I ordered through Grubhub in the afternoon for an evening pickup. When I arrived and showed them the confirmation email, they told me: Grubhub doesnt work, goodbye! A more helpful response would have been: Oh, unfortunately, Grubhub isnt working right now, but since you have your confirmation email, we ll prepare your food right away and even include something extra for the inconvenience! Instead, they just wanted me to leave. I explained that I had already paid, but they kept insisting that Grubhub wasnt working. So, I tried explaining slowly in Spanish: Mi dinero ya está en tu banco, por favor prepara mi comida ahora. Their response: No no no, we need to call the owner! After calling the owner twice, checking my email, verifying my bank account for the transaction, and waiting even longer, they finally started preparing my food. At one point, they even tried to take my phone to show the kitchen my order. My food was ready 45 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. As for the food: The fish was chewy and bland, and the crab cake was over-fried. The only decent dish was the stuffed pepper. The entire experience was definitely not worth the $100 I spent. After reading positive reviews, my husband and I were excited to visit the restaurant. However, after our experience, I am left to ask, Why? I became sick after eating the food. I had the shrimp skewer with rice and veggies. The rice of all things was horrible overcooked and mooshy; was cold and had a sour taste which is very concerning. The veggies were oily. The shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. I ordered a salad beforehand and the only dressing offered was ranch. I ended up eating the crackers but even some of them were stale. I will not be returning. I wish it was a better experience, and for the restaurant s sake, I do hope the quality improves and they prove my review wrong.

As soon as we opened the door it smelled like sewage or a very dirty/smelly bathroom. The waitress didnt understand English very well, so we had to point to the item on the menu that we wanted to order. We had to ask for refills and were never checked on after we received our meal. The food was good, but the restaurant could use a remodel as some of the bar chairs fabric was torn and the floors did not appear to have been mopped recently. This restaurant has been around for a very long time, but looks like the owner/owners arent reinvesting money into the business overall. The food is overpriced, over $100 for 3 people and without alcohol, raw oysters or boiled shrimp (which are usually pricey at most places as well) and $3.50 for a glass of iced tea. Ive been here numerous times over my 24 years in Round Rock, but wont be returning after today .

Crawfish was not good and the service was mid. They need a better drink selection. Cheap wine and the catfish wasn t seasoned . Never will return. The restaurant was smoky, I got the broiled catfish and it was gummy and the shrimp rice was old. My friend ordered the fried catfish and I ate one of her filets. We visited Pacific Star on a Friday night. We got a seat immediately. The staff were very friendly. The food was good! We had a fun experience with quick service. They have a special seafood soup that was not on the menu. We bought one to go. When we ate it the next day, it was absolutely delicious. This place is a hidden gem. I recommend it!

I absolutely love supporting local businesses, but this by far was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever been through. For one, there is dust covering everything, from wall decor to the corners/baseboards on the floor. Two, the server brought us tall beers in ice water. Full on, poured up beers in ice water inside a kitchen prep plastic container. They were supposed to be $2.75 but were $6 each. Third, my oysters were served on a SERVER DRINK CARRYING TRAY. I didnt even want to order entrees because I was terrified about what the kitchen looked like behind the scenes. Fourth and final, the AC was out and was almost 90° in the establishment. I know a health inspector would be appalled, and I hope this place cleans up their act. Be careful if you go here, I am not a happy camper whatsoever and honestly want a refund.

Its with a heavy heart that I write this review, given my longstanding admiration for this restaurant. It was my go-to place for the finest gumbo in town until a recent change in kitchen staff led to a disappointing turn of events. My last visit was last year, when I decided to introduce my mother to my favorite dining spot. Unfortunately, the gumbo, which Ive had numerous delightful experiences with, was marred by the inclusion of spoiled food, a strong odor of rancid fish being a clear indication. Regrettably, this issue is tied to the new female chef. As a frequent customer, I was surprised that someone leading the kitchen could overlook such a blatant quality issue. Discussions with the staff only confirmed my concerns about her culinary approach and the impact on the restaurants offerings. Despite the staffs outstanding service, the persisting issue with the food under this chef has made me rethink my visits. I find myself unable to patronize the establishment until the situation is addressed and rectified. My intention is not to tarnish the restaurants reputation, but to express concern over a serious issue. The shortcuts taken by the new chef not only compromise the quality and safety of the dishes, but they could potentially lead to severe legal implications, including the risk of a shutdown or loss of license. I wholeheartedly urge the management to reconsider the current cooking staff arrangements and restore the quality that once made this place great. Its crucial for customer satisfaction and to prevent potential health hazards. I look forward to returning once these concerns are addressed.

