I recently had the unfortunate experience of working with Waters Edge Venue, and I must say it was deeply disappointing. From the start, their communication was severely lacking, which created a lot of unnecessary stress throughout the entire planning process. Emails and calls were often ignored, and when responses did come, they were either delayed or unhelpful. This lack of professionalism made coordinating our event a frustrating ordeal. The overall experience was far from what we expected, and I would not recommend this venue based on our experience.

I am deeply disappointed with our recent experience at this venue. The lack of clear communication resulted in a significant issue with the caterer; the guest count provided was incorrect, leading to an insufficient amount of food for everyone. This oversight was frustrating and left many guests hungry. Additionally, the venue coordinator s performance was unprofessional. Whenever we sought answers or clarifications, she either didn t know the information or failed to follow up in a timely manner. Would not recommend this venue for your special day.

I am deeply disappointed with our experience at waters edge. The communication was absolutely abysmal throughout the entire process. We were consistently left in the dark, and crucial details were never shared with us or our vendors. Just a day before our wedding, they had the audacity to cancel, leaving us in an incredibly stressful situation. Their lack of transparency was astounding specifically regarding the availability of a generator, which they had assured us would be provided but then turned out to be non-existent. Additionally, the venue coordinator displayed a shocking lack of knowledge about the services they offered and their pricing structure. This whole experience was frustrating and disheartening. I would strongly advise anyone considering this venue to look elsewhere to avoid similar issues.

Waters Edge is a beautiful wedding and events venue. As the name states, it is located right on the water. Waters edge is very well maintained outside. This venue is well designed with beautiful decorations inside. You have to check out Waters Edge if you are seriously considering a wedding in the Clear Lake area. All around stunning!

Tried to get an appointment set up to visit the venue, it took days to hear back. Once we got a hold of the coordinator, she did not confirm appointment despite emailing her many times to confirm so we decided to show up at the time given by her anyways. We showed up, and a code was needed to enter the venue (wasn t provided) so we had to wait for a while until someone got there. Once we finally were able to go in, the tour wasn t really a tour. We were told to go look on our own and any questions they can be answered. When we asked, coordinator seemed too busy to help us as there was an event that day although our appointment was before the event. Once we finished (30 min allotted time), we asked for a follow up of prices. She said she was gonna email us with the vendors they provide. However, no follow up email was ever sent. Needless to say we didn t book because of this experience and decided to book another venue. If she had been better, we would have booked that venue. We understood that she was busy, however, she should have communicated better if the time given to us by her did not work. It s beautiful on the inside and would have made a great venue for our wedding. I hope anyone else has had a better experience trying to book this place.

The place was beautiful but it gave only a couple hours for the decorators It was very stressful, but our local Decorator Veena did an amazing job in such a short time . Salute to her and her crew . I request the water edge management please mention ahead your given time to the decorator and the hosting family at least 3 to 4 hours .

My cousin had her wedding reception here. For a large party the drink line for the bar is ridiculously long, we did majority of our time waiting on a drink in line. It is not smoker/vape friendly at all. This place felt small and cramped, not much room for dancing when the bar line is 50 people long. Seriously, it was kinda annoying ..If you have a large party, you might want to reconsider this location. Also I didnt find that the staff was friendly. When the ove ran out at the drink station nobody bothered to refill it, it was just a bucket of water. I think location is what gets this placed booked but Im sure there are better options.

Without going through the sorted details, I was a guest at a function and left. The organizational and communications skills were severely lacking. I would not lease this facility nor attend any function at this facility in the future if asked. Update: An untrue assertion by the establishment: The bride and groom were partaking in the first dance, followed by the father daughter dance. The guests were asked to respectfully wait in the valet area until these special dances were done, to ensure there were no interruptions. This also would effect the video and photo teams footage of the couple during this special moment. I was there, as were others, before the bride and groom made their grand entrance. Roughly 15 minutes prior. In fact, I spoke with the couple prior to taking my place in line to enter.

I want to thank Savannah and her crew for helping me put together an 80th Birthday for my grandmother in TX, from CA. Although it wasnt a wedding, the process was fairly similar and The Waters Edge was so helpful and supportive the whole way through. We utilized their all inclusive package as well as their grand exit (we changed it to an entrance) and FIREWORKS add ons! The vendors they recommended were all fantastic, from the DJ to the cake to the food, simply fabulous. The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were all very attentive, kind and seemed to really enjoy their work as well as enjoy themselves (our family knows how to turn up). The event was in September and folks are still talking about it. If I ever need to plan another event for my Texas fam or making any venue recommendations, TRUST this place will be at the top of the list. Thank you again!

