This hotel did meet, and in some areas, even exceeded my expectations I have for a Marriott. I was just here for a few nights and they were nice. The room was slightly dated but it was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were very welcoming and happy to see us. She even congratulated me on being a few nights away from becoming a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member (this stay did help me become one) Would stay again if I was around here in the future.

For starters I do not recommend or waste your time at the restaurant Rc Grill. We were waiting there. More than 20 minutes and the servers were just chit. Chatting, walking around and serving other people that just literally sat down gave them alcohol drinks and took their order. This is the worst experience that I ever had. Especially on my birthday.. I will never recommend anyone or ever come and spend my time and money here. I will definitely call corporate! I felt that I was treated unfairly since I am hispanic!!! Rooms: The rooms are nice!!!!

I booked online thru a third party , upon my arrival my reservation was cancelled . My CC have been charged and they could do anything, they wanted to recharge me 3 times the price I paid online. All that so far can be understandable, mistakes from a third party and the hotel . But Having the front desk looking at me weird and laughing at me with they other employees in the front of my kids ! I mean come on , the management of that hotel should be at shame !

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, largely due to the exceptional service and amenities. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast offered was both delicious and well-served, they also have egg station. The club access was a standout feature of my stay. The staff maintained it impeccably, ensuring that food and beverages were consistently refreshed and the area was always clean. It s a shame that the club is closed from Friday through Sunday, but the quality during the open days made up for it. My only minor complaint was the ice machine, which was out of service on most floors. Despite this, the overall experience was very positive, with great front desk service and an excellent club. Highly recommended!

Hotel is nicely situated, just off the I35 parking lot. Its also close to a bunch of malls and eateries and gas stations. Room was nicely appointed and the executive lounge was decent with coffee and softdrinks with snacks. They serve some hot hors doeuvres in the evening and its not too bad. Pretty healthy fare. Was disappointed with the breakfast the next morning. 6:30 AM is when its open for breakfast but none of the items were there by 6:45 and I had to leave to escape Beryl that morning.

Stayed here a month ago to go to a Minor League baseball game and it was really nice. It was so close to food, shopping, and the church we visited. The room was so big and clean. And for the price of the two nights, I would recommend others to stay here. We did have a problem with the AC unit but didnt say anything. The room got very humid at night and the AC unit wouldnt kick on until 6am. But Im thinking it may be because it was extremely hot that weekend. Even though we had the AC issue, the staff that we saw was always super friendly. We would stay here again in the future.

Had confirmed arrival time of 2pm for feather free room (allergies) that wasn t ready as promised (I called ahead) and the previous guest did not even have late check out. We accepted a non feather free room with the promise of foam pillows to be delivered. 2 hours later those came but without pillowcases. The room and bathroom (corroded fixtures low rent shower head for example) and are outdated and musty smelling. The AC doesn t function properly and doesnt effectively cool the room. We were on the 8th floor and even though our room wasn t right next to the elevator, it sounded like it was in our room. It moaned and clanked constantly until about 1 am and began again around 5 am. As a titanium member I stay in Marriott properties all over and this hotel did not live up to the brand would not recommend.

We had a basket ball tournament in round rock. Our team stayed here for a couple nights. Our first night we wanted to have dinner downstairs in the restaurant located in the lobby. We sat down to wait for everyone else to show up. In the meantime 3 of us were never helped or offered a drink. Once everyone did show up the waiter was rude and disrespectful. Began to tell us the full menu wasn t available for such a large group. Never offered us a drink then told us we had to leave because they are not going to serve 15 people dinner. We all sat there speechless. Thought he was joking . We did not expect this from the Marriot! We still have years ahead of us for traveling and staying in hotels Marriott/Bonvoy has been removed from our places to stay!

Nearby activities: Nearby dinner and movie theater. Austins 6th Street is a $30 Uber ride away. Safety: Nice quiet neighborhood. I noticed police patrols whenever I went out. Walkability: I like to walk. I was able to walk to old downtown in about 45 minutes. Closer are lots of restaurants, Target, Walmart, and gas stations. Food and drinks: Lots of restaurants and family bars nearby.

Instead of answering my question, she simply copy pasted which she had written previously and highlighted it, which I found to be a bit short and condescending. I dont anticipate anyone needing to be overly nice, but that was an incredibly frustrating response. I dont really see myself putting them at the top of my list for any future groups I need to book.

