Rude receptionist . After waiting 3-4 months for my appointment, doctor cancelled it, instead of trying to work with me and my schedule (since they re the ones canceling on me) , she wanted to give me an appointment in two more months . If they re the ones canceling they should be flexible and try to squeeze me in , in a date sooner than that. Plus the receptionist was rude , no thanks . I don t want to be seen by a place where their patients aren t a priority.

Bad experience with Blanca (assistant to hunter), she doesnt know what she is doing, or how to follow instructions, and hunter doesnt know how to follow up on instructions to her staff. My wife was scheduled for a procedure for certain day, we did the registration at valley baptist and they were supposed to call to verify the time for us to arrive for the first procedure, turns out that a day before no one knew anything about the procedure, the hospital denied giving information, and hunter finally responded that they couldnt find one of the specialist and that the whole procedure was canceled, just like that, after we all had planed this for days now is not even a date for the reschedule procedure. Too much expectation and for listening to the wrong people now my wife continues with her problem. Be careful when listening to hunter she is good to drive you into her ways to make you believe on something she doesnt know.

Do not waste your time or money coming here. My wife Rose had an appointment this morning at 11, and she took the whole day off work so she could go. But about an hour before we were going to leave, they call her and tell her that the appointment is canceled because the PA she was going to see didnt come in. My wife missed a whole day of work for nothing! They said it was a scheduling conflict, well thats not my wifes fault, thats their fault! Very inconsiderate and unprofessional of this office! And then, they wont even give her the hysterectomy she wanted, Dr. Hunter keeps giving her the run around saying well lets try this or lets try that, but all they want is more money and more money. Very bad doctor office. Dont waste your time or money coming here because you will get nowhere and spend all your money doing so! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

Was referred by PCP. I asked about results and if I had questions the front desk staff said I needed to schedule another appointment in regards to my questions about results. Never going back again. Seems excessive and is an inconvenience.

Update, July 2023. Another positive experience, as far as girl checkups go. Im confident that I am getting excellent medical care here And theyll accept my Medicare plan in the near future so I wont have to change Drs. Had my yearly well woman check up with Lisa NP. She is great! Very attentive and thorough. I am very pleased and highly recommend.

First meeting for my daughter was with Carrie. She s great!!! Then, we came back a couple days later for an injection and even though we made an appt it still took 30min to get us in. She just needed the injection, no doc visit. Then when I tried to schedule the follow up injection, I was told that she would require another doc visit because she didn t get the sonogram. Even though Carrie told us that if the antibiotics worked there would be no need for the sonogram. After going round and round with the office, they finally gave my daughter an appt for her injection. I pick up the injection at H E B pharmacy and bring it with us. When she signs in, they charge us an office visit and an injection fee. This is ridiculous. Talk about nickle and diming your patients. We will be looking for another doctors office.

My wife, Nancy Linebaugh, is having hormone issues and was looking for the best doctor to treat her. We saw the reviews for Dr. Susan Hunter and decided to try her. Her first appointment with Dr. Hunter was very impressive. It appeared that Dr. Hunter was very thorough and caring. She did her tests and Told her to come back in two months. At that appointment she prescribed medication for my wife and scheduled another appointment in two months. She went to that appointment and, when she got there, they told her that the doctor had a death in the family and that they had called her to notify her. She checked her phone and there was no such phone call or message. They scheduled another appointment for her, but she did not get to see the doctor because of an emergency surgery and canceled her appointment again. At this point my wife was out of medication And she spent two days trying to get someone to get her some more medication. Apparently they called in a prescription and never notified her. The nurse set her up with a FaceTime appointment for two weeks later which did take place and scheduled another FaceTime appointment in one month. At this time we had just changed phone companies and they attempted to call her on FaceTime, but it did not go through. When we called the office they Said that they had tried several times and could not get a hold of her so they canceled the appointment. My wife Really needed to talk to the nurse or the doctor for advice about her medication. She begged the lady, Debra, to just have the nurse or the doctor called her for one minute.. At that point Debra would not answer any questions and only told her that there would be a letter coming to her. We just got that letter and they dropped her as a patient because of our failure to achieve/maintain an effective parent/physician relationship . My wife has been unable to talk to the doctor and get some basic questions answered about her prescription. That is all she was trying to do and they dropped her because of it. The only interaction my wife had with Dr. Hunter was great. However, she was unable to have any success at all with Debra and doesn t even know for sure whether Dr. Hunter ever got the messages. We received two letters, one registered, both signed by Dr. Hunter saying she would no longer be her doctor. This is extremely unprofessional, and now my wife has to start all over again and has had the same problem for months with no way to get any help.

I would give zero stars if I could. The absolute worst experience that I hope no one else has to go through. It s quite sad the lack of empathy and care these women have shown my mother and I. They have cancelled appointments on us the day of while arriving to the office and made us wait weeks in order to get rescheduled to then be told that was also canceled and would hear more through a letter in the mail?! So now we re going to wait who knows how long to hear while running out of the medication THEY PRESCRIBED and won t refill leaving us out to dry with no way to get a refill or even an answer but instead send us a letter in the mail?!?! What a terrible protocol when dealing with someones health and hormones. That is not something to take lightly and yet somehow they do not care one bit. So terribly sad and disappointing. I pray that my mom is able to find a better doctor that will treat her the way she deserves before her medication runs out.

Dr. Hunter is, by far, the best Doctor I have encountered.. and I have had many many different doctors. I have been a patient for over 22 years. The level of care she provides her patients is such a rarity for South Texas. She is so knowledgeable, professional, so friendly, and most importantly truly cares and advocates for her patients. I know I am in good hands with her.

I love this doctor. She is the only one in 15 years to take enough time to diagnose me. She has excellent bedside manner and made me feel like she cares about me. Because of her I was able to get pregnant. I only wish she was still an obstetrician. Thank you so much Dr. Hunter!
