Excellent Arabic food in a warehouse setting. This is a no atmosphere kind of place. Very busy with local Arab community getting food to go and dine in. It would be worth noting to dress more conservatively. No need for head coverings, just no low tops or short shorts. Food is cheap and delicious.

Neat little shop tucked away in a corner of Richardson. Amid the offices, warehouses, and other businesses you will find a humble spot serving up some great grub. I had the falafel sandwich, with some spicy sauce for a kick. Great pita, fresh veggies, and the falafel were cooked perfectly; no dryness or mealy filling, just good crisp exterior with fluffy insides. I was pretty satisfied with that, but will definitely need to come back to try the pastries which looked divine. The service was friendly, they even gave me a cup to pour myself some very tasty tea, on the house! Seating is a bit limited inside.

Ordered two each of the Cheese, Zaatar, meat and spinach pies: all to go. Oh so good. Some of the best I ve had in DFW. This is a tiny place, dine-in seating if you want to call it that is on the non-cooking side of a giant kitchen (wonder if this was a ghost kitchen during the pandemic?). The guys in there are very hospitable, there is a slight language barrier but they are so friendly and very accommodating.

I m so glad I found this spot. It s one of the best Middle Eastern spots I ve been to in Dallas so far. Their falafel sandwich is fire. Probably the best falafel sandwich I ve tried anywhere. Packed with so much flavor. Their fatayer (meat pastries) are also delicious. I also don t like liver but their kubdeh plate is lamb liver and it s good. Definitely try this spot if you read this. Trust me, it s a standout Middle Eastern spot. More proof that Richardson has gems.

This was truly one of the most authentic middle eastern experience in Dallas. The food was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Ordered fatayer cheese, zaatar, and meat, as well as kibbeh bil laban and hummus. And took home housemade Labne and Laban. Highly recommend trying the hummus! Thank you for making us feel welcome and at home.

I purchased spinach and cheese fatayer, my guests were amazed! I was so happy. I do recommend it, it was fresh from the oven to the box, I saw how they make the manaqeesh ( cheese flat bread) right of the oven. The wait time was about 30 minutes, but worth it. Parking: Easy and lots of room

Fatayr Restaurant exceeded all my expectations during my recent visit. From the moment we stepped in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The staff were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. Communication was a breeze, as the servers were fluent in multiple languages, making everyone feel comfortable and understood. The seating arrangements were comfortable, with ample space between tables, allowing for a cozy yet relaxed ambiance. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the chefs skill and dedication to quality ingredients. From the savory appetizers to the mouthwatering main courses, every bite was a delight. Overall, my experience at Fatayr Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience filled with delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

If youre considering dining at Fatayr Restaurant, you might want to think twice. Heres what you need to know: Language Barriers: Communicating with the staff was a major issue; the server couldnt grasp basic English, making it hard to even place an order. Seating Charges: Surprisingly, theres an additional fee just to sit at one of their cramped and unstable tables. Order Confusion and Cold Food: We initially opted for takeout but decided to dine in, which led to our order being forgotten. By the time our food arrived, it was completely cold. Subpar Dining Setup: The service was lackluster, with the server carelessly placing our cold, incomplete order directly on the table, without baskets for bread, and insufficient plates and spoons for our group. Despite these issues, the food was actually good when it finally arrived. However, the overall dining experience at Fatayr Restaurant was disappointing. It might be best to choose another place where the service and setting match the quality of the food.

If I could give this place zero starts I would, Fatayr. Dining in here was a Catastrophic Disaster. If youre considering a meal at Fatayr Restaurant, think again. What unfolded during my visit from Columbus Ohio for vacation was a comedy of errors so profound that it would be laughable if it wasn t so frustrating. Heres a detailed breakdown of why this place is a nightmare: Terrible Service: The service was a dismal failure from the start. The staff, resembling clueless novices, wandered around aimlessly, incapable of managing the simplest of tasks. Language and Communication Issues: Placing an order was a test of patience as the server couldn t understand basic English. When we spoken Arabic with a different dialect, he acted as if we were speaking in tongues. Communicating here is more frustrating than solving a complex puzzle. Absurd Seating Charges and Poor Conditions: They charge for the privilege of sitting at one of three flimsy plastic tables crammed into a cramped space, akin to paying for discomfort. Order Chaos and Cold Food: After changing our order to dine-in, our food was lost in limbo for over an hour. Upon inquiring, we were met with excuses ranging from You didnt order to It was ready but forgotten because it was initially to-go. When our meal finally appeared, it was stone cold, as it had been neglected while the staff blatantly ignored us. Inexcusable Dining Experience: The server dumped our cold, incomplete meal on the table, throwing bread directly onto the surface without a basket, a stark contrast to how other customers were treated. The lack of basic dining ware was the cherry on top only two plates and no spoons for six people. Requests for additional items were met with a slow drip of supplies, one piece at a time. In summary, Fatayr Restaurant is an establishment best avoided. The entire experience was fraught with incompetence, rudeness, and neglect. Didnot even get a sorry for this nightmare. Save your time and money by dining anywhere but here.

Ive been coming since it opened and largely have not had any issues and have always found the food good. After coming for about 6 months for the first time it seems that theyve decided to charge people for sitting and for having the tea that up until that point had been free which is fine It would have been nice to be informed that they are not charging for tea. However being charged for sitting was pretty odd as Ive never seen that happened to anyone especially when the place was empty. Perhaps the old ball guy there did not like me lol. Additionally they claim my friend had not paid for his food and made a little bit of a fuss over it their system does not seem to have any have any form of receipts or they just dont give it. so he needed to show him his bank account transactions which maybe could be a genuine mistake but could have been avoided if they had a proper point of sale system The wait times have been increasing also from what used to be a 10 minute wait its now gone up to 30 which is fine if theyre busy its good that a small business is growing. A secondary issue is difficulty in communication It doesnt seem any of their speaks very good English which is fine if you can just point to pictures but it makes resolving any of these kind of situations a lot harder. Overall good food but being charged for sitting and how they treated my friend definitely has soured this place for me. I dont think I I will continue recommending this place going forward.

When they first opened, they were great, but for the past 2 weeks, I stopped 4 times . They are already cheap on ingredients, and they are stretching the same amount of dough to make ( manakesh) look bigger, and its getting so thin . By the time Im home ( 7 min away ), its already so dry and feels like eating chips or crackers. I already know the manager will reply and offer free food or ask to revisit. I dont need free food . I just need the food to be right, like when you first opened .

They made our fatayer dreams come true! The rest of the reviews did not exaggerate, the food is perfect. Small humble place that basically operates as the kitchen because they take orders and dont pre make things as the fatayer really need to be had fresh and out of the oven, though they do have a few tables and chairs if you wanted to eat there. The fatayer are on the larger size so keep that in mind but you dont feel heavy afterwards as the dough is perfect and not too thick. Free tea is offered but you can buy water or soda drinks. They also had hummus and falafel mix you can buy to take home. They open from 7:30 am to 6 pm and closed on Tuesdays. Was surprised but happy to see its reasonably priced. Open fayater were $3.5 each and the closed ones were $3 each. I hope they grow to be more successful and established where they have a nice dinning area for families and friends to enjoy.
