I went in to watch the Man Utd game on Sep 21. I wasn t sure if they were showing the game, so I asked the bar lady. You d swear I d asked her if humans breathe air. She was visibly frustrated with my question and even ignored me for a bit. I then asked her a question about food, and she was very short with me. I eventually had to say, Let s start over again, to try and reset the mood, which she did not react to. She made the whole experience horrible, to the point where I will never go back there. If management is reading this wow, how can you let someone like that be the first impression customers receive?

Dropped in for a quick drink and a bit while out sightseeing in Austin. Now granted it s a Monday afternoon and we were the only ones in there along with two others. The waitress had rap music cranked up so loud we had to talk so loudly over each other. Didn t like the credit card surcharge and the automatic tip. We had to get up from our table to go pay the bill at the bar because the waitress was doing her lashes behind the bar. Not for us.

If you enjoy warm, stuffy, volume on high speakers with rude bartenders who never give you the food you ordered than this is the place for you. The bald male bartender was rude and sparky. We ordered drinks and food. After 30 minutes still no food. When I asked at the bar there was no offer to check on the food just cashed me out minus the food. The volume for the TV speakers was so loud you could not talk without shouting even sitting next to each other on the couch which was stained by the way. The ac was not adequate causing us to sweat. We made it 30 minutes before we left. If the bartender wasnt so rude and the volume unnecessarily high we would have stayed. We wont be back. Too many bars in downtown Austin to tolerate this environment.

My friends and I stopped in for a drink as we explored downtown because it looked like it had a cool atmosphere. However, the bar tender left much to be desired. He looked bored or annoyed, and the drink he made for me was not worth the price we paid. We might have stayed for another, but he was bringing down our vibe. Then we saw the receipt, and they automatically added gratuity.

Asked for a recommendation, and the waitress just said I dont know and blank stare. I dunno if all I had was the one table and my livelihood depened on my tips, I might want to pay better attention to my one table. It would have been 5 stars but the customer service was in the toilet.

Tara makes THE best espresso martinis, she s so friendly and always made me feel welcomed. Had some less positive experiences with some of the other staff so I pretty much only came here for Tara. 75 fans show up to watch a game they refuse to turn the sound in in the bar that is chocked full of tv s which would lead a person to believe that the establishment caters to sports fans. You would be totally and completely incorrect! If your heart is set on watching a game here, get ready for major disappointment! Biggest game of the year and the staff is informed by the owner Niall that they are not allowed to turn the sound on for a 10:30am match on a Sunday due to the coincidental fact that it s St. Paddy s Day. Even though and in spite of the fact that the bar is full of football loving Irishmen. Is that enough to persuade them to flip the sound so that the 75+ people that showed up at 10am on a Sunday some driving for hours to enjoy the company of their friends and fellow sports fans are left disappointed and in disbelief that the owner of this self proclaimed and advertised sports bar utterly, absolutely and unapologetically refused to cater to is clients. Shame on you.

Great pub to watch United play. Went here for the FA cup final, disappointing loss but great atmosphere in the pub with other Utd fans. Lots of TV screens, plenty of standing room with strong AC. For seating there are booths, couches and bar stools but everything was packed with people. Bar seemed a little understaffed given how crowded it was, nevertheless we got good IPAs and lagers on the tap, and they have the usual Heineken/Modelo etc. Could not order food since we didn t get a table . Clean ladies restrooms; apparently the gentlemen s have TV screens inside . Edit: the Pub opens a little before 9.30 AM when there is a United match.

The bartender was great and friendly. The atmosphere was great and felt like an American Irish Pub. I had the Cottage Pie because I was impressed that someone knew the difference between Cottage Pie & Sheppards Pie. It looked good but the taste left something to be desired. The cheese covering looked a bit like a french onion soup would & that didnt scare me off, but the dish tasted like nothing but cheese. There must have been parmesan cheese in the mashed potatoes & meat because that was all I could taste. VERY disappointed in the meal. And then there was an added automatic 20% tip included in my bill. I was dining alone so it was odd to see that. Im a very good tipper but I hate when a business adds what they think I should tip for service that they did not witness. Tipping should always be discretionary.

