Friday September 13th my daughter invited me to go FunPlex Houston with my granddaughter. I have not been here in years and I absolutely love it here! There is so much to do like bowling, roller staking, restaurant, inside playground and multiple rides and games so we had a wonderful Friday evening! Its clean inside and staff were very helpful and friendly. I am going back next week to have my sons bday gathering. I highly recommend this location. Birthday celebration for my son on September 21st was very successful! I thank Sylvia the party planner and the 2 young ladies that help with the party.

This place is a scam most of the games are out of service and broken games are attached with the wood frame with the screws. I suggest that parents should drive a little further and enjoy the day with your kids than spending your money for something that is not worth for. I am very disappointed will never come here again. It looks like they are taking advantage of the people who lived by the area.

What a horrible weird experience. Started with the cashier at the rink ignoring us so a man could haggle us telling us to pay him instead of the cashier. Offering us wristbands!? When we asked the cashier what is happening he just looked at us!?!?!! So weird!! Felt like the employee was encouraging the scam. Then he wouldn t speak with us, he continued to tell us a price all though we were asking questions about what we were paying for. Cashier was severally under qualified for his customer service roll. Don t believe them when they say they play popular music, it was a one tone R&B playlist. Not fun. Slow and specific to one genre. Overall would love to give a zero, the toilets were clean which was a surprising plus so I suppose that s worth the one star I m forced to give. Ps their online prices are NOT what you pay

I booked a birthday party yesterday at Fun Plex, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I had high expectations based on the package I chose, but several key aspects were missing or poorly executed. Firstly, the only part of the package that was fulfilled was the game cards. None of the other promised elements were provided. To travel over 2 hours away with 10 kids to come to this place for fun and to experience this unbelievable experience was very frustrating. I kept my cool for those kids but I was highly upset on how everything was handle. Despite clearly communicating my requests and expectations when booking, it seems that these were completely overlooked. This led to a less-than-ideal experience for the birthday person and our guests. For the price paid, I expected much more. I hope Fun Plex takes this feedback seriously to improve their services for future events. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would hesitate to recommend Fun Plex for birthday parties.

The place is a dump. Went on a Sunday afternoon hoping to have some fun with my daughter and it was a complete let down. They had multiple air hockey tables and none of them had pucks. Half of the arcades werent working or didnt function correctly. Its almost like a slum lord bought the place for a tax break. The skating rink is solid concrete. I intended to teach my daughter how to skate and the fact that it was solid concrete frightened her. I dropped way too much money at this place. The only reason we stayed for 2 hours is because I paid for the 2 hour play card l. I literally felt like Id been robbed. Dont let the images fool you. This place is a dump.

I give 3 stars although I visit it many times I rate it bad in terms of food and attention I like to go hang out with the family but it is expensive for the bad service I always go because there are not many options nearby but it is so bad the food and the attention, I dont even say no, fair for the cost, no its not cheap at all and poor quality, you can go to see but for this money, believe me, you can have a better time elsewhere games for children on cards that are consumed very quickly but still you have to try it

I read the reviews before going but I thought Let s give it a shot. Womp womp womp no surprise 1/3 of the games weren t working or missing balls and or pucks. We went and tried the go karts but half way through my daughter s kart died. The guys working the station were accommodating and nice even offered her another turn. Completely different interaction at the snack station, 2 female employees having a whole conversation and knuckles deep in a jar of pickles.No acknowledgement only until one walked off with a mouth full. They were finally done conversing I was able to get a word in and told the young lady my daughter wanted an ice cream and assuming she would trail back to the ice cream area to assist my daughter and she did not. She just stood there looking at us and looked away, I told my husband we will just get her something on the way home. A/C was probably set at 2000 B.C the only air flow was in the roller rink. Which seems to be the only place the kids actually had fun at. So overall spent about $300 on games, rides and snacks and it wasn t worth it. Customer service 6/10 (not pickles and coworker bestie 0/10) Restrooms 7/10 Games 8/10 if they were all working. Roller Rink 9/10 (maybe switching up the R&B playlist to something more appropriate for the kiddos during the day, just a thought.)

I hyped this place up to my 11 year old beacause I loved this place even up until my teen years. Unfortunately once we got to trying to ride the rides or order food, the staff did their best to ignore my child and act as if they could not see her. An employee tried to refuse my child getting on the trampoline due to her age, yet there were no age, weight or height restrictions posted anywhere, so I fought that for her. The go karts were not sufficiently charged and were super slow. Some were even dying on the track, so that was a waste of money. It was a very disappointing experience and it needs new management.

