I love the atmosphere, and the staff is friendly. But I paid $33 for 2 beers and 1 can of NA IPA (without tip) which is honestly overpriced. It is $10 a draft beer, but how can you ask for the same price for a can of nonalcoholic beer?!

First time visiting & will now be our go-to burger spot in town! Relaxed family-friendly pub atmosphere. We went for lunch on a Saturday & service was great! Appetizers ordered: Bavarian pretzels w/ beer cheese and fried cheese curds, both excellent! Entrees: Armadillo Burger, French Dip Burger, Kids Pony Burger, & Fries. The burgers were quality meat and cooked perfectly. Fries great & have delicious ranch and beer cheese! Was too full for dessert, but the cheesecake chimichanga sounds amazing. Food prices are comparable to the rest of the area. 32 varieties of beer, cider, and wine on tap. Good TX country playing, but not overly loud. Order at bar & deliver to table service. They also support non-profits & have a horse rescue, hence the name :)

Great location next to San Gabriel Park. Large restaurant offering indoor and outdoor seating. Variety of burgers and sandwiches - my husband ordered the Pub Burger, I ordered the Diablo Chicken Sandwich then Corn Dog meal and Burger meal for the kids. The littles meals came out well before ours which worked out. All were delicious- highly recommend the Diablo chicken for those who love the heat, it did not disappoint. Prices were average for these days - $15 for my chicken with chips, $6 kids meals. Also love the fact that the restroom has a kids sized sink and toilet- makes it easy for my 3.5 and 5 year old kiddos. Will definitely be back!

The food was decent and did have a large beer selection. I will say the burgers are a little on the pricey side $16-$18. It took us 45 minutes to get our food and we followed up with them three times. Personally it should not have taken that long to get our food. Would I go back? I would give the place one more try however in general there are a lot of awesome places around so it will be a minute. The only thing I was disappointment in was the service. The cost was $38 for two burgers with fries and onion rings and we had water to drink. There was live music and that part made up for the overpriced burgers and lack of service.

We love the food and concept but the service is really poor. Shouldn t have to get up and stand in line for a beer when sitting at the bar. It appears that several of the staff are new waitresses and need customer service training. Realize they are new and still figuring things out, but hoping they can soon as we really like the place.

You can tell a lot about a place by how well they do the basics. The Palomino knocks the simple things out of the park. Some of the best onion rings Ive ever had: crispy, well-battered, hot and fresh. Their spicy ranch and beer cheese were fresh and flavorful. Even the grilled jalapeños on the hot dog were perfectly cooked! Well definitely be back soon.

We visited on Father s Day. Empty place, except for a few tables that walked in after us. Poor service. The lady who took our order at the counter didn t send it to kitchen. Left us sitting at the table for 45 min without checking on us. When I checked on the food I was told she had no idea how much longer the food would take. I cancelled our order and was met by a rude manager. This manager did nothing to try make the situation right. All around bad experience. Would not recommend and will not be back.

We overheard someone being awful to her tonight (this is NEVER acceptable) and wanted to call out her great service. Several visits now and I am left with just another average local Texas burger joint. Food is good, not great, if they have it in stock. Drinks are cool, not cold, if they have it in stock. If you order multiple food items they will arrive at drastically different times during your visit. Don t plan to eat anywhere near the same time as your small group or family; every item will take its own time to arrive. Once the meal and conversation ends you will receive your tab and wonder what the hell you paid for. Overpriced average burgers with cold-ish drinks and a great atmosphere. The staff is nice enough but that doesn t warranty the price you pay. Location and atmosphere is what is attractive about this place. A process and logistics professional would do wonders for this business.

Played 18 holes of disc golf, then finished the 19th hole with a couple of Palamino classics, 4 diablo burgers, a chicken breast salad and a few Blood Orange cervezas. Just an overall bad experience. Food was not bad. But crazy over priced. The environment is not that of a chill place or a high class place as the price suggest. The service was subpar. Got bad looks anytime I asked for anything. No server at table. Had. To walk to counter for anything. Cheap Paper plates and bowls. That tore when eating. And the plasticware is the cheapest one can find. Just a cash grab in my opinion. Should open a food truck instead of a restaurant. Would fit the idea better!

