9/10 place to have a nice dinner. The food was good. The ambiance was good. The service was great. Some will say its over priced but for us it was decent. Aside from feeling a bit of guilt from not having a reservation this is our new Friday dinner with the hubby spot. We had the ravioli de mare and shrimp Diablo. Both were delicious.

Our first time trying and we got take out since it s close to our home. I ordered the lobster ravioli for me and chicken Parmesan for my fiancé. Both were delicious and great portions, however, part of his chicken had pieces of cartilage in it. Obviously he didn t expect that and did not want to finish that piece but did finish the rest of his dish. I wanted to order the calamari as well but they ran out :( Ordering was easy, bartender was pleasant. We ll try it again but will dine in next time!

Delicious is an understatement. When Victor and I first met, we bonded over food. We nerded out talking about all things delicious and cooking. We both love to eat, love to create, and love to cook. Never being the most proficient Italian cook, I asked him for tips, tricks, and the like. His tips and tricks were not only helpful, but so so tasty! So you can imagine my delight when he told us plans to start this restaurant. We needed a great place to celebrate our anniversary so we knew just where to go! Not only was the food so so good, but the company was equally on point. If you haven t tried this place out, you need to! The aioli for the calamari was on point. The pasta was awesome. Dessert was divine. A little birdie told me that Victor himself made it! Don t walk. RUN! Vegetarian options: Plenty of dishes either with no meat or can be made meatless. Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free noodles. Parking: There s probably 15-20 parking spots easily. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of people were dining with children. Wheelchair accessibility: It s a brand new building with easy wheelchair assess ability.

To start, the food is good. Its well ahead of Olive Garden. We regularly visit Del Friscos, Eddie Vs, Luis Prime, Haywire and similar quality establishments. This place falls short in a couple of ways. First is the service. The staff is young and inexperienced. They never brought any bread to the table, while other tables around us got theirs without asking. After the appetizer they did not bus the table. The entrees arrived and were placed, yet the empty appetizer dish and plates remained for the entire meal. The second short coming is the value. The portion size on the lasagna is short for example, though it is 4 star good. Long story short, dinner for 2 with 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 pieces of cake and water for drinks with less than stellar service was $105 with tip. While the food is good, the undoing is the service and portions. Had this been a $60-70 visit we might return, but for $100+ its just not there. Food: 4 stars Service: 2 stars Value: 3 stars Atmosphere: 3

Come on out and support this awesome food with genuinely friendly and attentive staff! You must try the gnocchi! Everything we had, including the chocolate moose cake (forgot to get a pic!) was simply perfection on a plate!

Food is bland. Herbs are fine to cook with and all but it feels like the menu is scared of seasonings. Nothing wrong with powdered seasonings haha. The pasta was very bland; I couldn t find a pasta that doesn t only taste like butter with textures. Apps were great though. Bruschetta was awesome calamari was mid. The atmosphere is fine and service too, but the chicken from my gnocchi was missing after I ordered it. Had to wait 20 minutes for a 4x2 grilled chicken that I ended up scrapping since it was so bland. Stole a meatball from my sister as substitute and it had no flavor and bad texture. Overall food is not very good. The fengshui of the place set up isn t sensible either. overall, for a small place they are rather slow. maybe a staffing thing, but first experience wasn t great. Way too expensive for a kitchen scared of seasonings.

We live near La Rustica restaurant and have been hearing positive reviews on their Salmon in many places like Facebook neighborhood groups and in Nextdoor app. So I decided to give it a try. To my awe, the salmon here is truly amazing. It is perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I would say it is the best Salmon I have had in recent times. My husband ordered Chicken Piccata and it is amazing too. Also the ambience is pleasant. So glad to have this fine Italian restaurant close to home. We will definitely visit again !!!

It s not easy to find a high quality restaurant in the outskirts of the city, but La Rustica is exactly that-great quality food and a warm casual environment in the middle of Oak Point. The food is outstanding. Many dishes feature La Rustica s unique and remarkable marinara sauce, the measure of any Italian restaurant. The wood-fired pizzas are cheesy and delicious while the fried calamari is not to be missed. La Rustica s menu is diverse and has many options we are looking forward to trying in the future. It s rare to find a treasure on the burbs , but that is exactly what you will find in La Rustica.

The food was good, the servers were very attentive. The wait time for our meals to arrive was reasonable for a Friday evening. The only downside was the noise level - hard to have a conversation over dinner. Acoustics don t seem to be a consideration in restaurant design anymore - the noisier the better seems to be the thought process these days. Hard surfaces everywhere and no ceilings turn restaurants like this into noise boxes. If I m going to drop $100 on dinner I d at least like to enjoy a conversation with my wife while doing so.

