The veggie rolls were really amazing and I would go back mainly for the veggie rolls. I would say the quality of the chicken needs to be improved. The chicken did have a rubber texture to it and the sauces needs better flavor.

Man when I say this place is in my top 5 for Asian cuisine I mean it. This place hit my craving and the spice level was just chef s kiss. I will definitely be going back. Everything was cooked so fresh and came out hot. I wanted to go back there and kiss the lady that helped us. She was so nice and made us feel very welcomed.

The sesame chicken was so tough and the breading became this sharp, hard mess, it was like biting into a thorn vine. We ended up throwing away nearly 40$ worth of food because it was so inedible. The only exception was the veggie rolls, which were some of the best I ve ever had. Still, we ve never thrown away so much food before, it was *that* bad.

I made several substitutions and everything came out perfectly. Rice, chicken, shrimp, and broccoli were all cooked perfectly with amazing sauces. It was also hot outside and the owner came and gave me an icepack as she noticed I was putting the cold water to my forehead. This was the nicest customer service I have gotten at a restaurant.....maybe ever. Food is delicious. I will be back again.

As a loyal customer of Long Time Ago, we often dine at this restaurant. Today, for lunch, we decided to order the Hawaiian Barbecue Family Meal and a Combo Rice Noodle with Spicy Singapore Style Curry Sauce. The curry sauce had a bit of spice, but it was just right for my family and me. The lady at the counter was incredibly patient and helped us choose the three entrees for the barbecue family meal. She provided detailed descriptions of each dish. We ultimately selected the BBQ Chicken, Teriyaki Beef, and Crispy Shrimp. The portions were impressively large, even bigger than the regular portions, and we loved every single dish. The chicken and beef were not only flavorful but also juicy, and the shrimp was incredibly fresh. Another standout was the Combo Rice Noodle. The curry sauce added a unique flavor to the Rice Noodle , and Im thankful to the lady for warning me about the spice level I absolutely loved it. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes and couldnt wait to finish them, so much so that we forgot to take any pictures! Thank you, Long Time Ago, for another wonderful meal.

This restaurant was recommended to me while waiting in line at Central Market. Went pretty late and was the only person in the restaurant. The place is very clean and quite cozy. The menu is displayed on two large screens. The hostess was welcoming. Ordered the Vegetable Lomein. Portion was big. Price very reasonable. Will be back to try out the eggplant in garlic sauce. I have a good feeling that they will tweak a dish on the menu to your liking.

If there was a capacity of giving 6 stars, I would do that. I ordered food reluctantly via Uber Eats and it was a match made in Heaven. I ordered Shrimp with Broccoli in white sauce (gave these instructions separately in the comment section) with extra fresh garlic, with extra veggies and extra tofu and extra shrimp. That extra came in a separate Styrofoam box. The order was already large enough. I forgot to add coke so called the place and the lady was nice enough to ask the Uber Driver to carry it separately. In the comments section, I also said if extra soy sauce and hot chilli sauce can be sent, they did lots of it. The shrimp in the food were real big. The broccoli was big enough and everything was cooked properly. two scoops of fried rice came with it, that were ok too. I also ordered plain Lomein noddles, that I wasnt too excited about. However, the food was awesome and Id definitely order it again. There was a deal also via Uber Eats so really got it good. Vegetarian options: Lots of Options. They can order Tofu with Broccoli and other sides also. Dietary restrictions: I look for Halal Food so it served my purpose.

Today, my family and I swung by for some grub. This place hit the spot! We chowed down on some fried rice and lo mein, and dang, it was top-notch. Seriously, some of the best fried rice and lo mein in the hood! But heres the kicker - they let you customize the spicy level. My fam love spicy , but were all on different levels of spicy. This place sorted us out with spicy levels from one to five, and it was just what we needed. Every dish we ordered was on point, and the service was flawless. First time here, but it wont be the last!

Man how can I even begin. When I walked in, the smell was amazing. The lighting wasn t absurdly bright, there was calming music playing, all around good vibes. The lady who helped me was super kind and patient, I wish I had gotten her name. I was coming off a 10 hour shift and was tired so I was a little bit empty headed. When I asked if there was pineapple in any of their sauces because my bf is allergic, she not only checked overall, but she also checked for each of the sauces I considered just to make sure. She wasn t condescending when I mixed up some things on the menu and explained the difference and never made me feel bad for it. She was upfront that there was a bit of a wait and apologized multiple times for how long it was taking (I didn t mind waiting in the least), and even offered me a drink for the wait. And then to the main point. The food. PHENOMENAL. My bf got the combination lo mein and I got the bbq pork rice noodles in their spicy curry sauce. The portions are great for the prices (12.99 each iirc). His lo mein was loaded with sauce and flavor. Mine was also super flavorful. It wasn t super spicy at first but as soon as I added some soy sauce the spice started in full force. I loved every second of it. I will definitely be coming back here again. Thank you for the amazing meal.

