Tried a number of dim sums and taste rubbery and seems like it has been sitting in the cold for a while. Shrimp dumplings was sticking to the paper at the bottom. Tableware was dirty. One of the worst Chinese restaurants from my experience in DFW.

It tastes good, and many of the dishes I have tried are delicious. The barbecue and dim sum are better than other restaurants in the Arlington area. The chicken feet are more delicious than those from Qilin Pavilion. However, there is often a shortage of waiters, so weekends are a little better. Its usually very slow. I ve seen customers leave in disappointment after waiting for a long time to be seated at the door, and people standing angry while waiting for payment Best dim sum and siu mei/roast meat restaurant in south DFW, trust me I ve tried all of them. Service can be extremely slow.

went in on a Tuesday around noon; it wasn t busy at all. I thought the table cloth was a fluffy cloth; until I realized it was probably 60 plastic table cloths laid on top of each other (probably for easy clean up) The best thing was the chili oil on the table it was actually spicy! The dim sum was alright, I m only comparing it to PHL/NY dim sum. I was excited for the chicken feet but it wasn t that great Good, but I ve had better. The shumai were big though. $6.50 for 4 big pieces. The tripe was good, I just wished it was cut smaller/thinner. 9 large size dishes for $64 Not something I would put on my must eat dim sum in DFW, but would go if it was the only place available.

I put everything as middle of the road (three stars) because I dont know the quality of food. The hours posted for the restaurant is correct. However, if you come for DimSum, then that kitchen closes at 8pm each day. I came in at 7:30, expecting to try their DimSum, but couldnt because the DimSum kitchen closes early at 7:15 p.m., and they dont serve any after 8pm. The host was nice and suggested their dinner menu, which that kitchen was still open. But I came for DimSum. So I left disappointed l

I catered from the Pearl and rented their Ballroom B for my wedding. I worked with Steve and Adam from the Pearl when coordinating the setup and essential rentals for the wedding venue. They are AMAZING!!! It was extremely beautiful without decorations and the atmosphere was very regal. The food that night was so delicious! All my guests had high praise for the food and the cake was also phenomenal. Seriously, it is an amazing one stop shop for wedding venues. Not only that, Steve and Adam provided professional service and replied timely with all my questions and needs. They also provided expert advice for my venue and was a huge part in making it successful. I highly recommend The Pearl if anyone is looking to book a wedding venue! Make sure it s with Steve and Adam! They re both wonderful and really want to help make anyone s wedding memorable! Shout to Steve and Adam! Thank you for helping my husband and me have a successful wedding!

They had all my favorites: chicken feet, soup dumplings, egg tarts, and, a new favorite, mushroom shumai! Definitely recommend, will be back to try the Peking duck! (Also sorry theres not more photos, was too hungry to wait lol)

Texas 2024: Destination #6 6/17/24: My friend treated me with our kids here for lunch. Highlights: 1. Spacious seating 2. Ample parking lots 3. At least four variations of shiu mai for dim sums (pork, chicken, shrimp, quail egg filled) 4. Chicken feet is very spicy and flavorful. If you are used to eating hot spicy Thai and Vietnamese food, then this would be great. Not recommended if you have low tolerance level for hot peppers. I love the chicken feet here. 5. The Hong-Kong style egg custard has the buttery and flaky pastry texture. My son and I like it. 6. Server was friendly. Cons: 1. Service overall is very slow. I literally had to stand up and get the server to come take our beverage order after thirty minutes. We also ended up having to cancel an order from the menu since the wait was just too long when its not even busy or packed full on a weekday. 2. The sticky rice wrapped with grape leaves was not impressing. It was filled with plain pork meat and lacks seasoning. I have tasted better savory sticky rice at many other dim sum restaurants. 3. Ha cao shrimp dumplings are big but the skin is just too thick. My little man loves ha cao. He ate three but told me he doesnt like the thick skin. He usually is the one who loves to eat the ha cao skin more than the shrimp filling. Dim sum quality was just okay, lacks selections on a weekday. There are some chef special items I hope to order ahead of next time but unfortunately, due to the slow service, I am not sure if its worth coming back to give another try.

