Booked a staycation weekend at Hyatt place Rockwell. Just off highway, so convenient to the Rockwall harbor. The welcome staff, Kevin and a young lady, (sorry didn t get her name) was professional and warm. Kevin was 5Star thoughout each touchpoint. He helped usher in our birthday celebration and the special remembrance on the day of. The bar crew was exceptional. This stay was one that provided feeling of valuable customer. Nice full breakfast daily. The hotel decor is modern and the rooms spacious. An easy bet we ll return because of location, staff and accommodations, not to mention so much nearby to experience. Rooms: Modern spacious rooms with mini refrigerator. Loved the sectional couch Laminate flooring is a plus. Nearby activities: Nearby Lake and the harbor with dining and amazing views. Walkability: Walk ability to nearby dining. Safe location surroundings. Food and drinks: Nice bar and food. Enjoyed the breakfast selection and the hours served. Noteworthy details: Nearby to Lake Rockwall and plenty of entertainment/dining. Beautiful decor hotel and rooms, very clean. Plenty of free parking.

I never feel like I m in a 3 star hotel at Hyatt Place. Their rooms are well appointed and clean. I really enjoyed my stay here. Walkability: It s really not walkable. Had to cut through scrub/vacant land to try to get to the rear of a local taco place for dinner which looked nearby on the map but turned out to be an adventure. Tacos were great though!

Right by the highway. Hard floors very loud and can hear dogs in other rooms barking. Very sweet front desk gal but doesn t take away from busy highway, generic corporate feel, and nothing within walking distance. Probably great place for business travel and nearness to hwy (could walk on it it s so close) If you re looking for somewhere to get away, it s not here.

We reserved and prepaid for a room with 2 beds. When we arrive we were not told this was not an option. The desk attendant checked us in without making us aware there were changes in our room assignments. After entering the room we saw there was as only one bed for the 4 guest. When we asked the desk attendant he very casually said the hotel over booked and there was nothing they could do. When we asked for more towels, he gave us a blanket. The hotel is clean but it is insane to expect a family of 4 to share 1 bed. I am very displeased with the management of this hotel. Seems to give Hyatt a bad name!

We stayed a single night both down and back from south Texas. Nice property, clean rooms, we had a king room with sofa bed and had plenty of space. The second night we had noisy kids above us and it did take two calls to the front desk to get them to quiet down.

We truly enjoyed our stay! My husband and I stayed here for a short get-away and were delighted at the facility and the service. We had the privilege of interacting with Ariyanna and Kevin during our time there and they were wonderful. My husband had stayed here a few days earlier for business and loved the experience so much that we came back here for our weekend. We appreciated the personal service and the smiles of everyone in the whole property. Thank you for a great stay!!

The Hyatt Place offers a very inviting atmosphere, clean comfortable rooms, easy freeway access and exceptional customer service . Unfortunately, this review won t include info about the breakfast because it was missed. Rooms aren t equipped with microwaves. They re located on the 3rd floor and ice machines are located on floors 2 & 4. The mini fridge wasn t cooling but a call to the front desk was all it took for Zak to immediately provide a solution to this minor inconvenience. Zak offered to place perishable items in the employee fridge. He personally picked up the bag of food. The exceptional customer service and care were greatly appreciated. For the coffee drinkers, Hyatt Place doesn t provide guests with an unlimited coffee option. Instead, guests can purchase Starbucks after breakfast ends at 10am. Rooms: The rooms have mini fridges. Microwaves are on the 3rd floor. After the rain, water was noticed on the floor and window sill. Noteworthy details: Zak provided first class customer service Great personality!

SCAM, NEVER STAY HERE. Paid for 2 nights here. We checked out this morning because someone tried to come into our room at 2am last night. They were attempting to open the door for over 20 seconds. Good thing we had both latches on. The property manager is extremely uninviting and unprofessional. She said it was probably someone who had the wrong door. No attempt to understand or sympathize. I will never trust to leave any of our valuables here, who knows who will go in when we arent there. BEST PART THEY REFUSED TO REFUND US THE SECOND NIGHT. When we checked in, I asked for extra lotion and toothpaste and the front desk had asked me to come down to get it. Terrible 0 star service

I have to say that this was a wonderful work trip for me. I had a very unsettling Uber ride to the hotel and it was very late at night, when I was met with kindness, compassion, concern, and reassurance by Josiah at the front. As a woman that travels alone a lot, having that sense and feeling of safety was wonderful. Then, one of my nights during my stay, I had dinner and a few drinks downstairs and even though Kevin was busy, he made time to make sure I was good several times and took time to talk to me. This staff is some of the most friendly and kind hotel staff I have come across and I travel a lot! This place has a great team!

