain!!!

So I have always enjoyed this bar, for about 10 years now in fact but the last two times I have been in recently the female bartender with tattoos has been extremely rude... Like sees me sitting at the bar and walks around sits down next to a customer at the bar and proceeds to talk without addressing me. Maybe Im being dramatic but I did not appreciate that, waited 4 minutes each time and, no acknowledgement and left.

This is a bar only. Food is not served here. It is a LGBT friendly hang out bar to enjoy some juke box music and have some drinks. I consider it like a starter bar. It is a good place to start your night out with. But who knows you might end up staying all night there.

Terrible bar with terrible bar tenders. Waited very long time for no reason while bar tenders older lady and younger male taking shots and drinking beer behind the bar. Went around the corner to the texas II bar and had a way better time and service. Save time and go around the corner for a better expirence.

Bartenders completely ignored us and spent too much time taking shots behind bar, spent 10 min waiting on drinks then left before ever getting served, went to bar right around corner(which was busier) and was served immediately

I live in Dallas, I came to this bar for one reason because I saw, Travis Jones review and I wanted to check out the bar staff. Because we always get one side of the story but never the other. Turns out this dude was trying to hit another bar goer with a beer bottle. Lol. Anyways great experience this review from Travis is complete sheeeeet!. Ryan the bartender on Thursday when I came did awesome. AMAZING service, my good sir!

Absolutely the cheapest drinks you ll find in down town SA. Trust me I ve been to other bars and this one is the cheapest beer and mixed drinks you ll find. More of a chill vibe here. This isn t a party bar per se, this is a local dive bar never terribly crowded. Bar tender is great and attentive unlike some bars around here.

So this is my dive bar spot. Nice for a quick getaway from the mainstream bars of downtown. Cheap drinks and lots of locals who are always friendly and will surprise you on occasion with a good chill drink sesh. Definitely check out if your a local resident of the city or visitor.

Its a bar. There is beer. There are basic cocktails. There are homeless that will wander in. Sometimes they peddle for change. Thats probably a solid summary. Theres a single pool table and lots of larger wall art, but this dive really is a dime a dozen. The best thing it has going for it is that it opens earlier than most others which will let you get your drinks in earlier.

2 dollar beers? What year is this 1993? Thats why I love coming to San Antonio..We find places like this bar and guess what, their domestic beer at 2 dollars tastes just as good as the 5 -7 dollar beers elsewhere. amazing isnt it?