We came here on Sunday around 11AM and luckily there s no line yet. The food was served fast, staffs were very friendly, taste was almost like what I had in Hong Kong, price is reasonable for four people. I ll definitely come back again, please keep the good quality!

Read the reviews about service being horrible . They were right. I figured I d give it a try since the food is good but service is bad . oh man food was not good. My dim sum had the same flavored.. flavorless. The shrimp in the pao was a bit off. As for the service there is no service. It takes a minute for them to take your order. And it takes much longer to get your food, which I assume it s cause the food is freshly made. When you receive your food, good luck getting a refill. Or even waving a server down.

Sadly say goodbye to The Pearl. The Pearl is off the list of a few of good Chinese Restaurants in Arlington. The food and service quality are going down tremendously. The price goes up by at least 20% and food taste is totally different from what we ate before. The service is little to none. The food cooking and preparation is rough. Must be a change of ownership and/or chef recently.

MAKE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILLS, THEY WILL OVER CHARGE YOU!!! Yesterday 1/15/2024 around 3:30 pm our groups of 11 adults and a 4 yrs old kid went to Pearl Restaurant. We ordered off the menu since we just missed the din sum carts. The fried rice was cold and stale like a left over foods. The soup was decent, could be better, The lamb chops was ok. The din sum was fair. The service was minimal. We ordered 6 sake for celebration with our out of town relatives, they said they only have enough for 4 but gave us only 3 and a half, the sake was suppose to be warm but it was cold, when we mentioned it, they pretended not to hear us. We were told $7 per small serving bottles, when we got the bills, we were charged $84.00 for 4! when confronted they changed the price to $32, they said it was $8 each. They also charged different fees and 25% gratuity! our total bills was over $600, after subtraction of the over charge, it came to $538. We still feels that we were charged too much for everything! DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! THERE ARE OTHER DIN SUM PLACE WITH BETTER QUALITY AND SERVICE OUT THERE!!

The sesame chicken was really good! Overall I still had a great experience with the two items we could eat from dimsum and the menu. Overall I would come back again just to order from the menu.

Seated quickly. Food was average, some of it notably cold and mushy when it should not have been. I am only writing this review to express my dissatisfaction, however, with the egg custard buns. Cold, stale and dry, you bite into these and the custard is solidified on the bottom with a large hollow in the middle. Chalky when I tried to swallow the bite I took of it. Went to the Hong Kong bakery next door afterwards to restore my faith in buns. Their yellow buns were tasty with fresh custard and a nice supple bun. Thankful to the friendly folks at the Hong Kong bakery!

We waited for one hour for our food even though the restaurant was mostly empty with 10-15 people. Waiting an hour would not be a problem if everyone NOT was getting their food before ours. These couple sat down 20mins after we ordered and they got served water multiple times, received their food, and additional food before we received a portion of our food. It s like they forgot about us completely. We never got water refills or our side rice that comes with sesame chicken. We will not come back. Parking: They had a concert so it was difficult to find parking. We had to park in front of the super market and walk to the place.

The dim sums were great. But not the buns. If you have a plan to visit, I do not recommend buns and juicy dumpling. It is located in Asian time square. Felt bad for him because it was an accident, but now, I smell like curry something, and I m far away from home. Noticeable that staff here keeps changing and we don t come often. Oh well. I use to work here , the food use to be so much better when chef Ron worked there . I continued going hoping it would get back to its golden days but no if anything it got worse . The staff have no idea about the items on the menu and the recipes were changed. So even I no longer knew the menu. One day I invited my family and friends to have a nice Lunch together to catch up. One of my friends has a seafood allergy. So every item I would ask to make sure no seafood was in it so we can avoid an allergy . Everything started off fine then I asked for a xiu mai. When chef Ron was there he added shrimp to it so before I would ve told my friend don t eat that since I was 1000% sure it had shrimp . Due to the chef changing and recipes changing I no longer knew if it had seafood so I asked the waitress just to make sure . She assured me it did not . I asked them to please ask the chef to make sure . They continued to say it did not have seafood . We believed them and my friend ate it. Shortly after my friend starts to get an itchy throat. Because we started to get suspicious of a medical emergency I asked to speak to the chef to make sure . They refused to bring him out . Instead the manager came out and not only did not apologize for his wreckless waiters but did not offer first aid for my friend clearly having an allergic reaction and blamed me for not knowing the menu changes after chef Ron left the restaurant which keep in mind I stopped working here before chef Ron quit . He then tried to blame me after I clearly said we asked to make sure . Refused to help us so we had no choice but to take my friend to the hospital due to his face swelling up. That manager needs to be fired and the restaurant sued for almost killing my friend and causing his pregnant fiancé that is in her third trimester and was present during the incident for emotional damage

