We have been trying to give this place a try for months but our schedules have always been so busy. Today we finally took the opportunity to stop by and we were not disappointed. When we arrived we saw that the space is relatively small but not the smallest Ive seen. And the use of the space was efficient so that it was never too crowded or felt too busy. Everything we ordered was quite literally the definition of homemade. You could tell that each item was made from scratch and with love. The experience took me back to my childhood when my mom would make us a good southern breakfast. The authenticity was enough to praise this place but it didnt end there. The service we received was nothing short of top tier. From the right amount of attentiveness to the clear communication when there were any issues, we felt like our visit was just a important to the staff as it was to us. There was a slight delay in getting our food due to multiple to go orders being placed but in reality this wait was still much shorter than many chain restaurants. For the first time in a long time we left a food establishment with NO LEFTOVERS. Every bit of food was finished and we left with full bellies and a wonderful experience. I am so glad we were finally able to try this place and I can promise, despite this being out of the way and on the opposite side of town, well definitely be returning.

My expectations were low. I normally dont eat at home in the walls, but the reviews were good. I love shrimp and fruits and will try them anywhere I go. I saw they were in the menu. Total and complete disappointment. This place has a target audience I am not that person.

This is place is a textbook definition of a diamond in the rough. It is located in the same parking lot/shopping strip as a gas station. The food here was so flavorful. The staff are so nice, and on the off chance it is a slower day, even the cook comes out to bring you your plate and conversate. If you dont go early, they may run out of fan favorites, so dont miss out. Parking: Not very many parking spots, which could also be because they have very few tables, maybe 10 max.

Small little corner spot.. went thinking I was going to get some down home country breakfast and support a small business walked in no one greeted us, it wasn t packed at all, we wasn t told to have a seat, one moment, how ya doing, nothing.. we seated ourselves thinking at least someone would hand us a menu, nope still nothing, sat for 5 minutes, nothing I m trying to give folks the benefit of the doubt and not pull the race card but ummm yea, I don t know.. Wanted to try somewhere different for breakfast today, and found this place on Google. When I walked in the smell wasnt pleasant for a restaurant, smelt old and stail. Went to the bathroom and that almost made me really leave. But I said, what the heck lets give it a try. So my waitress was very friendly and had a great attitude. (Plus). The food was good untillllllllllllllll....... I saw a roach crawling on the floor. A pregnant one at that. While looking at the roach crawling it just really made me see this place is dirty. The floor had some type of droppings or something on it. I immediately became nauseous. Tried to finish (crazy) and out of my peripheral vision, I see 2 more roaches crawling on the wall right beside me. Babies... Where there are 3 there are hundreds. At that point I was done. I begin to video the roaches and I believe the waitress realized I was recording something. I just wanted the check so I could go home and throw that food up. The food that I did eat was pretty darn good, but wasnt able to finish due to my disgust. You guys need to clean this place up, fumigate and deodorize. The next person may call the health department and to me it is definitely needed if it will push you guys to address this. I wont post the video, to give you guys a chance to right this.

Not sure if this message will be read. Usually when I come to your establishment always great service. Today was terrible. I understand I came in at 1:25 pm but your sign said no dine in after 1:45. Walked in the lady with glasses was going off about a customer which is unprofessional. Nobody greeted us all we got was we are out of bacon, sweet toast and sweet tea. We eventually decided to leave because nobody offered us water or anything.

After a morning at the eye doctor heading back south of H-Town, we decided to stop for brunch. Saw this place, was on the way, and we hadnt tried it. So why not. I will say the pace is a bit unassuming outside, but Im here for vittles and they best be good. Start with a cup of coffee. Coffees ok - not the best Ive had but still good. Hmmmm sausage and gravy - lets see if they have tolerable biscuits. Well, not just tolerable but darn good. Yes, thats what makes the meal! Also had eggs over medium. Done a bit less than I prefer but perfect for my wife - both of us ordering it over medium. She likes em runnier. Bacon was cooked just right - bit of crunch but not overly crunchy. Definitely a place wed like to visit again when in the area!