Our server was excellent in explaining all the menu items, was very attentive to us and had some great recommendations. While it was a busy Friday night, we never had to wait for drinks, apps, entrees or dessert. Everything was executed timely (not too fast and not too long). We had a great conversation with the owners on the way out - great people and we wish them much success. We can t wait to go back!

La Rustica Italiano is a fantastic addition to the almost nonexistent Oak Point dining scene! Our first experience there was outstanding. The food is truly authentic Italian-American, with each dish crafted with care and bursting with flavor. From the handmade pastas to the wood-fired pizzas, and great desserts like cannolis, everything tasted fresh and delicious. They also have an impressive wine selection that perfectly complements the menu. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. A special shoutout to Victor and Jessica, the owners, for bringing such a high-quality dining experience to our area. Their passion for authentic Italian cuisine shines through in every aspect of the restaurant. I ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend La Rustica to anyone looking for an exceptional meal!

La Rustic in Oak Point offers delicious Italian food, with attentive and quick service. However, the noise level in the restaurant was quite loud during our visit, mainly due to a large group and some screaming babies, which really detracted from the overall experience. While I do plan to return for the great food, the acoustics definitely need improvement. Some sound-dampening materials would go a long way in enhancing the dining atmosphere.

Looking over the 1 and 2 star reviews and flat out need to ask if you visited the same restaurant... The food is amazing, portion size is great! and the staff is a mix of younger and older, but all very pleasant and helpful. This restaurant rivals just about anything in the region considering size, cost, location. Its not McDonalds people... (however they have one in the same parking lot). So be prepared to eat AND PAY accordingly. The restaurant JUST opened and like any business, has setbacks and learning curves. So dont plan on bringing your kids for pickups (there is no play area), paying low cost Country meal prices, and learn how to use OpenTable.. I get it, Whataburger doesnt require it, so its a new thing for some... GREAT JOB LA RUSTICA!

We went on a Monday at 630. We arrived and were seated immediately, our server came right over with water and greeted us. We each ordered a glass of wine and Bruschetta for an appetizer. The server returned quickly with some bread for the table. The bread was warm but not very fresh. It tasted more like sourdough than italian. We could see our wine was poured and just sitting at the bar. A manager finally walked them over after seeing us continuously looking at it on the bar. The bruschetta arrived and tasted pretty good but it was cold and the bread did not taste fresh. Our server offered an apology and we ate it as we were hungry. I ordered the gnocchi with a 4 cheese pesto sauce but substituted Penne and my wife ordered Mussels as her meal with a side of Penne. The pasta was overcooked for both of us and my sauce was very cheesy with no pesto taste. We ordered a second round of wine which never arrived, nor were we asked if we wanted any grated cheese. our server returned to see how we were doing and when we mentioned the wine, it was clear by her reaction that she forgot. Please keep in mind these are NOT complaints, just an honest review. Our bill was $98.00. For 2 glasses of wine, bruschetta appetizer, a Penne dish and Mussels, which although was my wifes meal, is listed as an appetizer. The restaurant and building are new and clean, but lacked any type of atmosphere or character. Our server was very nice but could have been more attentive. it was busy for a Monday but appeared to have plenty of staff. it just didn t impress us former New Yorkers of Italian descent. I wish the owners nothing but the best.

I had my 8 year old daughter with me and the young hostesses were unsure how to handle a to-go request so went to ask if I could place an order and wait for it. The lady that they asked clearly did not like that I had a child with me (God forbid!) and said that they could not take my order since they didnt want me and my daughter waiting at the bar. I understood that but I was planning to wait in the car until my order was ready. Highly disappointed in this place. Will not be coming back any time soon.

Let me start with the good: Great food. We shared a burata, had gnocchi and carbonara and finished with the tiramisu and all tasted very well. Hats off for the tiramisu. We will come again. Now some constructive critiques: - burrata: good taste but consistency was a little dry. A little creamier and cut open would be a better presentation. The tomatoes were cold. Room temperature would be preferred. Please also add more basil. - carbonara: please use guancale instead of pancetta. The preparation was great so staying traditional would be the way to go. The egg yolk was perfect - menu: assume it s because you are just starting but invest in a real menu. It s now a piece of paper. The number of dishes are limited. - service: was great but rushed. We were in and out in 45 min. Maybe it s because we are European and like to take our time. - seating: deserves some real improvement. We were placed in a corner on wobbly chairs and a wobbly high table. The floor is still pure concrete and not level. The better seating (tables, booths) were reserved per the host but quite a few never filled up. Maybe because we were walk-ins? It made us feel pushed to make a reservation for our next visit. - temperature: it was hot - After dinner drinks: not available. Hope next time we can enjoy a grappa or limoncello with some espresso. All in the spirit of helping make this place super so we can give you 5 stars.