Concerning Security Incident During Check-out. I recently stayed at Austin Marriott North, and while the facilities met my expectations, I encountered a serious issue with security during my checkout. As I was finalizing my departure, my bag, which was placed in front of the desk, was stolen by another hotel guest. Unfortunately, the staff member present at the time was not helpful and did not provide any assistance or information regarding the theft. I was able to identify the individual as wearing a blue shirt, but without support from the hotel staff, the situation remained unresolved. This incident has significantly impacted my view of the hotel, particularly regarding guest safety and staff responsiveness. I hope this review serves as a call to action for the hotel management to improve their security measures and staff training to ensure such an unfortunate event does not happen to future guests.

Welcome, to one of the of the most conservative hotels you can stay in here @Austin North Marriott. I have stayed at all brands of Marriott. This one stood out mostly in regards to the hospitality and service, and for business needs. I rented a suite as I always do and the suit -shower deserves a Oscar Award. Air conditioning was great on 67 degrees , the parking was great I felt very secure with security. This time they had a boutique setup with a fashion designer, so to whom it may concern I can tell you that you will be comfortable. I wanna say thank for the stay I will be going to a sister property tomorrow which is the Otis Downtown but I have elders here in round rock and the @ Marriott North is always my choice and cant be compared. The staff goes above and beyond. This is certainly for the review readers like myself. Have a great day and take care. Respectfully, Mr.Smith

I have been a Marriott fan for many many years. And have stayed in their properties more times than I can count, so my review is based on an extensive experience with all levels of Marriott brands. This particular hotel is in an excellent location for a traveler looking for better accommodations than a Motel 6 or Holiday Inn. The location is clean and well-maintained. However, I was unimpressed with the staff on a number of levels-- I was disappointed at checkin, during my stay, and at check out. In fact, I was so disappointed by the amenities and service that I cut my trip short. This was literally the only time I ever did this, in fact i usually extend my stays at other properties. The onsite restaurant was expensive and attempted to serve gourmet level meals but IMHO the quality of the meals missed the mark -- normally I absolutely love Marriott room service but not at this location. Sadly, I think travelers would be better off with a delivery service rather than room service. Similarly, the food and beverages offered in the concierge lounge were sadly lacking in both quality and variety. And in this location the lounge did not offer adult beverages so, again, one of the reasons I stay on the lounge floor was simply way below expectations. Perhaps todays younger travelers simply dont expect much if anything beyond trail mix and crackers and cheese but from my experience I kept asking whats the point of a lounge if it doesnt pamper the traveler a bit. The rooms were similarly lacking the real Marriott experience that I have come to love and expect. Yes, the beds are still wonderful but the rest of the rooms are a bit unwieldy and lacking. In my room, the AC was not functioning well -- the vent appeared to be partially blocked so was warmer than it should have been for a property in Southeast Texas. The bathroom was cramped. There was no microwave in the room. The coffee / tea service was tucked into a dark and cramped space, making it almost unusable. Exceedingly small closets, no luggage cart, no bureau or chest of drawers, no nightstand -- and the plastic cups offered for beverages were such poor quality that they kept springing a leak and flooding the small tables by the bed. The same thing happened with the ice bucket -- as the ice melted in the bucket an unnoticed crack allowed the water to leak all over my phone, cords, shoes and book. The tv was a nice size but for some reason only allowed access to Marriott tv, Netflix and YouTube rather than allowing access to the wider set of apps that normally are embedded in the particular brand of tv the hotel puts in t the rooms. I could go on but I think the reader gets the gist. So in my opinion travelers are better served by staying at other properties in area and give this specific location a pass.

