Won t be going back. Waited 15 minutes just to get our drink order. Had to actually get it myself. Waited another 10 minutes and no one came to take our order. Been going here for 5 years and NEW MANAGEMENT is a joke. They werent busy at all but decided talking and joking around was more important than taking our order. After hearing a couple next to us saying the food is bland now and not worth it, we walked out. This place will be gone in a year unfortunately.

Ever since they got under new management it seems like the food has changed the sauce is very bland and watery, they went from selling live crawfish to frozen crawfish which I hate! The staff is ok. But i will not be back due to how the food taste.

Recently went back under new management. Staff much friendlier but prices are RIDICULOUS! ___ We love the flavor at Boiling Stop. It s very garlicky but we like it. Just wish the shrimp were cleaned. They serve dirty shrimp and it s gross so if you don t want to peel and see the dirty veins (poop) in your shrimp, stick w crab legs. I order medium heat and it s just enough. My kids who can eat spicy get mild, which still has some kick. Potatoes and corn on point every time. Service not great but if you re nice to them, they are nice to you.

Worst experience ever!! Our orders were messed up from the very beginning...after waiting 45 minutes or more for our food, we received orders that were not ours, drinks that were not ordered, and the fish and fried shrimp were severely overcooked and fries were half cooked and cold! The waitress, Esmaralda, had a cold and sneezed on us and into her hands and then handled the food bags!! She needed a mask and should not have been handling food! She was banging food buckets and bottles because she was frustrated... It took an hour to try to get our tickets corrected because they did not know how to work the register! There was a breakdown in communication because the manager could not or did not want to understand what was being said regarding over charges!! The waitress nor management took responsibility or apologized for their mishaps, my daughters birthday celebration was a total catastrophe! This was once a favorite spot for us before the new management, we will never dine there again! I still didnt get my ticket correctly priced!!! This was an awful night... Birthday celebration 6/12/2024 was a bust!!

We will NOT be returning to this establishment. We have been coming here since it opened YEARS ago, but this new management has RUINED this restaurant. We were a party of 10 for a birthday. We were all on separate checks and told the server from the beginning. The server (Esmeralda) was the problem from the start. She coughed and sneezed multiple times and didn t cover her mouth or go wash her hands. She couldn t answer any question and was entering orders wrong. We had to correct her entering orders incorrectly. The server was placing drinks in front of the wrong person and telling us to divvy out the drinks to the correct people by tasting. She brought 1 persons food and set it in front of them but not ended up being from another table that ordered the same thing so one 1 person got half their order about 20 mins before anyone else at our party got their food. While we waited for our food (approximately 30 mins) she never once came back over to refill drinks. When she came with the rest of our party s orders, she handed bags of the wrong food to everyone and only realized it when another employee came over and said she was giving us someone s to-go order. After collecting all of the wrong food from us, she grabbed more food and was still giving each person the wrong back of food. She had no idea what was what. After about 10 mins of figuring food out and getting everyone the correct food, I again had to ask for refills on drinks. One person in our party had to remind her 3 times for part of his order, which finally arrived after he finished eating everything else. She kept asking a member offing our party if he wanted another beer. He told her multiple times no, he was good, but she brought one anyway. When he said he didn t ask for it, she said, well, it s open now, drink it or give it to someone else . At that point we were just about done eating and asked for a few to-go boxes. She disappeared for about 30 mins. My son in law ended up going to the front and asked for the checks. A while went by and she didn t come back. My husband went to the front and asked someone to have her bring us our checks. No one came. At the 1 hour mark from asking, I went to the front and asked someone to have her bring us the checks. No one came. My husband went back to the front, very irritated at this point and she finally came back. Every. Single. Check. Was. Wrong. When we told her, she couldn t figure it out and told us to figure it out. Each person went to the front to attempt to correct out checks with a manager. We noticed that not only was a 20% gratuity added, but it was added ON TOP OF TAX. we told the manager we wanted the 20% taken off and that we would tip what we felt was satisfactory and they refused saying it s mandatory. We told the manager to correct all the checks and remove the gratuity. He started calling someone on the phone. The server then started cleaning up the table and tried throwing trash into a big trash bin, but it ended up on the floor. She looked at me and yelled see, o have to clean up after you and you don t want to tip me. I gave you perfect service . I said no ma am, your job as a server is to take care of the table. You just threw all the his onto the floor bc you are mad. Nothing about any of your service has been good or correct. Then she began yelling at my sister in law. All of this happened with other customers present in the restaurant. It took 1 hr 25 mins to get our checks paid from the time we asked for the checks to the time we walked out the door.

