I was so embarrassed. I brought people in from out of town and we were a multicolored crowd as soon as we walked in the door two people came out with reserves to put these signs on the table so we couldn t sit down. We asked if we could just eat so I guess the sign on the door should say Dominican only cause that s the only way you get any food..

***Update! Came back today and was a little disappointed - mofongo served a little different now, no salad. Not as fresh, not worth the price as much. Lost a star but empanadas still good. This was such a great experience overall. The food was delicious and so much of it. My boyfriend and I had shrimp and cheese empanadas and fried yuca, then cod fish with fried tostones, and plantain filled with carnitas and shrimp, everything was so good. And the place turns into a nightclub if you want to dance to some bachata.

Im sorry to say that this place, which is very nice and cozy, served us a very cold and not very fresh meal, the rice was stuck and the pork was full of fat, they didnt serve me dough but rather fatty skins. It is an area where the Dominican community may not be many, so I think they should worry about providing better quality in the dishes they offer. The waitress was trying to be friendly, but she was very distracted and unfortunately that affects the service.

Incredibly authentic cuisine. I recently went to the Dominican Republic and this place has food that tastes exactly like the food I had there. That doesnt always happen when you try international cuisines around Dallas. The pork shoulder was pretty good. The oxtail was a little harder than I thought it should be because it didnt separate from the bone easily, but the flavor was incredible. Ask for extra napkins because you will need them when you resort to eating them with your hands. Add the sauce from the oxtail to other dishes your table orders because it will create a new experience with that dish as well. It is a little loud in here. Okay, its a lot loud, but dinner is a party in this culture and that is definitely what is going on in this restaurant.

Wow! What a sound system! It was amazing to me the volume they could maintain in the room and still maintain some level of communication. Although I found it extraordinary, it did make it difficult to communicate to other guests. The food was delicious and the hosts were accommodating. Thank you for a very interesting evening. Don t let the outside fool you. The restaurant inside is very clean and beautifully decorated! We are Dominican/Cuban traveling all the way from Austin,TX and the food was so authentic and delicious! The service is 11 out of 10, the girl at the bar is very friendly and patient, she treats her customers very well but the food is not the best, dont go ordering pork rinds because its chewing gum (you ask for salted meat and they dont know what es) They tell you that the picadera includes sausage and they dont put it in but they charge you for it (the food portions are very small but they charge you a lot. Loved this place... beautiful and spacious restaurant. On the pricey side, compared to similar restaurants but flavors and plate sizes justify. Their mofongo with shrimp is amazingly delicious. We visited Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last year and I fell in love with the food. After my return home, I craved more of this amazing food. I did a Google search and found this place. Upon 1st glance when I pulled into the parking lot I thought the place was closed because there were only 2 cars in the lot. Im glad that we took a chance and came in anyway. Boy, was I not disappointed. Many other patrons came in during our stay. The atmosphere took me back to the DR. The music was playing, we were greeted in Español and the FOOD. Yo, the food was amazing. I was so excited when everything came to the table that I forgot to take pictures. My husband and I shared 2 empanandas, beef and chicken as appetizers. We both had passionfruit juice. I had the Sanconcho(Dominican soup) with rice. It is a staple in the DR. My hubby had the red snapper fish with arroz and frioles(rice and beans). We even took empanadas home for later. Everything was amazing. We will definitely be back. Give them a try, they wont disappoint.

I ve wanted to check this place out for so long and the wait was so well worth it. I finally did tonight and the food was delicious. Prices were a bit high but the portion was generous. Server mostly spoke Spanish but was very nice. Bar looks cozy and the ambience was welcoming and bright.