They said they can move us to another room. But I asked if I could leave my thinks behind as with kids it wasn t very convenient to move after mid night. She said she has to stick to the policy. I requested that she understand the situation and that they should not have allocated a room with a broken ac in the first place but she was rude and did not seem to understand my situation. When the people working your desk have no clue what they are doing, nothing else even matters. Samantha had no business being at the desk. Whomever trained Samantha needs a review and Samantha needs to reevaluate how she interacts with customers, especially Ambassadors. I came to check in, Ambassador status, and used a friends and family discount. Samantha asked if I had my form, which I did. I asked for the email I could send it to, and she said she didn t have one. I asked for a business email, she said no. I saw about 10 business cards on the desk, all with email addresses and she said I couldn t send it to any of them. She DEMANDED I get out of line, go to the business center and print out the email. Then she just stood there. She refused to check me in, like she was making some kind of stand. Somehow she didn t realize how idiotic it is to ask a person who s spent so much money and so many days at these properties to get out of line to go print a piece of paper. She looked so smug and defiant, and that attitude absolutely set me off. She looked right past me. I had spent the better part of the day, over 12 hours moving out of my house just up the street and just wanted to sleep. This clueless, insensitive, incompetent woman just stood there feeling powerful, delaying my check in, and completely ignoring the fact that maybe, just maybe after over $30,000 spent and 150 nights in a Marriott that I might have my affairs in order. She treated me like I wasn t trusted and was a person she could just dismiss. She did this 100% because she didn t respect me, and for that reason she should NEVER work at any desk in customer service ever again. At best she should be cleaning toilets. I can t even give a review of the hotel because the service absolutely ruined the experience. Is this how you treat Ambassador ?!?! Seems like a place to avoid. Trust me if you see Samantha at the desk just walk out. She ll be the person staring off into space with nothing behind her eyes and a sense of entitlement on her face. Absolutely disgusting behavior, and this establishment should be embarrassed and ashamed to put this excuse for an employee right up front without guidance. She was WAY too comfortable being a complete hag. Eddie came after the fact to verify that she could have easily just gotten this form via email and just wanted to be difficult. She also didn t even consider calling him to verify this before kicking me out of line. I can t say for sure that this was race related, but it seems a bit suspicious and the level of disrespect that she showed me by herself vs the level of respect she showed after seeing Eddie was astounding. Also at as if she thought she could get away with talking down to me when we were alone. Well, SAMANTHA, I hope your management, ownership, and coworkers all see this , and judge you accordingly. Never talk down to customers. And the next time I or anyone else stand across from you address us as Mr/Ms and then our LAST NAME. Learn some customer service and respect.

Human hair all over sink, shower, and toilet along with debris and dirt on all surfaces. Requested a new room and hotel got us into a new room. Unfortunately this room was equally nasty. At this point we were late for dinner with family so left. Got back late so decided to stay and deal with it Saturday. We went to check out and had prepaid entire weekend so let them know we could not stay. I requested refund for second night, but corporate pushed me off to hotel manager Kristian. I m giving them a one because even though their staff seems friendly enough, it seems like they don t know what they are doing with your money or cards. My boyfriend and I stayed there in September. The goal was that i show up earlier than him, he shows up later in the week and both rooms would be charged on HIS card. My stay was from 10th-17th, his was 14th-17th. My boyfriend had clearly stated this to them that his card would be charged for both rooms when he made the reservation and then he repeated the same thing when he arrived giving his card .and then he said the same thing when were leaving. Since I showed up early, they needed a card on file until my boyfriend was able to produce his card physically. When I arrived, they reassured me that my card WOULD NOT be charged, it s only a placement card. But that s not what happened. After our stay, the next day on the 18th, i see that i am charged 634.66. I let my boyfriend know and he checks his account and sure enough he wasn t charged the full amount. The full amount was meant to be charged for both rooms and the amount of the stay was 1764.87. He was charged 1,130.21 and I the 634.66. So basically, they charged his card for my room and charged me for his room Not at all what we asked for. Is it part of their tradition to ignore their clients wishes and do whatever they want with the clients cards? Seems like it. Anyway, I called the Marriot hotel and told them that my boyfriend was supposed to be charged and not me. The lady i spoke to said that she didn t know what I was talking about and that only his card got charged and that I should call my bank. And that s exactly what I did. I filed a claim against them saying that I wasn t meant to be charged. A couple of weeks go by and I get a claim letter from my bank saying that everything went well and that the money is being given back to me from the Marriot hotel. This is great! Now I can put this all behind me ..Wrong! Some more time goes by and then i get another letter saying the Marriot hotel is taking back the money because service was rendered there for they are taking the money back .? I called my boyfriend and asked him to check his bank statement to see if the Marriot charged his card for my room like they were supposed to. He looks and sees that along with the 1,130.21, he eventually did get charged the 634.66 on his card but then later Marriot gave him back the 634.66 and than charged my card that amount again..?!?!?! In the end, my boyfriend gave me the money and now we are going to try and put this behind us. We make regular visits to Austin. No longer will we be staying with Marriot while at Austin or any affiliated hotels no matter what city we end up in. No thank you.

