City Acre Brewing

About the Company

rating: 4.7

City Acre is a wonderful, backyard style brewery and full restaurant. We have a climate-controlled ice-house style taproom and the sprawling acre gives customers plenty of room to spread out and distance themselves from others.

We had a great time playing boardgames at this place, and the food was so delicious! Service was attentive, fast and friendly. We really enjoyed the ample space to get our group together! Definitely recommend if you are wanting to spend time with friends and need space for board games night. Thursdays they have Lotería and happy hour all day :) Dietary restrictions: They marked their menu with allergy related info which was very helpful

This place is dog friendly, we brought our brand new puppy and he had a blast on that big yard. The food is excellent, the portions are very generous, we will definitely come back when visiting the Houston area. I highly recommend it. Kid-friendliness: Big yard with lots of grass for kids to play around, it feels like having a picnic.

I visit a lot of breweries and this is my favorite one. Everything about this place is awesome the staff is so cool and awesome the beers are so fresh and some of the best I ve ever had and the area outside is one of my favorite places to sit and have a brew, it is a vibe. Not to mention the supercool gaming place that is on premise where you can play lots of cool board and rpg games, bring your own or they have plenty for you to play of their own. One of my favorite places this place is awesome!!!

We had our wedding at this beautiful brewery/beer garden. The outdoor vibe is incredibly beautiful. They have recently renovated a lot of the outdoor area. Our wedding was the first event after the renovations, and I could not be happier with the way everything turned out. We let them handle the bar and food aspects and they nailed it. Everyone loved the drinks and food we served. Everyone commented about how it was the most beautiful outdoor wedding they have ever attended. I will be making the effort to return after the public re-grand opening.

We had our wedding here in November 2023, and it was absolutely perfect!! We had lots of beer lovers in our family, and they all really enjoyed the beer on tap! They also catered to specifically what we needed/wanted to be served for our event, which made everything much easier for us! The owners are wonderful, and one of them is also an event coordinator if you need an all-in-one experience (venue, catering, bar, and planner). The property was gorgeous and had plenty of space to accommodate our guests, and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Everyone had a great time dancing, playing cornhole/beanbag toss, etc. It was such a fun environment, and we could not be more happy with our experience there!

They are wonderful, polite, truly helpful people who are committed to customer service! The brewery has a magical atmosphere with all the lights lit at night! It s an oasis in the busy hustle and bustle of Houston. It s a perfect place to just relax and enjoy the beautiful grounds. 10/10 would recommend 1,000 times to everyone I know!

Chic brewery with a very farm to market vibe. They grow a lot of the vegetables that they use in their menu items and some they use in their variety of brews. Came here with my family to meet up for lunch and greatly enjoyed our visit. There was plenty of room outside for the kids to play, and they are dog friendly. We ordered a couple of beers and food. The guy helping us navigate the food and beers was super friendly and very helpful. We sample some beers and then ordered our food. My little cousins enjoyed their house made rootbeers, and we enjoyed their berry IPA and Mesa Cerveza. Food came out pretty quickly, and overall, it was really good. The chicken for the chicken and waffles was very moist and had the perfect crunchy skin. The only tiny issue I had was that the waffles were very sweet. With the hot syrup it it was a little sweetness overload. There tots, though, are AMAZING! Excited to go back to try more!

It was okay. We went on a Sunday and there was one guy behind the register and another doing the cooking. The French fries were awesome (and crispy) the reat was okay. The nachos were alright with pulled pork, but the flavor came from the bbq sauce. The pretzel was just bread with salt. The cheese sauce was worse than velvety. The patio is nice and the bathrooms are clean. Its not bad for an afternoon of drinking, but its not my first choice. Their house made mineral water is the best. Id give that 5 stars and I dont even like bubble water.

Lovely little brewery with food and a big yard. They have a small menu for food but it s a beautiful setting hidden in the heart of Houston. A must stop for beer fans.

The venue is awesome. So many plants and trees, and when the back area is open so very spacious. Chef Ricks food is to die for. And lets not forget theyre a brewery. Plenty of great styles to choose from.

Came last week with some girl friends and had a blast! Now I came for lunch special with son and it was so good. This is my favorite spot now... food is great. beer is good and the staff is so friendly. Too bad the ghostbuster movie night is sold out I would of loved bringing my boys here to enjoy an old time favorite movie and relax. Tin and Jocelyn are awesome! So recommend to come and chill with or without family...

I would come back in a heartbeat. Was given this place as a recommendation and I m glad we came. Hidden gem for sure. The cowboy burger and pulled pork egg rolls were REALLY good. The beer was great and found out about their flavored frozes when we were ready to leave. I highly recommend City Acre!

These guys remain a hidden gem in North Houston. . A great little brewery that would easily have all other breweries shaking in their boots if they were to go state or nation wide with their flavors. My all time favorite is Choctopus its a season porter that is strawberry and chocolate flavored, no doubt its the best beer iv ever had. The fact that the owner is super humble is what keeps me coming back. He sat down to chat with me once and I asked him why dont you have your beers in stores?, the porter alone would make you a millionaire and he said were happy being a small brewery and I like trying out different recipes so if youre looking for a place to grab a cold craft beer and great food this is the place for you.
