The Staff and owner talked the dog that got into the lard in the kitchen. They were so proud that they saved a stray dog and it was in the kitchen. Previously, my older sister found a roach egg in her food. I would avoid this place at all cost. The menudo was delicious. I love this place, but having a dog in the food was not good. They are good people just a lack of common sense.

Nice decor and signage thru out the restaurant, and everything is usually very clean. This visit was a disaster because a simple order of crispy tacos was taking forever, and 2 other tables got served before me. When the order arrived, I asked for them to put it in a box since I was running out of time. The young lady that was at the cash register was aware of the delay and charged me only 1/2 of the price. Yes, I will return thanks to the cashier and actions.

Went with my mother about a year ago. We sat by a window for better lighting, and the restaurant was infested with flies. We addressed this with the waitress, but she basically said thats just the way it is. We should have left, but we decided to order. The food took too long for the lack of quality. I ordered a burger, and my mom ordered a bowl of soup. Between swatting the flies I noticed my burger patty was literally one of those generic brand hockey pucks you buy in stacks of 40. Worst than a cheap backyard barbecue burger. My moms soup didnt have enough of her favorite ingredient. We have not gone back, and will not recommend it. Not even as a joke.

I would change my 5 stars to a zero if it were possible ,completely disgusted finding an insect in my breakfast this morning. The server said it was one of the bugs that hang out around the lights on the ceiling inside the restaurant but it looked like a baby roach to me! I did look up when she said that and did notice a plethora of dead insects inside the lights on the ceiling so it could have been a different kind of insect but either way its unacceptable for a food establishment .Server took my plate back before I even thought to capture a picture for proof but the person I went with saw it too. It was moving around still in my egg, I had to cover it with a napkin until the server came .

We sat down and it took 30 minutes before someone took our drink order... Then it took 15 minutes to get our food order and finally we got our food 45 minutes after we ordered... The waitress never attended us with drink refills we had to keep asking for us.... And we are regular customers at the junction at least 2 times per week without fail... This really sadness myself and family...

Hector Trevino has his group called Traveling Taco. He had his group there this morning and it was a great turnout. An excellent place to eat and great service. Everyone that attended loved what they ordered for their breakfast. We absolutely will return to Junction Cafe for the next Traveling Taco.

We had our Traveling Taco here at the Junction Cafe this Saturday morning and it was outstanding once again. We were here last year also. Our waitress was one of those that remembers everything so that was a plus and my menudo and barbacoa taco was as expected, just right! I wore my Cowboy bib so I didnt stain my shirt this time, oink oink. From all 17 of us, Thank You, JUNCTION CAFE, well be back soon.

This is the place to go for delicious Mexican Food. Great service and well mannered staff. The fajita botana was just delicious. Plenty to fill the plate. The enchiladas are something that you should try. The owners Mr. and Mrs. Fong have done a good job on keep this business respectable.

It s just not for me. We were in town for work and decided to pop in. I wish we went to a food truck. The chicken was bland and tasteless. I got a mixed fajita and it wasn t fajitas. Not the cut of meat. Not the flavors. Not the marinade. Nothing. It was just diced beef and chicken in a skillet with vegetables. Rice and beans were not notch to be honest.

The breakfast tacos are delicious, the tortillas are made by hand and they are large with 2 left more than enough. The oatmeal is also very delicious and without forgetting those bisques that are made there very delicious accompanied by a coffee. Our waitress Lucy was very friendly and attentive.

The place is very quiet, excellent to have a good time with friends and family and have a good talk. The food is very delicious, they have very good seasoning, the service is friendly and fast. Went after church, was crazy packed. Food took forever to come out. I ordered queso flamaedo, and it was just shredded white cheese, not fully melted in regular plate with chorizo, not authentic. Place was full of flies. Server took like 15 minutes before she even brought out the complimentary chips and salsa. Crispy tacos arrived soaked in watery, flavorless beef and dripping wet lettuce. One taco bowl didnt even have beef in it, just lettuce and tomato. Refired beens were super dry and crusty. Overall, just bad food and bad dining experience. I like supporting local businesses but this one probably wont receive a repeat visit.

Friend and I went in for lunch. We both had the lunch special which was baked chicken. It was delicious. And an abundance of food. I tried my best to eat it all, but I just wasn t able. Service was awesome. Very clean restaurant. I recommend to anyone. Dietary restrictions: They will serve no carb if you ask Parking: It s just crowded. This place is amazing, it has a very warm atmosphere. The tables are large and comfortable. The service from the staff is excellent, they served very well and were always attentive to the table and what we needed. The coffee is simply delicious For lunch we ordered some assorted enchiladas and a Menudo. Simply delicious, when we finished they picked up our plates and offered us more coffee to make us comfortable, a very good gesture on the part of the staff. The place apparently has a space for groups so I think it is quite convenient for groups of people as well. The views in the spacious inns are pretty good too.

30 minutes in and all I can say is the the water, lemonade and chips are ok. Friday night and you think management could do better to provide prompt service. Our waitress, apologized once and it seems that service is only provided to regulars. This place has been a Pharr favorite but fails to impress new customers. This will be the last time I come here for service at the DMV is faster than here.

Food was good, but our server went around grabbing our purses and making comments about how expensive they were. When it came to paying she over charged us and refused to let us pay at the register so we wouldn t notice the over charge. I have passed this restaurant for years and regret not stopping sooner, the food was delicious, I ordered the lengua plate and at first my lengua looked over cooked but once I tried it the lengua was delicious and not dry. The tortillas were perfect size as they were not the blanket size. Everyone else served, and they were really good. plate was well served, and the service was fast, and the waitress was attentive. I love the feel of the restaurant and decor. Only draw back is that the chips are not homemade, but other than that, Im excited to return to try something different. Nope, not going there again. Wife and I came to eat after church and let me tell you, we waited at our table for 5 minutes before we even got acknowledged by any waitresses. Then when we did, waitress gets our drinks order only to move on to next table of 6 and grabs their order making us wait even longer. We waited patiently for our drinks instead we just added our food order as waitress was walking past to speed things up but still had to wait forever and a day for our food. We finally get our food and find out that our food was microwaved! Cmon! We had burgers btw. They have signs that read good food takes time not the case at this restaurant.

Today around 4.30pm we arrived at the restaurant, the waitress came to serve us, she left the menu and brought the drinks. At that moment we ordered and we told the waitress if we can order a takeaway and she put in the second order until the food was almost finished. Hey, she put everything in and we were eating. on the run some tacos with a cold tortilla to leave because if the food they served was cold, the barbecue for 4 that we ordered was worse, very bad service