We had our daughters Quinceanera sweet 15th Birthday celebration in August 2022 at the Waters Edge. While I can say the venue was gorgeous. We did not receive the exact treatment as others did in the previous reviews. Savannah Venue Director whom was suppose to be our coordinator, did a horrible job and staff! Savannah never showed her face until our party was ending and she was the most absolute rudest person to our guests. There were ladders left out that we had to move ourselves. Mind you... this venue was by NO means a cheap one. My cater arrived and was treated horrible not only were they given a very small space to work with they had to clean up the kitchen before setting up. The food of course arrived cold to my guest. Savannah Venue Director made no effort to assist. The same person that was suppose to be my coordinator, just sat in her office watching us through the cameras. We were told that the front bar was going to be closed and that we would be able to use the counter space to set up fruit. Well the bar was opened at the last minute. When we approached Savannah, she stated just find a table and set it up somewhere. Savannahs services was useless to us. The one that really infuriates me..... Is the fact that the toilets were backing up and she told my husband that there was a plunger to use it! The toilets were backing up because we had to ask many times for toilet paper. We paid good money for this venue. My contract was not met to the fullest. Savannah was not professional at all. Her appearance was unprofessional and she was very rude to myself and my guest.Our expectation my Husband and I was to enjoy our daughter 15th Birthday (Quinceanera) instead we were very distressed I also want to add that my husband and I made it possible for my daughter celebrating her Birthday and guest not know what was going on behind the scene for my daughter to remember her dream Quinceanera perfect and our guest too.

Not only is this venue beautiful, but the service is wonderful as well. My husband and I got married here in May and it could not have been more perfect. Being able to say I do literally on the edge of the water was so magical, but the palm trees that line the aisle are my favorite part. Savannah was also just wonderful. She offered me so much necessary advice throughout my whole planning process. On the day-of she helped keep things running smoothly, and even assisted my photographer here and there by adjusting my dress or my hair for photos. I highly suggest the Waters Edge for your wedding or literally any event for that matter!

We were there for the Mothers Day brunch. Even though they had run out of a couple things on the menu the food was delicious. The service was great. The only thing we didnt like was the music. There was a singer there he was too loud. He was actually screaming into the mike. We couldnt talk to each other because he was too loud. You needed to have soft music for a mothers day brunch. My family and I had Brunch here yesterday. We were last here in July for Brunch. While we enjoyed our time at Bay Patio there were a few problems that need to be addressed. Our server Arjaye was excellent and checked on us a lot to see if we needed anything. The Brunch Menu was out of date but they were giving them out to customers. Many of the items are not available and the drinks listed are not available. We ordered the Poinsetta drink and were not told it was no longer available. When the server brought our drinks to us it was only champagne and cranberry juice....... we would not have ordered it if we had known but we kept it since the bartender had already made it. This was not our servers fault as he was new and the menu was the reason for this. When I eat out I do expect the menu to up to date and the items available to order. We were told that the menu would be updated soon. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and had blueberries added to them. The pancakes were pretty good but not as good and fluffy as they were before in July. My fried egg was over cooked.... brown all over and stiff..... bacon served cold..... disappointing quality. My Mom and Sister had the shrimp and grits. They liked them and were happy with their meal. When paying our bills for the food they over charged my Mom and Sister for their grits and their bill had to be adjusted since the Menu price said one thing and then they over charged for several dollars more...... but it was corrected. This was aggravating for my Mom and Sister. Overall, we had a nice time at Bay Patio and will go there again. I just hope this nice place updates their Menu soon.

This venue is a beautiful spot and even though our evening was a night we will never forget and the staff here is very kind . There are things Not only myself but my family , my husband and friends thought were very important that stood out that need some major improvement on.. I originally had a wedding coordinator assigned to me that I would talk to almost on a daily basis which seemed to be going great, but then one day I didn t here from them until days later that they had a family emergency (which is fine I know things happen) but it would have been nice to have the other staff members give me a heads up . So because of this I had to start over a lot of things that I had already discussed with the original coordinator, so it was obvious that communication was lacking. Following this every time I would call with questions I would get a different answer from everyone and no one was very clear on there answers so it would leave me unsure about things .. The evening of my wedding the lack of communication between the DJ & the wedding coordinator I would say was very poor , we basically had to tell the DJ what was next ourselves & every time we would go look for the wedding coordinator that was working that evening she would disappear no where to be found. But anyways! Put aside all those things we still enjoyed our day and it will be the best memory yet !

I planned on making this wedding venue home for our wedding. Unfortunately, emergency issues arose and I had to cancel. Be aware, I cancelled 101 days in advance, more than 3 months prior to the date scheduled. I was told that Id have to forfeit 50% of the contract agreement as well as the deposit. The deposit, come to find out, was three thousand dollars. 50% of the contract price was right around $2,200. So, for cancelling over 3 months in advance, theyre requiring me to pay well over $5000 dollars for absolutely nothing. In addition to this, it took them over a week to contact me back regarding the cancellation to give me this information, and Ive emailed them back and waited 4 more days and still havent received a reply. Emergency circumstances cant be helped and Im having to pay over five thousand dollars for over 3 months away cancellation. Do NOT try to have anything here. Their customer service and communication is absolutely terrible and they will take every penny they can get out of you for absolutely nothing. If I could give this place 0 stars or even a negative rating I would. DO NOT COME HERE.

