The restaurant interior was clean. There were many tables to choose and sit down by your own. I liked yeome sotang (spicy goat stew) and someori gukbap (beef meat stew). Both tasted good; the yeome sotang was quite spicy. Parking: Easy to find the parking outside the restaurant.

This was my first time here and it won t be the last! The food here was excellent! I have been to many Korean restaurants and know what good, authentic Korean food tastes like. This restaurant does Korean food right! I am so impressed! The food is high quality, I can tell the food was clearly made and prepared with a lot of care and attention. The Gogi has earned it s title of being my #1 K restaurant! Customer service was great too, the two ladies were so nice and sweet! I will be a regular customer since it s close to work. Highly recommend! Thank you for making my belly happy!

Ordered the Grilled Marinated Beef (bulgogi) Combo with kimchi stew for delivery (so I cant rate service or atmosphere) and it was excellent. The meat in the stew was a little too fatty for my personal taste, but not enough for me to reduce this from 5 stars because it was still excellent.

The service here has always been nice. Theyre friendly, patient and helpful especially when we have a larger party. We have done two big groups meals here and it was really nice. The food is good and the portions are great as well. We like our experience here and would recommend it to many. Making a reservation for their small side space helps them prepare for your group.

I thought it was cook on the table grill. The side dishes were flat. No flavor at all. When the lady brought the bulgogi It was way over cooked like it was boiled. Dumped on raw white onions. I told the waitress who also was not happy about me saying it was over cooked. And she just blurted out We make like this for four years. And she brought me the ticket. I paid and left. Didnt want a big hassle but trust me. Go to a page where YOU COOK IT the way YOU LIKE IT. Miso soup and rice were the best. Meat was so bad i didnt bother with a pic. This was taken before I tried anything. So no

I went with two buddies from work. We all got and loved the pork Bulgogi(they call it marinated pork I think). It was delicious. The banchan was typical (kim chi, kongnamul muchim, etc.) but very much better than typical. The service was great and they have hot Barley tea. Many Korean restaurants have stopped serving Barley tea but not the Gogi. Well be back. One star deducted from atmosphere because its in a strip mall but everything else is top notch so Im not deducting any stars. Parking: Typical strip mall parking. No problems. I managed to park right in front.

We chose Gogi Korean Barbecue to celebrate a family birthday, and it turned out to be an exceptional choice! From start to finish, our experience was simply outstanding. First and foremost, I must commend Mrs. Lee, our server for the evening. Her attentiveness and warm hospitality truly made our celebration special. She guided us through the menu, explained the grilling process, and ensured that every detail of our dining experience was perfect. Now, lets talk about the star of the show the food! The meats, marinated to perfection, were an absolute delight. The flavors were exceptional, and the quality of the ingredients shone through with every bite. Its safe to say that Gogi serves some of the most delicious Korean barbecue in town. One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the reasonable pricing. Given the exceptional quality of the food and service, we found it to be great value for the entire family. We left with full hearts and happy stomachs, without breaking the bank. Were already looking forward to returning to Gogi Korean Barbecue for more mouthwatering Korean barbecue. Its an experience thats hard to forget, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. In summary, our birthday celebration at Gogi was a resounding success, thanks to Mrs. Lees exceptional service, the delicious food, and the reasonable prices. Gogi Korean Barbecue has earned our highest recommendation, and we cant wait to make it a family tradition! * Sorry no pictures, too busy having a good time

Im so happy we stumbled upon this cozy and quiet spot where we can actually have a conversation over some delicious food and hear each other clearly, haha. I ordered the grilled sliced beef, and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The price was reasonable, and theres plenty left over to take home. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