Noteworthy details: Says pet friendly, but 1 particular staff member was definitely not. Screaming and hollering at a trained friendly dog. Seems a bit much. If you can not handle to be subjected to animals. Maybe you should second guess your job choice. Toilets do not flush properly. This was in 2 different rooms. AC was out in 1st room for 4 days before we got moved to New room. No bedding changes or washing. No room cleaning. Never ask if we need clean towels or bedding. Even if I have to change it myself, at least offer clean bedding. This room has been booked for 2 months. What we go 2 months with no clean bedding or towels? Breakfast is nothing I will eat. Not the type of food that is the problem, but the quality. coffee needs to be mixed half coffee half water. It is a bit strong I would think for most people. I do not have a problem cleaning up after myself or animals. But it seems a little far stretched that I need to go buy a mop and vacuume, while staying in a hotel that this should be part of what is paid for. You pay the same amount per night.

Updated: Our doctor confirmed one of our daughters has bed bug bites from our stay. I have notified the hotel and City of Rockwall. I would not recommend this hotel. Location is great. Lots of restaurants and shopping in Rockwall. Checked in on a Friday night. Checked out on Tuesday. The room was never cleaned once. By hotel policies the room should ve been cleaned on Monday. Small swimming pool and no towels were ever available outside in the designated cabinet. We had to drip through the hotel to go ask for towels. I also had to ask for towels and toilet paper for our room Since housekeeping never showed. We were woken up by the stomping of the people above us for two nights. The design on the bathroom door was horrible. It was a sliding door with frosted glass. If someone got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, it lit up most of the room and woke everyone up. I had to go buy a nightlight for the bathroom while we were there. Elevators both had some funky smell. The front lobby staff was nice and courteous and apologetic. The continental breakfast was lacking. They even ran out of milk the last day we were there.

The walls are paper thin and I got woken up multiple times by people partying in the room next door. When I spoke to the manager to move rooms, she said all the rooms are like this and guests complain about noise a lot. Both the computers were broken and unusable while I was there, and the one laundry machine was also down with no estimate on when it would be fixed (it wasn t fixed in the 5 days I was there). My room also wasn t serviced except for the first morning.

My daughter was sent to Rockwall for work for 18 days. She was there for 10 days, and the room never got cleaned. One day she asked for the room to get done. She got back to room after work. They had taken the towels, didnt leave towels, so she had nothing to dry herself with after showering, didnt take the trash out, and ran out of toilet paper. For Hyatt, it is NOT THE BEST. I do not recommend. AC turns off at night which is the worst thing in Texan HEAT. Rooms: Tiny rooms, with no service even after asking. AC turn off at night. Not great for Texas heat. NO Microwave in rooms. Very disappointing!

My first stay at this place in 2021 with my cat was great, my recent second stay was also great until they added $100 fine to my credit card charge, claiming it was because I brought my cat. See attached photo of the policy listed on hotels dot com that clearly states they allow cats and dogs. Also would like to mention that I had my cat with me at check in. The guy who had me sign pet policy never said cats aren t allowed. I signed the pet policy which also never mentions that they accept dogs only. What made a bad situation worse was the person I spoke to when I questioned the charge on my card insinuated I was trying to pull one over on them. They seemed to suddenly make up a new policy, tried to charge me extra for it, and then treated me like a criminal when everything THEY did was beyond wrong. They begrudgingly refunded me in the end but the experience was awful. Won t stay here again.

I love the interior design of this hotel. This particular Hyatt Place stands out from other properties of the same brand because it doesnt have outdated or worn out rooms. Instead, they offer a fresh design with wooden floors and furniture, all of which come together to create a whole new ambience. It really does make me feel like Im in my own comfortable home. However, I wasnt a fan of the bed. Personally, I found it too soft and lacking in support. So you may experience some lower back discomfort or stiffness if you spend a lot of time lying on it.

