I like this place, food was good, server was nice, but it was a Tuesday night and after we got our dinner and a drink, the server disappeared. We were sitting at our table, finished eating, drinks were gone and had to go ask for our server so we could get the check. I gave atmosphere one star because this is one of the few restaurants that allows smoking at the bar. My wife and I are just not used to that smell anymore. But if you are a smoker, you would probably like the atmosphere.

We found this place because we had a couple of hours to waste. The waitress/ bartender, Emma, was so friendly and attentive. Marissa s cooking was delicious. If we re ever back this way we will definitely come back.

Great down home gem in the hill country! Stopped in for lunch after hiking at Doeskin ranch with a group of friends. Emma took great care of amour big party and Marissa made some incredible burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. We will be back when were out in the area.

One of my favorite places to go for lunch with the girls, or Happy hour! Shuffleboard, Pool tables, darts, Cornhole. A good menu. Great place to both hang out with friends, or have a drink alone. Love their hot wings, fries green tomatoes, burgers, funnel cake fries, onion rings, fried pickles, pretzels, patty melts, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, and cheese sticks.... Those are the things Ive personally eaten. Everything Ive had is great! And the atmosphere is perfect. Yes its a smoking bar, which I love as a smoker, but its never smokey. My husband wont usually go to a smoking bar, but he loves it too, and smoke has never bothered him, they have a good exhaust system. Cant say enough good things. Highly recommend!!!

I go most Fridays and the staff is great. You never wait too long to get a drink even when its busy. The food is amazing, burgers, fries, fried bologna, appetizers, hot wings. Karaoke and live music happen regularly. Small dance floor and 4 pool tables. There are video poker machine things too. Parking: Plenty of parking even when busy Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly until 8pm Wheelchair accessibility: The bar is accessible and accommodations are made for karaoke.

Hometown is a great small town bar. We love the Friday night karaoke and the Saturday night live Texas Bands. The grill has great food. Nothing I have had was wrong. The mini corn dogs are a must for a first timers. But anything you order is great. I always look forward to being able to head out to Hometown Watering Hole.

We had the best wings that we ve had in a long time. The buffalo sauce on my wings was soooooo good and slightly different than just your buffalo sauce. Talked to the cook Melissa to tell her thank you for such great food. We also had Emma as a bartender. She was extremely attentive and so nice. Will be back for sure

Everyone here is friendly. They have karaoke on Fridays and a live band on Saturdays. Theres a cover charge on Saturday but its nothing compared to the food they serve and the service given when ordering drinks. Lots of parking and you can smoke inside, after a certain time. My kind of place.

I love this place!! Friendly staff, best drinks and the food is amazing. We try to go at least once a week. They always do fun stuff around special occasions. We went during St Pattys day and they hid gold coins around the bar for free drinks. Best drink prices and yummy food around! Hometown Watering Hole & Susan Jones Anderson hold a special place in my heart. After my son & husband s accident, I didn t know how we would pull through. I contacted Susan to ask for help with a fundraiser. She was so excited that I asked for her help. She offered up Hometown for a whole day. It was family friendly. Plenty of parking for everyone! Stopped in after the vet with my hubby and dog. The covered outdoor seating area was perfect. We both had an old fashioned burger and Harley got a hamburger patty served in a dog dish. Kudos for that! Best burger Ive ever had, fast service, cheap, and they had my favorite beer Yuengling! Whenever we are in the area this will be our go to. We were there Thursday night for a birthday party. There was about 20 of us. I asked for the cooks name because the food was cooked awsome and in a timely manner. Marissa is the cooks name. She did great getting everyones food out at the same time. The waitress/ bartender was slammed with customers. Her name is Ashley. She attended to everyones needs like a mom would. She was moving at 100 miles an hour. From extra napkins, extra ketchup, all kinds of mixed drinks, fixed the change machine, every thing you could think of. She got my autistic son the pieces for the shuffle board and was very patient with him She was SUPER friendly and attentive. Thumbs up to both of them. They made our night perfect. We had so much fun. Definitely will be back! Thank you so much to both of them. I never saw a server move so fast, and I used to be a waitress YEARS ago. Really unbelievable!

