Beautiful trails, the best I know of in the area! But, watch your step, there is poison ivy everywhere. It s easy to avoid if you stay in the center of the trail, but as you get closer to the sides, there is plenty of the ivy

Plenty of very wooded trails to hike and get lost in once you tire of the paved ones. If youre lucky, you might spot snapping turtles in the creek which, if you havent seen them before, strike you as quite unique. Just dont try to touch them. Also a nice place for birders. Bring your binoculars along! The concrete trails are kid-friendly but you might have to help your tots on their cycles on uphill sections.

During my first visit to this park in early August 2024, I saw a man propose to his girlfriend and she said yes. It was such a beautiful moment to witness on a random day at a random park. Maybe to them it has a special significance. So I took this picture of the sunset that was right behind them to remember that moment :) I hope they get to find this one day.

You can follow the concrete path or dirt paths hidden in the preserve. Without a dog, medium walking is about 30-45 minutes. People are friendly, but still take your protection ladies. I went around 11AM and it was packed but if you feel like doing dirt path then yes just stay protected, regardless. Pets are allowed but smaller dogs may struggle in the heat.

An awesome place to walk trails! It has so much variety. The park has beautiful wildflower fields, wooded trails, paved trails and streams. There are easy trails and some steeper trails if you want to challenge yourself. There are designated bicycle trails as well. On the weekends there are a lot of people, but it was still peaceful to me because I took the wooded trail most of the time. There is at least one pavilion that you can reserve for get-togethers. It is right next to the playground. They have restrooms at the beginning of the trail that are not amazing but serviceable (I ve seen much worse). They also have doggie bags and trash receptacles throughout the paved trail. This park is so well kept and beautifully designed! Round of applause to those who created the park and tend to its upkeep!
