Came on Saturday and it was SO loud. The baristas were yapping away with the friends at the bar. Many people were trying to get work done including myself but I guess it s not that kind of place, more a chitchat place. Also, I got this drunk called churro and it was absolutely disgusting. As you can see I didn t have more than one sip. It tasted spoiled and sour. Didn t feel comfortable telling the server since she was too busy yapping with her friend (pink haired server)

I really wanted to like this place! I went inside and ordered the churro iced latte with avocado toast. The people working werent friendly. I literally walked in, the girl at the front smiled and said Good Morning but that was the extent of it. I stood there looking for the menu and she smiled and pointed to where to order. I then ordered and sat down. It was quiet, as I looked at the cute little place everyone raved about. When my food was ready it was thrown up on the counter and the cook said order for my name. I walked out and thought, man that wasnt the usual peppyness of my usual coffee shop. The coffee fine but nothing I have to go back for.

I was so excited to look this coffee shop up, but was a little let down. I was in town on business, my daughter and I like to find little coffee places that serve actual food. I went early on a Saturday morning. I was excited for my pour over. I love pour over coffees. Mine was just ok. Then I wanted elote toast. That sounded great. But they werent doing food. I could only get yogurt or oats. Then I asked if they had some cookies. And no. I was disappointed. I might try again if Im ever in town again. When youre expecting breakfast and need it to last a while, yogurt just doesnt do it. The yogurt was however good, Im just still hungry! For a halfway good cup of coffee and to still be hungry, I couldve just gone to starbucks.

1st time trying this place out. My partner and I weren t let down. I got an iced mocha and it was exactly what I needed for the day. It was sweet but not to sweet and the coffee flavor was strong with subtle after taste. :) Just the way I like it. We both decided to share the hummus lunch Box. Its comes with a sandwich that has hummus, lettuce, cucumber, and pickled onions, a side salad and their chips which I believe are house made. Needless to say we got seconds. It was a perfect light lunch to energize us for the day. Definitely recommend . Especially if your vegan/ Vegetarian. They also have options for meat eaters. But to find a good spot with decent vegetarian/vegan options is hard to find. Will be coming back soon. Vegetarian options: Very vegetarian, vegan friendly menu Dietary restrictions: They have many options for those with dairy reatrictions, ext..

Definitely will come back whenever visiting family. They have curbside pickup I believe. It looks like it used to be a gas station that they fixed up and used the two pumps as covered parking for drive thru & curbside pickup for online orders. Genius idea. The starcup s macchiato (what I got) is basically a stirred Starbucks macchiato but I like buttercup s version much better and since it s made pre-stirred there s no clumps and the flavor is more consistent. The two baristas were both super nice (forgot to check if they had name tags). The song they had playing was calming but upbeat. The whole cafe was super cute and if I lived here I d definitely come study in here. It s not huge but definitely bigger than it looks from the outside 10/10 local cafe. Wheelchair accessibility: Their patio is flat/ramped so you can easily get up to the door. However, The doorways are a tad narrow so a more narrow chair will fit but i don t know if a bulkier one would. My 1950s build home had narrower doorways for reference.

This will be a very positive review. The first and main advantage of this place is that it was open on Sunday morning. Its a very good business idea to be open at the hour when all downtown San Angelo is asleep and for breakfast you only have McDonalds. I liked the coffee, and the options for different breakfasts and pastries. It was delicious. But I especially liked their glassware, real (not plastic) forks and spoons, and a sign on their restroom. Highly recommend this place for all locals and visitors.

An unexpected gem in the heart of San Angelo. The vibe here, from the way its decorated inside and outside to the music playlist to the people working, is top notch and so rare in west Texas. The BBQ grilled cheese sandwich, Cinnamon roll, and salted caramel and churro coffees with cold brew ice cubes were excellent. They even have a bunch of gluten free and vegan options on the menu, which is a life-saver for my wife with celiac. This place made our morning and we will be back every time we are in San Angelo! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free and vegan options for abiut half the menu.

