Stayed at the resort over Christmas break, and this was one of the restaurants on site. It was very relaxed and we were some of the only people. It was perfect. The beer and food was delicious and our waiter was super cool. Thanks!

We ate lunch here on our first day staying on the property. The food was good. We especially enjoyed their wings, fries, and burger. Nicole, the manager and our waitress was very friendly and wanted to ensure we enjoyed our visit at their restaurant. They were very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely return on a future visit.

When we arrived there were 3 seated tables. Waited 35 minutes for food. The burger was great , fries where cold. Service was meh . Two burgers 50 bucks in a high end resort. When I mentioned my concern for the cold fries I got apologies and it s not usually this packed 4-5 tables seated by this time ?You can get great burgers at lots of places so it s no for me.

We went here for breakfast while in town on vacation and it was wonderful! We did get an orange juice that was bad but as soon as we mentioned it the server replaced it immediately and the second one was fine. Awesome location! If you can score a window seat...do it. The views are amazing. My co-worker and I had a relaxing, delicious meal. We got the nachos with gound beef and jalapenos slices to start. I ordered the honey habanero fried chicken sandwich, which was tasty, but needs to be more habaneroy. He ordered the blackened Cajun burger. He said it was really good. Their iced tea was lack-luster...why dont restaurants brew their own tea??? It isnt that hard to do! To end this meal, we got their amazing strawberry layer cake...it was divine! Coffee was good too.

We went here only because we were late getting to a formal event at the hotel. We realized when we arrived that its a golf clubhouse, but its the worst high-end one Ive visited - and I played golf for 35 years. Onion rings had a spicy teriyaki-like batter, so they were not the traditional crispy style rings we get in this area. And the onion was raw! The burger meat had a frozen, low quality taste. The brioche bun was about the only thing that was not sub-standard. We were surprised when we arrived that only two tables were occupied in the entire place, then we found out why. And the $4.25 iced tea........!

Everything is absolutely perfect for a chill happy hour. Service, staff, and food were all wonderful. The only downfall at the time was low on beer selection due to vendor issues. The next time we went, all the tap beer was out. Next time well call ahead...because we really enjoy the place.

Nice atmosphere if more people had been there. It was practically empty. Great TVs for watching a game. Pretty good food. Most of us had the game day special which was a burger, fries and a beer for $16. Unfortunately none of their taps were working so it really limited the assortment of beers available (can beer only) This place definitely has potential.

Extremely slow service in its entirety. over 30 minutes for us to even receive our cocktail orders - only to send them back. Very long wait for our food to arrive, to then receive a meat burger instead of the impossible patty I requested. As a vegetarian, this is horrifying and just unacceptable. Poor, and insanely slow service. We will NOT be going back.

This place has the view of the golf course. I ordered a club sandwich and a salad. It was the perfect lunch. The waitress was both friendly and professional. The bartender created the drinks I asked for which were a tequila sunrise, tequila moonrise, and a fusion of the two which I called the La Cantera Eclipse. All three drinks were amazing! The ambiance was peaceful and enjoyable.

Went here for restaurant week, everything was delicious! From the appetizer to the dessert, I left very satisfied. They have an extensive beer/drink list which I think is awesome. I had the spicy honey habanero fried chicken sandwich, it was delicious! Not spicy at all really for myself but I was okay with that. My husband really liked his bourbon burger. Even the fries were nice and crunchy. The mud pie was HUGE at the end, I was only able to eat half. I had the Mac and cheese bites for appetizer, they couldve used a little more salt for flavor but otherwise, it was a perfect visit with great service.

Visiting San Antonio and staying near the area, friends suggested to meet here for happy hour, waitress and bar tender were super friendly and helpful. Food and cocktails were good. The place wasnt over crowded which made me feel better with the pandemic surging, I felt comfortable enough to relax and enjoy my vaccinated friends company with the beautiful scenery.

Had a very nice time with friends after a round on the course. Lots of different beer/wine/liquor selections. I wasn t a big fan of the lemon pepper wings I ordered, as they were very small with not a lot of meat on them. I also ordered the Mac and cheese burger which was amazing! A side note on complimenting the customer service: a buddy with me also ordered a burger but his cheese came with the plastic wrap still on it. When he addressed the server with the issue, they immediately took the plate and re-made him a new entree.

Best Burger we have had ever. The fried egg and thick bacon with double meat and cheese. Sam has great customer service and made us feel welcomed. Like the Big screen TVs and bar is fully stocked. I can see and taste why this place gets great reviews. They can take a simple grill cheese sandwich and bring it up a few notches. Absolutely delicious. This place has really nice amenities and appropriate seating. The bar is large and has specialty cocktails for everyone. The entry is a little misleading but there are several entry points. The outdoor views are gorgeous and show the nicely kept golf course. It has a very nice outdoor walking area as well.

Its a cool place for a late afternoon happy hour. It doesnt get too busy but I was out of there before 7pm. Its a full service restaurant, with a full bar, wine, and about 20 craft beers on tap - most of them brewed in Texas. Monday through Saturday from 3p to 7p, they have $5 wells, $5 drafts, $7 burgers and appetizers. Id hate to see what their prices are like AFTER happy hour - OUCH! The patio/balcony kicks @ss, but theres no table service out there. However, if you order food at the bar, they will bring it out to you. Awesome views of the golf course and its up on a hill, so on a clear day you can see the city skyline WAAAYYY off in the distance. The signage to find the actual building is lacking, but if you use Google Maps (DONT use Apple Maps!) it will get you to the parking lot and then you can use the walking feature of Google Maps to locate which building it is. There are a couple of non descript buildings here that all look the same. But again, Google Maps got me exactly where I needed to be. Didnt have food, just drinks.

The surfaces are hard, therefore the space was very loud and echoey. The interior is very modern and fits into the typology. We were immediately greeted by a hostess and our waitress. Two separate managers checked up on us during our meal to make sure we were ok. The kids food was out of the kitchen within 10 min and on point. The serving size for the kids was generous the chicken strips were thoughtfully crafted and very juicy. We had the SA Restaurant week special, while either selection is recommended, we especially enjoyed the tomato basil bisque and the pork chop. This pork chop rivaled those of specialty steak houses. The brussel sprouts were ridiculously delicious.

It is Grill 254 now and it is fabulous. Had the Egg+bacon burger and the Loaded fat fries. Would highly recommend even if you are not golfing. Great local beer selection.
