Review for Caitlin Henderson I worked with Caitlin on my divorce in the Rockwall County. She is very professional and always gave me good advice. She guided me and answered all my questions during the divorce process. Caitlin has good command of the law and understands how different Judge s think and make judgement. She advised me on the next steps and predicted the Judge s verdict which did not go wrong. Caitlin is friendly, a good listener and approachable. She made me comfortable enough to share my personal matters with her. I like her honest approach to work, which is unlike other attorneys. She is cunning and smart but will not compromise with her ethics. She often advised me to not to do XYZ because then I will end up paying more money to her. I experienced Caitlin s detailed and process-based approach to work. She asked me a number of questions throughout the case and prepared a ton of questions and Addendums to be presented during the trial. She also sat down with me and prepared me for the trial. Caitlin is to the point and has magnificent work ethics. During my case she lost her father, but she was back within two days attending my court hearing. As hard as things were she eased my stress and did everything she possibly could to make sure i was fairly taken care of. She over explained until i understood everything with all the confusing words and rules of the court system. While divorce is a scary and painful process, the Timpa Law Firm, and especially my attorney Madisen made the experience tolerable. She guided me through the process and alleviated a lot of my fears. Though some may balk at their hourly rate, I feel their billing system is fair and transparent. I never felt as if they were creating work just so they could create billable hours. Unfortunately I know too many people that went the budget route only to receive unintelligible bills full of unknown paralegals and unwanted services. This law firm is a joke! Katherine was our lawyer she sent me many emails to print and sign for her to file in court. UNFORTUNATELY she filed the wrong papers! My ss number was wrong, my last name and she failed to put the geographic restrictions in the paper work! Such a waste of time and money! I had to hire a new lawyer to help me fix all the mistakes she made. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! They will file the wrong papers and avoid you and your calls! If I can add a 6th Star I would...seriously. John Mapel and Timpa Law Office were amazing with my divorce. I first filed and offered to give over half if we worked through it together after a 6-year marriage. But she immediately hired an attorney, so I then called a friend for advice. He said call Timpa and John soon called me back. He talked me through the process and showed me what was really community property. Over the next 60 days his divorce knowledge and efficiency were amazing (Macis too). But what John added was his counseling to keep me centered during the weeks of process and then quiet during that mediation, preventing me from hurting myself financially. In the end he saved me a lot of money. I have great respect for him and his profession of which hes a true master. Call him!

Kim Timpa should ALWAYS be your FIRST call if you need an attorney! Choosing an attorney can be a scary process especially if you ve never needed one. Lawyers speak a language few of us understand. Once you pay them there is little you can do. I went through a few attorneys who took advantage of my situation and then I met Kim Timpa. She was honest from the minute we met and she made my concerns a priority. Kim is a great attorney but an even better person. She is what you think your lawyer should be when you start looking for help. Over time I ve met numerous people who ve used Kim Timpa and we all have the same story She was a great attorney, we all were successful in our outcome and she never took advantage of us as clients. I wish I could better explain how vulnerable you are to the legal system and how few lawyers will really stand by you through the process. Kim Tampa is an amazing attorney she advised me well and I didnt get to use her but after almost a year I court after meeting with her she was the greatest experience I have had with great knowledge and she knows what she is doing. She gave me advice not even some of the good attorneys ever told me. I had to pay consultation but it was worth it and we could brain storm and find the best solution going forward and even offered to speak with my new attorney to offer direction. She made it aware my case needed time and another county over and she was upfront that this would cost a lot to go back and forth and it wouldnt be wise to spend this much and she offered advice in my county and what attorneys to reach out to and what steps needed to happen next. She is by far the best I have seen or met with. I highly advise using her in the most difficult cases. She is brilliant and knows law I can tell down to the T and a great coach. I hear she scares all the attorneys and now I know why. But she is so sweet. Very humble and direct but I her ability to figure stuff out in detail and what to do pretty quickly is very powerful. I dont see many matches for her when it comes to lawyers. if you have a difficult case you need the best and she is the best and she saved me from wasting money by giving me solid advice. Kim Timpa and her staff are very professional and fast acting. Kim set a timeline and a process from our first meeting and it was followed. My wife filed for divorce and her attorney was very slow in reacting to keep the process moving forward. Kim helped me to get divorced as quickly as possible. The other party was delaying and in order to kick them into gear we had to file for disclosure which in the end we did not need or complete. This got the negotiations back and forth and I seemed to get what I wanted and what was fair to both parties. It cost a little extra for no more than what was needed but in the end i got out and have moved on.

