Weird smell when we walked in. Probably should have left right then but, we tried to give it a chance. Sank into the booth that they seated us in (first one behind the wall). It definitely could use some repair work. Took forever to even get water brought to the table. Salsa was kinda strange, it tasted like warm marinara and not salsa. Pineapple Marg tasted strange kinda like a pina colada (I should have sent it back) but I tried to power through ended up leaving it on the table when we left. My dining companion said that his super nachos left a lot to be desired and he actually got sick on our way home. My Quesabirria wasn t terrible but, I have definitely had better.

If the Host Chris is there do not go. Party of five treated horribly today. Chris claimed to be the Manager the whole time and found out later he was not. The only saving grace we had was one of us knew another worker called and got a hold of the owner. She made everything right. Her employee should not be in customer service any where. No pictures because the experience didn t deserve one.

Jon aka: Jonathan was a great server and very interactive. Food was amazing, Birria Pizza 10/10 recommend. Mango Agua was also delicious. Karaoke available for those brave enough. Definitely coming back.

DO NOT GO HERE... if they mess up your order they WILL NOT make it right.. we ordered 2 Quesadilla plates to go and got home 20 minutes away and got 1 Fajitas plateand was chargedand paid for it.. I called and they said bring back to Fajita plate and they THEN will charge me for the quesadilla plates... Really you are going to change me AGAIN for something they missed up on. My friend wanted to go here so I went. Paid $20 for 3 tacos. No rice and beans. That would have been $6 more! Never got a refill on my water. Only got 1 round of chips. Chips came in a bowl the size to feed a cat. Not to mention AC was out. Not too mad about that because things happen but it didnt help. We were 1 of 3 tables with 2 servers on.

Have been here a few times. Food is good and drinks are generally good as well. Tonight was not a good experience overall. No music made it awkwardly quiet in a place that should probably have a more lively atmosphere to go with the theme. Fans were on, guess AC was not working but it wasnt hot. Service lacked big time, as we waited longer than usual for just about everything. The best thing about the experience was the appetizer, which was all we ended up getting other than 1 Pina Colada each. (it was just me and my amiga). The appetizer definitely was worth the wait, guacamole in a molcajete topped with fajita meat...sooo good! Wasnt too busy, sign says they close at 10 but by 8pm, the place was empty and staff was ready to go home (front door was already locked). Overall, Ill go back, just hope the AC and music and wait staff are working.

We decided to try Fridas Tacos for dinner tonight. It was excellent. The customer service and knowledge of the menu provided by John was without a doubt the best I ve experienced in a while. The food was seasoned to perfection. The menu had plenty of choices to satisfy all tastebuds. I will definitely return.

This is a beautifully designed restaurant. Great photo pop for friends and family! I ordered the birria tacos and they were delicious. I appreciate the food not being overly salted and the warmed salsa. Ruby was our server and she was quick and attentive. She provided great recommendations for the menu and was really kind throughout our dining experience. I highly recommend you visiting for your own one of a kind experience! Wheelchair accessibility: A lot of open space to navigate successfully. It is a bit dimly lit, so if vision sensitivity is a concern just ask for brighter seating area.

We loved Rubys service she was adorable and very friendly! We had trompo de alpastor which was a lovely presentation and we loved making tacos out of it, although they charge extra for tortillas because they are hand made. I had an issue with the restroom because there was no hand towels and i had to come out of restroom with hands still wet and asking the bartender for hand towels. Had to use bar napkins. Overall was good food and service which saved my next visit for sure!

We had an amazing time at Freida s Tacos. We came to Red Oak for a softball tournament last summer and when we knew we were coming to this area again we came and brought our friends. This is our second trip here, the first was to check it out, and while the food was good they had some staffing and wait time issues. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted and seated, chips & salsa, drinks orders taken. In no time our food was out and delicious. Our server, John was fantastic. He was fast, attentive, and funny and made the experience even more enjoyable. The only issue I had is that the lack of lighting over my table made it a little difficult to read the menu. They have definitely worked out the previously problems and delivered great food and great service in a fun environment. I highly recommend!