I recently visited La Rustica, hoping for a great experience given that it s the closest non-fast-food option in this area. Despite the place being packed and having many waiters, there were a few communication gaps among the staff and inefficiencies in the ordering process, leading to slow service. Our drinks took a while to arrive, and the bread offered didn t come promptly, adding to a sense of disorganization. We ordered a pizza and Pasta alle Vongole, but the pizza was partially raw underneath, and the pasta was slightly overcooked and nothing special. Given the $30 price tag for the pasta, I expected something exceptional, or at the very least, something memorable but it wasn t . When we mentioned the undercooked pizza, the waitress kindly removed it from our bill, which was appreciated. However, a mix-up with our second round of drinks further highlighted the communication issues. The ambiance was average and not particularly memorable, making the high prices feel unjustified. While the staff was friendly, the overall experience was disappointing due to underwhelming food further highlighted by above average prices, and a lackluster atmosphere. I hope the restaurant can address these issues and improve in the future. Sadly the combination of price vs quality has resulted in me not wanting to return.

Now, considering it is a new restaurant and the manager did come by and asked about our experience and I can tell she was genuinely interested in how they could improve, which I appreciated. The Gnocchi was under cooked and wasn t very thick. The Bolognese was extremely dry and not presented well. The salmon dish was the size of an appetizer with some cream around it. The wine was sadly the best part. Hopefully they can make some adjustments after opening and feedback from customers.

**Review for La Rustica Italian** Our recent dining experience at La Rustica Italian was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the wait staff, whose excellent service set the tone for the evening. The food was a delightful journey through classic Italian cuisine. The lasagna was layered to perfection, rich with cheese and a flavorful meat sauce that left us craving more. The chicken piccata was equally impressive, with tender chicken breasts simmered in a tangy lemon caper sauce that balanced flavor and freshness wonderfully. The spaghetti and meatballs were a comforting, hearty dish, with meatballs that were moist and seasoned just right. For dessert, the tiramisu was an indulgent treat, light and creamy with the perfect hint of coffee. The cannolis were a crispy, sweet ending to our meal, filled with a luscious, creamy ricotta filling. A special highlight of our visit was the opportunity to sit and chat with the wonderful owners, who made us feel like family. Their passion for food and hospitality was evident and added a personal touch to our dining experience. What made our night even more special was our granddaughters enthusiastic approval. Her delight in the food was a testament to its universal appeal and deliciousness. La Rustica Italian provided us with an unforgettable dining experience, marked by incredible food and outstanding service. We look forward to our next visit!

We live in Oak Point. Dining choices are very limited (except fast food). So we were super excited to see this little Italian Bistro go in just down the street from us in a little strip of shops - made sure we were there for opening day. Our observations/first impression: Super attentive and friendly staff. There were a lot of staff, still getting a feel for the place themselves it seemed, attentive and just the right amount of visits, just when we needed them. Wish I remembered my waitress name, a 19 yo seasonal college student, she really made the dining experience pleasant by being genuinely helpful, kind, efficient but not hurried. The atmosphere is what I might call casual fancy. It s a nice place. You can dress up if you want to take your special someone out on a date (like us); you can come in casual if it fits your mood and you ll be just fine. Not a huge place, but somehow it seemed privacy for personal conversation was part of the vibe - much appreciated. Comfortable hangout spot. The food was very good, but a few things could be better. Salmon for her was cooked just right - but could have been seasoned and presented better with a side somewhat plain for the almost $30 price. My chicken Marsala was also good - but a little short on the mushrooms and Marsala sauce. I especially liked the salad appetizer with house made maple walnuts, plenty of cranberries and just the right amount of dressing. The Tiramisu desert at the end came out cold and still mostly frozen not the way it is meant to be. Full bar, generous wine menu - tasty Manhattans for us both and a smooth Cab for her with dinner. I wish this place all the best. I sincerely hope it becomes a thing here in Oak Point - a simple, fun gathering place for the community. I give extra latitude for some slips in the food execution because they re still new and getting their feet on the ground. Looking forward to making this a habit. Overall, well done, especially the service, on our first day visit! Buon Appetito! Update 1: I noticed someone else posted a picture of their salmon in which my concerns about uninspiring presentation were addressed. I posted a picture of our salmon as context for the others photo which notes the improvement. Also, I mentioned the same presentation issue with the Chicken Marsala, which you can see in the background of the photo below. Another diners photo shows their Chicken Marsala and that La Rustica has adjusted and made this dish as Id expect as well - it looks delicious. Which just confirms - they are listening, adjusting and getting better as they move along ... (!!) I know this is going to be a good one.