Went here on a Saturday for dinner. Excited for dim sum & there were many options for entrées overall. There were a few of us with a variety of dietary needs such as shrimp allergies, vegetarians, etc. We havent been here before & the lady who took or order was nice & took the time to explain the portion sizes for several items. Dim sum wise my favorite was the shrimp & pork shumai & pork buns. The beef chow fun was really good! We did order soup dumplings which were a little dry (my cousin had them here before so it mightve been an off day) & the broth in the wonton soup couldve used a little more salt. In regards to the soup, I do like things a bit more salty so it might be a personal presence... my family raved about it. This is a review of course so I want to be honest, but know everything else was good! The restaurant is nice, with soft lighting which is nice because its not super bright but not dark... sometimes I feel thats an issue with an ambiance. I really want to comment the staff in their service, they were also quick & food came out fast but it didnt compromise quality. The restaurant is also clean, including the restrooms. I feel like I must always point these things out, when you are busy & have all this traffic flow AND you maintain the cleanliness of a restaurant thats a big plus. Give them a try, for sure you will enjoy it!

The Pearl hands down has one of the best dim sum menus in DFW. The menu is varied and full of options. A must try with the chili oil and white pepper powder! On weekends, the servers walk around with carts full of freshly made dim sum for you to choose from. If the dim sum you are looking for is not available in the cart, they will make it for you. From the regular menu, we had chicken corn soup, Yang Chow Fried Rice with extra beef, and lamb chops. Even though I was not a big fan of the sauce that came with the lamb chops, the dish was okay overall. The fried rice and soup were on point! The pictures are from my many different visits there.

My experience was extremely awful and I highly highly suggest anyone to not go and eat at this restaurant. I sat down I ordered some Breaded fish filet and I didnt like it I told the server I didnt want it he takes it he tells the manager that I didnt want the meal and so instead of saying OK well take it off your bill Im sorry that you didnt like it the manager comes over accuses me and says if you dont like it you shouldnt have ordered I told him that was very rude of him to come over here and tell me that instead he could have given customer service. So I told him I dont want it Im not paying for it because I didnt eat it and I just want my bill so I can pay for the drink that I had and I can go. Instead he wanted to argue with me about a meal that I did not like which I found very disgusting. Do not go to this restaurant its nasty, the food is disgusting, and the server was unttative and the manger I assume extremely rude.

Went to try this place out with some friends. We had 3 small children that do not eat that food so we decided to buy them something else from the same shopping center where this restaurant is. When they saw us walking in with 3 corndogs, they immediately said we could not bring outside food in. We explained that all the adults were going to order from them and the outside food was for the kids. They decided it was ok for us to take the food inside but said, you can bring the food in but the kids cannot eat it in here. You can take them outside and they can eat it there . REALLY? Take the kids outside their restaurant and once they were done we can come back inside? Terrible experience that has never happened anywhere else! Of course we walked out of that place and I will never go back!

Deteriorating service and inconsistent quality of food- just overhyped. We used to frequent Pearl, but our last experience has ended our loyalty here. Having to already wait about 20 minutes for a table, we waited an additional 40 minutes for any server to respond or acknowledge us and surrounding tables in the back, and the dim sum carts never made it back to the area. Additionally, while waiting for said table, I found a personal item in the waiting area and had turned it into the front hostess area for lost and found- only to overhear that one of the staff will take it instead. Needless to say, Pearl will no longer be getting our business due to the lack of ethics, professionalism, and hospitality.

We ordered three dishes and one soup dumpling. The dishes were reasonable good but the soup dumpling was a disappointment. The HUGE (should be small) dumpling buns have no soup at all with broken wraps. Also, likely due to lack of waitress, it took a little too long to have the food in the table.