This place has a nice setup! Very cool looking building with a patio for outdoor seating. We tried it with our teens for our Friday meetup and were sadly disappointed for many reasons. 3 separate families ordered food maybe minutes apart from each other. 9 people total, 3 in each group. The first group got good after at least 30 minutes of waiting and tried to wait to eat for the others but I couldnt even tell you how long it took for the other 2 orders to come out, it was a while. All drinks are canned/bottled even the tea, but not the beer! I asked if the drinks are bottled and she said no they are canned, so I ordered tea. She handed me a bottled fake tea. I do not like bottled tea but ok. Cheese curds were crispy and the spicy ranch was good and the only thing we all liked. One son had the parmesan cheese fries with garlic aoili but the ability is served on the side and was not very pleasant. My other son got a cheeseburger and didnt even eat half of it. Neither of them were satisfied with the $60+ meal. And my teens eat when hungry! I had the BBB burger which had bacon and bbq sauce. It had 3 tiny pieces of bacon and no cheese for $15. The meat patty was big but I definitely can tell it was one of those premade and possibly frozen patties that I dispise. Fries were mediocre and also probably bagged frozen fries from sams, thats pretty much all we ate from our meal. I being pregnant ate my burger because I was starving and didnt have it in me to toss and go elsewhere-which would have ruined our whole meetup planned too. My last complaint is that you unknowingly have an open tab after placing order and must go back to the front to close it and sign a receipt. This is after ordering 2 hours ago, not being asked or told you will have a tab open AND the staff seeing you walk out the front door to leave and still not mentioning that you have said tab open. Definitely wont be back and unhappy of the quality of the food and service. The lady was nice but Ive run full restaurants myself and dont understand why she didnt ask about the tab-considering we did NOT order beer or anything that was assumed we would be ordering more of and need a tab for. In response to the owner response, the meat is definitely premade patties then because they tasted off and not fresh at all. And IF you ask me if I want to open a tab (which she didnt) then I will definitely decline since I clearly wasnt ordering alcohol. Make sure the staff knows to tell customers or ask before opening tabs. I would have hated to get a fee for leaving it open when I wasnt aware it was opened on my behalf.

In short, food is way over priced for small portions on most of their items and the staff was not happy to be there. Any of them. We go there before it was even busy and the older guy and blonde woman behind the counter just looked like they were not excited about their jobs. I got the chicken salad which came in a tiny red basket and some overly fried chicken for $14. Id hate to see what size the side salad is if that was their dinner salad. The white plastic fork I got with it was super flimsy and hard to eat with. I get using disposable, but come on, dont cheap out on the plastic wear. Space was very roomy and clean. A little cold feeling as in uninviting but nice. Bare I guess would be better on decor. Someone said the burgers were nice but nothing spectacular. Location is cool but probably wont be back.

Wanted a place to get some good food and a beer after taking the kids to the playground at San Gabriel Park and this place was perfect! Worst dining experience I ve ever had. We waited over an hour for our food which was mediocre at best and then the server said it was comped and gave my wife and I a second beer for free. Then when I went to close out he wouldn t comp the food and tried to get me to tell him that the free seconds beers made up for the wait and poor service. I told him I wouldn t be back if he didn t comp the food like I was told. He responded with you won t be back no matter what and made the excuse that their computer system has been acting up and it s not the first time they ve had this happen. If I could give less than one star I would. I was told to go because the food was good. I looked at the hours of operation before going, it said they close at 9. I got there at about 7:20 maybe 7:35 at the latest and was told that the kitchen closed at 8pm, I said but its 7:30 now ... And I was told... yea we just closed the kitchen so we arent taking anyone. So I dont know of any place where the kitchen closes over an hour and a half before they say they close but if this is how they do business they wont be in business very long. And this was on a weekend.

