Every time I come here theres always a problem at the register. Whether its them checking you out or self-serve. Whoever is programming these registers obviously does not know what theyre doing. I only come here as the last resort, after checking with Hobby Lobby, when the other Michael stores are out of something I might need.

Signed up for a class on painting an abstract painting. When we got there we were told just go ahead and paint what you want no instructions on how to do the painting that was advertised. Came back today for a class on tie dye t shirts. We were told we could not use the classroom so there was a table set up where an employee made the t shirts for you. Thats absolutely ridiculous! Why advertise classes that just dont exist?!

I Love shopping at Michaels and have ever since they went by Michaels MJ Design. I stopped in for some yarn and crochet hooks especially since they were on sale but there wasnt a great variety of colors for the yarn I needed well lets just say there were 4 colors. There was no staff available on the floor to ask if they had any questions too and the ones at the registers were too busy to help. Im giving this 4 stars for the lack of stock during a sale and being it was before the holidays there should have been more staff to help people find things and answer questions. Other than that it would definitely have been a 5 star review and the staff at the registers were very helpful and friendly even though they were extremely busy they had smiles on their faces.

Michaels is often a terrific craft store with goodies for most projects. However, they have recently disappointed me in numerous ways. Shelves are empty and items are out of stock. The cashiers are professional and courteous, but there are no salespeople in the departments to help me find things or to suggest alternatives for out-of-stock items. Coupons dont work the way they should. Sale prices are not valid for picky reasons. I will be going to competitor stores until things get better, if they ever do.

Avoid weekend instore shopping. There were empty boxes and unshelved merchandise between the isles, making it hard to walk through. My daughter even fell from the clutter of how messy this store was considering that we were mindful of where we were walking. Wish I wouldve taken pictures of the mess, but I was more concerned with my daughters leg pain from the fall. Still considering suing...

Needed a round hat loom to make beanies for friends and families for the winter season. If theres one thing I love, its making homemade gifts and watching my friends squirm as they feign their appreciation for the gift! My Granny used to make crochet gifts for me and I loved them. So Im just carrying on the tradition. Michaels isnt political like Hobby Lobby so I prefer shopping here. The purchase was online for in store pick up. I was in and out. They have a grab and go shelf at the front. No muss no fuss. This is the way.

They are really not organized, and the in-store pick-up is not the best way to get anything if you are looking for them to do any work to get the items that you request for that day. They basically tell you that your items may not even be shopped until the next day. I placed an order at 5, and I went to the store at 8:50, and they were more interested in closing up than helping. I waited that long to even go because I called twice about my pick up, and it still wasnt ready. There were 4 associates in the store, and no one was trying to help or assist except telling me they were closing in 10 minutes.

When the store first moved from the other location it was a great place to go for supplies for most hobbies. But in the past few months the store has been very disorganized, hardly any staff around for help. Aisles seem to be full of boxes or merchandise that is either not put out or had been placed for clearance. Very disorganized.

Not sure how it can be when I got it at this locations months ago... another cashier tried helping but honestly their attitude and assumptions would not stop. It was difficult to find assistance on the floor, so it took me a minute to find what I was looking for. This is a great place to find gifts/supplies for your crafter or artist. They also have cute decor items. The customer service from the cashier was great! He made sure I was aware of all the deals that they were offering and that I was eligible for. If you frequent this store it may be a good idea to join the rewards program.

I love all the variety of storage containers they have for arts n crafts/ or your office But, they are way too pricey on them. If your hobbyist this is the place to go for all your storage container needs. I do custom, repainting, and repairing of all wind chimes including changing cloth strings to fishing line which holds up longer & better in weather. But Ive just been using old food containers for my crafting. Would love to be able to afford some of the storage drawers with wheels and some small containers for findings ... But I dont make enough to do even that. So I just enjoy window shopping hoping that one day Ill find some on sale that I can afford. Lol. But Michaels and hobby lobby are my go to places for my tools and findings.
