This is our go-to bar. They take great care of us and our friends. Food is great and prices are reasonable. We come with a large group of people every Tues and they make sure they are staffed for us. Its definitely worth the drive from Rockwall.

Waitress was hot but had the education of a 7th grader, told me and my friends the menu had typos and the prices were wrong and then told us that beer was $3 and that 18 wings were $14. When we got our tab the prices were completely off and she said there wasn t anything she could do and then tried to gaslight us and tell us that she wouldn t change me for my last beer to make up the $15 that was off on my tab. Don t go here.

Ordered food to go yesterday, and was not impressed. Brisket was fatty and not a lot of flavor. Sides were small and no one liked the mack n cheese. Side of toast looked like thick sliced bread with some butter. They were very nice on the phone and at the bar, cool place with some outdoor seating. Several TVs, Pool table and Golden Tee video game. May go back for drinks but not the food. 12/2023.

I played pool and ate a chicken salad. It was good. 5 quarters to play pool. Small barroom tables. There is no room to shoot some shots.

Came for lunch on a Saturday. Bartender was server and was great. Brisket was good, not much smoke flavor. Sauce was tasty. Bacon Mac and cheese and cole slaw were good. Wife loved her baked potato with brisket.

I sat at a table for a good 15 minute and no one came over and said anything to me. Yes, they were very busy so I gave them some time but I work as a waiter so I understand the business. They had a sign at the door saying seat yourself but if you are going to have a sign saying that someone should say something to you to let you know that you walked in the door. Yes I came by myself but I feel that I am just as important as the rest.

Brisket and ribs were bland, not fresh and definitely not worth repeating. BBQ sauce blech! Mac-n-cheese: a 3 year old can do better! Tiffany was a fabulous server! Music was off the chain, Texas Flood rocks!

Last of a dying breed... All of the other local places similar to this, went to the wayward from all the new Invaders to Texas. Ive known this place and its owner for nearly two decades. Always the same great place, and always the same great people. I hope this place lasts forever.

It was a freaking good time in Sachse as the local heros of metal from Raid dfw and vein played some seriously blistering sets while a panoply of legendary characters from the surrounding areas in the 3 forks region. Especially prevalent were the east fork residents and local rogues with more stories about the wild ride each had enjoyed thru life to get to such a moment in metal lore as this show proved to be The char bar is now a place to be seen and the launch of seriously fun escapades throughout the local commercial sector.. love this place

Ask for a Med Rare burger to go. When I got home cut it in half and the wife and I could not remember when we have had a more perfectly cook burger. Just wish I had order Two. Great food and service !

Service was good. I couldnt eat because of the flies. Some girl was sitting at the bar swatting the flies. Disgusting! Atmosphere was even worse. Smells like smoke in there. Will never go back!!! What a joke.

Planned to go see a band that ended up canceling, so the house band stood in.... no offense but with so many great bands touring DFW, Char Bar may consider expanding options. At many points during the songs, no one in the band would be playing an instrument but there was a drum or guitar solo playing over the speakers. Is it karaoke? The drinks didnt look like the photos in the menu and food was okay but took awhile. Still a fair bit of wasted space, and only staff to greet us was the bartender - we walked right past the manager on the show twice but she never looked up from her beer bottle.

The Char Bar and BBQ is single handedly the greatest thing that has ever happened to the service industry! The food leaves nothing to be desired, a whimsical journey for your pallet that will not disappoint. And that bartender Jordan, my goodness, what a good looking gal. She takes the art of mixology to the next level! She slings drinks just like she slings jokes, quick and efficiently. She ll have you feeling like a $100 bill with her Apricot Mule while you pee your pants from all of the laughter. She s so talented that she ll be featured in their next comedy show!!! I wish I had two extra hands so I could give this place four thumbs up- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Well this our first time here after the bar rescue.....not good at all. We first got here sign says seat yourself so we did. We were then told we needed to more to the actual bar area because the area we were in by the stage was just for an event. So we move to the bar area then we were told 3/4 of the menu was out for the night.....wont be back

We heard the restaurant was going to be on the show BAR RESCUE, so we went to check it out. After the rescue, it was still awful. Not only do they not have any beers on tap, but they do not serve any local brews even in cans or bottles. The menu is limited to begin with, then when we placed our order, we re told our item was only available on special occasions. (Although not noted so on the menu) The chips in our brisket nachos were clearly stale. Very. The cheese was fresh out of a cheese whiz can. The brisket was .let s just say .not up to par. We ordered the pulled pork plate. The portion of pork was very very tiny, and more like pig knuckles. I literally have nothing good to say about the place. Even the barstools were wobbly, and the bathroom was disgusting. I would ve hate to have seen it before the rescue, we surely would ve ended up with food poisoning.

Entry to restaurant was blocked by a group of bikers outside smoking. I am a smoker myself but that was ridiculous. We were one of two tables eating. Waited 30 minutes for them to even acknowledge us. They seemed confused over two separate menus. One had strange typos. We waited another 20 min for them to tell us they were out of BBQ. An hour after that we ended up with the worst nachos ever. The chips were soggy and the cheese was the cheapest stuff you can find in a can. We just paid the very over priced bill and left.

Well bar rescue clearly did a terrible job and needs to go back. Maybe 5 people in there and while we were playing golden tee the table by us waited over 30 minutes for food, then were told they were out of what they ordered. Decor is ehhh... ok but wasted space and terrible service. Nope and nope.
