5 stars not because its a 5 star restaurant but because its exactly what youd think youd get at a Tavern: -Dark -friendly -traditional menu -oustanding burger (had to take 1/2 home) -sweet potato fries were DElish! (Soft n crispy) -Great iced tea We actually had a business meeting but cant wait to go back and take advantage of pool table, live music and back patio

We went out to see Arnie Newman play guitar. Arnie was awesome but no suprise there. Arnie was the guest of Jerry Don Branch & Co. and wow. They were just as awesome. Especially Jerry Don, but especially the bass player, but especially the drums. I was told these guys are there every Thursday night, often with a guest player. The sound was suprisingly good for a room with low metal ceilings and, I was told, a very modest investment in the pa system. The sound engineer knows his stuff. The bar itself is a nice old bar like the bars Id hang out in 30 - 40 years ago. The bartenders were great too and always ontop of our drinks. Im looking foward to the next Thurs night.

My friend and I went up here and we always get great service. Today was terrible. With the price of everything so high, service SHOULD be on point. All I wanted were some crackers. But because the bar guests at the other end of the bar bought the bartender a shot I became unimportant. No. I did not tip well. For a reason. Will never be back.

Walked into the bar, the bar tender was immediately rude asked me if I had been drinking, which I had not been, showed him my renewal and my license and told me we re good and told me to leave with no due cause. Rude places don t deserve your service. If I could give zero stars I would.

Last night a group of friends and I decided to stay local and hit up a bar in Richardson. We chose The tavern and it was such a good time. A dive bar with pool tables, foosball, games and karaoke. Needless to say, our group of 12 Asians enjoyed our night. Drinks were priced just right, casual vibes and we sang our hearts out on stage. 10/10!!!!

If youre looking for a dimly lit, seedy bar straight out of 70s then this is the place for you. Im fairly certain it hasnt been updated since then. I had no idea that smoking was still permitted in 2024 at a restaurant-bar. Came to meet friends, walked in the door, and the overwhelming stench of cigarettes was disgusting. We had to walk out without ordering. It was creepy and in no way inviting or welcoming. Their website looks great but trust when I say, from the moment you open the door, smell the stench, look around inside, you ll notice the interior doesn t even resemble the images they show. Based on their website, it looks like a fun, well lit & decorated bar. All I can think is they staged the photos like realtors do for properties. Skeevy , creepy.

This is a fun dive bar. My friend and I were unaware of the atmosphere prior to going. It feels like youre going back in time 20-ish years as they allow smoking indoors & the lighting is very dark. The service is great. The food is good, & its a laid-back vibe, but you will smell like smoke when you leave.

Nice local spot with great staff. Saturdays are karaoke so we try to get in and out early. Sorry but some people shouldnt be near a mic.... They have a small gaming area with pool tables, foosball and some arcades. The staff had always been awesome and very friendly. They are a smoking bar so if smoking bothers you be warned. Its usually not bad, but it is there.

First time back here in about 25 years! Invited but friends to go last Thursday to listen to live music. Fun night and good music. Livs music is upstairs and the downstairs allows smoking. They have food and its bar food but better than most. We shared a club, Reuben and chicken quesadillas. All good as fried and homemade potato chips. Its so hot right now and a little warm upstairs but that should resolve soon. Older crowd which works for me. If you enjoy live music and no cover charge give it a try?

Only had one drink on a Tuesday evening. Had a cigar and chatted up the bartender as it was a slow night. Rangers were on and there were only two others when I came in. Parking is in the back, and theres plenty of it. The construction in this area has lasted too long, and it feels like the city wants to run them outta business and expand the police station offices or parking lot. Hidden gem with great live music.

Great place to go on Thursday night for live entertainment. Upstairs is non smoking for those who don t like smoke, downstairs is smoking. The food is great and not overly expensive. Our favorite bar, by far. Parking: Get there early on Thursday to get a place in the lot behind the bar or you can park on the street and walk a block or so.

I love this place, except for.... The smoke... It is a smoking allowed bar, and I hate smoke, but what you gonna do? Been going here, on and off, for 20 years, back when it was named Main Street Liquid Company [BEST NAME EVER!]. Its gone though different owners, but the atmosphere is still great. The food is, and always had been, excellent! Very eclectic clientele, and the amount of customers varies from two or three, to a packed house! First time my wife and I went there, it was 4pm on a Thursday afternoon, and there were nine customers, all men. Over the next 30 minutes, a few more customers arrived, all men. We were starting to wonder if we found a non-descript gay bar! However shortly afterwards, some women started arriving, and we just realized it was the male office workers from close by businesses had just taken off early for a drink! Was a funny thought though! If you can handle smoke, youll LOVE this place! Smoke is the only reason I give it four stars. Its a five-star bar, but the smoke just kills me, so I got to be true in my rating.

It was great. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The only drawback is the construction but Im sure it wont last forever. I cannot say enough about the music. Phenomenal listening experience. How many times in your life can you see 3 of the greatest blues guitarists together on stage jamming and playing great music. Tommy Katona and Wes Jeans and Andy Timmons and the Texas Flood band were all at their best. Thank you all so much for a most remember able night of excellent entertainment.