The place looks drab and dark. The waitress did not help at all. She did not know what was on the menu nor how to help us. We asked for a side of sauce and then were charged an extra $3 for each sauce. I was told the manager did not speak English so he couldn t speak to us. The corn and shrimp were overcooked and not worth eating. The sweet potato fries had NO seasoning when I asked for seasoning I was told they don t season the sweet potato fries. I will not be back.

Crawfish xtra hot was damn good. Definitely spicy but not to bad if u enjoy a good kick. Wife had medium spice and it was about right for her. Good place would definitely come back. Update 2024: Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this place at least for crawfish. Last time we went was very disappointing, crawfish which were marked as fresh seemed to boiled from dead or frozen ones mainly. Plus the price was very expensive. The price is likely not fully in their control but quality is. We may try this place again in the future but for now we are getting our mud bug fix from other places.

This was my first time trying this restaurant. I purchased the Snow Crab Combo - 2 clusters, potatoes and corn. I added eggs for $65.00 and a beer total ticket $74.68. Way overpriced for the taste and quality of seafood!! The food was bland no real flavor and I had medium heat. Corn was over cooked and again flavor less. The bag wasn t tied when it was placed on the table no steam nothing, lDefinitely not like a real seafood boil bag dinning experience. I wasn t given a bucket for trash until I ask and they had no crackers. How can you sell gumbo or seafood of any sort without crackers to eat in your restaurant. They definitely need to figure out the flavors and how to present a seafood boil bad. I would not recommend coming here if you ve had really good seafood boils this isn t that type of experience.

All five stars. Amazing experience every time- me and my boyfriend always go on Friday night around 5 or 6 and Sahara is an amazing waitress, she s attentive and so nice. Always asks if you want a refill on drinks and just over all great Waitress. The food is great- when we splurge we get the colossal combo and it s so much food but it s gone every time, when we save, we get the gumbo and it s so filling and it s got little pieces of shrimp and okra that make it so yummy. The sauce they use for the boil is AMAZING. I can Never get enough.

You got to try the bag of shrimp with spicy sausage and a spicy level of mild (or hot if you re like me ) sweet potato fries are okay, not as consistent with the crunch, but they pass. First time eating here today. The only two workers there were 2 African American women. One of them just stood behind the counter and stared at everyone with a blank daze on her face like she was high or something. The other one did all the work, she was not friendly at all, reminded me of a correctional officer, no smile, very direct, not nice at all. Once she brought our food she never checked on us not once. Also, if they are not going to check on you, I really wish they would let you refill your own drinks. The food was not good. We ordered shrimp in the bags and they tasted like NOTHING even after dipping them in the sauce. We had to put lemon on them just for them to taste like something. Definitely would not return. *****WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ******* Please don t waste your time going here. My family and I wanted to try this place out for dinner. The cashier was very rude and had a bad attitude. i been eating here for a while i cook for a living in the food industry this place has great food lovely flavor. i only have one problem and one problem only with this place they start putting the chairs up on the table when its close to closing time in front of customers that are still there. to me thats rude they made us feel like they was rushing us to finish our food. we did get there at a decent time 8:00 pm closing time is 10pm. 3 tables remaind occupied and they was putting up chairs all over the restaurant sweeping around customers feet. thats so rude i know you want to get off work but in the food industry thats something you just dont do. that can bury a business or hold it from reaching the peak potential it has. when your last table walk out for the night then start doing that not on top of your customers .take this for what its worth it will make or break a buisness

