Perfect place for a quick bite, sometimes you do have to wait no longer than 15 minutes to be seated but its is worth. Of course we went back, Try the Mexican burger you have a choice of fries or onions rings, caldo Tlalpeno. Is very good.

Stopped to have dinner, ordered Tlapeño soup. The soup was tasty as the Chipotle gave it the spicy & smokey flavor. While the flavor was good it consisted mostly of rice with very little chicken. The salsa served with chips was delicious. Service was good as there were very few patrons. Parking: The parking lot is not big enough, additional parking can be found across the street.

Everything in this restaurant was good. The place was clean, The staff and welcome were very friendly. Our waiter was incredible, the staff also worked as a team to bring our food to the table which is delicious I tried the chilaquiles and my wife the botana!!! ,,Then we also had dessert, the chocolate cake was very delicious and that was also very good. When paying, the cashiers were very friendly and always with a smile. Good atmosphere with very nice people. We will be back very soon!! Thank you!

My son had a breakfast with his friends and he paid $18.00 for what he eats. Two days later Zamoras charged him $40 and when he go to ask what happened, they said oh yes, sorry something is wrong with the machine, it happened before That is it!!! They did not refund the money. We had to go to the bank and file a complaint with them so they will start an investigation.

6/14/24 update: So far this place has always had great food, clean and great service. No complaints here. 10/10/23 Update: Food was delicious like always. Update: Went again and food was great again, but service not so much. Ordered two botanas for 6 and I have no complaints. For was good and warm. It was a lot, we could have a 6 and a 4 and still had leftovers.

My wife and I lived in McAllen all our lives,and today was the 1st time trying this restaurant after Church service a couple friends of ours from highschool invited us for breakfast here.The food was excellent(bacon and egg plate) and service was great specially with great company to share it with, no wonder its always pack .I definitely recommend this restaurant and the prices are fair for this hard economic times were leaving in.

Zamora s was our go-to for 10 years almost every weekend. Sadly, it looks like that run has ended. Their margaritas used to be a good value and tasty, but they changed their recipe and started using less or watered-down tequila. We thought it was just an off night, but this past Friday it was the same issue. Extremely (too) sweet and weak. We love the servers and always tip very well. The food is always pretty good too, but we can t get past the bad margaritas. Had to give 3 stars because we are so disappointed.

The following opinion is why, it is very easy for the owners of this restaurant to set the TIP percentage, which is no longer 10%, but rather 15% to 30% of what is consumed, PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES MORE WAITERS, and leave the tip percentage to the customer according to the service provided.

I think that on the first visit all was great. The food was delicious and the service was great too. The 2nd time (weekend) howeverit was not good. The food didnt taste good and it was cold. Its sad when you pay $40 for 2 plates of enchiladas and a soup. And when you get there to pick it up, its sitting on the counter getting cold. My wife had to open a can of enchilada sauce to add some flavor to both enchiladas and rice. Last time we go to this expensive food establishment for no flavor. And why does the price go up for dinner, Olive Garden at least gives you a bigger portion.

This is an oldie but goodie! This restaurant never fails to please my family! We have eaten here for about 5 or 6 years and always come back. The absolute only complaint is that it can get loud in the seating area, but it s an all open seating concept, which is the norm for Mexican restaurants. The wait staff are pleasant and check on you quite a bit, and they re are nice about helping you when you need something. It s somewhat of a rarity to find restaurants with welcoming & polite wait staff. The food is always fresh, hot, and tastes like Abuelita s cooking! I love this place

Food was cold. Felt like I was eating yesterday s left overs. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were stale and they forgot my eggs and within seconds they had my eggs (cold). My wife ordered the 1 pork chops with eggs and they brought her 2 pork chops. Not once was I asked if I wanted more coffee. Tortillas were extremely cold also. I have never been so disappointed in eating here. This is actually one of my favorite restaurants to eat, but it feels like they dropped their standards. What a shame. Will never eat here again.

$3.49 for hashbrowns? $2.69 for a taco with meat. I turned away a taco that didnt look appealing so only ate hashbrowns but got charged $3.49 for hashbrowns yeah they totally upcharged me and hid it in the hashbrowns. Those hashbrowns must have been made from gold. A pancake cost less, even an egg. Save your $4 and skip breakfast at this place.

This was perfect for girls night. We all got just what we wanted and each had our fill. They also make most things to order. I just love their cheese enchiladas. Well, I love all of their food, but the cheese enchiladas are the best. Migas plate is another winner along with the caldo tlalpeño. Try it all! Update: March was date night! I wanted my old favorite..... Mexican food at my favorite place. Its still amazing!

Every time I passed by I saw the parking lot full. Today I decided to go in. I can say that the proportions of the dishes are large but the flavor is almost non-existent. The steak was dry. At lunch time it is super crowded. The service is not very good the waitress did not want to bring more spoons because she said we already had one, the experience was not very charming

The food was DELICIOUS, great portions for what we paid. I had the migas with coffee, flour tortillas and delicious salsa; I had always had the chicken chilaquiles. We sat at the very corner back of the restaurant and I think that is why we were forgotten about during our stay. She did come to bring coffee refill and that was it.
