We had a family event on Saturday, 9/21/2024 and needed to set up a brunch for the next day on Sunday. We contacted Tom at McNeals and the rest is history. Setting everything up was as simple as could be. Tom could not have been more awesome! Everything was perfect from the delicious food, the set up of the room for all our family and friends, the service and timing. When we need to do another brunch, McNeals is the place for us. We cannot thank Tom and his staff enough for EVERYTHING that he did. It was a fantastic time and a wonderful ending to a weekend family event. Definitely call Tom if you need a family event planned at his place. Thank you!

So let me break from enjoying to tell you about the spot I happened on today. McNeals in downtown Plano. I came in because I saw my Rangers on every TV save a few and when I say i felt I walked in to Cheers its unreal. Nikki and Emily are phenomenal and make you feel instantly like family. But then came the food. I cant believe I have missed out on this delicious food for so long. The wings are so crispy and still so juicy and the tenders oh man. I will be here from now on during the rangers games my new Official Texas Rangers Watch station come watch our world series win here with me Update: came in today to try the bangers and mash. Wow the mash is so creamy and smooth not too lumpy the bangers are perfectly charred but cook just right inside and the brown gravy was just right and blended everything together amazingly. Bartender Logan was awesome very attentive and made sure I was set up throughout my whole meal with a smile on his face. Good service is harder and harder to find but Logan has it down. Def com check out Mcneals if you havent already.

I came out to Mcneal s for a quick bite to eat and an early happy hour. Everything from the service to the food was amazing!! The chicken sandwich made me drool (Nashville style of course). The bartender Margery was adorable and what a hoot she had me laughing so hard I was in tears. I didn t know what I wanted to drink and she recommended a cocktail for me and it was so refreshing! One of the best burgers I have ever had in my life! My husband had the chicken fried chicken and it was not bad but the burger takes the cake. So good we took one to go and had it for breakfast the next day .It was cold and still delicious. Our server was so nice, I think he name was Logan but if not Im sorry. He was so polite and helped us with food recommendations. We will definitely come back again and again. It gets a little busier as the night goes on so if you like it quieter try around 8 but if you like to party try after 10. Great vibes and nice little place. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Came in for brunch with a friend. We self seated at the bar and saw a server or two walk outside. A woman came by after a few minutes and said she d be with us soon, came back and got our drink order. We were NEVER given a menu :( had to look it up on phone which isn t a big deal, but it felt off to not even be offered one. We were ready to order after about 10 minutes of being there but server never came by to ask us. We let her know we were ready, and she said she d be with us here soon. Waited a few more minutes, watched her walk by a couple times and decided to just ask for the tab. I could see she was taking care of a patio table but she just didn t seem like she cared we were there. I was looking forward to the chicken and waffles??? But took my business down the street.

I came here because the food reviews were very high for a bar/pub. The reviews are right! Great place and everyone is very welcoming. Go check this place out and become a regular! Wanted to give update since I ve been coming here a while now. The owners Chris and Tom continue to maintain a great spot in downtown Plano! Always spend time with their customers even if not a regular. No drop in quality of food! That s huge for me especially since it s a bar/pub. Bartenders are on point and friendly! We came in here for drinks after having dinner out. This used to be the old Kelly s restaurant. Super cute, good food and drinks. However, the bar tender was extremely rude. We thought maybe she had a dry sense of humor at first but were sadly wrong. She was so rude to our party that we will never go back. We have never been treated that way at bar in our lives. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this cute place on a Saturday evening. Our waitress who is from Ukraine was super cute, the atmosphere is fun and open-air with nice lighting, exposed brick walls and cozy booths and high-tops. The food was outstanding. We got the house-made tortilla soup, the quinoa salad and the brisket tacos, which were excellent. The tortilla soup is a thin, tangy broth with yummy things floating in it. Everything was delightful They have a nice, shaded outdoor area for seating with a nice view of historic downtown

Been here twice. Once to meet a friend after work and the other for morning breakfast. Drinks are good, the egg rolls tasty, the Scotch eggs had a funky taste to them, and the wings were good but the sauce didnt stand out. They have breakfast items not on their menu. The berry french toast is amazing. Seems the place to go if you like watching racing and dog competition shows. Their tvs pretty much stay on that and you have to plead to get a TV turned to a live game.