Funplex is not the same anymore. Most of the arcade machines dont work. Majority of the rides are not available. The note says due to maintenance but how can everything be under maintenance at the same time. I suspect the management is having employee problems and they dont care about hiring more or fixing stuff. Save your money go somewhere else.

Paid a lot of money and maybe 1/4 of the place worked. Paid for 10 rides each for my three daughters and there were only 5 rides that worked. We got three hours of arcade time but most of the arcade games were broken or would work for a few seconds and turn off. The place was filthy and workers were rude as hell. We ended up leaving after about 45 minutes, who knows what we wouldve done for the remainder of the time because nothing was worrying. The place is extremely outdated and opinion a complete waste of money. Take your money somewhere else.

I will never return to this place ever again. The playport is mortifying as my son hurt himself because there is not enough balls in any of the ball sections. Literal concrete on the bottom with a thin pad on top. The Ferris wheel is out of commission. Half of the arcade games do not work. Feels like they need more AC units inside, the building is definitely 85°. The hot water in the restrooms does not work. The food is overpriced and not good. You can go anywhere for less money, more AC and better food for the $75 I paid for barely anything to work or even be comfortable.

We stopped here after a Google search, the tiktok videos make this place look amazing, but just from the parking lot we knew this wasnt going to be a good experience, after we went in, the attendant lucky gave us a deal on the rides only, which most of them were broken, the ones that were open had 1 attendant going back and forth between them. We walked around to see what else they offered and we saw many broken down machines and rides. We stayed maybe 30 minutes total. I should have read the reviews but glad we tried it out so we can tell others to dont waste their time and money, and judging by the management answers to other reviews, they been Acknowledged and want to do better but seems what we experienced today is nothing new. Such a shame to find a place like this in Houston that probably will close their doors sooner rather than later. Just save your money and go some other place that you and your kids wont be disappointed.

This place is a joke. My son had been looking forward to coming here for his birthday for weeks and was extremely disappointed when we did. The place was empty, and that should have been the first red flag, but we decided to press on and go inside. Almost all of the arcade machines didnt work, and the VR games were out of service. We decided to go bowling since the arcade was a bust, and it was just as bad. We barely got into our second frame before the balls were getting stuck and wouldnt return. We pressed the service button for assistance and the button for food service because my son was hungry. We waited for 45 mins with no service, so we put our shoes back on to go back to the service counter, and just then, the waiter for the food finally decided to show up. We declined his service and headed to the desk for a refund and received some pushback for wanting our money back. Dont come to the funplex, its not worth your time and money.

People who left low star reviews are absolutely correct. This place is dirty, machines are not well maintained, and unsafe... Most of the rides werent in service, and the front desk receptionist didnt even mention it. The bumper cart stopped working in the middle of playing..the worst is the skating place -the shoes are super dirty, unorganized, and NOT for the beginners. A total dissapointing experience for us. I would say, take a walk around before purchasing the tickets.. we wont be returning for sure and Dont recommend this place for rides or skating (especially if you or your child is a beginner).

We had a great time at the skating rink on Wednesday May 15th. We purchased tickets for skating and the play port. Every single person we came in contact with; the front ticket desk lady, the skating rink clerk guy, the skating rink DJ lady and the play port attendant lady were so very nice. There is so much to do here. Roller skating, bowling, arcade games, bar. The skates are very old and worn down, probably more than half of the arcade games were broken, not working, or would take your credits without it actually working, but the staff was good about reloading what the games took. My friend and I only went to the roller rink here, and it was a lot of fun because we had the rink mostly to ourselves and goofed around. However, the music that was playing in the rink was inappropriate for a family venue. The food wasnt the best either small portions for the price. However, the entire place was very clean and kept at a good temperature ( I take medication that makes me vulnerable to heat stroke, so I have to avoid hot temperatures).

Went for Friday night bowling. The bowling shoes looked new and not raggedy. The wings were really tasty and fried just right. The drinks from the bar were solid and made very well. The bartender was friendly and knew what she was doing. They need to update the patio to the restaurant and get it right because it has the potential to be very pretty. The pool table is small and the pool sticks are not that good. Very light and some broken. The kids section for games is terrible. Most of them don t work. Overall the place needs an entire remodel. The restaurant is nice but not noticeable.