I went through an unexpected divorce. When I tried to hire an attorney to represent me, I soon learned that my ex-husband had paid consultation fees to various, reputable attorneys in the north east Texas area which conflicted them out of representing me. I drove all the way to Rockwall (I live about an hour away but grew up in Rockwall) when someone recommended Kim to me. I had previously had a terrible attorney represent me during the temporary child custody hearing and had a bad experience. That guy didnt know anything about my case and essentially just showed up in court and rambled until the judge asked him to stop talking. Despite all of these circumstances, Kim was eager and willing to take me on as a client. She took the time to sit and hear me out- everything I had to say, all my concerns and all the newly formed hopes and aspirations I had for my child going forward with divorced parents. She worked around the clock, diligently and turned my case around. She is very resourceful and was able to call in child custody experts and psychologists who quickly saw through all the tactics my ex husband and his attorney were using to make me out to be an unfit mother. Things looked hopeless to me, but she continued to sort through it all and rise above the very difficult circumstances. I was amazed at how well Kim navigated the waters through what was a very, very difficult process for me. Now 3 years later, I can still call her when things come up regarding my ex husband and I co-parenting and she is quick to offer sound advice. Most impressively, she was able to turn my case around by consistently taking the high road, and doing the right thing. Every time. Despite her being met by an attorney and my ex husband who were very slick and deceitful- she represented myself and my son with class, and I think that goes a long way. It is easy in child custody cases to get caught up in lies and stories. But Kim stuck to the facts and kept us focused on what was best for my son. Which is all that REALLY matters in a child custody case. I look back on that difficult time in my life and am not sure that I could have come out as well I did with any attorney but Kim Timpa. I cant recommend her experience, expertise and professionalism enough to you if you find yourself in a difficult divorce/child-custody case needing reliable, superior representation.

Katherine and Heather were excellent about helping me through this in a very tough time for me. This process can be an emotional roller coaster. It will pass. It does take time. I too at times was getting impatient and wanted it over but it does not work exactly like this. Some things are out of the firms hands. Court dates, dealing with opposing counsel especially when the opposing counsel client is not wanting to compromise. Compromise does help. Still painful but helps get closer to getting the whole process over. Timpa did their best to accommodate me through my own personal challenges. That meant a lot. All cases are different and the more at stake the more complicated it can be. Have to weigh options out and try and work with the other party. My experience with the law firm and the individuals I dealt with they all worked as a team most importantly during the whole process and were very professional. I wanted to give a very special thanks to the team at the office for they really do try and make sure you get taken care of. Katherine and Heather and Kim all very helpful. It was tough but it is now over with and about as best as could be expected. No matter how this came out I dont speak for others behalf but I want my Ex to be to be able to go on with her life and hopefully have a Great life without me and wish her the best even though it did not work out for us. I spent many years with her and if I am not the one for whatever reason I want her to have a good life and wish her only the best. Did not want this to turn out this way. No reason to hold on to the bitterness. We have to remember that at one time we cared about that person and people must go on and not be bitter. It is hard enough as it is. Lawyers have a job to do too and divorce is not something anyone wants. Be patient and you will get through this. That is easier said than done. What is important is that you work with the Lawyers to help your case instead of depending solely on them. You know more than they do about your own situation. The more you share with them the easier it is for them to cut down on the time it takes to come to a conclusion to present your case. There is no magic wand to make a divorce come out perfect. There are most the time losers in both sides in one way or the other. Katherine did a Great job and Heather did as well and as well there both following up. This is very important. What I wanted to say in regards to Katherine Metcalf, Heather Dickens, Kim Timpa, Tiffany Nord, Julie Timpa Fecht and the rest of staff is that they were very responsive when called upon to my needs as an attorney and staff as a team representing my case they all covered for each other when someone was out of office and they were all there for me when someone was out of office and made sure messages were forwarded and calls back and responds by email were taken care of. I especially want to Thank Katherine Metcalf and Heather Dickens. They were my Rock at a time I was in need. I see people put out negative comments about lawyers which sometimes maybe rightfully deserve but, apparently youve never had a bad divorce attorney. I have before unfortunately. Believe me they are not even close. They dont follow up and your one in a pile and they are as bad as they get. Most the time its negative is they didnt get what they wanted but thats because of the laws are what they are as well as the cost. Nobody wants to spend money. Probably the worst attorney ever. We contacted her after learning our son was being abused by his father. She happily took our $5,000 retainer. After that, it sometimes took weeks for her to respond to repeated emails and phone calls, which she happily charged us each time we tried to contact her. 7 months into our case and she still had done absolutely nothing to help us resolve this matter. After she had taken most of our money, we decided it was time for us to cut our losses and hire a new attorney.