We ended up here accidentally after trying for something else. It is pub/bar food. If that is what you are wanting then this place will serve a meal and keep your drinks topped off. We got the bangers and mash but got the gravy on the side (for my celiac partner) and the potatoes were almost watery and tasted as if they put it in a blender. The sausage was fine, nothing much to talk about. My kiddos chicken tenders were very appropriate for a child. They don t have black pepper/spicy seasoning on the chicken or the fries. That was a plus. The salad was lovely however and saved the meal. So if you re looking for a decent pub meal, this is worth a stop.

We came here after a soccer game during the day and they had live music and the atmosphere was so fun!!! So glad we came here, I had the fish and chips my husband had the fish tacos the kids shared chicken and waffles and a friend had the steak bomb (I think- Philly steakhouse basically) and it was so so so good!!! The drinks tasted fresh made...we had Chiltons and margaritas and they were amazing!!!! And to top it off it was my birthday and to my surprise they all sang and got other kids involved in singing happy birthday!!! Definitely go here, you will not be disappointed!!!! 5 star alert with McNeals! This place is an absolute gem for our little Downtown Plano. We have been her almost 2 years and have been craving for a spot that we could call our go to, well happy to say we have FOUND IT! With comedy nights, karaoke AND bingo nights, who could ask for more? Thats just a bit of the perks. The food here and mind you this is only the 2nd time we have visited is nothing short of amazing! My husband had the Meatball sub the first time and had to eat it alone in a room with a closed door so no one would ask for a bite, today before we went to The Texas Forever Festival we stopped in for lunch with our VERY picky 5 year old and once again just amazed by the food! I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and my husband had the Mahi Mahi Fish tacos, like how can a Caesar be that good??? Its a salad, BUT it was, it was one of the best I have had! Husband loved his tacos and raved about the slaw! Drinks, well they were perfect! Price is 100% on point, food even more so! Owners, we met Chris and walhar a stand up and fun guy! This place is our new go to in Plano! We really just cant say enough! Go, eat and enjoy the atmosphere! Huge TVs all over and were showing our fav UFC while we were there! We ordered two breakfast tacos at the 1418 coffee shop next door that McNeals Tavern provides. I had the brisket breakfast taco while my wife had the potato and cheese taco. They all of scrambled eggs in them. They were hefty tacos, completely filled. Both were good, but we both agree that we preferred the potato taco. Margaret was my server. She was fantastic. She made me feel welcome through my whole visit. I would come back just to talk with her. I had seafood pasta and that was delicious. Did not enjoy the dessert as much. It was not terrible, but lets just say it wasnt what I expected. Everyone seemed to be have a good time. Went there tonight and enjoyed both the ambience and the food. The spinach/artichoke dip was great as was the McNeals burger. My son had the fish/chips and poutine. Both of those were really tasty as well. Good and varied selection of draft beers. Definitely would come back.

This was the first time we ate here.Food was really tasty we ordered a salad , artichoke dip, fish n chips and the classic Mcneals burger. Salad was very fresh and delicious, the dip was hot and flavorful and the bread is nice and crunchy but could use some more on the side. The fish and chips were very good the fish was flaky, the tartar sauce was addicting the batter was a little hard but thinly cooked and crispy just how traditional fish n chips are. My husband loved his burger it was amazing great flavor definitely coming back

The Shepards Pie was disappointing at best...they used ground beef seasoned with a taco flavor, topped it with creamed potatoes and melted cheddar on top!! Far from the expectations of a true Shepards Pie. The Fish and fries were OK, just OK. Fries were barely cooked, fish was OK. The service from Will was good. This place needs to up their game if they wanna make it. Heineken was good and cold.

The atmosphere is great and a good selection of beers. I had fish and chips. Fish was good the fries were undercooked and no seasoning. We had the Sheppard pie and it should have said Sheppard pie with a Texas flair. Wasnt my favorite. Disappointed because its on our way home and we are trying to support local.

New place in Downtown Plano. My wife and I live right up the street. We decided to try it out on Saturday July 2nd. Very friendly staff. The burger was absolutely amazing! Super delicious and juicy! The establishment is new, clean, and spacious. Were excited to have a new destination close to us and oh boy, I cant wait to have that amazing burger again! Cheers!

I sat at the bar. Huge TVs all around bar and dining area. Nice outside dining area as well. I had a crispy Nashville chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was HUGE and tasty. You won t leave hungry if you get that I ll say that. Definitely a place to give a chance to.

This place is absolutely amazing. Hands-down the most welcoming staff and tasty cocktails! The bangers and mash were divine. They offer an excellent draft selection with a gorgeous patio. A very welcomed addition to the neighborhood.