La Rustica Italiano is cozy with an upscale atmosphere and even better..is it close! Its clear theyre still ironing out some kinks, that is to be expected as their concept is novel to our area as well as being brand new but I have no doubt this place will thrive. The food is good each dish we tried had authentic flavors and made with fresh ingredients. From classic pasta dishes to the kids menu; everything was beautifully presented, fresh and served well. The space is small but, nice! Did not feel small, at all. The bar space was welcoming and full of laughter. They had TVs going, as well. Nice wine menu! The service was friendly and attentive, it was evident they were still finding their rhythm (again, expected). It was a smart move to have reservations, solely for the first couple of weeks to be able to iron out their flow and ensure future success. Kudos! A couple of things to note for families, kids meals dont include drinks or sides theyre sold separately. It will end up being $20/kid if you add a side and drink. Also, ordering butter noodles with meatballs incurs an upcharge for meatballs, unlike spaghetti and meatballs which you can request without sauce and save $4. Lastly, it was a bit surprising that bread isnt served with your order or any dish. They do have bruschetta you can order, though. Salt and pepper is not on the table, either and no kids menus printed. In case it is helpful; we had the calamari, chicken parmesan, lobster del mar, kids butter noodles with meat balls, kids spaghetti and meat balls and 2 sodas. The total was $100. We dined in for a birthday and they comped a desert which was very sweet of them and appreciated. With the above noted, in all honesty; it wont be a family spot for us with younger kids (they need bread with their Italian meals and a menu/coloring to distract them) but, I do for-see La Rustica Italiano becoming a go-to spot for romantic evenings close to home or, a girls/mens night out for a drink. The atmosphere, seating and menu is perfect for a cozy date night. We look forward to returning and watching this restaurant flourish. Excited to have you all here and I hope this review helps inform others/ gets more people in the door with clear expectations for their meal! Parking: we dined in for dinner on day 4 of opening; 7pm and we had to park in the back which was fine, it is a short walk.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first experience at La Rustica! I ordered a pick up order as a last minute dinner decision. When I went in I was greeted and directed to the bar where I enjoyed conversation with my neighbors in the community and Spencer working the bar, and a really good glass of red wine. I ordered the Lasagna and a side of asparagus which was packaged neatly and was delicious. I will be back

My husband & I came to La Rustica on their first official open day. We made a reservation through OpenTable & although we ran 15 minutes late we called & they were very kind about accommodating our fashionably late arrival as the hostess gushed after giving me a thoughtful compliment on my outfit. As expected, food took a little longer, but our server Mads made sure to keep us updated and was very communicative about how they were all learning together & for a newly opened restaurant with an entirely new team who is all learning their stride it is was impressive. From the hosts, to the server assistants, to our server & the floor manager, Victor. For the less forgiving patrons who like to push their glasses up their noses while giving unsolicited advice, who think Starbucks is where you get the best coffee and have a particular asymmetrical bob, maybe hold off on a visit for a month or so while the edges are filed down. For those who are actual & true aficionados of good restaurants & good food, I can 100% guarantee you will love to experience this unique expression of GREAT true to form rustic Italian comfort food made with heart that is actually independent & not cookie cutter like so many of the area restaurants on the north side of the lake. Vegetarian options: Many options are vegetarian or can be made vegetarian Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta & pizza available Wheelchair accessibility: No steps

My goodness gracious I am so excited and elated to have this gem in Oak Point now! The service and attention to detail was spot on for opening day. There were some downside with our wait times for food and the AC but outside of that the food was AMAZING. We skipped the appetizer as the one we wanted was out and got the Tuscan salmon and spaghetti and meatballs. Both of our plates arrived hot and fresh and had amazing flavor and taste! The meatballs were seasoned and juicy and the cream garlic sauce with the salmon was divine! The asparagus was sautéed with a great flavor and crunch. We got the tiramisu and finished it all there. What an amazing opening day for this restaurant!

Overall a great experience at the grand opening! We ordered the Spaghetti & meatballs and the Fettuccine Alfredo. Both were very tasty!! Service was fast and friendly from the minute we walked in! The only slight downside was that I think the A/C had trouble keeping up because it was pretty toasty and their thermostat said it was 85° in there. We will definitely be back many many times as it is right across the street from us! So excited to having such a wonderful new place in Oak Point!
