The gumbo was mediocre for the cost , served with sugar spoons. It had tiny shrimp and miniscule sausage pieces. The margaritas were also tiny for the cost. The bread pudding was outstanding. If I ever went there again, it would be for the bread pudding, only.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant on the west end. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming including management. Love Charisma she is my call waitress when she is there. Their food is always amazing and love all of their specials that they change often. Keep up the amazing customer service and I will see you with the Southfork CDJR group soon.

We go there very often and the food is very good. They also have very delicious specialties includes the drink of the day. Im writing this post because on this particular Friday they were out of my favorite IPA beer but they did have the best bread pudding in the world available. The manager there name Lew, that came out and greeted us and asked was everything okay. I mentioned by the draft IPA and he told me what happened to the draft machine. When he realized I was one of their favorite customers, he said he would get bottles in until the machines arrive. Thats what I call loyalty to the customers from a real manager and by the way our server which is name Ashley, is very great. We have had her many times before and she does her job well. So if you hungry for great seafood and cold draft that is when the new machine get in. The food is great. How advise anyone thats hungry? I am shocked that this would happen in Houston. It was after the hurricane and I walked it and I saw that they were busy so I had no problem waiting until someone could help me. What bother me was someone finally came to help me when some white people walked in and then they had the nerve to sit them in a booth first and then we still had to wait another 5 minutes before we were seated. We gave a 5 year old with us. This is crazy.

Weve been visiting this location for years but our frequency has increased since Mauricio has been there. Im a pretty picky eater and anytime I needed my meal to be a certain way, he obliged without any hesitation or attitude. I stopped going to fish City for a while because the service and food were declining but Mauricio must be helping to improve things because my meal was delicious and priced well. I got the seafood pasta from the specials board. My husband got the same but as it. Well definitely be visiting more often!

Great stuffed flounder stuffed with shrimp and crab. It was delicious and great portions! Charisma was our server. She was great! Did a to-go order for some crawfish, corn, and potatoes today and I must say, the food definitely does not disappoint. The crawfish was seasoned to the point of hurting my face, so of course it was perfect. The corn and potatoes were fantastic as well. Most of the crawfish were so big that you could get meat out of the claws too! It was less than $12 to get a pound of crawfish, 2 potatoes, and 2 corn on the cob and it took maybe 10-15 minutes to make. I rate this place a 10/10!

Food is overpriced! Their redfish is $30 and its not even the whole portion of fish. When I questioned the price I was told Saltgrass redfish is $31. I looked up Saltgrass menu and say the redfish entree with 2 shrimp and crab meat butter sauce. So theyre imitating Saltgrass but they give you a smaller portion of fish and 2 small sides. AND THE CRAB MEAT SAUCE IS BETTER BECAUSE YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE CRAB MEAT, AND THE SHRIMP IS JUMBO SHRIMP. FISH CITY GRILL CRAB MEAT BUTTER IS JUST SAUCE! Fish city grill started out being a neighborhood seafood restaurant with reasonable prices when someone didnt want to pay for a upper restaurant like Saltgrass. SO NOW I GO TO SALTGRASS AND PAY THE $4 DIFFERENCE AND I GET BREAD & BUTTER, SALAD, 2 SIDES AND THE WHOLE REDFISH FILLET WITH THE 2 SHRIMP AND CRAB MEAT SAUCE AlL FOR $31 VERSUS $30 FOR FISH CITY GRILL SMALLER PORTIONS.

Ill give it 3 stars mainly due to the spiciness of the food. Everything was tasty, but unfortunately, it was too spicy for us! The pasta with chicken and shrimps felt like a fire, and both the gumbo soup and shrimp grits were overly spiced. Despite enjoying spicy food, these dishes were way too intense. There was no mention on the menu, and the waiter didnt warn us either.

I ate here two weeks ago on a Friday. Great service, very attentive. I like the pub atmosphere, very cozy. I was very disappointed with the food. I ordered fried calamari, a cup of gumbo, and a shrimp po-boy. The fried calamari was bland. If I go somewhere and see calamari on the menu, Im getting it. I know my calamari. The gumbo: Ive honestly have only tried gumbo at 3 places in/around Houston, including this one. This one was the worst. The shrimp po-boy: underwhelming. The bread had a peculiar taste. I dont know if its an issue with the brand of bread used or the way its stored but Ill give this place the benefit of the doubt that the bread just happened to be off that day. It was pretty busy that day so Im sure there are other dishes that are delicious at this place.