This place was awesome to find randomly while looking for late night Chinese food cravings done right. The true effort taken to gather fresh ingredients - prepared in a way that you can fully appreciate them - was not lost on me. They accommodate any taste preferences for additional salt /soy balance (i.e. American Chinese food) or spiciness on par with Indian cuisine. My only gripe was the fried rice. While it was flavored well, it was made with rice that was too wet. This was noticeable in the side of white rice as well, and Im sure this isnt the norm, so I wont fault the restaurant for it. A great value for the money hands down. Cant wait to try again.

I don t like leaving bad reviews for restaurants because it is such a hard business to survive and I respect those who do it for love. Having said that, We got four different plates. We could not even eat the fried rice. The star of all meals was steamed rice. Sesame chicken tasted as if chicken was left in the fridge for ten days and was fried that night hoping oil would take the smell away. Mongolian beef, dear help me baby Jesus, was just big pieces of steamed onions with rubbery meat on top so spicy that i started choking. Seriously i have had Mongolian beef and this ain t it. I don t think these guys have any respect for what they do. We cook most nights and I understand when I m out there I shouldn t expect the same. However food shouldn t make you want to spit it out. The beauty of Asian cooking is the fact that soy sauce, hoisin sauce and oyster sauce do most of the heavy lifting if you don t want put much effort to it. This people are nice though. Awesome greetings when you get there. The lady up front is super nice. I am hoping this was just a bad night but I wouldn t try it again.

I ordered delivery through UberEats, so I didnt get to experience the customer service aspect. However, the food was not great. I ordered lo mein and orange chicken. The orange chicken had a decent flavor, but the texture of the chicken was terrible. It was dry and so tough it wasnt even chewable. The lo mein had a decent flavor but was practically drowning in sauce. The side of fried rice was decent for what it was. Overall, its not great food and probably wont be ordering from here again. Id be better off ordering from Panda Express.

I had orange chicken but was too drenched in its own sauce and the lo mien didn t have a whole lot of flavor. My boyfriend enjoyed his fried rice though. I still have fond memories of this place and consider it a hidden gem that fate was kind enough to place before me to stumble upon. As of recently, Long Time Ago has renovated its menu to have Hawaiian BBQ. I had the spam musubi as an appetizer and enjoyed it with the sauce. The mini-meal portion size is just perfect and a wonderful, all-day addition to the menu; I ordered the authentic Kung Pao chicken, which remains as delightful as ever. Gave a simple order multiple times and tried to pay multiple times. The guy on the phone said he wrote my card information down, which for obvious reasons is greatly upsetting. He then said we would have to wait for the owner and I guess just set the phone down. I locked my cardcand stayed on the line, because of the issue with the employee writing down my card info. Owner gets on the phone and does not ask what happens or even let me speak. She repeatedly went on and on about her credit card machine. Very disappointed in her lack of empathy or even being willing to listen to my concerns. Needless to say, I will never give this place my business again. So my husband wanted to try this place, and when I saw that egg foo young was on the chef specialty menu, I was intrigued. Now let me say this...I love shrimp egg foo young. Ive loved it from my first brush with its savory goodness as a young child. So needless to say, Ive tried my share over the years. When I tell you this surpasses every single egg foo young dish I have ever tried, Im not lying. Its savory, slightly salty with a hint of sweetness that comes mostly from the abundance of vegetables they include in their version of this dish. The other sweetness comes from the garlicky-scallion sauce that when paired with the egg patty gives a unique flair that ultimately makes it the best Ive had. The wonton soup was also beautifully seasoned and looked so inviting that I just kind of looked at it for a minute. The wonton itself was large and filled with meat, and the pairing of seasonings between the broth and filling complete the dish. My husband got the walnut shrimp and Panda Express could NEVER! Clearly I am a true foodie, and I believe this place is a hidden gem that deserves the long review that I am about to post. Ive included some pictures to back up my statements. We will be back.