This was our first time visiting the The Gogi and it was memorable. We took our baby with and as a large party Lee was naturally attentive and caring. Taking care of us as if we were eating with family at home. This will be our new family dinner get togethers place because it s so hard to find hospitality like this today. The food was delicious ~ proportions were good and affordable. We had the glass noodles appetizer which was delicious Slightly sweet and refreshing, the spicy rice cake with dumplings appetizer which is plentiful and delicious a little more sweet than spicy but good, 3 hot bi bim bop dishes -~ they were also very good, hot and fulfilling. We appreciated the amount of Korean side dishes we received with our meals which were all fresh. The LA Kalbi was delicious and a good side portion. The bulldog got 3 cooked at the table was a large portion and delicious, but what really made the meal was Lee giving that special motherly touch making ou our night out stress free and happy family dining. Thank you! Parking: We parked right in front with no problem on A Thursday night Kid-friendliness: Lee was over the top with my 4 month old grandson she s just so unique, expressive and caring. Amazing person! Wheelchair accessibility: The entry is wide double doors and the tables show plenty of room in between.

I really like their menu as it offers items that I used to have to drive all the way to Carrollton to get. However, today I made the mistake of ordering the wrong dish, the potbelly and squid pot. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a sugary, thick, and condensed mixture, especially after the heat was turned off. I had to remove the sugar paste with rice before I could eat it. Surprisingly, my child loved it. I had initially anticipated a hot pot dish with a clear red liquid, similar to other Korean hot pot dishes. It felt like I was eating an overly Americanized version of a Korean dish today. I will need to give it another try.

I really enjoyed this korean bbq. The side dishes were pretty good. The dumplings and seafood pancake were amazing. Is not cheap though. We paid $68.00 plus tips for 2 people. The bulgogi was pretty good, $27.00. It also has noodles. The only thing I didnt enjoy was the service. They dont explain very good how everything works with food ordering. Also the server we had, got frustrated because we didnt cook the meat the way she wanted (we eat meat well done). It was kinda funny though. Still, if Im going to pay so much for one meat, I prefer to go to a all you can eat Korean bbq.

The food was great but the service was not. The attendants Ive in counter in my 2/3 visits have been so rude. The first time I went the lady ignored my party the entire time, I would have call another to get literally some water and then when we asked for the bill she DEMAND for tip, when we got service from the other lady (she got the tip instead). The second time I went was not bad it was a very lovely experience the lady from the kitchen came to service us, she was so nice. The third time was as bad as the first, not only did she toss the menus at us, she would roll her eyes at us whenever we asked something, at the beginning when she brought us the miso soup she had toss one of the bowls in the table making it spill, my sister, who I went with, didnt even get an apology after having some miso soup on her, the attendant just left after taking our order. Its very disappointing when a place has amazing food but the service is bad. It my familys favorite place for Korean barbecue

When I came in I was called to come further into the restaurant and when I did I was literally looked up and down and then the woman said what. I said uhm, I would like to eat here, just me. She then waved her hand at some tables so I sat down and got a menu. The most words she said to me was what to drink and are you ready to order. I was never checked on, I was never offered a refill and I just felt like I was angrily looked at the entire time. I barely even got a goodbye when I left by her. For the food being super amazing I just wish I felt more welcome at any point during my meal.

Fairly good food but overpriced and not to my preference. They use A LOT of sweetener. The seafood pancake was $18. For $18, I expect a good amount of seafood. Not mostly fake crab and a sprinkling of squid and 2 mussels. We also ordered the beef, squid and pork belly stew. The ingredients were plentiful and good quality. Unfortunately it was on the sweet side. Like syrupy sweet. One server was very kind and she was the one who noticed the other server forgot our miso soup and bowls of rice. She also asked if we wanted more bachan (side dishes). Yes!! We want more of the side dishes. The bachan was the highlight of the meal. The other server ignored us and she might have grunted once at us when we asked for a spoon.

Perhaps because it caters to foreigners tastes, I personally found it to be the least delicious Korean food Ive had in Texas. In addition, the menu items that said they contained seafood were filled with frozen crab meat, and the taste of the pancakes was very strange, as if they used something other than pancake powder. I never want to come back!! A restaurant that I thought was too expensive.

The service was bad. The waiters never visited our table and ignored us but always checked on others. They only allowed us to refill side dishes twice and yelled at us even though we only asked once. The stone pot bibimbap rice was soggy like soup. Other than that, the food came out fast and it tastes not bad.

