My husband and I attended the Plano House of Comedy show last night, to see the headliner Bobcat Goldthwait. What a great time we had! From the lady who greeted us at the door and checked us in, to the bartender who served us as we were waiting to enter. The staff inside the showroom were wonderful and it was a fantastic time. We for sure will return!

NOT EVEN LESS WOULD LEAVE A STAR, Why? Because they forced me to consume two drinks! They also made us spend a very unpleasant moment, just when our favorite comedian arrived the girls from the bar began to ask if we wanted something, we said no! Because we were watching the show and then they told us that it was mandatory to consume, we said ok bring a wine and a shot of lemonade, and they told us they should order two more, and I didnt understand why, if it was my boyfriend and I. He literally forced us and I got very angry I will never go again very bad place! LESS WOULD NOT EVEN LEAVE A STAR, Why? Because they forced me to consume two drinks! They also gave us a very unpleasant time, just when our favorite comedian arrived the girls in the bar started asking if we wanted something, we said no! Parking is easy to find. Comics that perform are hit or miss. Staff are friendly. Biggest issues: Not enough crowd control for hecklers - in many other comedy clubs I have been to, hecklers get kicked out for repeated/particularly offensive shout-outs. Not here. Also, cheesecake tasted freezer-burnt.

By far the worst comedy Ive ever seen. Such a shame, cute place, good service. Terrible comedians. $65 with fees for 2 tickets and then theres a 2 drink minimum. $80 to $100 for 2 people, may as light your money on fire. Not worth it.

This is exactly what me and my wife need in our lives. Great performance by all comedians. Eleanor Kerrigan, Ms. Walker and Mr Hernandez kept it flowing. Service was consistent and the drinks was on point. We had the Pecan slice with Gelato on top and it was the perfect sweet we wanted. I recommend to everyone to pay a visit and prepare to have a good time.

The positive: Nice facility and location. Staff was personable. Feature and headliner were funny. Constructive criticism: 1.Most comedy clubs allow people to arive and be seated early, so they can get choice seats and order/receive food in advance. This comedy club makes everyone wait in the lobby and then opens the doors just prior to the show, so there is no advantage to arriving early and the wait staff are hustling to take/deliver everyones orders in a short amount of time, even as the show is starting. 2. This comedy club has a 2 item minimum pp, which is pretty standard at such businesses. My issue was that their menu is limited and doesnt offer any lite menu items such as chips and salsa/queso, fries, etc. All the menu items are large/heavy, so if you just went to dinner prior to the show, youre forced to either order more drinks than youd like (and is safe to drink) or order heavy food items that you arent hungry enough to eat. Just be mindful of this if you go to dinner prior to the show. 3. The show that we attended on Saturday (6/15), the feature and headliner were both funny, but the opener was not funny at all. Both her material and delivery were horrible and it was painful to watch...for her as well, as she mentioned more than once how the crowd wasnt feeling her. I think she should consider a new profession. 4. Lastly, the seats are very uncomfortable. The stage is also high, so if youre sitting in the front, youll be looking up the entire show and probably leaving with a sore neck. I hope this establishment improves in these areas. If so, Ill come back as I like having a comedy club in the area and want to support the local business. Otherwise, Ill not be returning.

The show was great! 15 acts with celebrity judges picking the winners. Ordered two vegetarian dishes, caprese Flatbread and mushroom gyoza and both were delicious. The audience was well-engaged thanks to the comedy host. We were all besties by the end of the night.

The comedian sucked but thats not the venues fault. Not all comedians are for everyone. He mostly delivered offensive material in a soft backhand way that was humorous and you almost didnt realize how he was subtly trying to sneak in his political views.

If you want to go to a bar atmosphere with comedians providing background noise this is your place. If you want to go see comedians go elsewhere. People, especially the group right behind us never shut up. When all 3 comedians make reference to all the talking going on, you know its bad. Reggie the headliner said why is everyone talking. If people are talking next to you tell them to shut the F up! Bet he was funny, too bad we couldnt hear half his set.

A large group of us stopped by here to support some of our local friends performing here. We had a great experience. The troop of comedians they had had us laughing the whole time. It was definitely not boring. They had different performers come up every 7 minutes. The venue was modern and nice and clean with a welcoming bar out in the lobby area. Bad. Really cold. Slow service. And the cherry on top ..wait staff that steals from you with tip charges. My credit card company alerted me that the tip was excessive. We were there with another couple. Both couples had 3 drinks. 2 beers and a martini. Bill was $22. They added to both of our tabs the excessive tip. I called to inquire. Was told the manager Kyle would call me back. Nothing. No call. I ll never go back to this House of Theft.

