What a beautiful location this was. I cant even begin to tell you how serine and amazing it was. The little chapel to pray and for 3 dollars you can light a candle for a loved one. I def feel this is a must visit if you are in Port Arthur/Nederland area.

Very nice older church. Today was my first visit there. I just moved today to Port Arthur and this was the first place I visited. Convenient location too. Mass was at 4 pm Saturday. Confessions start at 3 pm. Quiet parish but parishioners did not attempted to say hello or talk to me at all which I thought was strange. Usually a new face is always welcomed. Priest seemed nice, but just smiled. He dd not say anything either. I will go again and hopefully next time I will have someone want to say hi. If not I will try another church.

The homily was good. The shrine is awesome. But the sound of water pouring during Mass was distracting. Also they need to offer communion on the tongue. The bishop is wrong for not allowing communion on the tongue and kneeling for reception.

Father needs to increase the confession hours. He always leaves several people in the confession line, while he exits through a different door to say the mass. These wonderful catholics merely want to confess their sins and receive the Holy Communion. When Father exits, they dont get to go to communion. He could, at minimum, offer a group absolution to them, but instead, he exits through another door to prepare to say the mass. Father, examine your conscious and find a remedy to this issue. Increase confession hours - begin confessions earlier so we can all receive the Holy Eucharist!

I go to 4:00 mass every Saturday. I love my church and I love the priests, Father Saenz and Father Mado. Although I spend time with the Lord everyday, this is my favorite place to worship Him right in front of the altar.
