This has to be the worst chinese food in all of New Braunfels, everything tasted like the food was spoiled, the beef in the Lo Mein had hard bone fragments, I took about 4 bites and threw it all out........absolutely horrible food!!!!!

We ordered through Favor today, our order was so fresh when it got here! We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso Chicken with Lo Mein instead of rice, egg rolls and soups. EVERYTHING was delicious! Everything had a ton of flavor even the Lo Mein. We ve lived in NB 6 months now and finally found a good Chinese restaurant. I highly recommend trying it out. We will be ordering from here from now on. I m convinced all of their dishes are good!

We ordered online and had the Szechuan Combination, Orange Beef, and an order of Hot and Sour Soup. We were very pleased with our food which arrived before the anticipated delivery time and was very hot. The dishes were delicious and substantial. Each dish had nice large chucks of meat leaving enough for left-overs! Well order from here again and try other dishes.

SO DELICIOUS! Finally, a Chinese food place in New Braunfels that is fantastic takeout (we live in Canyon Lake). We have tried them all and I never cared to order again. Tonight got Orange Chicken, General Tso Chicken, Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Cream Cheese Rangoons and last but not least Chinese Donuts WOW! All was so so good. My absolute favorite that I kept going back for more was the Rangoons and the Donuts! What a surprise! Keep it up, Delicious Garden, we will be back to order again! Highly Recommend!

We used to go to this location when it was called China king. We were usually quite satisfied, and the place was attractive and looked like a Chinese restaurant. Now that it is delicious gardens, it has been stripped bare of any Chinese decor, and looks like a fast food joint! Plus you go up and order at a counter, just like it McDonalds! We were very disappointed with the fast food look of the place, and having to order our food at the counter. It just didnt feel like the kind of Chinese restaurant we were looking for. So we just left without ordering. If we want Chinese fast food will go to Panda Express

I ve lived in the area for a few years now and have given this place several chances(at least 10 take out orders) but tonight is the last. Ordered the sesame chicken and chicken lo mein. The sesame chicken is bland at best but filling. The Lo Mein was not even edible and went straight into the trash. It had the weirdest taste and smell Spent $30 on two meals which to their credit is a good amount of food but I ll be driving into town to get Chinese food from now on. I have never eaten here but the staff has always been friendly. My issue is that the food is simply not good.

Wife, granddaughter and I were the first customers in the restaurant last Sunday. We ordered and after leaving a tip, took our seats as other customers arrived and ordered their meals. My wife and granddaughter were served as well as all the other customers and I sat patiently awaiting my sweet and sour shrimp. Three times servers informed me that my order would soon be provided, but not so. As everyone else completed their meals, I continued to wait and finally told the staff to prepare the meal to go. Another fifteen minutes or so elapsed and they finally placed my meal on the table as they collected the plates from everyone elses tables. I took the cold food home and pitched it in the trash. Hope youre treated better. Second and last time to visit this place.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had ordered a delivery at 5 pm under the assumption when the order was placed it would be delivered around 6- 6:30 pm. I was okay with the longer wait in the assumption that it would be here between these times. Here it is 7:20 pm and I had paid overall $10 in delivery fees for my order and $44 total for two dinner plates. I called and spoke to the manager and was told it would be another 15 minutes until my order would be received. At this point I no longer wanted or needed this order as I was making other plans for food. I had then asked for a refund for the order since I have already waited over 2 hours for my food. The manager that I spoke to was very rude and had told me that if I wanted a refund I would need to drive to the restaurant in order to receive this refund. Overall the food and delivery fees are WAY over priced, the wait times are way too long and are NOT accurate and the manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. I would defiantly not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Tried this place for the first time today and I was not impressed at all. I am writing this review under the assumption that they were severely short handed as I only saw two ladies working. The girl that took my order was quite nice, after we placed our order and filled our drinks we turned around to find a table, and thats when we realized that over half of the tables had piles of dirty plates and cups all over them. Literally 10+ tables out of maybe 20 total tables were unusable. Again, under the assumption that they were way under staffed, the girl from the front counter brought my wifes food only, and a few minutes later brought mine, then a few minutes later brought our appetizer, and a few minutes after that she brought our soup, it was quite odd to say the least. The food was mediocre at best, the pictures on the website looked like it might actually be fresh made, but it is not, it is simply buffet style Chinese food served on a fancy square plate. As we are eating, 2 more tables left leaving 2 more tables covered with dirty plates. By the time we left, well over 3/4 of the tables were unusable due to the dirty dishes on them, there was quite literally only 3-4 tables available. While I can understand that they were under the gun being the only two people there, someone should at least make an effort to bus some tables, after she delivered our food she could have picked up a table but didnt. I wont be back.