This is one of the best local places to go for breakfast, brunch, or lunch here in Pearland, hands down! Not only is it owned and operated by a really lovely family, but the food is delicious . I used to go to eat at the more commercial locations, such as IHOP, Another Broken Egg, etc, none of those places even come close to the kind of meal or service you will receive at Country Place Cafe; also the atmosphere is super nice and homey, and the two ladies working there are super friendly and attentive to their customers needs. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal with a side of Southern comfort, I will for sure be coming back again! 10/10

Terrible experience. Can t comment on the food because we walked out after being ignored for at least 10 minutes. Nobody greeted us, we eventually seated ourselves after being ignored forever, the server just placed the menus on the table & walked off without saying a word. Number one the place is very small, parking lot full but most of all there was a GERMAN ROACH crawling right on the wall by our table!! My husband did kill it of course ! If you have one roach, you will have more than one, need to exterminate regularly please! The food was decent, nothing to write home about, the service was good, slow to get our food but we were ok with that. The fact the there was a roach there put a damper on the entire experience, I don t think we will be returning, too many other more convenient and more sanitized options in the area. As I am looking at other people recent reviews there is discussion about them seeing roaches in the restaurant. OMG! The food here was soooooo good! It was so good I forgot to snap a picture first! First off, this is your typical hole in the wall place. So at first look, youll probably be like uhhh no. But trust me, park and go in! The staff was super sweet and even though there were only two of them, they were very friendly and accomodating. They were busy because it is very small and fills up quickly, so it took a little for our server to stop by but when she did she was apologetic and we were ready to order. Our food was delivered by the cook. Idk if that is just how they do it or they were short staffed but we loved it! And did I mention THE FOOD WAS FREAKIN AMAZING! The restaurant has a country feel to it. There is seating for about 25 or a few more people, so the interior is small. Parking is limited. The food, to say the least, is amazing. The eggwhite omelet with onions, tomato, mushrooms bell peppers, spinach ham, and bacon I ordered with a side of warm salsa ranchera was all made to perfection. There is also something different about the grits that left me hungry for more. The grits were creamy and buttery the best I ever tasted. I also tried the crab cake on a half-English muffin on a bed of fresh spinach, topped off with an over-easy egg and sweet creamy butter sauce. It was very good, to say the least, They make the best fluffy pancakes too that I will order again on future visits. I will update my posts when I visit next time and try other things on their menu. Exceptional customer service. The jam was fresh (not preserved?) and food was cooked to order. They offered to refill coffee several times. Ample parking space. My only complaint is that there was literally one loaf of white bread cut into two. Wasnt able to enjoy the jam as much because of that so i took the jam to go which thankfully was already in a to-go container. Would come back to try the chicken and waffles we will see.