My husband and I were out for a Sunday drive and happened upon Hometown Watering Hole. We sauntered in and stood there looking like definite first timers. Before we knew it, Emma came around from behind the bar, welcomed us in, and made us feel right at home! Emma took our drink order and got us a couple of menus. I got the buttermilk battered chicken sandwich with the chips and my husband got the patty melt with upgraded onion rings. Everything was delicious! I had the chicken fried steak finger basket tonight and fully expected frozen steak fingers, but I was pleasantly surprised when my food arrived overflowing the basket with hand breaded steak fingers with the most amazing seasoning. We had a networking meeting on Friday at 1:30 and chose to visit local Hometown Watering Hole just down the road from LH to the West, off 29 in Bertram. Even though it was busy they gave us the time to chit-chat and didn t hurry us along. We all had lunch hangry-pains and that made it hard to choose what to order! I will say, they whipped us up some mightee fine sandwiches and burgers! And let me tell you about the crunchy delicious onion rings with a side of bourbon bbq sauce, That s pretty much all I ate if you love fried mushrooms or rings, get over there ASAP! The guys enjoyed a big juicy cheese-burger and a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, and fries. We got to meet the sweetheart of a server named Teri, who s service was top notch and I told her we would tell everyone that she deserves big tips And since the food prices were so reasonable, we were able to accommodate that! They re pretty busy on Friday and Saturday evenings with live music and karaoke, but there s a large parking lot, clean bathrooms and a little side of fun with several pool tables with tournaments and video poker. We didn t enjoy any cocktails (biz meeting ) but there was absolutely a very full offering at the bar! Our new meeting place, we will be back!

The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because they allow smoking inside. Im allergic to cigarette smoke and the busier it got the smokier it became, and the worse my allergies became. This is a good little spot, plenty of room for dancing and music. It has electronic games and Pool tables. The food was great and the bartender was amazing. I will be back. I just wish they made people go outside to smoke because I couldnt stay as long as I wanted too.

When we are looking for a great, friendly atmosphere with GREAT food and cold drinks, this is the first stop on our list! There isn t one thing on their menu that isn t delicious, although my favorite is their kickin bourbon chicken sandwich! The wings are also PHENOMENAL! The atmosphere definitely gives you that hometown feel! The business is very well kept! They also have pool tables, shuffleboard, slot machines (sorry if that s not what it s called), live music every week and corn hole! All this and more is the reason my family and I are return customers!

Thank you Susan for the reply, I wish I had brought the food back but it was late and we were tired and hungry and nobody wanted to drive all the way back to complain, thank you for explaining the wings thats good to know we did just put them in the microwave for a few minutes, but those burgers could have been used for door stops, when were ready we would like to give you another try and leave positive feedback. First time trying this place, Ordered food to go for 4, 2 of us got burgers they were burnt and hard looked like coal, the others got wings and 1 of them had raw chicken inside after biting in, the staff was nice but Never going back.

We enjoyed our lunch here a lot. Service was great and the food was good. Would easily give this 4+ except for the fact that smoking is allowed and the smell of stale cigarettes really hurts the experience.

Called in 15 minutes ahead of time and ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings to go Arrived 15 minutes later and it was ready. BEST burger I ve ever ate! A fantastic experience and a smiling staff awaits you. Thank you Hometown!

This place would get alot more business if people would smoked outside! They dont realize only 19% of the United States smokes cigarettes. So this means there missin out on 80% of there business like they have a porch in front of the establishment. It just so nasty when your clothes and everything you bring inside smells like cigarettes. People would have more get togethers and partys too. If they didnt smoke inside. Ive own a restaurants and different bars for 40 years and they wouldnt have been so successful if I let my customers smoke in ny establishment.

Hometown Watering Hole is really nice place inside, we did not eat the food so I cannot give a review on that portion. The draft selection is Texas basic beers, no ipa, stouts, etc on draft. The problem is they allow smoking inside so we won t be back because the entire place smelled like a cigarette.