The place is pretty nice over all, my only real complaint is that the HVAC system is rigged to lie about temperature. The thermostat was set as low as it would go (66), but the room would not cool down below 72 (I have an external air temp sensor i use for work). After my first night of not sleeping because it was so hot (I normally sleep at 68), I got fed up . Well I just happen to know quite a bit about this particular thermostat and it turns out they have a custom software on it that wont allow it to cool below 72 degrees, but it will indicate what ever temp you have it set to. This is a straight lie and should be disclosed before check in that the HVAC system can not cool below 72 degrees. Well, luckily, it was easy enough to reset the thermostat to factory default, after which the thermostat indicates 68 degrees but is much cooler (actually 68 degrees) than it was when set to 66 degrees. Ive seen this before at much much cheaper hotels, but frankly unacceptable for a Hyatt. If theyre that concerned about the electricity bill... heres an idea raise the rates! This was one of the cheapest hotels in the area but still one of the nicest. So essentially, if you sleep cold, look for somewhere else to stay as these rooms wont cool below 72.

Definately NOT 4 star hotel! Rooms: NO FREEZER OR MICROWAVE! like, what hotel doesnt offer at least a microwave in the room?? I always stay at Hyatt when traveling, but this Hyatt Place is a joke. HYATT PLACE in Oak Brook, IL is good. Maybe send mgmt from here for training to IL. Food and drinks: There was supposed to be hot breakfast in the morning. There is a menu outside the food area. Nothing on this menu was available today, Saturday. see pictures. There was syrup but nothing to put syrup on. The apple juice was just willy nilly on the counter, not in the refrigerated part of the counter. The counter was sparce, not much to offer at all. The dude cooking was rude having a problem refilling the peanut butter, sighing, and annoyed he had to refill. Crumbly eggs...idk what those were but NOT cage fresh as advertised...tasted like they were out of a box. Bacon sitting in a pool of grease, toast got stuck in the machine. Dude said that sometimes bread gets stuck, but it got stuck every time someone used it. Very very disappointed. Not up to Hyatt standards at all!! Noteworthy details: Lots of problems checking in and I kept getting told the manager was gone for the wknd and no one could help me until she returned. I feel a manager should have competent coverage if she is going to be gone. Something as simple as sending out an authorization form for a credit card charge shouldnt be limited to just the manager!! Thats an administrative function, not rocket science. This hotel failed in SO many ways.

The hotel really isn t a bad hotel at all. However I did have a issue with lady bugs in my room but that was small compared to the GM Shronda Graves horrible attitude. People please read the reviews on her she is a piece of work. Shronda Graves speak so bad if you complain about anything and yes just as many of the reviews say she does hang up in guest face if you challenge anything, she saying. I hope they move her because the hotel and the front desk staff isn t bad it s the GM Shronda Graves that make this hotel rank low! Im lost for words people on how she handle guest. note: To the owner of this hotel how did you hire someone like Shronda Graves to lead a hotel? I m sorry but Shronda Graves shouldn t be in any type of hospitality or customer service industry; Let alone a General Manager This is a person you guys need to mystery shop she is horrible!!!!!

Easy breezy checking in and out. Breakfast was set up really nicely with a decent amount of options. They re all basic hotel breakfast level in taste, but that was my expectation. I m admittedly east to please if there are bagels, but their little slicer and toaster were really great! One round warmed it up and the next perfectly toasted it I was happy to see there was a nondairy milk option as well. The little cups with salsas and toppings for eggs or potatoes was on a very cold slab, which unfortunately meant half the cup was frozen. However, I think that helps them stay at a safe temp the full serving time and I didn t need much for my personal plate. I thought it was very thoughtful of them to have drink carriers and cups with lids and straws available to make it easier for those on the go. Their tea selection is also very nice & we had a voucher in our room for a discount on a drink at their bar. They also offer a limited menu of barista style coffee drinks at the bar in the morning.

