I know majority people don t get their steak well done, but that s how I like it. Not 145 155 but all the way 165. I m 5 months pregnant and couldn t get a steak without blood red in it. They remade it still red and more red in the middle just like the first one. I also know most chefs don t like to cook well done but you know what the chef or anybody working in the restaurant didn t buy the ingredients and they didn t pay for this meal. I just took the steak home and cooked it myself. You put the temp in the middle of the steak to check the temp. Happy birthday to me!

Our order to way too long to come out we had finished our appetizer and salad and waited for approximately 30 minutes only for my steak to arrive extremely undercooked (I ordered medium well). They took it back to cook some more but of course when it returned it was overcooked. I asked for steak sauce only to be told they were out of ALL steak sauce!! How can a steak house not have a single bottle of steak sauce in the building??? Ridiculous! The table next to us ordered their steak without butter due to a dairy allergy they sent the steak back and the manager came out and asked so do you want us to cook a whole new steak? Duh ..seriously??? Meal cost over $100 and wasn t even worth $10! Definitely won t be returning.

Jada was our server at the location in Mesquite. She was a very good server honestly, some of the best service I ve had in a long time. The steaks are always consistent,seasoned well And cooked perfect. My only complaint was that the table smelled like it was wiped with a sour rag. The whole area we were in smelled sour. If that s something that is fixed next time I go I will change my rating back to a five star.

I always get takeout, and the experience is pleasant. They even have a separate entrance to the takeout counter, so you dont have to walk thru the restaurant or bar. The lady that works the counter is very nice and helpful.

The steak was cold, it took exactly an hour for my food to come,. The Bartender asked like 10 times for the steak, and finally went back and got it. This is the 2nd time in a row this has happened,. I spoke to the manager and made sure she knew about it. Her response to me was that ,they were new and that they needed training, NOT what i wanted to hear. I paid everything in full and i was walking out, they handed me my food packaged. Which i through away outside. I did not make a seen, but I will not be coming back , Roadhouse down the street has way better steaks and service. Im done!!!

We both had very good meals here! Our server was wonderful, and she even learned a few things for me about serving since this was her first serving job opportunity, and she was very cheerful about it! I was love coming to a Texas steakhouse, with the Longhorns and the license plates, and all the decorum, I have since I was a child, and that was a long time ago! They did a perfect job of serving my wife, her vegetarian, baked potato, fully loaded without bacon and broccoli with a cheese sauce. That was very tasty! I chose a 6 ounce filet mignon done to my idea of perfection at the level of extra rare, a fully loaded, baked potato with plenty of extra unsweetened butter. and we both enjoyed the bread was unsweetened butter as well! This location in Rockwall has great atmosphere, service galore and remarkably good food served perfectly to our tastes! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options available! Parking: Abundant parking, and they still put horseshoes in the sidewalk!

There was an odor in the restaurant and not of food. The waitress forgot about us and our order was incorrect. We waited 20 minutes for our food after having appetizers. When we got our order the steak was dry and the shrimp was cold. The other steak was rare when we asked for medium. We talked to the manager he offered to redo our order but we didn t want to wait. We won t be returning.

This is my first time ever having issues at Saltgrass.. I love this place! But with that being said...service wasnt great. Wrote the order down wrong so they brought the wrong food, never checked on our drinks till a manager asked if we needed anything, Didnt bring my cocktail until the food was being brought out and never asked me if I wanted another one, And then his steak was cooked incorrectly.... Came here for dinner one night. It took forever for us to even get our salad. Waiter forgot to bring our order of bread around. When our food finally came out my boyfriend s order was wrong, and my steak was cooked wrong. Waited to have the order corrected but they forgot again. Asked for the to go box and the ticket and then the ticket was forgotten. Had to wait again for that. Wait would have been worth it if the food would have been decent. Bathrooms smelled awful and had toilet paper everywhere. Overall it was such a disappointing time out.

