Service was fast, chicken strips were soft and tender and freshly fried. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. But when I got home with my order I was disappointed to see one of my gravies had barely anything in it. Is this a cost saving measure? It wasnt even half. This is the 2nd time this has happened so Im assuming this is the new standard. People think twice about returning if there were any hassles in their experience. Update 10-19-2018. Fast service. New softserve and soda machines. Oh and they have salads again!

We had to wait 20 minutes for the chicken to be ready. The gentleman at the take out window let us know, so we ran an errand and then came back. Chicken was hot and crispy. Minus 1 star because, prior to the errand, I would have liked him to have suggested that we pull to the front or park so he could either bring it out or told us to go through the drive through in 20 min. A truck in front of us was also waiting at the take out window and it could have caused a back up of vehicles.

John, the manager just might be the rudest manager of any restaurant Ive ever been to. Obviously ownership could care less. I have noticed that bad reviews get no response but good reviews get the owners attention... Should be the other way around!! I will NEVER go back....there us a Chic Fil A practically next door. I normally do not write reviews, but the total disregard for me as a customer was really low. Waiting in the drive through line I had time to make the coin change and paid $20.62 on an $8.62 bill. I got back $7. and it seemed to inconvenient the teller asking for my other $5. I also had to ask to get my drink and was asked, Didnt you already get your drink? Wow, some serious short term memory issues occurring here. Ok, I can move on from that. I decide to take advantage of the nice day and eat my lunch outside. There were no utensils for the macaroni and cheese, which they normally pack. It wouldnt have done much good , because just maybe there was enough pasta for 1& 1 /2 spoonfuls. It was mostly just a soupy liquid. Hopefully the other customers got a better service today, but I just wanted to relate my negative experience.

I dont know what they are doing at this location but someone need to investigate there service. They are extremely slow and rude. I was placed on hold immediately when I pulled up to the drive thru speaker. No other cars where in the drive thru line. I spent $16.21 on 9 wings a order of corn nuggets and a large okra I then waited over 20mins to receive my food. They didnt offer a complimentary drink no apology for the wait even an additional wait because my food order was placed at 1:16 but didnt receive my food until 1:33. Whole process was 30mins thats ridiculous. Where is the customer service?

The combination of this location and postmates is complete trash. I placed an order for curbside pickup and found out when I arrived that it isn t curbside, you still have to wait in the drive thru line. What s the point? My food was ready to pick up in 15 minutes but I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to get it. I do not recommend using this method for ordering ever. The staff is unwilling to work with you on getting you your order faster and when trying to cancel you get this never ending circle of being told to contact postmates and then being told to contact the store. Absolute trash. Never again.

I have ate at Golden Chicken in Murphy TX for a while. They are getting so bad at customer service. I pull up, place my order. Have to wait for cars to leave to get to the pick up window. I give them my card to pay. After paying, they tell me, oh, it will be a wait, chicken is cooking. I told them today, why didnt you tell me that before I paid? He said, I thought we had it cooked. He said it will be 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, a rude girl came out and brought my chicken. If all possible, I try to go to the Plano Golden Chicken on 14th. They get the chicken prepared and ready for pick up for the customers. No waiting. No heat lamp chicken. Just be prepared for a wait when you go to Golden Chicken in Murphy TX

The food was good but had problems with picking up an on-line order placed 2 hours prior. Order was for 5:15 pickup. At 5:15 was told catfish takes 5 minutes. At 5:35 was told just a few more minutes for chicken. Received order at 5:40.

Wicked wings are tastiest item in the menu. Hope they keep it forever. Be warned it takes about eighteen minutes for them to make 24 wings. But it comes out hot and fresh for us. Can t really complain. Wouldn t want undercooked chicken. If they drop all the wings at once it would lower the temp of the oil quite a bit and result in a poor product. The rolls were fresh too. Excellent rolls.

This was not the best of experiences. I ordered a Big and Golden with Cheese got the sandwich no cheese. I called the store for them to have the opportunity correct the order. I spoke with John the manager and he didn t offer to fix the sandwich only that he would save my receipt and he would give me the fifty cent credit towards my next time I came in. If your not willing to fix my order today what makes you think I would come back. I all I wanted was for them to make me a new sandwich. Hopefully this is a one time mishap!