The Austin Marriott north wanted to charge us $10,000 a day to park on their property. YES, $10,000 a day!!! Just to park!!! And they would not negotiate. We refused this and moved on to another hotel in the area. Makes you wounder whose trying to make a Christmas bonus at this hotel. Hotel /Building its kept on a excellent condition , rooms are clean and Check In staff (early afternoon shift )are very nice and customer oriented , rooms are nice and clean . Few negative points Our AC/Heater unit on room 318 heater didnt work at night call reception they said wait 2 minutes to work never did .I call back and they were no help at all .Next day when the weather change we try to turn the AC and didnt work either employeess offer no help ..The previous day we found hair on the towels (black long long hair ) for sure is not mine.IBut Im Im assuming it was the housekeeper and they were nice enough to bring me a new set right away. Also all the guest including my self were complaining. About how cold the pool was i requested to the person who brought towels to turn heater and she said it will take 3 days to heat the pool (not true) also another customer stated on the pool area they lied at the reception saying the pool was kept heated all the time which is not true I wish the Hotel will take this is consideration specially on the weekends /holidays for guest ..Last comment is also that I wishstarbucks was open until the afternoon and restaurant inside will offer food till at least midnight on the weekends . Rooms: Nice and clean The biggest TV I ever see in a Hotel Nearby activities: A lot of restaurant near by . Safety: Very safe area in Austin Food and drinks: Menu available until 10 pm or 10:30 pm on the weekends .

Just wanted to drop in and remind folks how awful this hotel is. I stayed in Marriott properties for 3500 night since 2002 and a week here last February put a stop to me staying with Marriott forever. Horrible service and the general manager is arrogant and unresponsive. My problems were never addressed to my satisfaction and despite emailing the general manager and calling him I never got a call back. I was an Ambassador at the time all my issues were handled by the corporate office. The hotel management has no idea how to handle anything. Don t stay here if you re a high profile Marriott member because if you have an issue it will ruin you long time Marriott experience. . I ve stayed with Hilton ever since. And no problems Marriott has lost around 20k just from me but they don t care fire that general manager and I ll come back!!! Also they deleted my posts from other sites.

The room was nice and clean, which is why I gave 4 stars...the reason I took one star off is the included breakfast bar was DISGUSTING....watery, old scrambled eggs...the tray of danish had bugs on it and on the danish...I told the attendant and basically got a shoulder shrug. They had no sugar free syrup, so French toast wasnt an option for me, I dont do regular syrup. I would stay there again but breakfast elsewhere.

You couldn t pay me to stay at this hotel again. I won t mention everything but my complaints range from a disgusting stain on the sheets which made it very obvious the bedding hadn t been changed to a guest playing a recorder or some incredibly annoying instrument from 9 am till as late as 10 pm. Don t stay here if you want a quality, relaxing stay.

Nice, inexpensive hotel conveniently located to both I35 and TX 45 Tollroad. Room was clean, the king bed was comfortable and the floors were quiet during my stay. They have a nice bar with very friendly staff if you are looking for an adult drink during your stay. My only complaint is there was no AC option to keep the fan ON all night which caused me to wake up quite often when the fan turned off during my first nights stay. I ended up buying a fan and that solved the problem for the remainder of my stay.

Rooms were clean and functional. Service was friendly. I requested grapefruit juice and this hotel did not have it, nor did they make any effort to get any. I stayed 3 days. Never had an issue with a Marriott branded hotel serving grapefruit juice. Other locations have run out but next day they remembered my request and provided grapefruit juice. Hence the low rating on service.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The service was great. The room attendants were very respectful and attentive to us the whole time we were there. Most only spoke Spanish, and it was a little difficult to talk with them at times. The beds were a bit harder than we liked. There were a couple of mishaps with the pool that required it to close a couple of times. However, it was a pleasant stay. Would stay there again. Rooms: The rooms are very nice but the beds were a little hard. There is a small refrigerator in the rooms, but no microwave. Nearby activities: This hotel is in a good location. Lots of good restaurants nearby and good ahopping. Food and drinks: The RC grill was great to have on sight for the days that you didnt want to venture out for dinner.

