I sat at the bar. The bartenders (man and woman) were inattentive. I waited at least 10 minutes before someone greeted me and asked, How may I serve you? After ordering my food and drink, I had to ask for chips and salsa. When my food came out, no one followed up to see if I enjoyed my food, or asked if I wanted another drink when my glass was empty. Bartenders kept going back and forth to the kitchen. They didnt bother to check on anyone. Customer service was very poor. Ill have to go to another location for awhile. That was unacceptable.

Food great. They don t have a clue about Happy Hour. Happy Hour is half price at other restaurants I have been to. So they shouldn t be saying they have Happy Hour when I call before I went there. Their rewards program sucks. You pay $25 to get a $25 rewards. They didn t tell you that when you signed up and charging it your card. Taking my business somewhere else. Military veterans be aware of what happens when they tell you they have a rewards program. Too many people work hard for their money to be giving it away on paying $25 to get $25 on a rewards program.

I sat at the bar for an alone birthday lunch. It was a beautiful experience. Would like to thank the two kind gentlemen behind the bar, Zavier and Luis, they made my experience amazing. I had soup and margaritas and it was the perfect place for it. I always come back. Dietary restrictions: I am on a liquids only diet and Luis was kind enough to retrieve a cup of soup broth for me.

Generally food is good in this place. This location proved me that I shouldnt be coming here, tried 3 times. Sat at the bar spend 10 to 20 minutes waiting for someone to give me a menu or even ask what I want to drink until I walked out. But if you are black they will take good care of you. People came after me sat down got their things. People sat on the other side got their things. If you are white or look white, they take for ever to give anything. It wasnt only with me I saw it happen. Felt I had to raise my concerns. I didnt eat I just walked out since I didnt feel welcomed.

So I was with a party of three and I havent been to this particular location before Ive been to one of the locations on the north side of Houston and I definitely dont remember experience such a awful experience. I will say that the general manager person they did comp my food. But aside from the waitress just blatantly not putting the right sauce on the enchiladas when she gave the order to the Cook I didnt go in there for free food I went in there for good service and experience. But the other people that I was there was when they received their fajita plate I dont think Ive ever seen a restaurant send out basically raw veggies on a fajita plane and then when they took it back it took over 15 minutes to cook the vegetables a lot more done and then they came back basically charred which is not well done. And it doesnt take 15 minutes to charge vegetables. It just makes me wonder how hot the heat on the stove was. But I will say that two of the managers that we spoke to they were pleasant at a basic level. But India she was very stuck up snobbish and could probably tell if she didnt want to be there. It was extremely uncomfortable and I dont think she should be working with people. Ive been working with people for a long time and I would never treat our table the way she did. I did feel kind of bad that only half of my companions Meal was comped when in the reality of things theyre Meal was what took the longest to come out cuz I had already gotten my plate back from the mistake and Eaten half of it

2nd Visit- Awful!! We came today and we had the fajitas for 2 and cheese enchiladas. We asked for a white wine sauce on the enchiladas- had to send them back to get corrected. We asked for the vegetables to be well done- had to send them back to be corrected too. What made this experience so awful was because of the reaction of a manager person, India- at least that is how she portrayed herself- there is Never a reason to be argumentative and condescending with a customer!! All we wanted was our food to be the way we ordered it and when it had to be sent back because of our waitress s error- that it not take 15-20 minutes for it to come back to us!! Andrea- the general manager- did apologize and try to correct the situation but being spoken to as I was by India, comping some of the food wasn t making it all better as suggested. I don t know that this location will be some place to come back to is now. Very Sad!! This was my first time here. The staff was great and our waitress gave us the history of Grengos. The food tasted good but the best was their fresh Salsa! We will be back.

This is one of my favorite places to eat and sometimes they get it wrong! The curbside guy said the kitchen got my other wrong after I waited 30 minutes for my order. After nearly an hour of waiting I received my food, went home opened my bag, I was missing half my order. Very disappointing to have to go all the way back to the restaurant to pick it up.... the point of this post is to always check your order before leaving.

I have been to this Gringos several times. Dining in is no problem. The problem is the take out area. Very disorganized. The employees are lazy and dont want to fix the problems that they create. For instance, my brother went to pick up his order. When he gave them his name, they said it wasnt in the system. He then asked if he could tell them what he ordered so they could look it up that way. No answer. He suggested that they look at the orders that were already sitting on the counter. They wouldnt do that. He finally asked to talk to a manager who went through the orders sitting out and found the order under another name. My brother was livid. Needless to say they let him keep that order and made a fresh one for him. But its just the principle of the matter. Stop being lazy!

I would rate this restaurant 3 stars. The service and food were good, but I encountered an issue. While getting ice cream for my dad and myself, I laughed at my cousin because I made a mistake. I ordered beef enchiladas and was given cheese. My lunch party was finished eating and my meal had not been brought out. I asked if it could be made to go. I was told theyre making it fast. But my party was ready to go. I was brought a hot plate and was told to eat a little bit. I ve been here 3 times now. The food is always on point. I sat at the bar while waiting for my takeout and they were cleaning. It smelled like straight bleach. I asked the bartender If he could turn a fan on bc the bleach was making my chips taste like bleach. He said there s no bleach in it. Then I asked another bartender if she could turn a fan on to get the bleach smell out of my face but she flat out ignored me. I tipped well over 20% but didn t appreciate being ignored or lied to. Server was nice so stars for him but the food was horrible. They had a limited menu which was not good. I wanted a salad and the steak bowl was just cheese and rice with a few small pieces if meat. It really was too much fake cheese, really gross. Ate 2 bites and left. Wont be back. Probably one of the worst Mexican restaurants yet. Food is utterly disgusting. We frequent this location and it s usually terrific. Service was great today (Friday lunch) at the bar but the limited menu for Cinco de Mayo weekend was awful. The black bean side was undercooked- not the beans, but the onions and tomatoes were raw. There was a thimble s worth of pico and guac with the quesadillas. It came with 3 slices of jalapeños, lol. The seafood enchiladas were a couple limp, flat tortillas barely filled with yellow cheese topped with four or five TINY shrimp and a few crawfish tails in cream for $18?! The ingredients for this dish could not have cost more than two dollars and that s generous. I get the limited menu for the start of such a busy weekend, but we didn t remotely enjoy our meal so on our drive home we were left wondering, what was the point of this $80 meal? We will never go back during a Cinco de Mayo weekend.

I came here Monday evening and sat at the bar. The bartender Brooklyn was amazing! She was friendly, attentive and one of the best service experiences I ever had. She deserves a promotion!

Service #1 great food and atmosphere. Our server was on top of it . This only happens when they hire the right people and dont over stretch them for too many tables. I wish I was a local because this would be a regular spot for my family

Out of all locations this is the best one I ve experienced. I only order to go but i still walk inside to pay and get my food since they often times seem to be short staffed. I get the border sampler and so far i have not had issues with subbing out certain items.

My best friend and I went for early dinner and our server, KYLA, was very attentive, polite, and had full conversations with us! She is an amazing server! Great experience!