Very poor service. Horrible almost nothing was right my wife s steak kbob was way over cooked her sangria was very bitter. My pork chop was not the greatest. not the best $90 dollars I spent at salt grass, quality has gone down. Also as I was there I can t believe how many times I saw the manager go up to tables saying sorry for not preparing the food as it was ordered. I honestly think I won t come back to this location anymore very sad that I spent my money in this way. Not to mention I was told they don t have mash potatoe and then when I get my food I m told they don t have anymore baked potatoes and that they have mash potatoes instead.pissed me off. DONT ASK FOR A REFUND!!!!...this used to be one of my favorite steakhouses but since the pandemic theyve gone downhill!! I ordered online on mothers day, well done steak, broccoli and cheese. The steak was rare and bloody, so disgusting, and the broccoli was undercooked and hard. I called immediately and was told that a refund is only issued if the food is brought back, which is understandable, but due to the late order (picked up at 8:45 pm, they close at 9) that I could bring it back the next day after 3 when manager is there. I bring the food back the next day as requested, fill out info form, and now almost a month later, STILL NO REFUND!! You have to go thru all types of hurdles and challenges to receive a refund, They ruined my mothers day dinner, and have me still waiting for a refund. Theyve lost a faithful customer, will NEVER eat here again!!!!!

Overhyped and overpriced. Had the ribs, grilled shrimp with Mac n cheese. The food was good but wasn t worth the price at all! If I m not going to eat at home, I need something that s not going to make me regret it. This place made me regret not eating at home. I was actually shocked that there wasn t a 2nd side. And with their prices, you d think the drinks would be a bit stronger. It was the first time eating there. That said I went for lunch. I ordered the lunch 10oz lunch ribeye. I had thought it was going to be to small. But after the delicious bread and butter then the very nice sized salad, came the steak. Perfectly cooked to a medium rare, as I requested. The smoked Mac and cheese and two glasses of tea. I actually had to take home a bit. My mother had the nice portioned chicken fried steak ( a bit tough) and loaded mashed potatoes. All in all a good meal at decent price. Bill was $54. Not bad for a steak house.

WOW! I experienced very poor service at this location. This location quality of service and food seems to indicate it is not apart of the Saltgrass Chain. I had lunch here. I was seated. No one acknowledge me for 7 minutes. Infact when the waiter walked up he didnt speak and had a very poor dispositon. I asked at that moment if service was going to be an issue today. However I decided to go back to the hostess desk and ask for a manager. Guess what when the manager came he had the same I dont care disposition as the poor waiter. I explained to him my concern he said ok he would fix the problem. I asked how. He stated he could not tell me. Never once did he apologize or try to make it right. I asked to be moved. Jada was our waitress she did a good job. Richard the kitchen manager came to the table and tried to make it right. However, the main manager didnt care. I visited the Saltgrass Steak House in Arlington on Thursday. The food and service was great. Im not sure what is going on but this location has issues.

When it was served, it was way too pink.Even the waiter agreed.They took it back, a nice manager came and check to see if it was cooked a little more as it seemed to be. However as I kept cutting into it , it was still pink. Showed the waiter who also still agreed it was still too pink. Then A different manager chubby manager assumed we wanted a free meal trying to school me on my steak liking ,catching the attention of the other customer, not taking in consideration that I the customer was the one who had to wait for it to be cooked again, and by that time I was no longer hungry. So we just paid. However I did NOT appreciate her catching the attention of the other people around me, not making me comfortable. She could have handled that a little differently, no big deal.We paid and will not be returning to this location again.

So after sitting for 20 minutes and seeing that everybody around us who got in after us was getting served, I went and got a manager who finally went and came and served us 5 minutes later. She said there was a misunderstanding about waitresses. They apologized yes saying that it had been a misunderstanding, but they gave bread to make the experience better. I love bread. The waiter we ended up with kadera was the best part of our experience.

This was always our go to place for a great steak cooked just right but the last two times we have been there was not so great. High price food but low quality steak. The baked potatoes were so small,the same size steak were very different in size. It just didn t add up. Looks like we will have to find an other place to eat steak.

First time coming to saltgrass , we got seated quick , tables see so close to eat other could literally get food from the next table . Our waiter asked us what we were drinking and took off with out giving us a chance to tell him we wanted appetizers , he did this a couple of times. The selection of drink is great and they are very good , I ordered the silver star porterhouse steak and it was very good , the wife got the shrimp and it was ok , the girls got burgers and they where ok also , at least we could say you won t be disappointed if u order steaks
