Edit: Its four years later now and time to raise our rating for this location. Service is consistently better now and hopefully the issues described earlier are permanently a thing of the past. Yesterday we had Ollie as our server and he just knocked it out of the park. There was a manager we have not seen before and she was really on top of things. She mentioned she just moved to this area 3 months ago, and between her and Ollie we had a really great breakfast experience. Great service, great food and great value. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This is the nearest First Watch to us so we keep trying to like this location. The problem is that something always goes wrong for us here. The first time we ate here my food came out 10 - 15 minutes after my wifes food. As we were leaving the manager asked if everything was good. I mentioned the issue with timing and was given a First Watch gift card. Cool, mistakes happen and it was great to see the manager step up. So when our son and daughter-in-law were in town we went back. This time it took 40+ minutes after our order was turned in for anyone to get any food. Then it came out one plate at a time, most of it cold. This morning it was understaffed confusion. When we arrived at 8:00 AM one person was having to be the cashier, seating host and bus boy. So all three of those tasks suffered, with one group of people waiting to pay, and another group waiting for tables to be cleared so they could be seated. When our food eventually came out it was not good. The food on both plates was cold, my biscuit gravy was so salty I couldnt eat it and the chicken sausage, which my wife said tasted off, made her ill when we got home. Maybe we were just unlucky three times in a row. But bottom line, even though the Frisco First Watch is also crowded on weekend mornings we havent experienced these issues at that location. So its back to driving up there when we want First Watch menu.

We absolutely love first watch! We use to go in Omaha and in San Antonio when we lived there. Moved to Dallas and ordered from this location and the food was awful. Each item was missing an ingredient or was raw or overcooked. Nothing was made well expect the pancakes. Market hash was missing goat cheese and mushrooms and the eggs were still raw and you could see the gooey egg whites, frittata was raw inside, eggs Benedict only had 1 poached egg that was completely broken to 3-4 pieces and it s supposed to come with two. The person that ordered the chia pudding was allergic to bananas but they still put them on (even when the order said no bananas) Absolute waste of money. Nobody finished their food and it s just lying around.

Lots of seating. Good temp. Calm music. Hard seats, no cushions. Skillet had 1 tbsp of meat and 1 tbsp of non-potato. My skillet didn t include toast but wife s skillet did and she got avocado in her so definitely the more expensive meal. Good server and manager came without me asking.

We came to first watch today wanting to try something new. We were left completely and utterly disappointed. We came around 1230pm and there was no wait to get a table. However around 20 minutes in, I started to get antsy because no waiter came to get our drink order. I asked for a manager and she said no one has been assigned to our table. Then why seat us there? Different waiters came but they werent assigned to us. So now we are waiting 40 mins for someone to take our food order. When our drinks finally came we didnt get the coffee jar/ pot like every table did and we didnt get waters or silverware. We felt ignored and neglected. My husband wanted to leave but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The food appeared to be ok until I cut my omelette with the fork and found a hair. At this point my patience was running low and no waiter came to check how the food turned out. I had to wave someone down to ask for the manager. She didnt apologize but she did offer to replace or comp my meal, and she did comp it. No one came to refill our coffee/ drinks no one came to attend to us . The manager came a third time and comped our entire meals but that doesnt make up for the crappiest experience ever my family has had at a restaurant.

Food was great but servers were hard to find and I had to ask 3 before I finally got a refill. Plates stayed on the table after finishing till we left. We were sat quickly, but it took a while before anyone came to our table. The food was mediocre, but the avocado on the avocado toast was generous and the mocha mint coffee was actually really good. Save yourself and go to The Scrambler down the road. Came here with my wife and the first thing we saw upon walking in was the servers fighting. They sat us, then were quite visibly talking about us and point at us with other coworkers. But the entire time we were there, the staff seemed more interested in flirting with each other than paying attention to their tables. Food was alright. I expected more after seeing so many people waiting to get in here on the weekends, but we will certainly not be returning after seeing how the staff behave.

First Watch used to be so good, but today s visit was maybe my last. I ve had their classic eggs benedict before, but today it was basically inedible. The poached eggs were barely cooked, the egg whites were running clear, so they hadn t seen any heat. Everything else was basically room temperature. My husband s pancakes were cold too. I mentioned it as we were paying and the cashier wasn t surprised. Probably won t be back. IHOP would have been better.

We were excited to try this for breakfast. At 9:30- ish this Sunday morning. They had plenty of open tables and there was no wait. We were seated promptly by a friendly hostess. And then we looked at our menus for a few minutes, then we sat for about 10 minutes and waited. No one even acknowledged we were there. So, that was our experience. Today we had a large party of 14, plus a high chair, at the restaurant, and we were very appreciative of the managers efforts to accommodate us. Although the air conditioner was out in their extra room, the manager was considerate enough to inform us that we might not enjoy ourselves in that space due to the heat. Thanks to his attentiveness and willingness to work with us, our group had a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. Great service!

Tried for first time, think I tried the wrong dish, the shrimp n Grits, they put andouille sausage and bell peppers In it, to my taste it over powered the shrimp and the Grits tasted strange world the bell pepper. I will try again because the beverage choices were very good i tried the Purple Haze it was amazing, will go again and try the others beverages. Food choices are interesting and varied. Great service. Good ambience. They give you your own pot of coffee, which is a real plus when you need your morning fix. Some favorite dishes: - The Triathlete (healthy and tasty) - Inspired Italian omelet - Chile Chorizo omelet - Seasonal pancakes are usually surprisingly good Fair warning: there are two things that some folks like to change often. 1) they have a default artisan bread that you may love, but some folks dont care for (usual substitutes available, though) 2) on some dishes they have a vinegary serving of greens (basically a simple side salad) that some folks find odd for breakfast; I like it (and it is great for your health), but plenty of folks like to sub potatoes to align with what they are used to Pro tip - the Trifecta is eggs, waffle, and choice of breakfast meat. However, you can sub seasonal pancake (like I did today) or French Toast for waffle. If you like to sub out for fruit cups, theirs has a bit more variety than most, which is nice.