Wow! Came not expecting much but what a surprise. LIVE Music for the 100+ min we were here on a Sunday night. Great seeing the Sun City community living their best lives! The pub-like food was great. My wife and I were happy with the BBB burger, the Palomino burger, fries, onion rings, and the frozen wine margarita. Oh, and the Pretzels and queso! Decided to stop in and give them a try. Walked in just as they were opening so there was a bit of confusion as they got the registers working, once that was done it was smooth sailing! Summary: Overcooked burger, cold, burned bun, great flavor, food delivery timing needs adjustment. Visited Sunday evening for late lunch/dinner; it was our very first time. Menu looked fantastic, the food I saw sitting on tables looked amazing. Couldnt wait to try it! At first it was hard to tell if you ordered at your table, or up front since all the tables had menus sitting on them. I could tell immediately that the gentleman taking orders was easily overwhelmed and was very unsure of himself. I put in my order and after going back to my seat, realized I didnt get a number. It was a bit of a hustle for him to figure out exactly which order was mine, but we figured it out. Burgers came out quick, but unfortunately the fries and onion rings didnt make it out until we were almost done with our burgers. This was timed horribly :( This was an odd one. Burger patty was a bit overcooked (charred even), but it was flavorful. The one big issue I had with the burger was the branded P that they burn into the top bun on all the burgers / the bun was also cold. This is absolutely unnecessary. Yeah, it looks cool, but every single bite I took, I breathed in the gross aroma of charred bread. It didnt help the burger AT ALL. If Im paying $18/burger, please do NOT ruin it with burning a large portion of the bun to brand it. I know where it came from - dont need a reminder. Fries and onion rings were delicious, bavarian pretzel sticks were also really good. Well probably come back for a do-over, but I will say that almost $20/burger (WITH fries though) is somewhat hard to swallow... especially when a majority of it was burned :( Atmosphere was fantastic - very easy to park, easy to sit and enjoy.. GREAT for groups.

This is our favorite QUALITY burger place. Seriously, best burger in the area, maybe in the state. Im not usually a fan of craft beers but I have tasted several of them here and found one that is outstanding. Theres draft beer for any picky beer drinker. Each order is made to order, no getting a cold/dry burger or fries, onion rings, you gotta try their BBB Barbecue burger with bacon! Oh, we love their chips and salsa....

Tested out the new place that used to be Bobs Catfish & More restaurant for years. The new owners completely revamped the whole interior, as was needed. Now there are a bunch of open/shared seating with long tables and benches. There is also live music on certain weekends. No more fish, its now mostly burgers and brats on the menu. I think they are still in the working out the kinks phase so soon after opening the doors bc the staff doesnt seem to be very efficient in taking care of all the customers in a timely manner. But it was fairly crowded the Friday night we visited. But the burger was solid and the fries were delicious. They just need a little more time to get their roles down and improve their service to individual customers/parties.

i think it has the potential to become something quite nice. My burger and beer came out to around 27$ with a 4$ tip and I felt a little under impressed. I do have rather high expectations for any burger around 15$, so be prepared to be slightly underwhelmed.

Came in for the first time just now. So hungry and wanted a burger after a long week at work. I ordered. I sat and I sat and I sat. I listened to some great music from Alex Winters and I sat some more. Finally went up to check on my order. No order. It never was submitted. It s now 8:30 at night. Guess I ll head home with no dinner. There was no, I m sorry. Let me rush this order out for you. It s on us. Nothing. Probably won t be back. The music was great though!!

First time visit. Very nice inside. Clean and open seating with a long bar too. Lots of beers on tap. Pretzels are a excellent. Brats are good. Good Fresno chili peppers and hot relish. Good bar food. Interested in going back and trying more.

