Great place for a walk, bike ride or jog. You might even see a deer while on your trip. Dog-friendliness: On a leash dogs are always welcome Picnic area: There are a few places along the greenbelt where you can stop and have a break or picnic.

Love living close to this wonderful trail! Beautiful wildflower fields when you first enter the trail at the sign. Very enjoyable walk when its not very hot out. Lots of nature and wildlife. One side of the trail goes to a couple of nice ponds and under Legacy towards the shopping center on Eldorado. The other side of the trail feels more wooded. It leads to a nice large pond with viewing areas. There are plenty of parking spaces on the street. Towing enforced sign for parking in the community pool lot. One negative is there occasionally is a golf cart, dirt bike or other motorized vehicle zipping by on the trail. Makes it a less enjoyable experience. If Im not mistaken the playground and pavilion belong to the Shaddock Creek community.

Finally found a public park that has Ducks, trails and easy parking in Frisco. Recently moved here and very frustrated with the lack of public parks. All these subdivisions have private parks and no shade tree parking! This little park has a covered small playground. Which is good for hot days. Several tables and benches. Its next to a (wait for it) subdivision private pool. The trail is paved. Has plenty of benches to sit down and rest along the way. The small duck pond has 4 ducks and one crane. Plenty of large stone rocks to rest and watch the ducks on. Several signs giving information about the wildlife and type of plants. Very short, scenic, peaceful area! Not a lot of people in mid morning! I highly recommend it! Just maybe my favorite Frisco public park!

Nice trail. Love I can easily walk to it from my house. Others have already mentioned the trash. It s tough I m sure because the gutters of 3 neighborhoods flow into it. People think it s ok to throw trash into the street gutters but it ends up dumping here. It s really noticeable in the winter during dormancy.

This is a great cement trail with lakes, birds and bat houses. Dogs are allowed and many people are out running, walking and just enjoying fresh air. There is at least one covered picnic table and several plaques showing birds in the area, etc.

The Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt was one of the reasons our family bought a house in the Shaddock Creek Estates. We really enjoy the walks through the greenbelt and its ponds. Since this greenbelt has a very natural look, it feels you are walking in forest instead of manicured city park. We have spotted bobcats, coyotes, hawks, and 1 beaver before (in addition to countless frogs/toads, field mice, turtles, egrets, ducks, etc.).