I really wanted to love this place. I came for the first time and found a table nearest to the register. Midway through my meal, a roach was on the table. I jumped and got up, told the young lady at register. She supposedly grabbed it but it was still crawling. Naturally I lost my appetite. She made a phone call, but I still had to pay for my food. They have a serious German roach infestation. I saw 3 roaches, 1 walking on the wall and 2 on the floor. We ended up getting our food to go and then throwing it in the trash and went to ihop. Hopefully I don t bring any back to my car or house because German roaches are notorious for that. The service was exceptional. A hidden gem, hole in the wall with good food. A page on IG I follow did a special on this place so I waited a week to go, drive 25mins and they were out of biscuits. I was disappointed but the owner was able to whip up 2 for me. They were so nice and friendly. I would suggest getting there early because they have been running out of biscuits alot lately due to the IG recognition. It also is very hot in there. Overall, great little local gem! The pros: - Friendly and attentive waitstaff. They wipe the tables down with Lysol wipes before you sit down. Silverware is rolled in napkins. - Order is cooked fast and brought out hot. - Bonus: Bacon is thick cut and a must try! - Prices are very reasonable. - Generous portions and condiments are provided. (Two pancakes are large enough for two people or two servings). Cons: - This is a very small restaurant, seats maybe 30 on bare tables and older chairs/picnic-style benches. - AC is lacking and it s humid. They have a portable AC unit going. - Location is the end-cap of a gas station strip center. Overall exterior aesthetic is not very inviting for a hungry diner, but see pros above! Neutral observations: - Country and western plays in background. - Parking is limited, but then again, this is a small restaurant. - New independent neighborhood establishment. We ended up at this restaurant because Cracker Barrel was jam packed. Thank God for that because we will not be eating at Cracker Barrel ever again after eating here. Food is amazing! The waitresses are southern queens, just the sweetest. My son who never finishes his food ate everything off the plate and let me know that from now on this will be our breakfast/brunch restaurant. It s a tiny little restaurant with a limited amount of seating. It doesn t look fancy when you park your car in the parking lot. You open the door and it s like 10 tables and you wonder if you made a mistake. Then the food comes out and your are swept off your feet. Don t pass this place up just because it looks small. It s clean and most importantly the food is bomb!

Great little place to have breakfast or lunch. I had the Easy Pasey. Two eggs, choice toast or biscuit, choice of sausage, bacon or ham and choice of skillet potatoes or grits. The price was not expensive but not cheap, just right. Dietary restrictions: They ask about food allergies.

For DoorDash order: Biscuits and gravy ($9.40) were ample and tasted like home cooking. Bacon egg and cheese sandwich ($6.75) was good with the egg overflowing the biscuit; cheese slice not melted so must have been placed as packing order up. Grits ($2.79) were a little dry so syrup and butter needed to moisten up. Egg scramble ($6.44) and omelette ($6.44) were small in portion for stand-alone entree. The side of skilled potatoes ($2.95) were usual skillet potatoes. Overall good meal with good prices. A couple of meal portions could have been bigger.

What a surprise! Small cafe that delivers big. We had several different breakfast options and they were all good. The biscuits and gravy were out of this world and I highly recommend. The biscuits themselves were huge, easily the size of a saucer. The chicken strips were so good, great crust on the outside and juicy on the inside. Everything delivered to our table was cooked to perfection. Give this place a try. Kid-friendliness: Several kids options very similar to the adult menu in smaller portions!

Aesthetically, inside and outside, its nothing to write home about. BUT, thats not what youre here for. Holy cow the food was SO good! We wanted some breakfast, but we werent in the mood for another chain restaurant. We saw the reviews for this place and figured what the hell. We both had the biscuit with pork gravy and scrambled eggs on the side. Oh my gosh, the biscuit was huge, soft, buttery, just everything you want in a biscuit. The gravy was equally amazing with wonderful chunks of sausage in it, and the eggs were beautiful and fluffy. I will 100% come back if were in the area, and sample the menu up.

The customer service is excellent. The amount of food given is very good and the prices are very reasonable. My family enjoyed the food overall. The food that I had could have been more seasoned. If you choose to dine in, the place is a little small but manageable. If I remember correctly, there were at least 9 tables. I ordered the food to go and it didnt take that long, probably around 10 minutes. Country Place is conveniently located right off of 288.

Not sure how this place got such a high rating. This is my first time here and I found it based on the high reviews. I still don t see how it got reviewed better then the more traditional IHOPs and Dennys. I wanted a more hometown restaurant and this is certainly that but they don t have things like whole milk. The wait time is significantly longer than the bigger chains probably because it s a small place. If you re looking for big pancakes, this is the place that was the best part of my breakfast.

Definitely glad we stopped here for breakfast! The homemade biscuits and preserves were so good. The omelette was the perfect size, the bacon was crisp but not dried out.