I had the cottage pie. And normally cottage pie or shepherds pie comes with ground, lamb, or ground beef. What I got was ground beef that seemed to have taco seasoning in it. It tasted like ground beef taco meat in it. If that s the case you need to rename it to the Mexican pie in an Irish pub. Also, I take offense to places that automatically charge a 20% gratuity. Gratuity is earned it is not a given. I don t go back to places that automatically charge gratuity.

We had fish tacos (very good), hot chicken sandwich (very good), fish and chips (my son wasn t a fan but I liked it), their only burger (was okay), and then corn dogs (surprisingly good). Not busy at all, service was good (but had to go to the bar to request our bill), just wish there were some more food options.

Average bar food & drinks; above average prices. The thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was the automatic 20% tip and credit card fee. I usually tip 20% but adding it automatically for a party of 2 and then begging for more seems wrong to me. If you need to reason your prices, do it. But don t try to nickel and dime me. This place and food quality is clearly geared towards hoping customers will be too drunk to notice those. Shame, I just started a job around the corner but I doubt I will be back. They made a business decision to scam a couple of extra bucks off me tonight and as a result, I won t be back unless the change their practices. We showed up and the bartender had no idea about it, couldnt tell us their tv provider so WE could look up the channel, and just walked away from us without communicating if he was trying to go find out or was giving up. He claimed his manager didnt open to leave the channel info and acted like it wasnt his problem. Terrible customer service. Will not return.

We stumbled into this place just exploring downtown. Food was great, and Marquell was fantastic behind the bar- all his recs were on point! Order the pickle back- they make it in house, and it s absolutely amazing. Food was also great, and they had a great selection of both Irish beers and whiskeys. Highly recommend, and will be back!

Disclosure- we didnt eat here, but it was my husbands planned request for Fathers day. When we walked in, we were very pleased with the atmosphere. However, after speaking to the incredibly rude waiter who couldnt give two shi**, we were told our teenagers couldnt stay because they were underage. What a huge disappointment for us, but especially my husband as he really wanted to go here. I dont remember seeing anything about an age limit on their website and I know for a fact that British pubs are not set up like that.

This place was just ok really. Food was pretty average and so were the drinks. They don t have wait staff and you order from your phone, which is efficient but the prices are around $2 more per item when you do so.

Awesome food and staff! We brought a large group in last night just before the kitchen closed We met the chef who was already off work and he was more than happy to discuss the menu with us. When the food orders from our group started pouring in the chef went back to the kitchen to help his staff complete the orders. The bartenders were fast and thorough.

Great place to watch sports with a warm and cozy Irish vibe! So many HD TVs everywhere you look, including the bathrooms. The food is great and the beer selection is awesome (a couple Irish brews on tap!). I go mainly to watch Iowa Hawkeye football games, but they ve got lots of English soccer and other sports playing all of the time! Ask a waiter/worker and they ll surely put a game on for you. I ll be coming here a lot!

The Pub is quickly become the spot to watch all Soccer games for me. As a Manchester United supporter, I love the atmosphere that this place draws out of people. During the Euros the bar was filled with England supporters cheering their team on. If you want to know or experience what supporters are like during games, check this place out during big games during the season. Highly recommend. As for drinks it can be pretty pricey at times but the food is solid.

During my route, I made a pit stop at The Pub. As soon as you walk in its like walking into a lost island with the decorative tree to greet you. The ambiance reminds me of a vintage pub that you would find in the movies. The staff incredible Ive been here only once before and they remembered me. I was hungry so I ordered Cottage Pie OMGGGG! The best Ive ever had. My hats off to Jarell, the chef. I will be a regular staple here. So everyone come by and become part of The Pub family.