Complete garbage service. The waiter is the reason why you guys lose service. She was so lazy and unattentive. After waiting 30 minutes for her to come over, I had to approach another waiter to order food. She took forever to bring the food over and when we asked her if she had condiments she lied and said no at first then decided to bring some out later. Food was subpar as well. Everything came out lukewarm and not hot at all. Panda Express is better than this place. Scam of a restaurant as well because they decided to include tip on lunar new years when clearly they didnt deserve it. Worst restaurant in town. Avoid if you can

Super busy place! Good food and decent price. Restaurant does offer dim-sum and they will give you paper to mark your orders. Sometimes, they have carts rolling around available as well. They mentioned 20 minute wait for dim sum orders though. We ordered about four or five other dishes. My to go order for my friends was wrong and we were missing one order but overall decent place. Staff are friendly!

Stopped here for the first time for Dim Sum: very nice offerings, lots of dumplings, soups and rolls and buns plus fancier meats on offer by all the cart ladies. The egg/custard tarts are nice and flaky. Service is impeccable and the carts are stacked high and swing by often.

Came here on Friday around noon for some dim sum but there selection was diminished. They didnt have congee or stir fried noodles or many other items that are available on the weekends. Service was fair. Food was still pretty good. But will come back on the weekends for more options.

I ve eaten at this restaurant for as long as I can remember. Usually accompanied by my parents. One being visibly asian and the other not. Today I came with my parent who s not asian, and got skipped by most waitresses with carts to attend the table less than three feet from ours with visibly asian guests. The store wasn t busy and the waitresses were sparse and slow. I love this place, however my parent refuses to return since they feel ignored and rejected by staff. I m disappointed because this restaurant has been a constant in my youth, but now that my parent is being discriminated against, they have lost a consistent customer. And one last thing, my favorite dish from here, the tofu with the shrimp on top is served whenever the cook feels like it. Multiple times have I been told that the chef didn t feel like cooking it, and I ve looked past it for a few years, but since I m writing this review I might as well say it.

First of all, the food here is really good. Its hard to find Chinese food like this in DFW. However the service was very bad. It wasnt crowded. Seemed disorganized and was confusing. People came in after us and received their food before us. 3 tables. It took almost an hour to get 4 of the 5 items we ordered. It took another 20 minutes to get the last dish. Ill probably come back but it will be some time. Not sure if it is staffing but they definitely have some service issues to sort out.

I hate to say this but this is one of the worst experiences Ive ever had in this area. We went in around 6:00 p.m. on a Sunday evening. The place was not crowded but it seemed busy. There was about five or six wait staff on the floor working that evening. We enjoy the fact that we had table side dim sum carts come by, but we wanted an entree from the menu to share. Once we place our order it took over an hour. I truly believe that our waitress forgot to place our order. We had to ask several times fornrefills of water while we waited for our food. Felt like we were alone and all the other tables will be served except for us. So we decided to cut our losses pay for what we had and leave. I can truly say I will not be going back to this location and will not recommend this to anyone. While the dim sum was pretty good, you can get that almost anywhere, but the service was really really terrible They werent rude. It was just that they kept ignoring us, and the wage staff was totally chaotic, disorganized.

Food quality and flavor is great. Price is higher than usual though. Service needs major improvement and frankly I was angry. Our table waited 45 mins before any food came out. When I finally decided to question them, they insisted on 15 more minutes - when in reality it was clear that they forgot to put our order in. Yet, they decided to lie and try to explain it takes them 20 minutes to STEAM our dim sum? Every table around us had already received their meals, even the ones that arrived at the restaurant much after us. And only after 40 minutes in, they tell us that one of the items we ordered - they no longer have. It is very obvious they forgot our order, and they should be honest about it. Very unprofessional.

I fairly enjoy the food here specially compare to other Asian restaurants around the area. I walk around the place for a while before decide to eat here because it look decent but not a lot of customer when I was there around 7 pm. The mushroom dish was very good and I not a fan of vegetables dish but this one was very good. Then there s the walnut shrimp which could never go wrong, if the restaurant can t even make good walnut shrimp then I would not go there. One disappointing dish was the roast duck was not very good. The dish was very cold and I don t think they roasted long enough. It was meaty but lack the flavor. I would said try it but wouldn t recommend. The service was very good and select dish is hit or miss so that s why I would still go.