This was my first time at Fish City. From the moment my brother and I arrived, we felt welcomed and all the staff were pleasant. Our server Vanessa was absolutely awesome! I wish more servers were like her. She kept checking on us and was very knowledgeable of the menu. She even gave us samples of the soup and the oyster nachos. She was just very accommodating. Before I get started, let me say that Im giving Fish City Grill its rating based on my taste and observation as well as my husbands. Now, we had the Smokin Hot Shrimp as an appetizer. Excellent! I ordered the Blackened Rockfish and Shrimp with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes. The only take a day from this plate is that I would have LOVED a little more blackened seasoning on my fish. Thats it, so it was a very succulent meal. Next, my darling husband was happy with his Blackened Seafood Pasta. By any means, this rating doesnt reflect in the score. Hes not a fan of salmon. He tried it but its a no for him. He wishes the sauce was more creamy. Other than that, were coming back!!! Bye byeeee!

As a member of a social group, I have the responsibility of getting a dinner table once a month at a restaurant. Our group chose Fish City Grill for the month of August. When I called the restaurant, he told me he could not make reservations and could not tell me what his workload is on a Tuesday night. The best he could do was tell me that I could call 15 minutes before and he would tell me if he might be able to seat us. This was unacceptable to me as some members of the group drive 45 minutes to meet for dinner. With the decline in dining out, I would think a sure thing of a large group would be attractive and would also allow advance notification for staffing requirements. He lost a good ticket!

Not impressed at all with this. Im from the South and this is nothing like Southern Cuisine. I ordered a two combo of fried catfish and oysters. I had ONE filet of catfish where the breading was falling off and not really seasoned. I wanted charbroiled oysters and got stir fried oysters instead. The cole slaw is not appetizing at all! The experience at this location started off bad and never really got better. My wife and I got there about 15 minutes before happy hour was over so we could both get a drink and some oysters. We sat outside and waited almost 10 minutes for our server. They were not that busy, so Im not sure why it took so long just to get the initial greeting, but at least it was before happy hour was over. I ordered raw oysters, and my wife got the chargrilled ones. When the sever brought them out, they made both orders chargrilled. When he took them back, it took forever to bring out the raw oysters. For entrees, my wife got shrimp tacos that she described as wonderful, and I ordered 3 pounds of their spicy crawfish. There was a mixup in their kitchen, so the server was only able to bring out one pound, and he said the other two would be out soon. I completely finished the first pound and still no more crawfish. I just asked for them to make the other two pounds to go.

Every time Im here, I try something new & Im never disappointed! The inside can seem a bit small & cramped when its busy and it gets LOUD. They also have a patio. Its a bit small, but they have umbrellas if its sunny and some outside seating along the side of the building that gets shade. The service is good (this last visit we had Excellent service! Oyster Nachos NEVER disappoint!!!! Service and food/entrees needs MAJOR improvement. Atmosphere is a nice vibe. Quality has be come a non-factor. This was one of my favorite, restaurants. Service food and atmosphere was at least a 9.7 collectively. Now its just giving, Were just existing.

I love a place with some flavor ! So from the door: the staff could be a little more welcoming, especially since the place is kind of small. I smelled the crawfish from across the way so I had to try them. Did NOT disappoint. I got spicy and listen, if you dont like heat dont order then this way. I loved them inspire of my raging lips. Whew. I was so torn on what to order because so much sounded good so I went with a burger. I know, boring but it was good (I dipped it on the crawfish juice) but yes. Really tasty. My waitress could have been a little more attentive but I understand that she had a large party to attend to. I will be back to try more items.

The take-out people were not friendly. Think I was Interrupting them. The guy leaning on the counter even said he did not have my order. The catfish defently tasted like bottom feeder meat. The crust is amazing. But I suggest Mississippi Cat vs Alabama. I should have went with the cod. Shrimp was small but good and so was the hush puppies.