Hotel is beautiful and appearance is great. As with most things these days Staff is a problem. Starbucks was extremely slow, got cut in front of in line which was fine then dragged out a multiple order item to the poor solo single guy serving us. I couldnt wait, left came back in an hour, it WAS CLOSED UP! On a Saturday at 1230? Then wanted at grab some cold snack items from Starbucks cooler but the poor lady at check in was busy??? Beds not extremely comfortable. Directional signs lacking and dangerous imo. Especially for elderly and handicapped. Just disappointed. Update after owner reply: Just really want to Thank You for accepting and addressing my issues and adding an additional star to my initial review. I appreciate your time and response, Thats all I can ask for. I realize things are tuff all over. I have not stayed at the Austin Marriott North yet but I had the experience of being served by the wonderful team from afar. My fiancé was a guest at the Austin Marriott North for business and was there during his birthday. To celebrate him from afar, I contacted the hotel to see how I could have arranged a piece of cake to be sent up to his room on his birthday. The hotel manager Mourad and the restaurant manager Anny both went above and beyond in making this possible. They both made sure I was kept up to date on what was being done and were equally as excited to surprise my fiancé on my behalf. I can only image how well they treat their guests after receiving this level of service over the phone with them. Thank you again Mourad and Anny!

Certainly not the best, nor the worst, but definitely okay Ive stayed at many of the local hotels within the Round Rock/Austin area, and most of them were good-great in terms of overall quality and service. This hotel is no exception. I ended up staying here for 4 days with my wife and absolutely enjoyed our little vacation. The hotel itself certainly made us feel comfortable in a home away from home style room. The many amenities and features of the room and hotel itself were a nice touch. The only gripe I have during my entire stay was when we first arrived and attempted to check in. After 13+ hours on the road, Im sure anyone would have looked rough around the edges, but to the employee who checked us it, that didnt matter. The attitude and looks he gave both my wife and myself were unnecessary and uncalled for. To him, it seemed as though we didnt belong at a Austin Marriot North or theres no way these two could afford to stay here. As you might guess, this is was not the warm and welcoming service we expecting to receive. In conclusion, the overall stay was okay and satisfied our current needs. If I had to recommend a hotel within the same area to any future travelers, I would highly recommend the Home2 Suites or Hyatt (which are essentially down the street from this hotel). Rooms: One of the largest TVs Ive ever seen in a budget hotel. Over 52

This stay was nearly perfect for the price-point. The comfort of the bedding, mattress and air con make this a five star for us. Despite the age of the building, we felt the rooms were nicely kept. The shower is perfect and the bath products are top-notch. We had trouble keeping out the sun but that often happens with draperies. TV worked well, coffee in room. Parking was not too bad on a busy weekend especially after discovering side entrances. Breakfast was delicious but on a busy morning the service model just needs more staff members. If youre in a hurry, you might grab something to go instead. We will make this our new stay in Austin! The location is close to many things we never felt truly far. You save a ton not having to pay for valet parking at a property downtown.

Pay more, get less. Truth is, I used my points and was upgraded to an Executive King room. I presume that the Marriott is the crown jewel of the Marriott group of hotels. No complaints about the room. One item, the sliding glass door on the bathroom does not offer privacy. They did give us a goody bag with chips, crackers and a water. Unfortunately, the Marriott line appears to be using the airline mentality. Bring you in with a descent price and nickel and dime you. Breakfast. Please visit the restaurant. $17 per person plus gratuity. Residence Inn by Marroitt does a continental breakfast for free. This was not that much better. Cup of coffee, Please visit the restaurant. $3.19 plus gratuity. Residence Inn, free all day, serve yourself. Again, personal opinion, not better coffee. There is a Starbucks on site. Why? Closed on Mondays by the way. If you are ever in Chapel Hill NC try the Residence Inn for a comparison. 101 Erwin Road...

