Obviously no one wants a divorce. It is a very difficult situation for couples and families, emotionally and financially. With that being said, Sharon made our situation as smooth and painless as it could have possibly been. My ex and I have a lot of love and respect for each other even though we knew that our marriage needed to end. We did not want to go in and hurt each other or have either person feel that the split was unfair. We chose mediation because we didn t want to argue, hurt each other or just give lawyers money that we have worked incredibly hard for over the years. Sharon has years of experience in both a family law litigation and mediation. She has the empathy to understand the tough situation, but also the legal experience, to be an unbiased third party and guide couples through the extremely difficult and emotionally stressful process of divorce. Sharon charges a fair flat rate for her service. Unlike litigation attorneys, it s not in her best interest to keep couples fighting to earn more money. We have a number of friends that have gone through divorces recently and have chosen to obtain separate lawyers. Most of these situations have gotten very ugly and have caused a lot of hate between all parties involved, including children. I feel very fortunate that we were able to find Sharon and work through our differences quickly, calmly and intelligently while maintaining love and respect for each other. The entire mediation process was done in a day. We hugged each other and walked out feeling like we both received a fair settlement. I would highly recommend calling Sharon if you are going through a divorce. She was absolutely amazing and my ex and I both felt like we had a friend in our corner through the entire process.

This is definitely not something I would wish on anyone, but Sharon is a professional. She was able to clear up any legal questions, however minute the detail. I would recommend Divorce Mediation Centers of America not only to help you pursue your future, but to also keep some semblance of the good that came out of your marriage.

I have been in crisis mode for some time, Sharon immediately stepped in and provided words of wisdom and a clear direction to get my divorce back on track. Sharon was extremely empathetic to my case, I felt secure and confident in the process moving forward. I immediately sensed Sharon s depth of knowledge and connections in the community that would help assist in getting my divorce finalized with my needs in mind. I only wish I would have chosen Sharon the first go around, as I now understand my rights more clearly. More importantly, my fear has already begun to subside knowing Sharon is actively looking out for my best interest. Speaking of quick follow up, it wasn t even an hour after leaving her office on a Saturday that she called to give me an update. We were very fortunate to have found Sharons office for our mediation needs. Going through a divorce is a stressful time enough, but not knowing what to expect and all thats involved can be very overwhelming. Having our first informational session with Sharon was great! She gave us us her full background, explained her role and gave us a full overview of what is involved. After signing on for their services, we met with Rachele for our mediation session. Rachele was awesome to work with!! She takes the time to explain every detail thoroughly so we all understand. We had a rather fast and smooth session. Rachele then gave us full details on the process afterwards once the waiting period was over. I had many questions after the fact and everytime I called for info, she was very detailed in her responses. She was quick to return email or be readily available by phone. Highly recommend Sharon and Rachele for mediation needs!!! And they have nice pens in your folder!!

Of course no one wants to go through a divorce but if faced with that situation I would highly recommend Sharon and her team. Sharon took the time to listen to both of our needs and made sure we were doing the right thing for our two year old. Her staff is amazing and was very helpful along the way! For reasons still somewhat inexplicable to me, I suddenly found myself facing a divorce. Fortunately, my wife had agreed to handle this very difficult situation as amicably as possible, so instead of an expensive lawyer battle before a divorce court we chose to use Sharon Easley at Divorce Mediation to help us fairly divide our community estate that was acquired during the course of our marriage. Sharon is an experienced mediator, with a no-nonsense attitude and a plenty of experience in handling what could easily become a contentious property division process. She made sure that both my wife and I had a clear understanding of what is considered a fair division of assets under the law, and she worked with both of us to make sure that neither party felt like they were getting the short end of the stick. In our case, the entire process took around 5 hours to complete. From personal perspective as the main provider in our marriage I had the most to lose, but I walked out of there with a sense of fairness and equitability. I wanted to treat my wife fairly, but at the same time I didnt want to be taken for a ride and I feel that both of these things were accomplished. Thanks to Sharon for making a very difficult event in ones life a little bit easier to bare, and clearly saving some money in the process.

I didnt and I bet no one enters into a marriage with the idea or plan that it will end. If it must, then I would strongly recommend mediation & the services of this company. The environment created was where no party was placed in a position to blame or to be blamed. The concern and care for ensuring both parties are equitably represented was a central focus in not only the questions asked but in the documents drafted and presented to both parties at the same time to review. The most painful part for me was just signing the final documents, but what provided me with a small moment of peace was the kind words shared by Ms. Easley at the end of mediation. I strongly recommend her company, but I pray you will never need her.

Although divorce is never what you intend to go through it happens and when it does it s never easy. Sharon took the time to hear what we had to say about our situation and how we wanted it handled. She voiced her concerns and gave both of us input on the matter. She made the process easy and commended us on how we could see eye to eye on what s best for our children. She is definitely the person I would recommend to anybody that I know going through divorce. Not only do you save money, but it keeps everything on an even playing field with common sense decisions. She can see what s best for the family especially when there are children involved. Thank you for the help, advice and direction.

Mediators information about what to expect at court was completely WRONG! Extra paperwork was needed that mediator never discussed, causing unnecessary delays. Also, paperwork that was submitted to the court by mediator was missing pages, which has caused massive headache after headache of extra legwork by myself. Mediated in January of 2020 and its June of 2020 and STILL having to deal with fallout from this places incompetence EDIT: DMCA notes that the divorce was finalized in February of 2020, which was true. However, additional paperwork for everything relating to child custody was not settled until the summer of 2020 due to the missing paperwork and lack of instructions and clarity from DMCA.

Sharon made our very difficult situation smooth and caring. She did a wonderful job at keeping us on task and helping us to be able to slow down when emotions got high. She was amazing at slowing us down and helping us think through what was best for our children and ourselves. By the end of our session we both felt heard and respected. If only I met her early in the process! Sharon was able to help my ex husband and I navigate through very challenging decisions that were not resolved between our attorneys and other professionals through a collaborative process. We walked away from her sessions feeling that the kids best interest was always the top priority and she gave us the perspective that we needed when we had to each compromise on things. She took us to the finish line. I highly recommend her as a mediator and know that when and if I need additional help post divorce, she will be my first choice!

How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways. If youre a fan of brevity in communication, untimely correspondence (if any), delaying sufficiently so as to compel opposing counsel to inquire about progress, ignorance of the facts of your case when queried, being personally chided for not paying enough, being told your case isnt worthy of interest, multitudes of misunderstandings, and personally antagonistic representation, youll love the treatment here. Sharon Easley has a pending grievance filed against her with the Texas State Bar Chief Disciplinary Counsels office.