Went for brunch on a Saturday, first time visiting. Establishment ambiance was great but the music did not match. Not really sure why they were playing jazz music at a Mexican restaurant. We ordered drinks and they brought us the wrong drinks, only to be told we had an incorrect menu. Not really hard to mess up a mimosa flight. Tamarindo water was not fresh either. Food was tasty although portions were very small. However, they also messed up one of our orders when we asked no onions and plate was served full of onions which my daughter had to pick out herself. Ill probably not be back.

Place is great, many references to mexican culture which we loved. We walked in at 9pm and requested to be seated at the patio. We waited 15 minutes to be seated even though place was empty. Chips were cold and stale, salsa was amazing. Waitress took our drink order of 2 cantarítos and one paloma. It took 28 minutes for drinks to be served. All 3 drinks were horrible, tasted like water with salt and tequila. We did not drink them and order beer which was nice and cold. Food was inedible, lacked flavor and was cold. We ordered another round of beer and left. The Place has potential, maybe better management.

I dont recommend it. We went on the weekend with my husband. All the tables were dirty with plates. There was only one person at the service. It took a long time to serve us and it took them about 45 minutes to bring us something different from what I ordered. They didnt have half of the menu because it was the end. Decided to try these place out after seeing the reviews. Come in around 1pm on 4/7 took a good minute to ge greeted. Finally got sat down many tables where dirty with plates. My wife ordered from the much menu but they weren t running it on the weekends. So they gave us a few more minutes seemed like 15 minutes till the server came back. Definitely notice they were short staffed. Order an agua fresca 20oz it was literally a 10 oz cup tops. Tacos didn t have much meat. They gave us to go silverware for our food and to go salsa for our food. Then once of the server was going into the back yelling at the cooks where s my food at!!! Didn t get much of an experience. I ll give them credit on the decor tho but that s about it.

We arrived at 2:30 pm on Sunday (at the end of brunch time, which ended at 3 pm). No staff were at the front to greet us. We waited over 20 mins to be noticed by staff and then asked to be seated. Normally, we would have left, but we were distracted talking to another customer who had already been waiting. It was his first time there, and I take it he wasnt impressed. Our sever was nice but slow servicing us. It took her a long time to give us chips, refill our salsa and drinks, and get us to-go containers. We had to ask for a drink menu because the server knew nothing about what they offered. Every question was answered with I dont know. We ordered Cali Fries $14 and Taco Sampler $25. The fries had SPOILED cheese on it, which tasted gross. (No refund was offered). The Mini tacos were good but greatly overpriced. The location has potential, but the front-end was very disorganized. There were Frida handbags and other merchandise, but there was no clear way to see the pricing or how to make a purchase (no one around). Frida artwork was cool its sad that the rest of the experience didnt match its good vibe. Seems like business cares more about happy hour business and not general business times. Do better.

My fiance and I just picked this restaurant out of the blue since it was near us. We had a very great experience with our waiter, he was very upbeat, very informative, and nice. And he did not overwhelm us like some waite staff do. Our food was great, although the tacos(taco Tuesday) didnt have much meat maybe two teaspoonfuls... it was tasty! Other than that we had a great experience, food tasted good! Authentic!!! We will be back and make this our favorite, if everything goes great next time

My family and I went here yesterday and the food was awful. Idk what happened bc the first I went with my girlfriends the food was great. My husband ordered the same plate I had previously gotten which was the aguachiles and they didn t taste or look the same. I got the chicken enchiladas and there were huge chunks of dry chicken breast in them. There was no type of effort put into our dishes and it looked and tasted like something I d make when I don t feel like cooking. I hate that we even had to pay for that horrible food. I was so excited to go back and I really wanted my husband to try this place bc like I said the first time it was good. A staff member told us we were the third table to complain about the food that day. Our waitress was very sweet but the young man checking us out was kind of rude and a little dry in his personality to work in the service industry. No empathy whatsoever! The food is very delicious, the sauces, the fresh waters delicious! We ate quesabirrias and the consommé was really delicious we tried the green flautas, the deli chicharrón gorditas!!! And the sopes dont even mention it. I really recommend it

This was a really convenient location for grabbing a bite while holiday shopping. I stood waiting for 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me. Servers just walked by. I eventually went to a separate area where I found someone at the bar and they got a server to seat me. The food was strictly OK. The service was terrible and there was an upcharge, which no one mentioned, because I was paying by card. Ill NEVER be back, regardless of how convenient the location is.