Someone seriously needs to do something about the hours of operation we have been coming here for a few years and the hours are always a hit or miss it changes constantly and it s not up to par with Google it s about the 5th time I ve went there and they change up the time. It seems like if they close in 2 hours the lady at cash register won t even let you in. It almost seems like who ever is working the register makes their own rules and I don t think that s okay. We ve been here multiple times and we love coming here but what happened to us tonight had to be documented. Every time we have the soft spoken gentleman who works there, he is seriously the nicest server ever he s so polite and attentive. However, we ve had this woman serve us once before who was rude and we let it go. But tonight that same woman, yelled TO GO ONLY!!! from across the restaurant the second we walked in. It was 8:30pm, not sure the reasoning behind that but that s no excuse to greet a customer in that manner. They were rude, and when we asked for the manager before hearing us she said I heard everything like she was about to fight us. FYI they won t sit any parties of 10 or more. The management said even if you sit separately as parties of 5, if they see you talking, they will kick you out. The girl we spoke to was Britney. They used to be good but due to management change they seem to have lost quality in their food and service. Came before 2 hrs before they close on a weekday and they refused to sit us. Many other Cajun places in DFW.

This restaurant has changed names/management 3 or 4 times. This current one (now called Cajun Boil Stop) is awful. I ordered the snow crab combo which is 2 clusters. A few of the clusters had little meat in them. It was over cooked and the sauce was just okay. The waitstaff was lazy and not very accommodating when we asked if they could change a tv to a game. The waitress said, Ill ask, but they probably wont do it. We asked them why not and she said bc they were watching the BET awards ( they being the STAFF, not other customers). I would just skip this place altogetber.

Rudest experience I ve ever encountered. We decided to leave after 4 separate instances all before being seated. Sad to say they will never earn our business again. What s more sad is they couldn t have cared less. We were patrons for many years and so was my extended family. RIP BOILING POTS/BOILING STOP! Great food! Awesome customer service! My daughter is addicted and then there s my 82 year old mom. There is always a war at home if we take leftovers! My daughter will sneak in the kitchen and mom hears her breaking them legs! Sauce is perfect! Timely service! And they are extremely friendly with my grandkids! Guess you can say we are regulars! And the music had me moving more than just the happy food dance! I think most reviews that are bad are because some people go in miserable and angry from something else! Don t waste your time going here.I called around 2pm before going on 2/25/22 and asked about reserving a table for a group of 11 people was told on the phone I didn t need to reserve one and to just stop by. I drove an hour we arrived around 7pm just to be told by the so called manager that she will not be attending us and told me what ever they told me over the phone only applies to the morning shift and walked away as I was speaking to her I will not be returning to this rude and disrespectful place

I ve been to this restaurant a few times in the past and used to love it. As of late it s left a less than savory impression. This is the 2nd time I ve tried to come in the last few months and the kitchen is somehow closed. The close time is 8:30pm, I ve come at 7:45, 7:35, & 7:50; all of which I was told the kitchen was closed. If no orders can be placed after a certain time, that needs to be posted on the door or somewhere bc it seems to change every time I go in lately. And it s not that the restaurant is busy or packed, these are weekday occurrences. Really unfortunate

I almost hate to write this review. I say that because if the word spreads it will turn into that other Boiling place that is so crowded that they wont even answer the phone. And honestly, I think Boiling Spot/Pots is better. The price is a little higher per pound, I believe, but the lack of a ridiculous wait and good service, great food makes it worth any dollar value. My wife and I have been coming here for years and we love the shrimp. We dont do crawfish anymore since we feel the shrimp is the better value per pound. We get the sauce heat level as hot. I order a side of French bread which comes with drawn butter. I dump the drawn butter in the bag of sauce and drip the bread into that! Not diet food. Heat level is perfect for us. Shrimp tends to be cooked perfect every time too. Its been hit or miss at the other boiling place. Im not trying to bash the other boiling place, I love it too but for me this is where I come when Im in a mood for seafood.