Unfortunately, I have to recommend that you do not go to this comedy club. I went to this club the first day that it open and I have tried to support them over the years. But the people that they bring in our substandard to say the least. I went last Friday night And the so-called talent was not talented at all. It was so bad that people started to leave in large numbers right when the main act started. It was really bad. It was not funny and finally after about five minutes the headliner actually started crying and left the stage , leaving us all sitting there in a very awkward position. I got up and went to the rest. The so-called announcer got up and was yelling at me because she thought I was leaving. After I got back from the restroom, I did leave. It s too bad that they are not bringing in talented comedians anymore. Kyle, who is the manager I talked to the next day and he said he would not be apologizing at all, pretty shocking actually, I will take my business elsewhere and I recommend that you do too

Brought my best friend & her friends here for her bachelorette party & wish we would have never spent the money. Service was good but the host of the show completely broke character and killed the vibe 2 minutes into the set when one of our girls laughed at her joke and said the country version of that s gross (gag a maggot) threatening to kick us all out. The bride and I go to lots of comedy shows (and hadn t even enjoyed our mandatory 2 drink/item minimum yet) and didn t feel as though we broke etiquette to the extent we should have been threatened like that. Being the brunt of a joke would ve probably done the trick. Won t be coming back here or recommending it to any of my other comedy loving friends.

I felt bad for the comedians that performed last night. There were multiple groups of blackout drunk people. The comedians couldn t get a word in without getting heckled, yelled at, or talked over. The club needs to do a better job of monitoring the crowd and kicking out belligerently drunk audience members. Or they need to implement some sort of decorum structure. Abby and his openers deserve some respect and these groups ruined the show for everyone else. I brought my family and we had to leave early. I won t likely come back.

Went to this venue to see a specific person and their show was great. The service was terrible. The show was well underway when we received our orders. We didnt receive our appetizer until others at our table had already received and eaten their appetizer and were already working on their entries. When we did get our orders, it was all at once; appetizer first, then 2 minutes later the meals, and FROZEN dessert together. The way the orders were taken seemed backwards, starting at the far back and working their way to the stage. Would suggest more order takers. Pete was a great MC, Amy Shanker was hilarious, and our special presenter K Trevor Wilson had me cackling! Plus, the staff is so friendly and kind! Venue is designed well. Nice mid size comedy club not too small and spaced well. The drinks are fair. Food is sub par even for bar club food. The entertainment was awesome. It was the Jamie Lislow show. The foyer area is way too small for the customers. The studio itself is very roomy. There was no organization letting the patrons in so it was a stampede to get in. Many late arrivals got in first and that was very upsetting for those of us who were there first.

Enjoyed the comedians! Parking was easy in the garage and close to the venue. Entering 20 minutes before the show was a breeze. Waitress was good, took our order 5 minutes before the show started. 2 item minimum. I didn t eat there but did order 2 drinks and that s where I wasn t pleased. Weak mixed drinks!! Couldn t even taste the liquor so you don t get what you pay for. Stick with beer. Food that people did order around me didn t look appetizing.

Orion Levine, Lee Syatt and Arun Rama killed it for the late crowd on August 26th. Great crowd interaction, hilarious, impressive wait staff and bar service. The comedians stuck around after and interacted with all who wished to. I recommend The Plano House of Comedy to anybody. Awesome experience the whole way around!

The comedy show / staff / atmosphere is nice. The only thing we didn t love was there was a two item minimum order per person at the table. We didn t get greeted by the wait staff until 40 minutes in , so we just went to the bar. Not complaining about the wait staff timing bc they were busy so totally get it . But we ordered a ton at the bar bc we thought we wouldn t see a server . When we did I told the server that we already got things at the bar we still had to order stuff from her. I realize they need to make money too but was frustrating bc we literally had to spend money just to spend money. I wish the bartender would have told us this or they had a sign when we walked in this was policy because we would have just waited. If it was a matter of she needed a tip for her section I gladly would have just gave her money bc I get that vs having to buy 4 random things we didn t want

I hate leaving reviews like this. One of the worst service experiences we ve ever had. We waited for an hour and 15 minutes until any server came to take our order or acknowledged us. This was the worst show experience we have ever had. We never got our food. Ever. When we tried to cancel our food order about 10 minutes before the show ended, the waitress asked didn t we want to take the food to go. Um, no. The waitress claimed there was only one cook. That is terrible planning on their part. Regarding David K, he was kind of funny, but calling his ex-wife the C word over and over is not okay. He smells like misogyny from a mile away. I think I will stick to the Addison Improv and Hyena s in Ft Worth.

The show was great; however, the service was nonexistent. We arrived at 6:15 for the 7:00 show and were seated by 6:30. The venue requires each person order two food or drink items. We didn t see a waitress until 7:00; our drinks finally arrived at 7:30. Our food (flatbread pizza) did not arrive until 8:35, a couple minutes after the show ended. I asked for a box but none ever came. Neither did napkins. However, the $60 bill for two drinks and two flatbreads materialized quickly. The table next to us finally gave up and canceled their order. The people behind us ordered a bottle of wine - it came open and at least a glass short. Both the wait staff and kitchen were just a mess. The Improv in Addison is so much better.