This location specifically has RUINED any future stay or business for Marriott from me. I am here on business and of course, my company paid for the time I and a coworker would be here while on business (a week). During check-in, the rude, dude in the front who I found out was the manager, tried to charge me over $1000 in charges to check-in. I stated that the company sent over the pre-authorization form and everything for the room to be covered. He had me resend the pre-authorization form and everything. After having me resend it, he stated he was scared to open it because he didnt want to get a virus on his computer. Mind you, every document that I had to give to this hotel came through a secure portal that required a special log ins, etc. He then stated he could call the Head of accounting and once calling her, proceeded to laugh in my face stating that what I had sent him could cause a virus on his computer which I took as him insinuating that I was trying to scam him. First off, there were WAY nicer hotels nearby that had so many more advantages and amenities to utilize for our stay. This location was just closer to the center we would be assisting. He then proceeded to call me incompetent to my coworker and her parents because I didnt understand what he was trying to say. We then asked him if we could just fax the documents over to him only for him to say he will not accept them. We spent over 30 minutes at this location, with his disgusting and degrading attitude only for him to not accept the document needed to check-in. The company and I have decided to take action against this location and him PERSONALLY as his service today was unprofessional. We were discriminated against as we are African American and we both feel embarrassed and upset to be treated with such disrespect after coming to stay at this establishment. Ultimately, we are now staying in a newer built hotel, with super amazing and helpful staff and a more updated room choice. If you have another option, please DO NOT stay at Marriott, SPECIFICALLY at this location. I believe the managers first name was Moudad or something similar to this.

Overall our experience was okay. My wife, two kids and I stayed two nights. Pros: 1) The service was good and responsive 2) The restaurant food was good 3) Pricing was competitive 4) The lobby has been updated and looks nice Cons: 1) The rooms did not live up to the Marriott standard I have come to expect. They are outdated 2) The bathroom had no privacy. They had installed a sliding glass door to the bathroom which was a terrible idea. There was a 1-2 gap on each side, providing no privacy of traveling with others. You can also still see through the glass 3) The bathroom sink filled up with water instantly as it was clogged 4) Restaurant service was extremely slow. Others didn t wait it out like us and would just leave. They were under staffed. 5) Night one of the pool- it was cold and not heated 6) Night two of the pool- it was closed Overall it wasn t the worse hotel I ve been to but I won t be returning.

Hotel seemed nice in pictures but upon arrival a few things resonated. The lobby is nice, probably the nicest part. Sadly I had to cut the stay here short and move to another marriott hotel the next day. The rest of the hotel honestly... seemed very dated. Upstairs hallways had a musky smell. Room was okay but no microwave, had to use the only one in the lobby and then take food upstairs. The bathroom barn doors are a nice touch but the glass has a huge gap where any1 can peek in and hear everything. Kids werent 2 happy. Indoor pool was tiny and immediately burned my eyes at first from the chlorine just from walking in the pool room. It had very few visitors so I let the kids enjoy the water a bit. At night I realized this was a pet friendly hotel lol. I dont mind pets at all but the following morning was non-stop barking from the neighbors lonely doggy. Breakfast looked like it had many options but sadly was expensive and unpleasant. We got there 30 min b4 breakfast finished, Restaurant was completely empty. The crew was definitely in a rush to leave because they were clanking and banging, taking all the food away before we could even explore/enjoy the options. Almost 90 bux for loud metal banging and then to be rushed out. When I called to ask buffet prices I was told adults were 20-30$ and kids 10 and under eat free, the hostess seemed nice but... Seems I was misinformed, she charged me full rate for my 2 kids and myself? Said kids age 5 and under eat free?? Super confused but whatever. On the way back up to the room the doggy was nonstop, again. Far away and across the hall but could still hear clearly in the room. Asked the kids if they thought we should leave and they gladly agreed. Front desk understood about the dog and they canceled my 2 other nights so I could rebook at another location. I did not share my breakfast experience with management, probably should have. I booked this hotel forgetting I stayed here a few years prior. Wasnt too memorable. Best thing I could say about my stay is that the elevator is fast. Rooms: No microwaves, bathroom sliding door is frosted glass with a 1 inch gap between wall and door. Not much privacy. Food and drinks: Restaurant looked nice for breakfast but ensure you get there with more than an hour before closing the buffet. Wish I could have enjoyed the spread. They start taking all the food and putting things away loudly, with attitude without caring that customers are still there. Just asking for juice seemed like an inconvenience.