Seafood is generally expensive everywhere, but at least here they measure in pounds so you know exactly what youre going to get. Weve been here 2 or 3 times now and its quickly become a favorite. The service has been great every time weve gone, and theres never been a long wait to be seated. Well be back.

Came in at 7:37 was told they don t seat anyone after 7:30 but that isn t mentioned on their website google information or anything. When asked to speak to the supervisor was rudely spoken to saying they don t have to tell anyone that meaning people waste their time driving all the way to their business to be turned away and very rudely at that. I just saw a whole family go in at 7:43 and get seated to eat with no issues. Interesting how this works. Never again.

I ordered red beans and catfish with butterfly shrimp. The red beans (which were in a plastic container) had about a 1/4 inch of grease sitting atop them. The shrimp was burnt. The fish wasn t cat, it was swai and it smelled weird. The fanta was good tho so i added a star for it and the hush puppies.

The wings are the best I ve had. My family loves their seafood!! The only downfall is that when you dine in, the server only brings your food and drinks (only 1 round) and after that they don t check on you if you need anything. You have to call a server instead. They also charge 12-15% tip from your bill, which I don t mind but I also expect the server to serve us.

Me and my husband went here for the first time, because we were in the Plano area. The young man (Im sorry I dont remember his name) that helped us did a great job. He was the only person that we saw working tables that day. The food prices were more expensive then what we saw on the Internet, and we know thats happening everywhere due to COVID-19 and staff shortage. It was still worth it. We would go back.

We enjoyed the Shrimp and Crab Combo along with the Fried Shrimp and Fries. My family and I have been eating here for years. The Cajun Sauce is not like the New Orleans Cajun taste but it is still really good. The staff is always really friendly & I personally enjoy the open environment and how the staff interacts with each other, which gives the customers better service. You cant go wrong trying this place. There is normally a little wait but its worth it. We have had over the years most of what is offered on the menu so its safe to say we recommend this place..

Update:I will not delete my last post because it still stands, that manager Sahara is incompetent and I hope does not work there anymore. Yesterday I went for my nieces bday dinner, her choice to go not mine, and I can say the service was AMAZING by Sam. Poor guy was literally working alone, besides the cooks in back. He answered phones and brought drinks and took orders and cleaned, etc all alone. The AC is out there so it was pretty warm, but not too bad. He gave great service and was so respectful and prompt. I will definitely go back if he is there. He is the kind of person that needs to be the manager there not the horrible lady that seems to be the main issue in all the bad reviews. Oh and of course the food was amazing, but was there ever a doubt! If I could give negative stars I would. The food at the establishment is good.. But the staff is horrible and not worth giving your money to. We went yesterday for a birthday dinner. My daughter was turned away because we had more than 6 people in our family. Not to mention we called ahead of time, told the female who answered (Derrionne) we had 11 people, and were told its first come first serve, NEVER told we wouldnt be served if more than 6, AND told theres a sign on the door, a door that was propped open and sign wasnt even visible. I walked in to just ask to be seated separately, and I didnt even get to the counter before Sahara (shift manager) put her hand up and said Nope were not doing it. Extremely ghetto and unprofessional. We were ok being seated separately, there werent even people really in there, she was just being lazy and didnt want to serve us. And her co-workers seemed like they didnt agree, but had no choice. Again we were ok with not being seated together, but the way she spoke to us was so rude and unprofessional. I get thats probably the only place she has a sense of power, but get over yourself really. Weve been to this place many times and service has gotten worse. Ill definitely make sure this establishment gets all the negative reviews possible and they know how this company allows their customers to be treated by a lazy, ghetto shift manager so badly. Do better boiling stop, youre going to lose many customers. I will say the only person who was professional and genuinely seemed like he didnt think we should be turned away was Mihkya, he seemed to be the only person with a sense of care there. 11 people turned away, instead of separating us and getting our business, during these times. Wow. We went on to spend a lot of money with someone else who deserves it, they welcomed us into their establishment and treated us so well.
