Our first time visiting and it was such a nice experience! We asked the young woman at the drive through what their most popular donuts were, cause we hadn t been and wanted to try, and she picked out a variety for us free of charge. We were not expecting such kindness! We also got breakfast tacos. Everything was delicious! Will definitely come back and make this a go to spot for our family.

This morning, I had a rare craving for breakfast, so I decided to order from Penas. Unfortunately, I was left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. I usually go for the fried egg and cheese croissant, and I really shouldve stuck with that. Today, I tried the Penas Classic, which includes pancakes, eggs, and a choice of meat. I also ordered a side of grits. The pancakes were far too thick for my liking, and I didn t enjoy them at all. The eggs were standard, and I added cheese with one turkey sausage patty on the side. But the grits were the biggest letdown they were so runny they were practically soup, with no flavor at all. I ve never had grits so watery and tasteless. As someone who rarely eats breakfast, this meal just reinforced why I skip it!

Visited here with some friends. They were very welcoming and patient, as there was a lot to go over on the menu. Once we figured out what we wanted, we walked up and placed our order with ease. The service was great. There was a lady walking around picking up trays and attending to the customers dining in. The food came out fairly quickly and was delicious. I had a breakfast burrito and a donut....how could I not get a donut. And then I tried this thing that starts with a K. Apparently its a big thing in Texas. It was stuffed with cheese and meat. It was equally delicious and a must try! Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to visit when in Houston!

Penas serves the freshest, always hot double meat best burger & seasoned fries combo in Pearland. It also serves my lunch favorite chicken fried chicken. Their menu covers so many breakfast & lunch traditional greats, including Katz wonderful coffee. Of course, their featured pastries are my Wifes favorite & they are truly generous with the large selection of featured donut creations. They most important is their wonderful & tentative staff that makes you feel like you are at your own familys home even while dining out. I do not frequent peñas as often as I should, but when I do, the experience is truly remarkable. The food is consistently fresh and served at an ideal temperature - I took my order to go and drove five miles home, and it was still too hot to eat right away. My go-to choice is the bacon, egg, and potato taco or burrito. The tortillas are generously filled to the brim. I am at a loss as to why I do not visit peñas more frequently.

This is a must visit! ************* I had huevos rancheros- really good sauce and nice eggs. Good portions as well. The bacon I must mention in particular- this was the nice, thick cut, peppered variety- and it was cooked to perfection!! The doughnuts looked great. Ill have to return to try them. Wish I could have given them a 0 star rating. Ruined my Mothers Day breakfast. DO NOT DO DOOR DASH FOR THIS PLACE!!! I ordered $70 worth of food for me and my kids who wanted a stay-in Mothers Day breakfast. After waiting 1 1/2 hours, the driver left 3 donuts and a tea on my doorstep. I called the restaurant. They quickly blamed the driver and told me it was not their problem. The manager was extremely rude. She basically dismissed me with an oh well attitude. Then I called the driver and he said they handed the order to him and that was all there was. He refused to go back and get the rest. I finally called DoorDash and they eventually agreed to a full refund. Never will I ever again do business with Penas. They dont know the definition of customer service. I live 2 minutes away and they could not arrange for the situation to be corrected on Mothers Day. I truly believe it is their fault for handing the driver an incomplete order. Who mistakes 1 little bag and a tea for a $70 order!!!

Favorite breakfast on this side of town. My family has been eating at Pena establishments for nearly 30 years. Great breakfast tacos or burrito. Best sausage kolaches, hands down. Wide array of donut options. Then there are dozens of other hot plate type options and wild things like donut hamburger. Can get full quickly on weekends, so be adaptable to eating outside, if youre wanting to dine in.

April 27, 2024 As always the food is delicious and service is fast, even though it seems to always be busy. There is outdoor seating for those nice Houston days. One of the best parts of coming here is being greeted by, and chatting with, Josie. We of course will be back. December 16 2923 Always fantastic. It s a little loud but it comes in waves. The counter staff is pleasant and the food comes out in a timely manner. Never disappoints. Photo is from today December 17. Our granddaughter thought this was cool. Breakfast is always yummy and donuts are a staple. Last review March 2022 We were looking for another breakfast place and found this gem. Came in a Sunday morning and the place was hopping. Even though there was a revolving door with take out orders we did not have to wait a long time for our bacon, egg and cheese breakfast tacos. Tacos are tacos but these had real chunks of bacon that you could actually see and taste! Very yummy. We will be back.

Heaven is a very accurate word to describe this restaurant. I came to this place earlier this morning after not having eaten here in a few months, and the food is still phenomenal and very delicious. They have it all. Excellent portion sizes, juicy perfectly cooked burgers and really good french fries, a multitude of donuts and other pastries that make the whole restaurant smell like a 5 star bakery. My new favorite items are the Bacon Burger and the Apple Fritter. The maple bacon donut is awesome too, you walk into Donut Heaven, you should definitely purchase a maple bacon donut. The food is spectacular, I cant stress that enough. This place has given me the best cheeseburger I have ever had in my entire life! Food this good will change the trajectory of your day! Penas Donut Heaven & Grill also has excellent customer service. Every time I come to this restaurant the waitresses always treat me with kindness and respect. They all have a very warm and inviting attitude, and they are very enthusiastic to successfully take your order. This place has really good hospitality. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. We go to Penas ALOT. The donuts are fantastic and fresh. My husband LOVES his breakfast burrito. I love a sausage egg cheese bagel sandwich, but alas not from Penas. I ask for extra extra extra toasted (you know...browned?). They have NEVER been able to toast a bagel. Its like its warmed only from the egg and sausage put on it...which makes it super chewy...its gross to be honest. Not a biscuit fan, but i have to get mine on biscuit because im pretty sure their toast isnt toast either (can you call it toast if its not toasted lol). Anyway, otherwise food is great, owner and staff really friendly.