When we walked in, there were about 4 people off in the distance just standing behind the counter. We just waited there, no one greeted us. We were eventually told we could pick a table, by one of the waitresses, who turned out to be pretty nice. I ordered the salmon and crawfish pasta. The crawfish tasted dirty and the salmon tasted a little funny. I can deal with things that arent that great, but I dont play around with fish, I had to send it back. I ended up getting the fried catfish basket, which was just okay. I work nearby so I may try some of the other menu items.

Loved the crawfish and shrimp tacos. The sweet corn was SUCH a pleasant surprise and the server (at the bar) did a great job balancing everyone that was calling on him at the same time. Parking: It s in an outdoor mall so there s plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: There were happy toddlers dining with their parents so I can vouch for the kid friendly atmosphere.

The whole experience was absolutely terrible, today was my first time coming here and I am NEVER coming back. From start to finish my family and I were very polite, I don t know why everybody here as such poor mannerisms. There wasn t any greeting at the door like how they treated the other costumers, we didn t receive any recommendations on where to sit, my family and I chose our own spot ordered our drinks just to receive them and for the waiter to never cone back! We waited 20 minutes; our waiter just kept passing us up proceeding to treat us like we didn t exist! Until another customer noticed how we were being treated and gained the manager s (Juan s) attention. He asked us for our order and made the young server write it down for us, and even offered to give us free dessert to make us feel better. Whilst doing this he stated, I m sorry this waiter just got here a few minutes ago. Which we understand, but we still shouldn t be treated with disrespect. After our orders, we waited ANOTHER TWENTY MINUTES! Just for us to watch the waiter serve another table that came in after us, treat them with respect, offer them menu recommendations, hand them their food etc. Yet just received a kids meal fish fingers for a toddler. We waited TEN MORE MINUTES then my mother and I received our food, but then, we didn t receive enough food! The serving size was too small! We received approximately a handful of french fries, and three fish sticks with two hush puppies. We ordered a dish from the menu that was called Fish and Chips. my mother didn t even eat the food. She just wanted a to go box and waited for me and the rest of my family to finish eating. However, when we asked for that to go box from our waiter, while my mom was speaking to him, he did t let her finish her sentence and walked away while she was speaking. WE HAD TO ASK FOR OUR CHANGE. He just put it in the middle of the table and walked away. The restaurant was not even busy. There were maybe four tables they were serving at the time. We had to ask the host at the front door for a to go bag. However, the bag wasn t like the bags others received. We got a cheap plastic bag while everybody else had a paper bag that had the logo of the restaurant on it. Upon leaving, the host sarcastically asked if we enjoyed our time. My family and I politely walked out of the door, ignoring his question. My mother called to leave a review, and I m leaving one here to advise you, please do not come to this restaurant, you are just going to waste your money.

The customer service here was amazing. It was easy to find and park and it had a great menu but the food was just lackluster. Some times too seasoned and other times not enough. The soups and chargrilled oysters were good but the entree of stuffed flounder was pretty lacking in flavor.

We wanted to get a drink and a bite to eat and decided to stop in Fish City Grill. We really didnt have any kind of expectation but were pleasantly surprised by the food and the drinks *get the lemon basil martini*! The plates were surprisingly elevated considering this is a spot in the Pearland Mall. I got the stuffed flounder and it was cooked to perfection .. nice crispy outside that was not dry or over done with a good seafood stuffing! The potatoes are thick and hearty and the broccoli had a nice lemon butter drizzled on it. My husband had the grouper sandwich blackened and said it was tasty. We will be back and check out their happy hour specials!

We were in town visiting our daughter. Found a couple of seafood restaurants on line. Arrived at the first location and wasnt feeling it. Went to Fish City and it screamed US. To our surprise they were giving Veterans (which husband is) free entree. Nice area outside for dinning also. Even customers nodded and smiled. Staff pleasant and ready to please. GREAT FOOD

Fresh seafood, exquisite presentation, quick and pleasant service. What more to ask? They ask you how you are doing even after the checks are given. Big thank you to the crew who served on Veterans Day. They were professional, courteous and kind despite the onslaught of orders.