This has quickly become my favorite Chinese food restaurant. They do the Americanized dishes well like the sesame chicken is still hot and crispy when delivered but where it really shines and what I would most reccomend are the Sichuan specialties like the Chengdu wonton in chili oil appetizer or chengdu fried chicken w chili for that wonderful Mala spicy numbing goodness, the hand shaved noodles. They also helped me when a Grubhub driver never picked up my order and marked it delivered, calling to let me know as much and remaking the order for me when I picked it up in person.

I went to the restaurant- again - and told them they messed it up and they jist needed to make it right. They said no. I got loud and they said yes. Ordered from Uber late at night. I usually despise uber but was late and low on options. I m picky about my Chinese food restaurants and they did not disappoint. Great food especially for the time of night. I ordered a recommended eggplant and minced pork. Prob won t get the same dish again but having tasted the quality and flavor def recommend them. Have ordered 3 times since. Excellent food. Eggplant chicken in photo. Delicious. My new go to Chinese food.

Excellent Chinese food, nice spicy dishes, good quality chicken and shrimp, and great ingredients overall. The sauces and flavors were authentic and tasty. Shrimp fried rice (got it spicy) and amazing! Jalapeño Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken were exceptional in taste. The Spicy fried chicken looked very unassuming however tasted excellent. I would definitely get food from here, the portions are also very generous and service is friendly. The only reason not to give a 5 star is the level of oil in the chicken dishes, next time will ask them to make it with less oil.

Egg drop soup was great. Had a little corn in it, but did not notice it like other places. Shrimp rolls were really skinny and long, and surprisingly good. Hubby said shrimp egg foo young was good, more flavorful egg than other places. There was a pint of dark brown sauce that came with the egg foo young, but I used for my chicken and vegetables, too, which already had a clear white sauce on it. I liked that they gave you a choice of white rice, fried rice (with egg), or noodles with your entree. Loved the noodles! Definitely will try this place again. They were one of the few places near us that had egg foo young past 9:30 pm. You do have to pay extra for white meat chicken, which I understand.

This restaurant is a mixed bag. The service is not geared to dining there at all. All utensils are plastic and it comes on a cafeteria-like tray. No condiments on the table, just a packet of carry out soy sauce. The pork with garlic sauce (fish fragrance pork threads) was delicious but the rice that came with it was very bad. It tasted like stale plastic. And another problem is that they wont bring you tap water but bring you 1 free small .5 litre bottle of Ozarka. I dont think I will eat there again. There are too many good Chinese restaurants in Richardson to waste a trip on a place you cant eat on non-plastic plates and utensils.

Every item is customizable on their website when you order for pickup or delivery. We keep returning and the food never disappoints. Delivery thru their store has always been fast! Support local and give them a try. You wont be disappointed.

I m very pleased with my order 4 stars instead of 5 only because portion was small. Update: I ordered my usual and was very dissatisfied was the taste. Food was fresh but it s not the same authentic taste. Called to confirm what happen and FYI their under new management.... Unfortunately I will not be returning!

Ridiculous! Order moo shu pork to go, get home, and no pancakes! Call them up and ask about it, oh, we not put in there today. What is moo shu pork without the pancakes. If you want, come back up and we will give you some? Really? You could tell me at the beginning that there will be no pancakes and let me decide if I want to eat it that way! At least I would have the choice. This place has gone down hill, and they are remodeling like that will help. Never again!

First time customer, the sesame chicken was uneditable, it was dehydrated old overcooked chicken and had many chiles in the sauce, did I receive generals chicken? This was a 10pm order and they are online as open till 1am, so it wasnt like closing time leftovers? The crabragoon were very good however and the chicken fried rice was good enough, overall I paid to throw my dinner directly into the trash as I dont know if it was safe to eat/chew through. And will never order from Long Time Ago again.

I woke up sick to my stomach the next morning, through out the course of my day I threw up a total of 4 times, and felt like I was getting sick. Muscles aches, the chills, and a throbbing headache, I had to call in sick from work that s how bad I feeling, which I really can t afford to do so I wasn t happy about that. I ran dozens of miles in the middle of the night just to eat meat skewers. The result is takeout for Americans. Its cold inside. I asked for more than 20 yuan for a boiled fish. I don t know how many days the fish will last. There is no smell at all, just an earthy smell. Friends who want to eat skewers, don t take the wrong path.
