On the Franco special, the chicken was dry so I put extra chili to mask the problem, no use telling the owner, normally goes in one ear and out the other. So now i do these reviews inside... my 80 year old mother can make tastier chicken...

I came here and was greeted with kindness and excitement from the moment I walked in. I felt like more than a customer, I felt like a person. Our server was great. If youre ever in San Angelo or passing by.. STOP HERE to eat!! Our friend recommended a few places, and we picked this one. Soooo glad we did. Omg it was absolutely delicious . Our server was fantastic. I wish I remembered her name, but I she has a tat on the right side of her neck. Thank you so much for helping pick our meals with your suggestions for newbies. We are DEFINITELY coming back again and again.

Eclectic decor, interesting location, varied menu of Mexican favorites. The tacos were crisp and beefy, and the enchiladas were cheesy, but the sauce was bland. Rice and beans were typical. Nachos were crispy and beefy. I do want to try the guiso next time.

The owner of this quaint and unsuspecting place greets each customer like a friend of years. The food is warm and fresh, and full of the TexMex flavors people crave. You wont regret a trip in for a warm meal and a very cold beer. Parking: The parking at peak times can be iffy and dont park in front of the neighboring glass business. That guy is a tyrant.

We were disappointed with the food. We thought that with the owners being from Francos, the food would be just as delicious as Francos, but we were wrong! My husbands steak was small, thin, and tough. It didnt have the flavor as Francos. I couldnt eat my enchilada or tamale plate. It was too salty. I ate my salty taco because I was hungry. Salsa was served hot, like they cooked/warmed it up. (Doesnt taste as good served hot) I guess back to Fuentes we go.

This place is a complete vibe. It is rich with culture, authentic music, and really good food. Its not big in size, its a cozy experience that packs a mighty punch when it comes to food and drinks. The service was top notch and timely. The chips and salsa flow freely. Something a little different from other restaurants is that the salsa is served really warm. I had the cheese enchiladas and the gravy on them was EVERYTHING . I ordered one beef enchilada,as a add on. I have to admit that it didnt quite stand up to the cheese ones. All in all, It is definitely a place you should give a try!

I arrived in San Angelo from out of State and I always Stop at my favorite Mexican restaurant to pick up Cinco Cinco nachos but the restaurant was closed for the holidays. I ended up at Jalapeños Locos for the Cincos. I was very disappointed because the fajita meat was tough, the guacamole was tasteless and so my hopes for good Mexican food came crushing down. Very Parking: There didnt seem to be parking available.

We were a party of 20, and we were served pretty quick and they were busy. Our waitress was excellent I wish I could remember her name, the food is Great there and the way its presented on the plate is awesome our drinks (diet Pepsi) were always filled when our glasses were a little under half way. We dont eat out much when home, but when we do, it is usually Jalapeno Locos. Service is great. Grilled catfish is a fav as well as the fried avocado salad. Their chips and salsa are the best. Salsa has good flavor but not crazy hot, and chips are thin and crispy. Street tacos and taco salad are really good as well. Husband loves the guisada. Great margaritas. Pleasant atmosphere.

We had family visit from out of town. Tamale festival was the reason they were in town so after experiencing downtown we went to Antique shops we decided to get a bite to eat before they headed back home to Brownwood. I suggested this establishment vs what they wanted it was closer to the area at the time. My cousins wife rt off the bat stated that the inside was nice and inviting, the cold beer and food they really enjoyed. Staff was pleasant food was excellent as always, thanks for experience

Great food and great staff. Fast service. Bernie is a way cool guy who runs the ship with his father and family. This place has lots of local history. Open since March 2017 and going strong yet. Full bar area as well. Said to have best margaritas in town. Nacho plates looked amazing we saw coming out. My fajitas had a killer good seasoning on them. Beans and rice also done just right. Will be back here again for sure. Great 4-7pm weekday happy hour going here as well.

I heard a lot of really good things about this restaurant, so i figured i would give it a try. Even the 400+ positive reviews led me to believe the trip would be worth it. However, I knew i was in trouble when i tried to order pitchers of margarita s. The server said they didn t serve pitchers but would ask if it could be done. The bartender did accommodate the request but the margs were too sweet and overpriced. The food was subpar to my hispanic roots. This is Americanized food, not real Mexican food. The servers and hostess were pleasant. This review is based on food and drinks alone.

I m not very keen to trying something other than my go to s because I often get disappointed. Let me tell y all this place never disappoints! I got the torta and added poblano on it and it was huge and it was delicious. I was only able to eat half. The service was friendly and quick, food was hot, restrooms and restaurant are clean and the owner himself was working in seating people. I think that I m itself has a lot to say about the environment and quality of the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

My first visit was the week of(9/23/22) for lunch. We thought their food was great. The place was packed and our waitress was busy managing too many tables. So it wasnt easy to get her attention for refills or more chips. She actually did a good job for the number of tables she served. I do plan visiting Jalapenos again. Their food has a different flavor than other restaurants in San Angelo, I enjoyed that.
