They did a wonderful job with this park! Perfectly located on the east side of New Braunfels, with an elevated view of the city, and the hill country in the background. Great facilities, clean bathrooms, splash area for the kids, lots of shade. Large, paved walkways and trails. And beautifully landscaped with indigenous plant and tree species in abundance! Multiple entrances. There is also a nature center located within the park. All of this built around a large water tank/pond. I used to fish this tank when I was young, long before it was transformed into this nice oasis on the edge of town.

My kids love the sandbox/ archeological dig. Its the only thing they want to do. We got there at 4:45 p.m. on a saturday....plenty of kids, but all the digging toys and archeological toys had been put away. Two wormy- looking park employees were hanging out in the glass- walled classrooms talking, first one, then the other, till even after we left at almost 6. They were literally dressed like feminist safari peace corps volunteers. The kids were using hands and sticks to dig with, while all the really cool toys were put away. And why do we pay these people? To do what ?

Great park! First time exploring the lake and Dino dig areas and really enjoyed it. The landscaping, walkways, picnic tables and restrooms were all kept very clean. Made our way up to the playground and splash pad and enjoyed the rest of our time there. Everything is well taken care of and loved by all ages. I really appreciated the mom/baby swing when my little was smaller. We saw the park rangers pass by a few times and always felt safe.

This was a nice park, but I didnt like the bathrooms! Or how they cleaned them if they did. It didnt have a lot of bugs so I was happy about that. The park was clean otherwise with no glass or anything on the ground. Unfortunately the water they play in is literally ICE cold so you may want to dress your little one in long sleeves and swim. Parking is free

Although the kayaks have to be rented from them. Cannot bring your own. There is also a dinosaur digging sand area. Bathrooms are always clean. Playground: Very fun looking. Recently added new items. Also have a dinosaur digging area and a huge splash pad. Toilets: Always clean. Have 3 bathroom areas. Dog-friendliness: Lts of dogs here. Always on leash and friendly. Fischer Park is the lesser known park in New Braunfels. Two ponds with fishing allowed and a canoe launch in one of the ponds. A very nice paved hiking trail and splash pad & padded playground for the kids. Personally, Fischer Park also has the best view of New Braunfels from its hill top location. Add the butterfly attraction and discover area, this Park is great for kids and adults. AND? There are many picnic/cabana setups. Its not far from restaurants but I would suggest picking up your food and eating in the park. The hillside view allows you to watch the sun rise and set beneath the redoak tree at the top of the McQueeny Rd entrance.

Great place for a walk, picnic, fun with Littles, star gazing, and basically like the best place to go see over New Braunfels. We went to 4th of july one year, the blood moon this past summer, and a few events they have had. As a family the guys like to go fishing so they drag us down there with the duck poop everywhere, but its always a fun time. Pretty sure my older one has made out with his gf there, there always seems to be kids in cars. Adults in cars too. Its well lit in the evenings and theres so many people Im the mornings walking pets.

The park is a great place to bring your kids and just spend the day. Plenty of pavilions and picnic tables. The restrooms were always clean and stocked with paper. The walking trails are pretty nice if youre looking to get some exercise. And the kids love the playground. There is sufficient amount of parking but if your looking to be able to sit in the shade in your vehicle that will be a little more difficult. There are a few spots that are shaded but not many. Toilets: They were kept very clean and always had toilet paper. And there were a sufficient amount of them located on the property.

My granddaughters love Fischer Park. Its a meetup spot for my kids, their kids, their friends, birthday parties and the splash pad!! The kids love the playground with its swings, slides, huge climbing ellement with ropes and bars. Theres also a playground for the smaller kids so nobody gets left out. There are interactive music stations for the kids to ring bells, play a giant Xylophone and to hear sounds different notes make. Dont worry parents there are plenty of benches and shade. The splash pad is a water world of fun with sprinklers shooting from all sides and a massive water bucket that fills up, tips over and you guessed it, dumps the water out!! Theres walking paths around a small lake were you see people fishing off the dock and having a good time. (Sorry no swimming allowed in the lake) The park is also animal friendly. Come by with the entire fam and enjoy. Bring lunch, play with the kids and cool off at the splash pad. Theres plenty of parking, restrooms, water fountains and for sure theres lots of FUN!!

Playground: A safe place for kids. Also, needs constant parenting monitoring. People who dont watch their children could regret the decision. Toilets: People need to understand, if you dirty it, clean it. If we dont care about other people, maybe, you should talk more to God. Dog-friendliness: Great place to take your baby. Dogs are friendly with other dogs. And humans. If you have a fierce dog, dont bother bringing it to a friendly dog park. Picnic area: Reservations are needed to use the picnic areas. Please check with park employees.

This was my first time here and Im so glad I went. They have a nature center, a classroom area, a huge sand pit that they call the archeological pit, a cute pollinator garden, trails, tons of wildflowers, bat boxes, informational plaques, a water and playground area for the kids, a pond with ducks and places to picnic.
