Stayed at the hotel for 5 days and 2 of the 5 days the kitchen would be closed for lunch. This was annoying because I d plan to eat lunch here on my way out and find it to be closed. There would be no warning that it wouldn t be open and the signage would still show hours until 2. Seemed pretty normal to the staff like it happened often.

Service was terrible tonight. Completely empty restaurant yet the 2 guys behind the bar couldnt be bothered to great our table for at least 15 minutes as we sat in plain view. We came here bc we saw a delicious looking picture of some sirloin and fries and the online menu looked inviting. Well both of those were a lie. The in person menu was completely different from Googles online one, and Ive attached the picture of the rare tenderloin I received. Absolutely flavorless, even adding salt could not save this dish. Mashed potatoes tasted like bland mush too. I dont know how you can remove the garlic taste from garlic butter but this place found a way and made it seem like I was eating a steak sitting in oil. The fish tacos my bf had came out Luke warm and were very small sized, like street tacos, for $14!! Highway robbery. Will not return for dinner anytime soon, we were just too tired from our drive in to go out to eat this evening. Bc of how subpar the food was, and small portions with fine dining prices, we had to go out and find other food anyways. If this place has such low standards they should lower their prices too. $59 for crappy steak and 3 tiny tacos made for a bad experience. Skip it and just go out to eat at any of the other fantastic restaurant options around S.A.

Nick, the bartender, made my wife and I the best drinks weve ever had. His quickness and attentiveness to his customers was exceptional. At no point in time did we ever have to wait for a drink, food, or a conversation. He made our time in San Antonio special, and his drinks and his customer service are out of this world. 5/5 across the board. Also, the food is good too, but the drinks are incredible. My favorite bar I drank at in San Antonio.

Vanessa and Greg are great bartenders and made the bar lively and fun along with Crystal making the experience awesome as well. Breakfast could use a little help. Food in the afternoon is the greatest. Monday night is the best night. Food

The only reason I am not rating this place perfect is only because nothing is perfect. The atmosphere and vibe of the staff is truly awesome. The servers (Crystal Cortez) was attentive and quick with her service while maintaining and professional and friendly demeanor. The chefs (Chef William and chef Camiño) at SoFrio are masters at their craft. The food is incredibly good while having some of the best prices for a restaurant downtown. This has easily become a favorite place for me to get some award winning food and drinks. If you have not been here, PLEASE do yourself a favor and hurry up!!! You DO NOT have to stay at the hotel to eat there!!!!

Such excellent service. Patty was our server she was exceptional. She was informative and attentive, giving recommendations to guest. Helping with breakfast keeping coffee cups full. Clean and organized. Chef came out and checked for quality at each table. Front desk and staff very friendly. Overall food was very flavorful. Tell you family and friends not to miss out on SoFrio restaurant downtown San Antonio. Hotel looked very clean and welcoming.

While staying at the double tree I ordered my breakfast to go from SoFrios where I also purchased a Starbucks drink. The miss attending me in the area was very Hospitable and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and the presentation was immaculate...all in the comfort of your own hotel...I definitely recommend..

Hands down the best bartenders. They took such good care of my son and me during our 3 night stay at the hotel. Fun conversation. Attentive service. All around, a great time. Oh-and the food was good, too. Had the queso appetizer twice.

The breakfast we ordered was not what we asked for and the eggs were flat out disgusting and watery. Not worth it at all. My partner wanted over easy and they gave her over hard and I asked for scrambled w/cheese and got watery eggs with no cheese. This whole experience with this place and the hotel is absolutely ROTTEN.

Oh, man! This place is delicious. I try to live a somewhat low carb lifestyle and SoFrio offers some delicious options. I had the pleasure to indulge in their 10oz sirloin topped with garlic roasted mushrooms and a side of asparagus. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Im a cook myself so I dont say this lightly. However, when I want to eat clean carbs SoFrio also offers amazing options in that department as well; the Buddha Bowl comes to mind. Wow! Its amazing and lays siege upon your taste buds in an explosion of flavors. Its delicious and the best part? Its light, but not too light to be unfulfilled and not too heavy to leave you unfuctional or lethargic. I also had the pleasure to try the Brussels. I know many people arent fans of these little cruciferous vegetables, but SoFrios will change your mind. I couldnt believe they were Brussels. They were roasted superbly with sweet and smokey notes from the cashews that are also an integral ingredient to this tasty side. Yes, SoFrio is located within the Double Tree in downtown San Antonio. Yes, its open to the public and I hope more people find this gem of a place. Im personally looking forward to eating here again. The staff is also ace! Very attentive and friendly. Go to SoFrio!