Although only open 3 months theyre doing a wonderful job. The burgers were off the charts, the pretzel appetizer was wonderful as well as the cheese curds. The only thing we didnt love was the kids chicken tenders. The staff was helpful the restaurant was clean. I highly recommend it

Visited on a Saturday night. Beer selection was good. I had the steakhouse burger, and it wasnt the best. My burger was very pink, and I was told all burgers are cooked this way. Would have been nice to be told beforehand. I really went for the brawts, but unfortunately, at 7 pm, they were all out. They have live music on the weekends, which is nice, but after the musician was done at 8 pm, there was no music being played over the speakers. I do like the fact they are dog friendly.

We went to The Palomino today after seeing several reviews and were excited to try! There was some disappointment to find that they only had canned drinks and bottled iced tea, being a bar I was just surprised that there wasn t a better selection for iced drink options. We got the pretzels with beer cheese and cheese curds as appetizers, both were delicious! We did wish the beer cheese was hotter when it was served, but it did taste great. We ordered a cheese burger and were disappointed to find that lettuce and tomato weren t an option to get on the burger because they are only reserved for a different burger on the menu. The burger was char grilled , which in my opinion, definitely is an acquired taste; we could also tell the meat patty was a pre-made patty. Also, they don t tell you initially that they cook their burgers at medium, we didn t find this out until a waiter told us and we quickly asked them to make ours well done but, it still came out medium. So, all-in-all, I think this place has great potential but there are some kinks to get worked out. Great pretzels and cheese curds, though!! **Responding to reply I think a soda gun or soda fountain and having brewed iced tea would be a good start for those that want to come enjoy, but don t want to drink beer.

Up to a great start!!!!!! Not knowing my wife had a cheeseburger for lunch, I suggested we go to this place. I had the winerita for a drink and although it was frozen, it was pretty good. My entree was the classic burger and was delish. My wife decide to go with rose wine which she loved and the street burger which having a second burger of the day was very pleasing to her. Owners and staff were a delight. Will definitely come back when things are in full swing...

This place is an absolute gem. From the owner to the staff, everyone is super friendly. From the moment you walk in everyone is super happy and welcoming. Theres a ton of seating spacing indoors and a huge patio thats covered with big trees for shade. They have several beers on draft, wine and margaritas. They also offer food options. I had a cheese burger which was delicious. This is a great place to take your family as it sits across the street from the park and river. You can also rent motorized bikes to zip around Georgetown or head to the square. I highly recommend!

The Palomino is a family friendly tap house and grill conveniently located right by the San Gabriel Park. We had the pleasure of attending their soft opening and the team handled the busier than expected traffic with a smile. The owners are community focused and have locally sourced products, including the out of the world Bavarian Pretzel Sticks (not pictured). Our son loved his corn dog bites and we enjoyed our Pepperjack Brats. One of the samples during the soft opening were these salty and spicy mini pretzel rods (pictured). They paired amazingly with a cold beer and I look forward to them becoming a staple. We can t wait to see what comes in the future as the kitchen expands the menu. Had pepperjack bratwurst, and it was delicious. But the best part was the Bavarian pretzel sticks with beer cheese. Not just the perfect thing to go with a cold pint, but a solid permanent craving! Our kids also has a blast playing on the tractor tires. Already planning to go back ASAP for more!

We had a chance to visit The Palomino and it did not disappoint. First off the new pub is in a perfect location, right next to the park. So whether you re enjoying a day at the park and in need of a cold drink, tasty food, and air conditioning, or just looking for a friendly atmosphere with great service. The Palomino is all that and a bag of chips, and speaking of chips, their chips and salsa are amazing. The flavor is perfect, and the color is even better! Every staff member was kind, helpful, and very friendly. The food comes out in a very timely manner, and you might even be lucky enough to have the owner herself bring out your food from the kitchen when she s done making it. The seating and space inside offers plenty of room for large crowds to enjoy their time comfortably. Outside also has a fun activity area for kids with plenty of seating as well. All around a great place, we will definitely be returning in the future.

The owner is super nice! The space is huge and I can see it being a place that could have sports projected, if they want. My burger was really good. I got a wine-rita and it was delish! They have a good variety of beers and wine selections! I look forward to the grand opening. Also- plenty of parking! Looks like it may be the place to cool down after going on the trails!