Drinks and food were fabulous! Birria tacos so delicious! Love the decor and vibe. First visit was on a Saturday for early lunch, and service in the main dining area was slow even though they were not very busy. However, the food and drinks were amazing. Came back on a Friday night and sat in the bar and had fantastic and fast service. The bartenders make the most beautiful and tasty drinks!

Went here for lunch. Place only had 2 other tables there besides us. There 3 things that bothered me about the place. Chips were stale, menu was sticky, and water glass was small. The food was very good. Ive eaten tons of places and the food here rates top with any other restaurant Ive been too. Service was slow considering how few people were there. If you are going to give me a little s all cup for water then you need to be attentive to refilling it. Their sodas are all canned. The thing I can not forgive is stale chips. Totally ruined the great salsa.

The staff was very nice. The corn tortillas were delicious. Other than that we were seated with chips and salsa and our order was taken fairly quickly. But then we were ignored completely in an almost empty restaurant. I actually called them on the phone to get them to send our waitress to bring us more chips. She came and brought the tortillas but we had to wait longer for more chips. Then it took so long to get our food we were going to be late to the airport. So I called them on the phone a second time! They finally brought the food but it was really not very good. Some of the meats were very greasy. The refried beans had a fishy flavor. The empanadas were flavorless. Like I said, the staff was very nice but an experience we would not want to repeat. I wish them the best and hope they can get it together because I hope they can succeed.

We went for brunch. We were the only ones there for most of the time. The food took a long time to arrive. So did the drinks. When our did arrived, half of us received the wrong food. They corrected it and brought out the right food which was delicious. We all enjoyed our dishes. The place was cute and Clean.

My coworkers and I chose to grab lunch at this restaurant during our break. It was a nice day this day so we sat outside. The food wasn t bad and the waitress was very attentive to my table. Since we sat outside we didn t fully get to enjoy the aesthetic of the restaurant but it looked like a great place for plenty of photos.

I ve been coming once or twice a week for the last month or so. At first it was awesome because they had a male bartender who made GREAT frozen margaritas. He actually mixed and blended them. Then the bartender disappeared and now it s just a young lady serving the tables and running the bar. She does the premade frozen margarita stuff and it s not good at all. Also the service is very slow because they seem understaffed. Today I walked in and sat at the bar like usual, but no staff was seen. I sat until I got frustrated and left. Maybe the young lady was back in the kitchen preparing the food too. I m done with this place for now. Maybe I will try again when they learn to have enough staff. Hopefully they don t have to shut down.

Good food. Some dishes have a spicy kick. They have both buffet and menu and an omelet bar on some days. Seniors get a good discount on the buffet. It is pricey, but I think that is because of the location. Otherwise, an interesting place.

Girls and boys, if you are looking for a delicious buffet like the ones in Mexico, go to Fridas in Cedar Hill from 10 to 3:00 pm and it is delicious. Super recommended! I lack a belly and I have a big one. They only opened today but it is very very tasty.

The art theme is cool, tried to order a kids meal for lady bc she wasnt that hungry and she was told no. The chips were a bit stale, the lemonade and horchata did not taste like real freshly made drinks. The rice was super salty. The chicken flautas were ok, the quesabira tacos were good. The food is too pricy for the quality.

This is my 5th time at this restaurant the food is 10/10 however service in my experiences was ifify due to me having the same waitress for at least most of my visits. I took a break coming here due to that and finally I was convinced to return today and Andrea was my server! She is so sweet and patient. She made no mistakes with our orders and the food is always quick. She smiled and assisted us so much! I will be back for her amazing service!
