Ordered 3 appetizer food, and it took 20 to 25 mins. The food sat out, and it was lukewarm, I never got a small plate or silverware. I ordered a mango mojito, and it was water no flavor. The pomegranate mojito was great even when the bartender didnt crush the mint. The place was hot when it started to get busy, it got worse. Then, when it got busy, the service got worse, and the drinks went down. The uniform is not consistent. It was a one and done. Save your money .

Very disappointing when youre asked to leave after walking in the hot sun and only wanting a refreshing beverage. They said the policy was 21+ only. Ive been a recurring customer for years, with my son, not once had Ive been refused service The server was kind enough to give us water. Thanks

We wanted to give a big shoutout to Erica! She treated my family and I better than anywhere we ve ever experienced. We re traveling from KC and wanted to find a cool bar so we ended up here. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience! I work in retail and I feel like I can easily spot someone who genuinely cares about what they do and the people they serve and she embodied that 10 fold. Thank you Erica! When we come back we hope she ll be here!

They truly hired the kindest and friendliest staff! Our waitress was spot on with recommendations and she was very friendly and polite, she made sure we were all having a great time and we absolutely did! The cucumber martini was delicious and I highly recommend it. The view from the bar is spectacular, the dinner tables do rotate so your view does change, it s spectacular.

We went here since we were visiting the observation deck. We ordered 2 drinks and a dessert. The drinks were mediocre. The dessert ( with warning) took 30 mins to get. The time was probably longer than that but it was very good once we got it. In my opinion it is strictly for the view and now the service. We did not see our waitress often, even when out of water. The wait to get on the elevator also took a VERY long time even though the ride is about a min. I would not recommend this place based off of service but would recommend based off of the view.

My visit to Bar 601 at the Tower in San Antonio was a beautiful experience. The drinks were crafted to perfection, each one better than the last. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot to unwind. What truly set this place apart was the view of the entire city. Watching the cityscape from such a height was an unforgettable experience. If youre looking for great drinks, a fantastic atmosphere, and an unparalleled view of San Antonio, Bar 601 is the place to be.

Came for Happy Hour but were told by the two bartenders that Good Friday was a holiday so no Happy Hour (we were not the only customers who asked about it). Paid $35.00 for two drinks with tip. No interaction at all from bartenders and we were seated at the bar. Very disappointing.

The bar is the hidden gem. You can get a great view of downtown for the price of a drink vs. the $$$ to get to the observation deck. Draft beer selection is limited but leaning towards the refreshing lower alcohol taps.

The up keeping needs improvement. I had a party of 3 and as soon as we sat down a smell of urine was coming from the rug. We ALL could smell it. For the price of drinks and food you would think they would try to maintain the place smelling clean. Also the staff uniforms were giving Applebees vibes. Definitely should insure that staff looks presentable. The prices and the environment just didn t add up. The view was nice and service was good.

Went for Happy Hour. The views were amazing and the Happy Hour prices were reasonable. We got our 1st order pretty quick, but the 2nd order took over an hour. Lets just say we were not impressed. Chef Giovanni came to our table to explained what happened. We appreciated the apology. He also came back with a delicious dessert plate We decided to just eat a few bites and take it home....But NOPE! We ate ALL of them because they were so good. Will definitely come back the next time we are in San Antonio!

They should not have the age at 21 and up if they are selling food and thats the only cheap option in the tower of americas. Im 18 and would have liked to try some of the food and dessert they offer at bar 601. I couldnt even sit up there with my family while they enjoy drinks. And they didnt mention anything when buying the tickets for tower of americas. The view was great though.

Its been a few years, but I finally made out to Tower of Americas Bar 601 for Happy Hour. I have to say that I was totally impressed. The fish tacos were off the charts. Made the traditional way with mahi-mahi and corn tortillas. The taste was phenomenal, especially for $7. The lettuce wraps were super tasty and plentiful $5. Not on the Happy Hour was the lobster bisque, but I just couldnt resist. Couple of glasses of wine to wash it all down. Highly recommend Bar 601 for a great relaxing Happy Hour!!

Group of five on April 26. The view is great but service was horrible. Food was good but cold. Was there for happy hour and it wasn t crowded - walked in and had a choice of tables. Service was slow, horrible, and very unfriendly. Our server obviously didn t want to be there and she forgot one drink and offered no apology. Food was cold and came out before our drinks. Then waters, which we asked for right away came out after the food and drinks. Had to ask for silverware. Tired of waiting for straws for our drinks I went to the bar and got them.

We realized you can pay to go to the observation deck or you can go to the bar for free and spend your money there instead! Our food was good and we received good service too. We loved the view from the top. It was fun to look out and see all the places we visited the day before.

Cheesy. Touristy. Pricey (perhaps). Yes. All that. But overall, fun. And what views! Cant beat the views anywhere else in town. Been here several times. Each time it just gets better. Theyve changed their cocktail menu recently and its pretty exciting. Our last outing, we had a group of friends from ATX that never been. We took them up and they loved it. We were pleasantly surprised with their fresh cocktail menu . We had several that were pretty stiff, but tasty drinks. We were mostly impressed by their Cocktails for Two. They bring out this canteen looking container and filled it with fruits and aromatics followed by several spirits which they them proceed to mix. Once mixed, the set 3 shot glasses in front of each person, each glass with its own distinct flavor. They then present 3 low ball glasses to each person and start to pour the concoction into each glass. Finally, the shot glass is emptied into each low ball to make your drinks. These cocktails were outstanding!!! Even after all 6 cocktails are poured, you still have alcohol left to continue to make some more. Definitely go check it out. And ask for the Cocktails for Two. You wont regret it. The only drawback is the parking. If you dont want to dish out the cash for premium parking, your options are to park all the way in China and walk back.