We were very dissapointed in our family dining to this place. Our appetizer was brought out partialy cooked. Server returned to get this fixed. Second time around cheese sticks were overcooked and had no cheese!! There were no burgers no chicken sandwiches. The catfish was discusting. Our server advised us that she was sorry for the service and requested the owners to speak with us due to the unavailability of 75% of the items we ordered. The owners refused. We requested to cancel our food order due to nothing being available. The server stated they would make a chicken sandwich with poboy/sub bread, the grilled chicken salad was fried chicken and had lettuce tomatoes and chicken chopped up. I must say this is the worst service we have experienced for $100 plus family dinner. Very disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Have I seriously not rated this place yet? This is by far my favorite place to have crawfish! Most of the food here is fried so I can take it or leave it, but January - May Im here or the 183 one as often as I can be. The rest of the year I crave it every time I drive by. They have a very special way of preparing mud bugs and it is perfect every time. Its like a garlicky wing sauce. I grew up on Cajun wings but these are so much better. The service is always great and the beers are always cold and cheap!

We had a little trouble finding this place after dark (its behind the Dairy Queen), but upon entering we were treated to wonderful food in a cozy atmosphere. Our server was great, and the other patrons were friendly. The food is reasonably priced, and was delicious! I had the rainbow trout special and my wife had the shrimp po-boy. Would definitely recommend to others. Parking: Standard off-street parking. Not much to say. Kid-friendliness: Several families with kids were here while we ate, and it was no problem. Pacific star was pretty tasty for what you got. We got the dozen oysters on the half shell and I got the fried catfish. The catfish was really yummy and the oysters were fresh. My only complaint was that the french fries lacked a little salt. I hate having to add salt to my french fries. It just falls right off. My partner and I went tonight around 9:15 p.m I cant name the waitress becuase she didnt introduce herself. She was pushing to get us done and ou. We ordered the pacific a plate that has Osters and shrimps. He osters were fine, but the Shrimps were old and tasteless. I ordered also a plate wirh fried catfish, shrimps which were tasteless also. The service was good and the beer was cold but I got sick after eating the food. I had my first meal of the day at this restaurant at around 2:50 to 3:10 p.m. central on September 30th 2022. I ordered a burger and had a Shiner beer. I felt fine the whole day but around 5:00 p.m. started feeling very nauseous and had diarrhea. Beer is good. Stay away from the food, it is horrible. Blackened flounder was a tiny filet with no flavor. Stuffed crab was only a shell crammed with batter and herbs. Bad service! The shrimp was rotten and the waiter knew it and even told us not to eat it since we had tried it! And another thing, the waiters almost take the tips out of your wallet, the tip is almost more expensive than the food

The food was okay and the kitchen seemed to be out of a lot of stuff. When my family member ordered a salad on the side they just gave her fries and said they didnt have salad. They shouldve asked her what she wanted as a replacement. The crab cakes are very good but there is only 2 of them. Overall it was a tad bit disappointing but still worth a try.

Ordered oysters. They were broken open instead of properly shucked, so there were shards of shell over everything. Cutting my mouth. One of them had even gone bad, and I nearly threw up on the counter. The server came to ask if everything was alright, and when I mentioned that the oysters were possibly bad, she shrugged it off and asked if that was all I wanted, then gave me the check. A truly bad experience.

First time at this restaurant. Not a bad experience but the gumbo was lukewarm and a bit salty. The fried shrimp was very bland and had a freezer taste to them. The hush puppies were very good but tiny. The fried catfish was good but a little bland as well. All in all, it was good but if you are Cajun like me and expect the seasonings to be there, this may not meet your expectations.

Sooooo goood. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We visited this restaurant to try oysters. And we werent disappointed! Extremely fresh, great size (if you know you know). I think it s one of the bed place with oysters in Austin! Cute and nice salon! Huge bar area. Also they have some sits outside! Love it. Or server was super nice and helpful. Thank you for that! Will be back to raid the rest of the menu!