I often visit Buttercup Cafe and always have such a great experience that I had to leave a positive review! This coffee shop has a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The decor is fun and whimsical, with plenty of unique touches. The customer service at Buttercup Cafe is truly exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They were happy to answer my questions and make recommendations, and went out of their way to ensure that my visit was a great one. Of course, the real star of the show is the coffee. Buttercup Cafe serves up some of the most delicious coffee Ive ever tasted. Its smooth, rich, and just the right amount of bold. And lets not forget about the food - the goat toast is so yum! I could easily eat it every day and never get tired of it. Overall, I cant recommend Buttercup Cafe enough. Whether youre looking for a place to catch up with friends, work remotely, or simply enjoy a great cup of coffee and a tasty snack, this coffee shop is a must-visit. Dont hesitate - go check it out for yourself!

When I usually come to Buttercup, my experience with the staff is more delightful and accommodating than it was this time around. The girl who took our order didnt seem to know a lot about the menu, especially the lunch boxes. She genuinely seemed confused when I brought up things about them. With every previous experience, we could substitute a side green salad for a different one (elote or chicken salad). Instead, I was told that they cannot do that and was charged an additional $8 for the smallest portion that you could possibly imagine with way too many crackers and the smallest spoonful of salad (separate dish). The manager or lead was not very friendly when asked to be given a little more salad instead of the small portion that we got today and insisted that they NEVER did substitutions for their salads. When I showed them picture evidence of a previous time I got the same lunchbox with the substitution, their excuse was Oh, the menu has changed a lot. & they tried charging us an additional $8 for another order because we came back and asked for a little bit more than what we got. It is absolutely ridiculous and overpriced. This is a picture that I showed them with my substitution (previous time) no additional charge. Not worth it at all & the manager or lead tried to say they never did substitutions.

As a general rule I really enjoy this place. Nice relaxed atmosphere. No pushy coffee house vibes here. Just good food and laid back vibes. My go to for breakfast is The GOAT . It is an amazing blend of creamy, crunchy, tart, sweet AND acidic. I normally spoil myself once a week after I drop the children off at school. I was disappointed this day, my toast was soft and untoasted, my avocado was hunked into quarters, not thinly sliced as normal , lack of seasoning and an over pour of honey. Consistency is the key to keeping a cute kitschy spot like this popular.

A unique coffee shop to study and read books. No loud noises which will help you a lot to concentrate on what you do. They do have a variety of coffee drinkd and a great bar selection you can choose from. I honestly love the great interior all over the place. They have other items for purchase as well, I bought a glass straw and my drink was the Vietnamese coffee. You can also buy pure honey. We were passing through San Angelo and it was a nice stop. Trust me! You will not be disappointed for sure! The staff was really awesome and very friendly!

Unfortunately you lost 2 customers today. Because of how high the prices went up . Almost 10 dollars for a cup of coffee in on the outrageous side.

I love small town coffee places, but this one brings me back to Europe, not all European, but a mixture of both American and European environment, I love it, family friendly, college friendly, but the brunch there is amazing. Not to mention their coffee.

The coffee is the best! If you re looking for more than overnight oats or avocado toast to eat then find an actual cafe. Cafe was a stretch on the breakfast menu. If you want a legit delicious latte then this is the spot! (But not for breakfast)

I make the 5 hour drive from Austin to Odessa when visiting family and normally stop at the Starbucks. It was closed for renovations, but I was in need of a coffee. Buttercup is adorable with extremely friendly baristas. The atmosphere is bright and friendly and it smells like peppermint in the store. Despite it being a little further out of the way, it will be my new stop on my drives to and from Austin.

Just about 2 minutes away by driving or 23 minutes away by walking, Buttercup Cafe was a great place to stop and get a delicious chai tea where I stayed at Econo Lodge San Angelo. The hotel is newly-renovated with a new staff who seem to like tea, ice cream, and coffee so they recommended this Cafe to me. Just down Beauregard like where the hotel is located, it is a convenient stop.

I love when a new small businesses comes to town, I am always the first on board to get behind them. Ive personally had failure and success here in San Angelo market, and I will always be be fair and maybe its just me, but the two times Ive ventured in, I have not come away with a smile. Now I will say the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was that of all your trendy grunge based coffee houses. But both times I went, the product had a somewhat lackluster and pungent. But give it a go, we dont all have to like same things. Cheers- best of luck

Stopped there last Wednesday on our way out of San Angelo. A former employee suggested it. The barista Kyra who to took our order was very knowledgeable of what is in their popular drinks. She was very friendly. We enjoyed talking with her. Our iced coffees were great.
