I ordered a Nike shirt for in store pickup. I received my order and opened the bag to find a hole in the back of the shirt near the collar, so I asked for a different one. When they brought the second shirt to me, I realized that the hole is from their security tags. The second shirt had the same hole. They are ruining clothing with their security tags instead of putting them on the garments tag or using a tag that doesnt require them to pierce the garment. I asked to return the shirt since I dont want one with a hole in it and was told no, I cannot return it because I had just picked it up. This Academy isnt close to where I live. There is no store near me, but I was forced to take the damaged shirt home, and Ill have to find a time to drive back there and return it when they decide Im allowed to, I guess, and spend more gas money and time to return a product that they damaged. The cashier was awful, too. You could tell she hated working there.

Its the largest Ive ever seen at any of their stores! Theres something for everyone, from beginners to seasoned pros. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the sheer size and variety. I used to shop here a lot until an employee decided to approach us twice about my child who didn t have a shirt on after we finished swimming. He approached my child first when I was in an aisle across from him and never asked about speaking to his parent. We just ran in real quick a few minutes before they closed to get him some shoes. There is no sign posted anywhere that I could find regarding a no shirt policy and there is no online policy that I can find. He s a child and we weren t bothering or disrupting anyone. I guess I ll be taking my business elsewhere and we spend a lot of money on sports equipment .

I was about an hour from home when me and several others needed to take coverage from a tornado. The employees at this location were so kind and the store was super clean! Not only did they get us to a safe location in the store, they offered us free water and even tried to keep the small children entertained. If they could be so kind and considerate to a group of non -customers , I can only imagine how great they treat actual customers. I highly recommend checking out this location and finding out yourself!

We just moved to the area, and as we are sports people thought it would be cool to sign up for a store card, with all the benefits! The store people are all friendly and nice, but they must get a great kickback from flogging never ending credit cards to unsuspecting customers! DO NOT MAKE THIS SAME MISTAKE, IT WOULD BE SMARTER TO SIGN UP FOR THE FOREIGN LEGION AND EASIER TO LEAVE You get charged to buy nothing, as you can see from my recent message. Why i am being charged $2 minimum interest charge when my balance is $0? I paid $76 balance last month for zero purchases, phantom interest charges and 2 late payments charge of $35 on nothing. I am missing something or is this case? I am charged $2 minimum every month regardless if i have a $0 balance, or leave the country? If I do not pay this phantom interest charge on time i will be charges $35 every month for late payments fees on a $0 balance If the answer to both of these stupid questions is yes and please see the credit agreement you signed stupid! Then I am fine with that just please cancel my card immediately you have my full agreement. I will also go and rent Rainmaker this afternoon too! No wonder you are called Academy, you would have to have severe learning difficulties to continue to pay MONEY FOR NOTHING YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR NAME TO DIRE STRAITS, because this is the only place your company is heading with this pathetic and blatant exploitation. Sort of a scaled down version of Scheels or Bass Pro Shop, theyve got everything from fan gear to sporting goods, ammo, active wear, and everything in between. We came in for the Grassfed Tallow from Fatworks. They are a supplier for that brand. Pricing was great, and it was nice not having to wait for delivery. Checkout service was slow - even though there werent a lot of customers, but it was still a positive experience.

Went in today to purchase a fire arm and was assisted by the most unprofessional staff. The employee that was assisting me was clearly new or just didn t know anything. In the portion where I had to answer some questions before I could purchase anything I was misguided by the employee. After he rudely and unprofessionally yelled across the department that I couldn t ask my wife for any help only him. When I proceeded to ask for help he gave me an explanation that corresponded with me giving an answer that would be incorrect. After completing the questions he proceeded to tell me I got that question wrong and now would not be able to purchase a firearm through that system for 30 days. Later I found out through the manager that no one was allowed to even tell me what question I got wrong. I didn t want to argue in the store because of the attitude that the manager came after me with. He was also loud, rude and unprofessional. Absolutely do not recommend purchasing a fire arm from here. Better off going somewhere else with a more educated staff.

We went to look for a good fit of new shoes for hubby. I usually try on and then shop online to get for great price. We were served by Carl in the shoe department. What an amazing guy, he solved our problems and sold us not one but 2 pairs of shoes. Brooks for support $139.98 and Sketchers for comfort $89.98. He was so pleasant and informative. We got a bike for my 10 year old, since they had some minor adjustments in the fitting (not done right the first time) we left it in the store for their assembling folks to fix it. It was there with them for a week with no updates or any word on the bike. Finally I picked it up, I was going to fix it myself. We get all out meat smoking supplies here, love the B&B brand charcoal and oklahoma joes accessories. Surprisingly they have the best deal on Louisiana brand fish fry powdered batter. They are reasonable on these big containers of seasonings for grilling, smoking, boiling. We also have found great deals on their clearance shoes. My favorite pair of aesics was an impulse buy from their clearance. We love these camp chairs with shocks (rocking chairs) they are durable and so easy to transport.