Overall, our stay was great! The room was clean and had space for us to put down our bags out of the way. The staff was kind and helpful. Location was near lots of shopping centers and restaurants, but not right on the main road, so there wasnt traffic noise. Breakfast had a nice variety (eggs, bacon, waffles, bread, yogurt, cereals, oatmeal, fruit, and even multiple kinds of hot tea.) The eggs were kind of weird like most hotel eggs are, but the variety really helped me still get enough food. My one complaint about the room was that the drain was clogged in the shower and it filled up with water quickly while I showered. The surface of the tub/shower was very slick with no anti-slip texture on the floor. Nearby activities: Shopping, restaurants, Cinemark, the Harbor

After spending $241 for a king Deluxe room I was disappointed to find the rooms were very small and the bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows were like sleeping with flat rocks. They make a claim of sound proof rooms but our room was right next to the exit and from 5 oclock in the morning on all you heard was people leaving the hotel. I would never recommend this place to anybody Rooms: Very small compared to other hotels Ive stayed in

Forget professional customer service. Unfortunately Or maybe fortunately but we did not get to stay here. July 2022 I spoke to Stephanie in group sales to block 10 plus rooms. She confirmed they were blocked but due to software issue could not get a code. Spoke to her on several more occasions still no code. Jump forward 4 weeks before event still unable to book rooms. The GM Sondra Graves did not return calls. I called Hyatt corporate, Patty was very nice and took my complaint. Unfortunately Hyatt did not care enough to return my calls and now my family of up to 30 is looking for a new hotel with < 4 weeks to event.

This Hyatt place in Rockwall Texas has some of the most nicest staff Ive ever met in my life. Erica and DeKentis are both amazing people that handle themselves with respect and others with respect. These two are the most that Ive been around and they both have made me feel like Im coming Home by greeting me like a lost family member. Anytime I had an issue it was handled immediately, and it was taken care of right. These two are an asset to the company who can handle customers with respect and toughness thats needed sometimes. Especially on the night that the lights were off for a few hours to an accident on i-30 that night. DeKentis was in front and he just did an amazing job taking care of guests, making sure that they had stuff to drink, use a restroom, and that reservations would be honored. The rooms are beautiful, the staff do a really good job and are so nice. Great job guys!!!!

The hotel is beautiful super clean and smells brand new with a nice clean quiet pool . The only complaint I had is with the front desk staff with no personality. The only person that was absolutely amazing was the young gentleman thst worked until 11 pm he was always hi how are you carried conversations and was so caring and just a absolute delight. The woman that checked us in looked like she hated her job. Would I stay here again probably.

OK this is a nice hotel but my only complaint is my second night there, there was a car accident down the road witch knocked out the power to hotel. Only way I knew about accident was having to walk down four floors to lobby but they really had no idea what happened. Plus back up generator wouldnt come on so no electricity at all in hotel. Had to leave at 12 am to go home 150 miles away. An we didnt get reimbursed for the night. I understand the power loss wasnt there fault but we should of gotten some type of compensation.

The hotel is nice, breakfast is pretty much the same thing of eggs and sausage almost every morning. But it is included. The lobby is nice and spacious, with plenty of people willing to assist you. The location is great, but the rooms do not have any cooking place in them. Its the only extended stay I have seen where there is no place to cook. They have 1 microwave for the entire hotel in the only laundromat as well. The fridge is super small and is just a fridge no freezer. The service is great, but the rooms lack of food preparation dont make it quite as nice. Edit They say one is the loneliest number, but this place has also taught me it is the worst as well. One washer, one dryer, one microwave, one elevator for ONE ENTIRE hotel. As my buddy I lived here with quite often says. What a joke. If you plan on staying here longer than a day probably find somewhere else to stay. The staff are very nice though.

The rooms were nice and clean, great location, friendly check in staff!!! However, we made our reservations on line. We checked in and received one room key 103 (nothing was said at the time of checkin that we had 2 rooms reserved using the same card and same Hyatt number) We also received one bill at checkout. Reviewed our American Express bill and noticed we had two room charges. I called to speak to the GM and she informed me that we reserved two rooms. I explained to her that we only used one room and when we Checked in we received one key and nothing was said about another room being reserved under our name and card. It must have been a glitch when we reserved the room. The GM then informed me she would talk to her housekeeping staff and if Room 114 was clean we would get our money back. I told her It wasn t my responsibility if Room 114 was clean that we didn t use the room or even have a key to get in the room. I then noticed there was another 24.00 charge on my American Express. I told the GM I would be calling Corporate to try and get the charges cleared up. Her response was to go right ahead and she hung up. She clearly needs more training in Customer Service. I called Corporate and now have a dispute claim with American Express. We have been a Hyatt member for years and have ever had issues until now.