My only complaint is they dont check the bag before sending you off. I think this place is great! 1. The food was better and more than I expected 1.5 the pastries looked delicious, coming back for a cinnamon roll, or a few for sure 2. The staff was great 3. They had specials 4. I can see this place becoming my goto café when Im working from home n wouldnt mind some slight people chatter and laughter in the background 5. Been eating at Donut Heaven for over 3 yrs for at least 2-3 times a month. Ive tried Catfish, Philly Sandwiches, burgers, their dinners and donuts. I pass up the green beans, theyre too mushy. Its an excellent place to eat. I dine in and sometimes do take out. Because pastries are made fresh each day, theyre half price at 12 noon. The amount spent depends on order. The most has been $38 (2 persons) least $15 (one person). I highly recommend this place. FOR UH GRADS, OWNER IS A UH COUGAR...GO COOGS

The dining area is kind of loud because of the concrete floors and glass front wall. The donuts are adorable. I cant say how they taste (gluten allergy) but my husband and granddaughter love them. Attractive corner location. 0730 Walked in to witness three employees engaging in blissful conversion even in employee saying I only got an hour of sleep, neither of them acknowledged my presence. As I stood their looking up at the menu behind the counter, a lady walked in and was immediately welcomed and taking the order. I brought to the employees attention that I have not been helped. The guest apologize and innocently thought that I was waited on. I let her know that it was okay. I ordered in. But my name was called for take out. After realizing I was dining in the employee brought my order to the table the same as she did for two gentlemen seated at the table next to me. I went to Penas today, for the first time I got the Ultimate Southern Biscuit and hashbrowns my Mom got the Pena Classic. I cannot begin to describe how great the food is my mother who is 81 considers herself a superb cook couldnt stop talking about how perfectly fluffy and buttery the pancakes were. The bicsuit had to be made from scratch and the chicken breast was marinated to perfection. Our waitress was Josie she has one of the most beautifulest spirits I have encountered. If you are in Pearland looking for an excellent breakfast spot you must stop at Penas for the food and stay for the excellent service and atmosphere. I have definitely found my new favorite place.

I for sure gave it a quick try thinking to get coffee, this was absolutely a brunch type breakfast at 9 am. For sure the quality and price is to make your a life better. Never felt it an over priced menu or I should say it was very way lower in price for the quantity and quality compared breakfast places near by. I for sure recommend this place to anyone for a great breakfast, I tried their ultimate Southern Chicken Biscuit it was fully loaded with love and filling. The brisket tacos were small and a little disappointing for the price. The taco had like a sweet taste but shoot when your hungry, you will eat it. You need atleast two for a medium size person.

Vibe- This is a nice small business to support! They sell donuts, tacos, and more. They have a nice area to sit outside and a good amount of seating inside. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got flour tacos with potatoes, mushrooms, avocado, and refried beans; they were so good! Parking- There s a good amount of spots in the lot the restaurant sits in.

Happened upon Penas on the way to Frobergs and it was a great breakfast pit stop. Their specialty tacos were delicious, I had barbacoa and brisket, and the hash brown patties were perfectly crispy. My partners tacos were okay, elevated by salsa. Would definitely stop by again to try some of the donuts that looked real unique.

This has been our family s favorite brunch place. The kitchen is very generous when assembling the breakfast tacos. Makes it well worth the price! Their barbacoa tacos are also one of our favorites. Aside from tacos, we always get their specialty donuts, but make sure you come early. Donut options are limited after 11am. Our all time favorite is the strawberry shortcake donut!

My wife and I have been coming to Peñas for the past four years. During the pandemic it was our go-to spot and we ve eaten over a thousand dollars worth of food spending time chatting with the owner in the parking lot and hugging his sister on the patio. We were ordering so often at one point we always had Peñas in the fridge and stopped cooking breakfast altogether. We ve stuck by them through the rebrand and even discussed partnership opportunities for media placements through my agency. We consistently tip their staff (and Door Dash) 20-25%. But after the way my wife and mother-in-law were treated this morning we will not be returning again. My wife and mother-in-law were ignored when they entered the restaurant and at the counter when they tried to order food. There were two employees within view and earshot of their conversation, but they received no acknowledgement at all from the employees. Imagine their lack of surprise when a guy in boat shoes walks in and is greeted with a cheery chorus of, Good morning! I don t even have the words to express my level of disappointment or the hurt on my wife s face when she came home to tell me. There is no excuse for anyone being treated less than anyone else most especially long-time customers who heavily supported your business during the pandemic. I m so sad to learn that while the owners are great at making everyone feel welcome they have not done their due diligence to make sure their staff treats everyone the same.

Phone in order but was rushed off the phone without verifying my order. I was trying to repeat my order and she just said, ok, thank you for your order. And hung up. The donuts here are delicious! There is a wide variety of donuts and lots to choose from! I also love the Belgian waffles and are a great choice for a breakfast. And if you want a breakfast on the go I would recommend kolaches. But in all, this restaurant is awesome!