We were here on July 12th. This Golden Chick is usually pretty good. The chicken tenders often vary in size. Sometimes all are normal sized while other times they are a mix of normal size and deformed nugget pieces. The batter consistency varies too. Sometimes nice and a little crispy while other times the entire tender is mostly crunchy batter with some chicken inside. Prior to COVID-19 we would dine in and depending on the crew the dining area was freezing cold, other times it was just cold. Their green beans are ok. They put way too many bacon bits in the mix and it overpowers and ruins the flavor. I love bacon, but the stuff they add is not great. Their french fries are usually pretty good. The instant mashed potatoes are ok at best. They should make real mashed potatoes. The cole slaw is ok. It could use a flavor boost. The soft serve ice cream machine seems like it is never working. Their ice tea is too weak. The service like any other place is hit or miss, but usually pretty good. Weve been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

I absolutely LOVE this Golden Chick! The guys are amazing, I always get fresh, hot food! My chicken is fried perfectly, my taters aren t soggy or too thick, the gravy is nice & thick, Zing sauce is always on point! I have been going to this Golden Chick for many years and never had an issue. Last Sunday, I had bought a 25 chicken tenders family feast for take away and once at home we found all the tender pieces were very dry and chewy (Sides were good). After a poor review to the Golden Chick survey Sunday and a call on Tuesday to a manager and letting him know the issue and that I would be back the next Sunday, he said Mr. John the Sunday manager would make it right by replacing with a new order for the Chicken tenders. I purchased some new sides and rolls and Mr. John replaced the tenders. Thank you Tuesday manager and Mr. John for the great customer service and correcting the dry chicken tenders with the juicy ones we were used to.

We decided to give them another shot after about 2 years ago when we got in line waiting in the drive-thru only to learn that the didnt have any chicken, but only sides and bread. Todays experience: First, the speaker where they take your order is blown and you cannot understand anything that the guy taking the order says. This may account to why the guy seems annoyed after you ask him to repeat what he is saying. Service was slow and not a smile or a thank you. There is a pipe with dripping grease as soon as you get to the pick up window at eye level, very gross. Place needs upkeep for sure. Food, however, was very good, a bit on the pricey side.

My experience at this location has not been a good one. The previous two times, they were are out of something, unfortunately it was early in the day. Tonight, the person on the window was rude and acted as though he was too busy talking with the other employees. He handed my food and immediately closed the window while I was trying to ask for honey. I honked my horn and sat there waiving. All the employees had their backs turned to me at first while talking, then they all dispersed and no one responded to me. There was no one else in line either. So sad that there is no customer service today. And management doesn t seem to care to train their employees. Third times a charm, I won t be going back.

I use to love this place, then they switched owners. Don t go here. I stopped going here months ago due to several poor experiences. **Horrible customer service!*** I placed an order for wicked wings and asked for all flats ( never an issue at any other location yet along any other chicken restaurant) I was told no! Golden Chick in Murphy Texas is by far the worst, most embarrassing, and tragic excuse for a business. Going inside is always a hassle. On this particular occasion we were first in line but the cashier didnt acknowledge me for 12mins because he was occupied fixing (I Counted) 10 customers orders that were messed up. The order was for dine in and handed it to me in a Togo bag after the fact that I had to wait 22mins for a simple 4 price tender meal. Ketchup and napkins were not stocked. Sweet Tea and Unsweetened Tea were empty. Carbonation in the drink machine was not working. Ice cream machine wasnt working like usual. Tables and the floor looked as if they hadnt been cleaned all day. I will be sure never to come back to this Particular Resturant because every single time something is wrong.

Food is decent, staff is ok but not customer focused, and service is easily delayed. The manager Sam is all about $, cutting corners, refuses to order much needed and demanded product, and cheating employee pay while over working them, such as double doubles and 22+ days work weeks. My wife worked 21 days straight before calling in from exhaustion and Sam showed up to my house. The night before he had shown up asking me to complete a voluntary second double cooking, although he wouldnt pay me at the rate they start cooks, when I again explained the sciatic pain wouldnt let me stand. The ice cream machine has been broken for months. Prices are going up. Tonight we ordered the mixer. Got home and didnt have our whole order. Went back to get the rest of it. Got home and were still missing items. Shame on us for not checking the 2nd time but seriously?

We ordered a family meal (16) tenders and all they handed me was 1 tiny container of zing sauce and had to ask how many sauces come w the family packs and he gave me one more and then had to complain to get one more....why are you guys so stingy with sauce?? $30 meal should cover costs for dipping sauce???

I stop in this location for the first time and was horrified at what I saw. Instead of the crew cleaning the lobby area they were to busy talking. The ice cream machine was not working....ice cream was spilled all of the counter top. Of the 12 tables in the lobby 5 of them.had food either on top or underneath. The floor had good in several places. Now there were 5 crewmembers on staff in the middle of the afternoon. I noticed no one wore gloves to prepare food, nor did they wash there hands before attending to customers. This is by far the worst location I have visited and will not visit again.

Terrible service, I stood there for probably 6 minutes before I was even acknowledged, when I finally did get my order taken she left before she finished my transaction out, she left the register wide open and didn t give me my receipt. It took another 12 minutes before I got my food. This isn t the first time either, the last few times visited haven t been pleasant

Me and my boyfriend went to the drive thru, and always when we go our customer service is good on point , the food was perfect they got our drink correct everything right , but my chicken had to much spicy powder ! yes i ordered a spicy chick , but they put too much of it like so much of it that it gave ma a stomach bug , and that was the worst thing ever!! I love Golden Chick but man that was spicy and gave me a stomach ache!