Fun Plex is one of the most slept on attractions. There is skating, bowling, arcade games and much more for the kids. The bar is amazing with tvs everywhere and a big screen thats like the screen in the Toyota Center.

Most rides are broken and employees are rude and started yelling at us for no reason and they scammed us out of the rides we paid 49.99 and most of the rides barely work we had to pay extra for the rides even though it said 5 rides we had to buy extra just to go on 3 rides when we bought the 10 rides would not recommend going

This place needs some TLC. Lots of arcade games arent working. Ferris wheel attendant is very slow and could use some help to expedite the seating. He was working really hard and seem tiered. Not many options to eat. I visited on March 21. This place has seen better days. Card wasnt accumulating points for the ride and arcade combos plane.

Read the reviews before you decide to come here. Spent $370.00 for most of their games and rides to be out of order, which I m sure that s how they re surviving - high prices and no repairs or updates. My 4 year old had a blast the rest of us didn t. This was not my first choice, my family decided to come here. Wish I would ve read the reviews before driving almost an hour to come here. Oh, and we seen a roach in the food court area, so we definitely opted to eat elsewhere. Also, place is very ghetto, I agree with another review the concept is fun, but worth it? Definitely not.

We were there for a community event and they def didnt prepare for the crowds so it was a frustrating long line at the tickets and even after just slow ride attendants and half broken/ closed rides. The costs are also very high for the worn down place I think only thing works out for them is the indoor part, you cant go out all the time in Houston heat and thats why they are still on business

Hello everyone we had a great time. I went to there late bowling at 10pm. I celebrated my son Birthday with family and friends and the music was great. We all had a great vibe. You should go visit Fun Plex bowling because you will have a good time there.

Poor communication, whether through email or phone. They never call you back or email you back. I got a table for my sons birthday, and yes, they do charge you. No incentives! No fridge to put your cake. I have learned the hard way. Ice cream cake is a no-no.

My granddaughter enjoyed her first experience roller skating indoors. We placed are personally items inside of a locker; fee $5.00. They keep the key, the reason why; is unknown to patrons. The worker misplaced the key. We were forced to wait til the key was located. We asked for a refund on the locker for our inconvenience. Ms. Maria Aguilar was the manager on duty. She never apologized to any of the guest for the delay and inconvenience. She was more upset for providing the refund; after we paid $50.00 to skate and $20.00 for refreshments. Good customer service goes a long way and brings repeat customers. I suggest training to all your employees to gain better service and respect for your business.

We went today and it really wasn t as bad as we thought it would be. We wanted something fun and close to the hotel so my son picked this out from a list of choices we had. He loved it. The staff seemed nice and we went on a weekday so there wasn t a crowd. Yes it s outdated in some ways but it still fun and most of the things function. Some arcade games were out, the food court was closed (but the bar area had food it serves), and at times there were rides unattended but not all the time, there was one ride that was broken. It was our first time and we did enjoy it. It would be helpful to know that it can get expensive bc a lot the activities are separate. There s a card for arcade games, a card for go carts, a card for rides, a card (or bracelet) for the play area with the slides/ninja obstacle course/bounce houses. What you can and can t do depends on your child s height. I d say it s fun and worth checking out! My son is 7.

Guess Im disappointed that I spent $25. For my five years old granddaughter to skate, said pass is good for all day. still not impressed. If I wouldnt have gotten here early she wouldnt even have skate bar only has one in the whole rink.

Great place to take your kids in to have fun. They have variety of activities for the kids to explore. If you re on budget, a $10 video game card is more than enough for the kids to play until they are tired and want to go home! Will definitely come back often.

Came to spend time with the kids before Spring Break ends. Purchased the Best pkg they had and let the kids run wild. Was a bit disappointed because there werent very many rides that the toddler/preschool kids could ride. Either they were out of service, they didnt work, or there was still a height requirement. In all they still enjoyed themselves.

Its so sad that such a beautiful place with so much potential is ran so poorly. No employees are to be seen besides the ones at the rides, which is required by law. Every single arcade game is broken, and even if tickets are advertised there is no operating prize area, meaning you are paying over $2 per game with no reward present. The curb appeal is everything here, but dont be convinced, because the inside is nothing but disappointment.
