We wanted to try some place new. Made a last minute decision to come here. Weve driven passed it many times. We didnt know what we were missing until we stopped by. The menu selection is very good. The food was great, and the service was wonderful. It is a very comfortable atmosphere. Iris provided the best experience anyone could hope for. This is now become one of our favorites.

Our entire experience was amazing! The service was fast and friendly! The food was amazing we got 1/2 pound of shrimp, crawfish Étouffée, blackened salmon, fried okra, and red beans and rice. Oh and the Beignets were to die for!! Four was not enough!

I have to try more here, nice spacious inviting dining area. Staff was nice and attentive, I love the cajun fries, Corn with their special Seasoning, Onion Rings. The catfish and shrimp were my down fall it was not a hit for me so trying something else may give them that 5 stars we shall see but I will give them another shot...

We are fairly new to Conroe and wanted to try a new seafood place. The reviews for this place looked pretty good so we gave it a try. Our experience at this place was amazing!! All the photos looked so good we ordered more than we should have. We had red snapper, red fish, hush puppies and oysters. The okra and hush puppies were ok, but everything else was AMAZING!!! Best blackened oysters I have ever tasted. The green beans taste like they bought that from a farmers market. Their bread pudding was very good. But to top it off their service was over the top. We met and spoke with the manager Iris. She was so friendly and accommodating. Their cashier, Marcus was such a nice young man. We will definitely be coming back, and we will be bringing some family members so they can experience this little gem too.

They were so sweet! So patient (it was our first time in) amazing service. Drinks stayed full. Table stayed clean. The food was awesome. The owner is super sweet and told me the story behind the restaurant. Place is clean and food is delicious. I had the blackened snapper and jambalaya rice. My first time visiting Bubba T s here on Mother s Day. Excellent food and the ambiance of the restaurant is truly Louisiana. Love it! I met Jason and Iris (the owners) and they are very nice! They go around and engage with the customers to make sure everything is okay. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Update: This place was great! The staff was friendly. The lady i didnt catch her name but she chatted with all the customers making it a very welcoming place. Since this was our first time she helped us figure out what we might want to order explaining the menu which was very helpful. We will definitely go back!! They make you select the seafood platter as all fried or blackened and wont let you mix it up. I suppose, either their cooks cant read a ticket that states how each item should be cooked, or the ordering system is too generic to let them specify how to cook each item, or the cashiers are too lazy to specify how we want each item cooked. The place was not very busy the night we tried their food for the first time. I asked for all blackened except the catfish to be fried, but was told no, I had to choose all fried or all blackened. They refused to budge (I guess that is what the owner demands of the cashiers). Disappointing when a paying customer cant get each item cooked like they want because its too difficult for the employees to handle. The Gumbo was way too soupy, and the boudin was flavorless. It really is just a Cajun fast food restaurant, where you order and pay at the counter, but you certainly cant deviate in how each item is cooked.

We drove by this place a couple of days ago and we thought it was a BOBA PLACE! The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the manager{Iris} was absolutely amazing to us and was honestly impressed by how well she treated us. And most importantly, the atmosphere was fantastic. The place was really decorated for Mardi Gras. And the gator was one of my favorite decorations about the place. We will definitely come back to Bubba T s Kitchen again.

It was a takeout order, waited over 30 minutes for my food. Ordered shrimp and fish LG. Onion rings and hush puppies were cold, received two small pieces of fish which were hot but undercooked and greasey. The shrimp was okay. They automatically charge 20% gratuity which is insane. I was generous by changing it to 2 dollars because it was a takeout but, when I got my receipt it was charged to 3.94 cents. I spoke to the cashier and asked why. He stated he didnt know what I did and offered a soda which I didnt take. First of all, why are you charging a gratuity for a takeout? WILL NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE AGAIN. They were more interested in the baseball game than service.

Firstly, this is our second experience with this establishment. The first visit was AMAZING and so memorable! The food was excellent, well seasoned, hot, and fresh, and the customer service was great! 5 stars!! So, because of that great first impression, maybe we were a bit spoiled and had high expectations. We arrived at about 6 pm, there were only 2 other tables seated with their food. The cooks were both standing in the kitchen, not cooking anything, and it appeared as though they were on their phones (heads down, staring at one spot). The reason I mention that is to say the kitchen wasnt busy at all. We ordered a myriad of items; blackened catfish combo with red beans and Jambalaya rice, chefs salad with blackened Mahi with brocolli and red beans and rice, 2 orders of blackened catfish tacos, and salmon chefs salad with fries and garlic bread and 2 ala carte pieces of chicken, totaling $88, $98 with tip. Some items we ordered were items from our last visit, so we had an expectation of taste and some new items. Also, an important point is that where were staying is a 6 minute drive from the restaurant. So, we expected hot, fresh food. Well, what we received was mediocre, at best. None, and I mean NONE, of the food was hot or fresh. All the blackened fish items were lukewarm and overcooked. The Jambalaya was dry, like I needed to drink something after every bite. The orders of red beans and rice were ok, nothing like our first visit. The fried chicken was flavorless. I could go on and on about each item, but suffice to say, we were extremely disappointed. Im not sure if well go back as its currently a 50/50 overall experience. Ill update my review if we do.