Excellent comedy club. This is an intimate venue where everyone has a great view of the stage. Comedian (David Koechner) was hilarious and interacted well with the audience. Food and drinks (2 item minimum) were served promptly and refills were easily obtained. Great experience! Highly recommend.

First, parking was easy with 2 garages to choose from, we were greeted right away, seated right away and our server was kn the ball the whole night. But the best part was the comedy. It was 5 stars hands down. What a way to spend a couple hours- laughing and laughing and laughing again. We saw David Koechner from The Office with his opening act Rob Maher. It was hilarious. We had the best time and will 100% go back!

Decided to try this place out for our anniversary. The last two comedians were pretty funny. Especially Amir. However, service for food and drinks was really really slow. And to top it off we didnt realize the crab claws were going to be $54!! I wish the waitress had mentioned this as it was the first item on the appetizer list.

First of all, the show was hilarious! Totally loved it. We saw Kristin Key, and she was amazing. First-timers will likely miss the fine print about the 2 item minimum order IN the showroom. So anything you purchase in the bar area does not count toward that. Just plan accordingly. With this knowledge, we will very likely return.

Not a big fan. The seats are way too close together. There was a guy in a wheelchair and he couldnt get through the aisles because they were so close together. The sound didnt work for the first 15 minutes and it didnt seem like anybody was in a hurry to fix it. Drinks were small, weak, and full of mostly ice. Most people went to the bar to get drinks because service was so slow. The improv and heyenas both are better than this place.

We had a great time at the show last night, the place itself is wide and the show was hilarious! However, we ordered a Hummus dish that was obviously really bad- sour and expired long ago.. when told the waitress about it she apologized but didn t refund us for that, so we paid 15$ for the treat. Will comeback again but definitely not for the food.

First time at this venue. Get here early to get the best seats. Great set up no matter where you sit. Ordered a PB&J flatbread( pepperoni bacon and Jalepanos) and the buffalo chicken dip. The drinks were big but weak. Food was good portion. Pizza could have been Spicer but hot and good flavor. Buffalo dip had a good variety of naan and veggies. Good venue to see

All the servers look like they hate their job and wish they werent here. Our table all placed their order and everyone who ordered Alcohol got their drinks, but those of us who didnt order alcohol never got our drinks. After half an hour we asked what happened to our drinks and were told you just have to wait! Unacceptable. It was also sad that the headliner Steven Ho had to ask multiple times for someone to bring a drink!

Horrible customer service, you call they dont pick up and email responses are not helpful. They cancelled a show for which I had purchased tickets 4 months in advance. They didnt even notify of the cancelation, i sent them an email, when I noticed the show wasnt happening thru Instagram, via someones post, not even them. They replied the day of the show to tell me Yes its cancelled here is a credit, that they dont know why I didnt get an email. I replied that I was not interested in a credit nearly 2+ weeks ago, Im still waiting on their response. If you cancel and dont tell folks please give a full refund.

I bought tickets, food, and drinks to see a particular headliner that was being promoted. It turns out he canceled the day before and they never informed anyone on their social media, or through text or email. The comedian even posted the day before he had to cancel. They claimed he canceled 30 minutes before. When I asked about a refund for the tickets I was just told to call the box office. I have left voice-mails sporadically at different times of the day and no one has ever answered or called me back. I spent about $160 between tickets and food and drinks literally to end up watching 2 people do stand up for the first time and a head liner that wasnt the one promoted.

Went last night with my husband. We both really enjoyed ourselves. Doors opened at 6:30 PM. Check in was very quick, and we waited at the bar until it was time to be seated in the main event room. The bar tender was attentive and friendly. At 7 PM, they began seating us. The stage was on a raised platform, so it s pretty easy to see from any table. After we were seated, wait staff came around and took orders. I ordered food, but kind of regretted doing so. There s no table lighting, the table area is small, and you aren t given silverware or napkins. You also aren t given time to eat before the performance starts. I recommend not ordering food in the main event area. The food was delicious, though. Overall, had a fun time. It was open mic night, and we had a blast watching a variety of good and cringey performances. Will definitely visit again!

Our experience at The Plano house of Comedy was not a bad one but there some things that they could enhance the drinks are a bit expensive. The food menu needs some more zing to it, the food is not bad but not the best. The biggest complaint I have is the seating when the host seats you. Your host try to seat us between two random people I understand your trying to fill seats but have some common sense! Geez the seating and tables I feel need to be worked on. I would still recommend this place and I will return.