Poor parking, no flavor, salt and pepper grinders are not being refilled so you cant flavor your own food, ice coffee was not good, potatoes are cut uneven so each bite is either burn or half raw. This location is going down hill fast! If you can go to another location (like Richardson)I recommend you go elsewhere. I came in and stood in line waiting to be seated. There were two men in front of me. No one was in here to greet us. No one was on the floor at all. One of the men got upset and walked out and then the other had to walk back into the kitchen to get someone s attention. When the man was successful there were two employees that come out of the back and asked if we were doing okay and if we needed help. The one guy just wanted to pay! I turned around and walked out because they were looking at me with a blank stare. They service today was non existent so I left. Find another location.

It was our first time trying First Watch and Christine was our server. Although it was packed, we were seated immediately. The food and service was so quick even though it was busy. Food was ok, We ordered million dollar bacon on the side and it never came out with our order, some other guest arrived and was seated after us but some how they received bacon before even ordering there food. I think he accidentally gave away our food so we had to wait for another order, so I had to stop eating and wait for my bacon so I can enjoy it with my omelet. All food should come out together. The service sucked, our waiter was ok but forgetful. No one really seem friendly or welcoming. We wont be back. I rather eat at home and save my money.

Ordered from Uber eats this morning. A whole entree was missing. I hold the store accountable because they clearly did not check the order. The bag sticker doesnt reflect that the order was checked. This is getting ridiculous. I cant count how many times Ive had food left out of an order. Even though I was refunded, Birthday breakfast was ruined by I would have to re-order and wait another 40 minutes. We should all boycott these delivery companies until the industry figures out how to get orders correct.

First time eating here. It has a rustic feel and the tables are spaced well. We went around noon on a Sunday. The restaurant was busy but we didnt have to wait for seating (party of three). The hostess and waitress were very friendly. I liked that the waitress gave us space to have our conversation so we never felt rushed but was never far away. She made sure drinks were full and we had everything we needed. There are several good choices on the menu and the food was cooked properly and seasoned well. I would have rated them five stars except the kitchen either overlooked cooking my meal or they dropped it preparing it. I am not sure. However, my friends received their food a full ten minutes before I did. The lady who brought out the food told me they were finishing my dish up and named exactly what I ordered so I know the waitress entered the order correctly. After about three minutes the waitress came by and told me she checked on my order and the kitchen said they were finishing it up. It did not come out until ten minutes later (I timed it). My friends had nearly finished eating as I was just receiving my food. It makes it awkward to sit and watch everyone else eat but I insisted they not let their food get cold. I know mistakes happen but the kitchen manager should have acknowledged the mistake and at least offered a side dish or something so I didnt sit there and watch my friends eat. This is probably a one time thing and if we go back I will update my review.

Food was ok, the line of people waiting to pay is annoying and frankly is a less than pleasurable experience as people are standing right next to your table with the Butts facing you 20 deep just a couple feet away while you are attempting to eat. Not a fan of Baked Bacon either. Just one question, why not just pay at the table like every other restaurant??? Especially with the mobile/ book payment options in 2023.

I will start by saying this will be my first and last time going to First Watch. Rare is it that I will find myself writing reviews for anything, the experience is either spectacular enough to warrant it or the opposite. I have heard so many great things about First Watch over the years so I figured now is the time to try it. I was looking for my hangover cure. How is it that my hash potatoes are undercooked, but my grits and soup look like they were sitting under a heater lamp for 30 minutes? Dont get me wrong, I fully understand a Sunday morning rush. This is by no fault of any of your servers, I genuinely appreciate customer service, but the lack of good customer service here today, no updates on when my food would be ready, or if it was ready, having to wait over an hour for something that should have been ready in about 20 mins? I wish I just had it delivered, especially if I was going to get delivery quality when picking up. How can half my order be cold and stale and the other half be slightly undercooked? The scramble/hash was otherwise okay, but I could not be bothered to finish the grits. They are flavorless and have a thick texture to the point you can roll them up like play dough. Soup was room temperature when I got it. Maybe I just had an unlucky day, but I do mot plan to return.

They don t ever include napkins nor any sort of utensils. Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegetarian options and even a few vegan choices if you are strict in that sense. Dietary restrictions: Kitchen does a good job with dietary restrictions if you make your concerns clear up front. Parking: Location shared parking lot with others on shopping complex and shops are not reserved for each business so you may find you are not parking close if the shipping center is busy, but there are plenty of spots. Kid-friendliness: Ive seen a number of kids in there eating, but didnt specifically see high chairs so I would ask about that before going if a concern

Our server, Deya, was absolutely wonderful and attentive. She remembered us from our first visit and was incredibly kind to our small children on both visits. The food is honestly to die for, the management is clearly running a cohesive and friendly establishment because all of the wonderful elements come together to create an exceptional dining experience. This is a great brunch spot, but beware of the wait times. Luckily, there is an online queue you can join to alleviate that somewhat. The waiters won t be at your table for long because there are a *lot* of people here at once. That being said, this is a great family spot to go on a weekend afternoon. The coffee is amazing and very rich. The food came out pretty quickly and it was super tasty. We loved the brisket quesadilla benedict and the biscuits and gravy. The eggs were all wonderfully cooked and perfect to our order. I will probably come back here again .