First, when I asked about an additional charge per night on the room, I was told that it was for incidentals in case of something getting broken or damaged. That wasnt what bothered me. What set me off was when the front desk clerk made an inappropriate joke about my wife and I possibly breaking the headboard. Thats not how you talk to people coming to stay at your hotel. Next, why would you have a full bar in the lounge if you dont have anyone who knows how to make a drink. My wife and I not only had to tell the person claiming to be a bartender how to make the drinks but we had to tell them which alcohol was which. Lastly, several of the breakfast items were frozen including the fruit bowls, milk, salsa etc. We couldnt even enjoy the meal. We had to leave and go to a restaurant instead. I was not pleased with our stay or how the staff acted.

Hyatt Park in Rockwall, Texas 1600 La Jolla Dr., Rockwall, TX 75087 This is a super hotel. I stayed there two nights and loved the bright lighting throughout the room and particularly in the bathroom where there was a make-up mirror with under lighting. The bathroom was supplied with large towels and had instant hot water in the shower which had a safety rail and an easy-to-operate-one-handle faucet. The room had a full-length mirror, comfortable chair, L-shaped couch, good refrigerator, big-screen TV, and a nice closet with lots of hangers, a safe, an iron, and extra bedding. The bed was comfortable with numerous huge/soft pillows and a beautiful white comforter; and the double-curtains made it possible to keep out the sunlight when needed. The heat and air conditioning were easily adjustable and worked efficiently. The entrance, lobby, lounging areas, TV s, cafeteria tables/chairs, and food choices were more than adequate with a market to purchase salads, sandwiches, candies, and drinks 24/7. I enjoyed two full breakfasts while there eggs, ham, bacon, potatoes, cereals, fruits, juices, waffles, bagels, and a choice of delicious varieties of coffee. The amenities included good parking, luggage carts, workout room, swimming pool, conference rooms, and washer/dryer/microwaves on various floors. Most importantly, each and every staff member was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help me when I accidentally misplaced my iPhone. Nothing makes travelers feel any better than to know that they are surrounded with staffers who care about them as individuals. I am grateful to be able to recommend Hyatt Place Rockwall, Texas to any and all.

If I could give no stars I would. Worst hotel stay Ive had in years. Night manager didnt follow up on complaints. The 4th floor was so full of pot smoke that we had to put a towel under the door. Adults running up and down the hall, slamming doors, throwing furniture, yelling ALL NIGHT!! Literally threw away 300 dollars because no sleep was had. My husband brought it to the attention of the morning staff and was told sorry, theres nothing I can do except charge the other person for smoking. Will NEVER stay here again. The rooms and location were great. Booked my room the day before on my Hyatt App that I use often. It then sent me a notification I had booked 3 rooms. Immediately called Hyatt Rockwell and girl assured me would fix and remove the 2 other rooms which would deduct 3 times the points due to paying points/cash. The next day I checked in and still had 3 rooms booked!!! Again this girl assured me it would immediately be fixed. The next day I checked and yep was still on there. I called the Hyatt Rockwell manager and yep again, assured me it would be fixed and she would call me back. 3 days later and nothing fixed and zero call backs. Have stayed in Hyatts often for so many years but this will end it.

Check in time was 3pm...Room wasnt ready until almost 5pm and the lady at the front desk acted like she couldnt care less... Then when I finally could check in, the credit card reader said approved but her register/PC said declined so she had me do it 4 times over and over. I told her, hey so these arent going through are they? because this reader says approved...She said oh no theyre being declined by your bank. Then on attempt 5, it finally went thru on her end. Well, guess what..ALL 5 CHARGES went thru! So I paid for my room FIVE times coming out to over $800! I showed her my phone and asked her to do something because I cant afford to take that hit and then wait for a week or two to get the money back. She said theres nothing I can do, theyll eventually get dropped from pending status and the money will be returned...then looked past me and asked the next customer in line how she could help them. The incompetent lady charges me 800 bucks for a $157 room and has the audacity to dismiss me like that? Hell no. Dont stay at this dump