So I was on the way to go get my order and my car broke down on the way. Food was the last thing I worried about at the time. After for an hour I made calls trying to get someone to come get me. After that hour I get a call from the resturant mad at me because the food sat there for an hour waiting. I explained I broke down and the man on the phone was married about the cold food. The guy shouldve felt bad and been sympathetic alittle bit but instead decided to mumble off unkind words and then hung up after I apologized several times. I used to eat there 3 times a week now it will be 0 times a week.

We were not impressed by anything. Lots of tables needed to be cleared of dishes, staff yelled back and forth to each other, theres no table service except when they deliver your food (you must get your silverware & drinks yourself), the spring rolls had no flavor, the saucy entrees, I suspect, are from frozen. I didnt hear a wok being used after we or anyone else ordered. In fact, the kitchen was eerily quiet. The food appeared, one dish at a time. Ill say the food came out hot, but that is the only positive thing I can say about this place. We wont return.

To start- walking in felt nothing like a Chinese restaurant, I felt like walking into a McDonalds instead of a Chinese restaurant. The wait staff didnt know where the utensils were, you had to walk up and order your food. You werent seated nor given a menu. The bathrooms were horrendously gross. Would not attend again.

The WORST Chinese place I ve had ever. Just got back from eating there 1/7/23 paid 45$ for two entrees and two soups! Ridiculous! Everything tasted nasty no flavor what so ever it was empty in there and it makes sense why it s empty. People behind us took two bites and left. I put in a lunch order online today for General Tsos chicken. Picked up my order, went home, opened the container, and it was chicken and broccoli.... I called and spoke to the very nice woman at check out who took my complaint to the kitchen/cook and I could hear him say that I was wrong, it was indeed General Tsos. This is not the first time the kitchen made an error and said I was wrong, but it will be the LAST time I give this place any of my business. The one SAVING GRACE to this restaurant is the very nice woman behind the checkout counter. Other than that, dont bother eating here.

I have been on a quest to find some Chinese food that I like the most aside from the buffet. Lets face it, I have to actually drive there and it is next to a tax place so I am reminded of that extension I filed. Anyhow, the good news is that I found a place that is pretty darn good after trying out three others. I have decided that Delicious Garden II will be my final resting point for delivery. As always, I will start with the As Delivered and then get right to my thoughts on each item. The quality of the packaging and delivery did not disappoint. Everything was warm and so tightly secured in the bag, the driver would have to be running laps in Nascar to mess it up. Since I ordered a side of Egg Drop Soup (Egg Rolls were included at one per entrée) I am going to tackle them both simultaneously. The Egg Drop soup (my friends fault as she created the idea in my mind) was excellent and by far the best I have tasted in this area from delivery. It was nice and thick, the flavor was fantastic, and most importantly, it was not overly salty. Just a great body to this soup. The Egg Rolls were spot on and I completely enjoyed them with my Low Sodium Soy. Crisp. Flavorful. Held up to the Soy Sauce and I sure did not look back with each bite. The first dish on deck is the Kung Pao Dragon and Phoenix. I was not quite sure what was going to be in it, but it sure was good! Shrimp was one of the additions and it was cooked well and added a very nice twist with the Chicken. This was just flat out an excellent dish and I was very happy. The spice level was quite nice and for once, someone got it closer to what I wanted/expected without a request. The meat was tender, juicy, and with everything else this is a winning combo. The second dish was Mongolian Beef, and I am quite picky about this one as it is a favorite of mine. While I love the Chinese Restaurants in California, this is the first time that I got to eat this dish here and it had heat to it! Finally!! I can only imagine if I asked for more and I m smiling about that option. The meat was of good quality, and I didn t find myself having to put a piece in the trash due to gristle. This meal was a homerun by this cooking crew, and I look forward to having some of the other items off their menu!! Moving along to the rice no complaints. The Steamed Rice was perfectly tender and moist when it arrived. The much tricker Fried Rice was also well done and not overly oily like the past few that I have had. This was cooked properly and I appreciated that as an option without an additional charge. Right on! My only complaint is that I would have enjoyed just a bit more than a small piece of egg, but I know you are making things in a large batch so not much fault there. I ate it and enjoyed it! Final Thoughts: This restaurant was the last one on the road when it came to who would be the place I went to for Chinese Delivery. Nothing against the restaurant; they were closed when I wanted to order so that is on me. The reality here is this: Out of four, this is the best one, and I am happy to give them five stars as I not only had a quality meal, but my stomach was not overtaken by oil. These folks do a great job and if you re looking for something that you are more used to like the small places we get food from in Cali, I would aim your compass in this direction. Well done Delicious Garden II. Well done.

Decided to order delivery one night while family was in town. Food was fantastic. My family loved it. We fed 10 people for a little over $100 which isnt bad at all considering what we could have spent elsewhere. Portions were big enough that there were leftovers. I finally found a place that does the lo mein the way I like it. Ive been searching for a while. The house got deathly quiet while everyone was eating so that was a good indicator that they loved it. Only bad thing is I crave that lo mein at least once a week now. Ha ha. General chicken sesame chicken triple delight all awesome. Tons of flavor compared to many other places in town. Give them a try. You wont regret it.