They don t accept coupons! I used to go here all the time and ordered the two can dine special, which is perfect for my wife and I. Then recently they started requiring that you have the physical coupon when ordering. I didn t like it but understood. I went there yesterday with coupon in hand and they refused to take it, saying that It s not in the computer so they can t ring it up. I asked for the manager and she told me she was the manager and still couldn t work with me. She did suggest that I drive to the Wylie store and complain in person to the district manager. What made me mad was that she just didn t seem to care. I m not going back.

When this store first open the chicken was great. But now , its the worse ever. I literally saw the franchise owners son wearing a warm-up suit scratching his genitals with his hand while he was picking up chicken, Then he place the rest of the chicken in a large basket,sneezing without turning his head. I know this was the franchisee son because I ask the cashier was he the franchisee owner the cashier said no, that is his son. After ordering the Lucky 13 I found out fast that I was Lucky to see what happen. The Health Department needs to inspect this place ASAP. Now I cook my own chicken.

The yeast rolls are very good. The chicken strips are pretty good but the fried chicken is anemic: not crispy and fairly flavorless. The nearby Kroger makes a far superior fried chicken, if thats what youre going for. Alas, though, the biggest downside here is the inability to correctly fill orders. The recent advances in chicken anatomy - wherein we now know what a chicken breast looks like versus a wing or a thigh - seems to have eludes the staff. Fully 75% of our orders are filled wrong. Generally, we are just going for the yeast rolls and get the chicken as accompaniment (especially since its usually filled wrong). The rolls really are that good. PS. The mashed are pretty good, too. Strange: Youd think the chicken would be the thing theyd want to camp on.

My family and I ordered an 8 pc chicken with a dozen rolls, family size macaroni and mashed potato. Our server, Jasmine I believe, was very rude while I ordered and when I asked about the price of 8pc. She commented rudely, isnt the price on their? When I pulled up to get ordered items and asked for a breakdown, she was also talking in a rude tone. After she handed me my order, I asked for my receipt and she said it is at the bottom of the plastic bag. At that point, I made a suggestion that next time she hands me the receipt after she swipes my credit card or ask whether I want it in the bag or with me. Also suggested for her to have a better customer service as she was rude. She gave me a smirk and laughed when i asked her to have a better customer service skills. I will not go to this plave again. VERY BAD SERVICE.

We usually go to this Golden Chick because it is near our neighborhood and we usually experience good customer service through the drive thru. But this time, I went to the drive thru like normal and I ordered my normal order, 8 piece mixed chicken with 4 rolls, but the cashier, Jasmine, was incredibly rude. She interrupted me while I was trying to clarify my order and continue to be rude when I was paying her. She didnt even give me my receipt and I had to ask for it. We normally do not experience this kind of customer service here. They are usually very fast or they deliver the order to your car (if it has a wait). But this is the first time that I have experienced this.

It took over 30 minutes to get my order. Got home they got my order wrong! The chicken strips tasted like they where dipped in old oil. Im guessing they dont believe in putting napkins with their to go orders . Honestly worst location Ive been to , go to Plano or Wylie the drive will save you the pain of having to go back to get your order right !

My boys love the fried chicken here but they really love the rolls. Better chicken than Chick Fil A for sure. UPDATE : Never again. The last three times we came here the wait was intolerable. Ended up leaving after more than 15 minutes waiting in line with no food. No excuse.

If I could give them NEGATIVE stars I would We ordered 2 #1 dinners We waited over 30 minutes and never got our food The manager (TaReya? A young African American girl) was standing around talking with friends then she was writing in a book Several customers were complaining She wasnt helping at all She never apologized The employees were playing around with their friends People not in uniform were going behind the counter There was even as girl w a baby in the kitchen We saw an employee give his friends a full bag of food for free We were never offered an explanation nor an apology We asked for a refund We wont ever be back The worst experience Ive ever had at Golden Chick

Just got back from this place for the second time tonight. First time I got home and realized they forgot my tartar sauce, which I specifically asked for when ordering. Once I got home the second time, my boyfriend dipped his chicken into the gravy and it was literally the consistency of MILK. So gross. And of course our food was cold by the time we ended up getting to eat it. Im pregnant and hormonal and i was very close to calling them to complain to the manager but I dont intend on ordering there again anyways so theres no point. Check your food if you order here.

I like golden chicken. I usually get the tenders family meal with mash potatoes and some times jalapeño poppers. There lemonade is pretty good (some days its can be too sweet I just add some water). The workers are super sweet and quick.
