went on a trip with my friends to san marcos and when i was ordering, my card declined so i went to the bathroom to transfer cash to my account and get my food and when i came back my food was ready and the manager paid for my food. i told him i could pay for it now but he said i was good, definitely will be coming back. food was amazing btw.

the burgers were so soft, delicious and perfectly portioned for me! i ordered the avacado burger & added cheese fries on the side. most definitely will be back! the lemonade was light and refreshing. came out pretty quickly but even if it didn t, i would ve waited for it just to taste like it did. pure perfection! thank you for such a great meal Shake Shack! Kid-friendliness: there were a lot of highchairs available, lots of seating options (booths & tables) inside and outside seating.

Ive eaten shake shack on multiple occasions but it seems there might be too many children working here, I ordered online for pickup and my food looked awesome from the peak in the bag but apon further inspection when I arrived at home my first bite felt like the beef was so overcooked and or hard from sitting that I thought I broke a tooth, when I called to let them know the situation the kid on the phone says they cant do refunds over the phone, and that i would have to drive all the way back up there not for replacement food but just to refund me.....? Its 2024 the fact that they think Im so stupid as to believe that they couldnt refund back to my card from an online order is beyond laughable! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO SHAKE SHACK IN SAN MARCOS EVER AGAIN! And if youve read all this then do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. My dog loved it!

Food is worse than at a place where it doesnt cost $40 to get burgers, fries, and a drink for 2. Took awhile to get out, fries are too dry, veggie burger is awful, and the bag ripped immediately, before the employee could even hand it to me. Also the fries are in those cardboard boats instead of bags, so they spilled all over the inside of the bag when it ripped. I also resent that there isnt any sort of meal deal, so you just hafta order the fries separately and pay full price for them. Edited to add that I now have indigestion. This was a terrible experience. Vegetarian options: Veggie burger is extremely salty and kinda gross. The pickles overwhelm it. Makes me wish I enjoyed beef, because that was awful.

Over priced. I could ve taken my kids to a steakhouse nearby for the price I paid. The cheese sauce was clumpy. When I tried to dip a fry in it the cheese wouldn t even stick on to my fry. I personally like more ice in my drink and you don t have the option to pour your own ice. I have never left a review in my life, except for now. I would give it more stars if I could. The staff was extremely friendly, and helped me when my gift card was broken. The manager, who couldnt get my gift card to work, comped me my meal for free and told me how to contact corporate to fix the problem. 10/10 food was great and will be coming back.

Went in for lunch and my order was wrong twice. The staff seemed confused on the table numbers and was brought the wrong order and then when I finally got my order it was wrong so I had to wait even longer than it was already taking to receive my order correct. The fries were cold and there was a cold wet spot in the fries as if they weren t defrosted properly. Moved down from Vermont and thought Id try out all the hype. 33.00 for two of the smallest burgers I have ever bought and 2 small orders of frozen crinkle cut fries way over salted plus a small shake. Didnt care so much for the food husband liked it okay I just did not see that it was even close to worth 33 dollars. Help was nice setup was okay and clean. Only complaint is the over priced burger that you have to buy every topping separately as well. Just know you may wanna try it and I encourage you to just dont be excited that way if you love it great if not the disappointment will not make you lose your appetite.

Im reading the book, Unreasonable Hospitality, as I type this. I was blown away by my hamburger (forget what it was called, avocado/bacon) and french fries! Best Ive had in a while. Id never been to SS before. A hamburger is my favorite meal. Lets say a great hamburger is my favorite meal. They provide that to me. The fruit drink needed to be pumped up in flavor more. Great experience even though we didn t get our full order as we wanted. The worker there expressed to us that they didn t have any veggie burgers left and refunded us immediately. After a while I noticed they didn t refund it completely and expressed that to them. They offered to make my girlfriend a salad for free. This was a nice surprise while visiting the San Marcos outlet area. Id driven by several times, never stopping, but always intrigued by the looks of the bldg. I ordered the Korean chicken sandwich, fries, and the Yuzu honey lemonade. I enjoyed the atmosphere, finding it bright, modern, and happy. The food was very tasty. The flavors of the sauce, thexhicken, were goid. I especially like the bun. The lemonade was sweet an interesting blend of the sour of the lemonade, the warm spices, and the sweet honey. Delicious. Bus your own table, no refills on tea or soda apparently so it would be nice if they at least filled it to the top. Burger was hot, so thats good, fries were crispy but needed salt. Doubt that I will be back simply because it is so overpriced.

We went for a lunch while shopping at the outlets. It was a new place so figured we d try it out. First impression coming in was similar to steak and shake in Fort Worth. Small place, simple food atmosphere. We spent a little over $30 he got a double cheeseburger with bacon cheese fries and a lg coke and I got just a chicken sandwich. Definitely didn t think the money was worth the quantity of what we received and most likely won t be going back, our usual small burger place we spend $10 less and we both get meals with sides, drinks and burgers are bigger, in fact I d say double the size. Definitely wasn t worth what we paid. Probably bc it s a college town in the middle of a major shopping center but still... food was decently flavored just not worth the price in my opinion.

We tried three items at this location - Spicy ShackMeister sandwich, Hot Chicken sandwich and Spicy fries with ranch. ShackMeister was a good sandwich with a signature sauce, crispy onions. Everything came together well with a nice kick to it. However, portion size left a lot to be desired, for the price. Hot chicken sandwich was ok. Nothing remarkable. Fries was decent. However, the ranch dip stood out of the ordinary and was enjoyable. Service and atmosphere was good. Overall score - 3.5; A bit pricey for what you get for your money.

We had some gift cards that we had planned to use that were good for specific items on the menu. We ordered a double burger intending to pay the difference in price but the gift card could only accommodate a single burger. The manager made the extra effort to get it worked out for us. This was during a busy evening so it would have been easy for him to say sorry but he didnt. Service like that deserves some Attaboys! And the burgers were good too.

11/17 around 11:30 am Never have I had Shake Shack. My husband and I both ordered the Avocado Bacon Chicken Sandwich and fries via the drive thru. We know some chicken sandwiches this is, by far, the best chicken sandwich we have had! Fries and sweet tea were delicious too! I would share a picture but I took one bite and that s all she wrote! Can t wait to try the burger and shake! Keep it up!!!

First visit at this chain restaurant a pleasant experience. Ive heard good things about it for years but never had the chance to stop in until now. I kept it simple with a hamburger and Lockhart sausage link on a bunch with onion, tomato, lettuce, and shake sauce along with regular fries and a wild berry lemonade. It was one dang good burger and fries! But then I say that to most every burger place I eat, cause I love burgers. My wife had the chicken sandwich and claimed it was the best shed ever had. The pickles are fantastic. Its all good.