Food was delicious and plenty for a good price! We went for lunch. Had the Rangoon, sesame chicken, beef and orange chicken. We all loved it. Service was great. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. We will definitely be back!!!

We had a good experience here. Egg drop soup had both flavor and actual drops of egg in it, which was awesome!! Crab Rangoon was basic, small, and plain. I felt the chicken lettuce wrap was fantastic, partner felt it was okay, they did not care for the type and cut of leaf used. General Tsos had just the right amount of heat, nice thick full flavor sauce. Chicken lo mien(We gave the youngest he does not like sweet n sour which is all that is offered for kids menu) it was good, he picked at it as young kids do but stole the broccoli off of our plates... My partner had sesame Chicken he says it was Allright Set up is order at the counter at the far end of the restaurant, take a number, seat yourself, and someone will bring you your order. That same someone provides anything else you are missing and your refills. Parking: Trucks reverse towards street spots. We pulled into spots closer to building.. hahahaha, whole half of the truck sticking out.. Kid-friendliness: Really quiet inside, no-one appeared upset by our vocal 4yr old, but it felt uncomfortable as there was no buffer between his voice and his echo...

Really good food! Ive had a bad string of Chinese food places with overly fried and generic taste. This place was the best so far! It was pretty empty inside which threw me off and I wasnt expecting much but it ended up being delicious!

I absolutely love this place. Being from the east coast it has been hard to find Chinese food that I like...love...more than love. Found it! The managers are awesome! Super friendly. Charlie always has a smile of his face when I come in. AND....they alter the dish to meet my dietary (gluten free) restrictions. So yes! The deserve 10 stars if allowed. The servings are so huge....its a 2-day type of meal. Try the hot mustard....but have a hose or water fountain nearby. Favorite Dish: Shrimp Friend Rice, Spring Rolls, Edamame!

Kept it simple and ordered combination fried rice. It is absolutely delicious. One down side was that I could taste a baking soda taste on the shrimp and chicken pieces. Also unsure if it contained msg but I will find out if I get a migraine. If I do not I will be back to try other things.

Worst Chinese food I ever had. I ordered sweet sour shrimp, got chicken that didnt look or taste like chicken. Not sure what it was. Fried rice no taste. Only 1 egg roll per meal. $30 for 2 meals. Kid at the counter was zero personality. Overall bad experience.

We have lived in Texas almost 5 years and I had almost given up on finding delicious, familiar Chinese food. We ordered Delicious Garden through Uber Eats, and since the first time, we have ordered three more times. We have tried different dishes each time and they have all expertly prepared and tasty. My favorite is their MooShu Pork, on point! Although we live quite a distance from the restaurant, our food had arrived piping hot. We are so impressed that we plan to go to the restaurant and dine there. I sure hope the service is the same high quality as the food.

WOW!!!!! This is a hidden Gem!!! Portions are good. We ordered Walnut Shrimp, Mongolian Beef and Sesame Chicken. Generous portion, well seasoned and not salty. Walnut Shrimp is perfect and the walnuts are glazed right and crunchy. Hot and sour soup is made perfect. If know authentic Chinese food as I grew up eating and making it with my family. This is one of the best I ve found close to home.

Servers/counter staff not up to snuff. Furthermore, the prices charged at the restaurant were higher than those on the menu left at my door just 48 hrs earlier. To make matters worse, the quality of the food was poor (and I ve eaten American Chinese food from scores of restaurants all over the USA over the past five decades, not to mention overseas, including China). My advice: avoid this place.

If you have not tried this Chinese food restaurant, Delicious Garden, you are missing out! It is by far the best Chinese food my husband and I have ever had . hands down! I am not exaggerating at all! Each plate of food is piping out and freshly made brought out as soon as finished even if it is one by one! The egg rolls, orange chicken, cream cheese puffs, fried rice and lo-mein were the best ever! The staff is so nice and the prices are reasonable! I highly recommend this restaurant if you love great Chinese Food! It is tucked away in a small strip center on 46 in New Braunsfels! Google it for directions and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Hard pass... was not good at all. Our meals were dry and skimpy. The wonton soup people were raving about was not good at all. Tiny shriveled up wontons in a big bowl of broth. Definitely would not recommend.

My mother and I went here awhile back and I feel bad for the place. They have high potential but I always get a different story from locals. Some have really good experiences while others not so much. We dined in when they were barely opening back up and you can definitely tell the servers were new, but we gave them a chance. The food turned out very good and nice large portions for what we paid for. It wasnt just greasy fat food like most places Ive tried. The food really filled up the spot for us and we liked it, but it seems the quality of service and food is very inconsistent. If they can fix their inconsistencies in this place, then I really believe they can boom in the area. But until then, its just a hit or miss with them.