The food was good but service was horrible. When we first came in the lady with short hair said to sit anywhere and when we did she said not their? So then we ordered and the lady greeted everyone else that was korean nicely and politely except us that were non korean. When she tried to refill our cups she got mad because i held the water cup to her and not on the table-.- by then me and my friend were already fed up and we already said we werent gonna tip. Once the lady came to pick up our checks i guess she thought she was gonna get a tip bc she finally smiled but then came back AND MADE US TIP like she forced us. She came back with the check. By that time my friend looked for a different nice lady that helped us once and gave her the tip only for the rude lady to say put it in the jar . This place is mid if you want better korean food service go anywhere else but here I recommend carrolton area

Poor service!!! Very disappointed as I read some good reviews about the food so I took my family to celebrate early Father s Day. However, their service was very poor. We waited a long time without anyone one checking on us. We even had to get our own menu. I felt that they would serve Korean speaking customer first. We came before 2 other family and they got their water and food first. The server came and asked oh, did I get you drinks and your ordered . Clearly, there are no drinks on the table. It is a hard job to be the only server. However, please be considerate to your guess as well.

Was visiting Dallas and tried this place (The Gogi) after reading good reviews. Food was decent, service was just ok. Just a word of warning though if youre a party of 5 or more. There were 5 of us and they automatically included 20% tip on our bill. I wondered if thats their policy or they thought that we wouldnt tip well thinking that were being cheap when we only ordered 4 dishes to share. But were not big eaters that we ended up with leftover meats that we ended up packing them to go. Usually it says on the menu when they would include tip automatically for larger groups but I dont recall seeing that. I definitely didnt think their service was worth paying 20% but I didnt fuss. Just wont go back there.

Waiter give my friends and I the one page menu... After we ordered we saw the same waiter give other people the full menu. We didnt even get to order from the legit menu... Food was blend, no seasoning. Waiter was rude and took our sauce away after putting it there, JUST GET ANOTHR SAUCE BOTTLE???? Would of rather burn 50 bucks for heat then going there again. What a joke

We have been here several times and enjoyed the food and service. Today, we asked servers to make recommendation and there was about 10 people and they brought enough for 30. They want to pump up the receipts but the way they did it was unethical and wont even take back. I probably wont comeback again. They dont appreciate loyal customers.

Very Disappointed/ Bad Service/ Pork Rib is good We are the large group went to the Gogi for dinner. The waitress was very rude and urge us order hurry and more food. After we order the food, there s NOTHING came to table for 50 minutes. Everyone was starving and one friend nicely ask waitress to serve Korean side dishes first. The waitress said you won t want to argue with me. What the Besides, the next table (Korean) their food come very fast and waitress always smiling at them. The food was soso. It is a place only for people know Korean and not welcome large party.

I had the beef Kooksoo (a must) and I was taken back to my childhood, eating caldo de res. So yummy! I would highly recommend this place! Bonus points for having a clean restroom

Had the most disrespectful service Ive ever encountered at a restaurant. The servers deliberately ignored us and would walk by our table, not even making eye contact. Another table of older Korean men sat down after us and was greeted and provided plates and side dishes. The server lady with very short hair would even ask the other tables how their food was and not even acknowledge we were there. We chased her down and she yelled at us to sit and wait. All because the last time we came here, they burned our food and we sent it back to be remade. Weve been regular patrons, but since that incident, the particular server mentioned has treated us consistently very poorly. Tonight was the last straw. The only server here who is still nice to us is Ann. However at this point I dont know if we can ever come back. What kind of restaurant makes customers feel unwelcome?

The server had attitude, almost yelled at me. Food is American Korean flavor, all side dishes taste lacking flavor, not well seasoned. The traditional way of cooking soybean paste stew(Doenjang Jjigae) should not have seafood tastes in there. I always order Doenjang Jjigae from K restaurants but never got seafood tastes until this time with this restaurant. Don t recommend if you are expecting authentic K food, or a welcoming service.