Tracy was a wonderful server and very friendly. I ve always heard great things about Bubba T s and I finally tried it for the first time. She was great at explaining their menu - the vegetables are fresh, not frozen. The sauces are home made (their tartar sauce was wonderful), home made food. Everything was just phenomenal. New place on 1488 about 1/2 mile from Valero and HEB right side of road if going West. Im one of new strips centers on the corner of the strip. Same people have the on off 99 and Rayfod. Now the service and food. Servers ànd front end staff extremely friendly and nice. My office for years was near Rajin Cajun on Richmond and they set the bar for me on gumbo, shrimp, crawdads. The had a spot in Woodlands briefly but was in horrible location on Research at back of strip center so the closed. Since then I Have tried all similar places in Woodlands/Conroe, all were fair to middlin, some way expensive and so on. We stopped t this one today and had late lunch. They had great Po Boys, and specials on various options of catfish, shrimp and oyster plates for 9.50. Each with ample lunch and even dinner portionthey have larger array platters and combinations and prices were very decent. Couple behind us had Crawdads and Mon-Wed t 5.99 pound. I asked them about their bUgs and they said they were very good as was potatos and corn. They had 3 lbs and left with to go box after eatingamd it looked like they still had 3lbs. Point is they have generous amount of the scale.is broke. I had fried shrimp Po Boy and it was made the way I first tasted one in South Louisiana. It was stuffed with large shrimp. I also had the small seafood gumbo and it was very good. Some places have a really dar reux and I dont care that darkness. Somplaces have little color and the seafood you have to search for. Here the gumbo was a nice brown and had probably 15 whole small shrimp, and crawdads and oysters. Had no problem picking out what was what. Wife has the #1 Special I generous catfish filet, 3 large shrimp, and hand made local Onion Rings(really good..no Sysco frown here)overall the food was really good, the place was very clean and and staff great. Best of all its less than 2 miles from 242 where we live. I know juct like Mexican, Italian, Chinese food and cars to each their own. However.i thought this was great. Our food and 2 drinks were $31 dollars... thats a good price to me If you live out this way, and like those items you should at least give them a try. When Im in Houston I still stop by Raging Cajun, but this was comparable and as good as that. Until they get their signage up...north side 1488 about 1/-12 Mile past HEB/Valero No I dont have any connections to the place, its a real review.

4/16/23 Witnessed an employee walk off his job and quit. Not to mention throwing the F bomb about three times while having our granddaughter with us. His coworker (young man, dark hair and a beard) held his composure very well and kept his cool, so proud of him. Coworker was very apologetic for the disrespectful exit this guy did. I did not get the coworkers name, but kudos to him. Not too many youngsters keep their cool like he did, in that situation, very proud of him.

I ll start by saying the fried fish and okra are excellent, but do not come here for crawfish. We ordered two pounds and they arrived on a tray floating in water and butter. We could immediately tell that it wasn t 2 pounds. To top it off, they were bland and most were dead/inedible. Super disappointing! We were asked to tip our server when we ordered at the counter, but he never came to our table to refill our drinks or to check to see if we needed anything. The cashier was very friendly and came by and refilled my daughter s drink once.

We have been there several times now and the food has been very good. The servers are nice and hard working and the food is served quickly and fresh. Their blackened and grilled chicken are seasoned so tasty and their oyster po boy is very good!

Just found Bubba Ts Kitchen. Stopped in for an Oyster Po Boy. It was excellent! The onion rings were superb, and the coleslaw was first rate. Service was extremely fast and very good. We even spoke with the chef, and he explained everything going into the Oyster Po Boy. Parking: Ample parking.

Great friendly casual atmosphere!! First had seafood gumbo, it had great flavor and lots of shrimp n crawfish!! The boudin balls were amazing!! Then main course 2 large catfish fillets blackened to perfection!!!! (perfect amount of spice and not too salty like some places). The side of jambalaya rice had GREAT flavor and onion rings were great with the remoulade sauce. My sister got a pasta dish with chicken n sausage, it had an amazing Cajun Alfredo sauce with great flavor as well!!! The beignets for dessert were also cooked to perfection!!! Every part of the meal was great!! Thanks Bubba Ts for amazing Cajun in Magnolia/Woodlands area!!!!

Was in the magnolia area to run an errand and figured I would try this place out as I needed some lunch. I saw now open so I want sure what to think as many restaurants need time to work out the kinks when they first do open. I decided to try a few of there Cajun tacos (Shrimp, Salmon, Chicken, and catfish) and the blackened chicken taco is the one that is pictured. I found them all to be well seasoned, generously portioned, and flat out delicious. And I m a native Lousianian so I am difficult to impress with Cajun food. Customer service was also wonderful and I would be happy to visit this place again when I m in the area.