My partner and I came for brunch to see the place as a potential venue. The place is really, really nice and laid back. They are more than just a venue and have an excellent food menu! The brunch was amazing and the drinks were just as great. Phil, the owner, greeted us with great hospitality and even gave us free drinks for our first time. He conversed with us and filled us in on how the venue operates. This is an awesome place and I recommend it to anyone!

I came here today with my boyfriend for his 35th birthday all dressed up. 3pm on Sunday, 2/21/21. I had planned on taking him here all week. You have advertised on the road sign and social media that you close for brunch at 4pm, yet you have the doors locked with 0 signage or info/ direction at 3pm and I called both Waters Edge and The Bay Patio just to have my call rejected after 2 rings and then go to voicemail while I m standing outside the locked doors not knowing where to go or how to get inside. There were people in the back eating and drinking. No one came to the door in the 5-10 minutes we stood there. How humiliating! You re one of the very few waterfront venues for Clear Lake. Set your standards! Let me know what communication I missed that could have prevented that type of disappointment. How do I get service here? Is this a private club? This event space is beautiful. COMMUNICATION IS HORRIBLE!!! The ONLY reason we did not pick this place for our venue is because after we first met, the communication stop. I had to track Savannah down just to say this was the space we wanted. By the time she reached back out, we had changed our mind. It had been at least 4 to 5 days. Yes this place is beautiful, but I wouldnt bet on a smooth wedding flow, just based on communication PRIOR to planning.

My now husband and I fell in love with Waters Edge when we first saw the venue. This review is not a reflection of the venue itself but of our experience we had leading up to our reception. We had met with Savannah multiple times. Each time we had to initiate the meetings. We didnt know if we were supposed to wait for her to reach out to us but we felt the need to stay on top of planning and initiated them. Each meeting we left with more questions than answers. Which at the time was fine because we were using Honeybook to communicate virtually. We had questions on the pricing differences between Waters Edge appetizer prices and the caterer s own pricing on their website. We were never given an answer as to why there was a difference other than we could go directly through the caterer for our appetizers if we wished - so we did and ended up saving over $300. Which when planning a wedding is definitely a win. On our last meeting that was originally rescheduled due to a tropical storm we had taken off work early and made the 45 minute drive just to find out that Savannah was not in office. We felt this could have easily been communicated and we could have rescheduled to when she would be in office. Rachel was able to help us out during this meeting. I had been using their preferred communication source to upload all paperwork that was requested of Waters Edge to plan our event. Including our cake, DJ/reception form. I was told that our DJ and Waters Edge would be in communication to finalize any last minute details with the time line before the big day. The week of our wedding Savannah emailed/texted saying that she doesnt have the forms she needed and how I needed to turn them in ASAP. I was confused because I had been using their requested platform this entire time. Along with uploading the necessary paperwork I had uploaded a screen shot of how I would like for the tables to be arranged for the reception. I used their social tables platform to create this screen shot to ensure that this layout would fit in their venue and I had spoken to Rachel how I uploaded this screen shot at our last meeting. The day before our event my husband and I go to Waters Edge to drop off some items to have them set up. We immediately notice that the tables are 100% wrong. When we asked to speak to Savannah she was not in office and her assistant had to coordinate for our linens vendor to bring the correct tables. Although this hiccup was an easy fix it was also easily avoidable by simply using the communication platform that they suggested. I had uploaded the picture of the table arrangement on there to avoid this. The day of our wedding my maid of honor had called/texted multiple times on my behalf to ensure that the tables were correct since the last time we saw them they were not. No response. We moved along with the day with hopes that this would be corrected and it was. When we arrived at Waters Edge everything looked wonderful. They did an amazing job decorating. We were very pleased. Before our grand entrance Savannah came to us to discuss our day of timeline... not the best moment to have this conversation it would of been nice to have this at one of the many meetings we requested but either way the conversation was had. It was discussed that we would do our grand entrance and go straight to dinner and perform our first dance afterwards. Fine whatever works best. As my husband and I are walking in the DJ starts announcing that we will be doing our first dance. Clearly communication that was said to have been done above with our DJ had not taken place and the 2 were on very different time lines for the same event. My husband and I were confused but managed to pull our practiced first dance together just enough to feel it was ok. Again this was an easy fix but also easily avoidable. Although our wedding was everything we managed to make it and we are happy we celebrated at Waters Edge we feel communication is lacking and hopes to have that improve for future events. We would still recommend this venue.

This place is so beautiful. When I had first meeting, I decide this is the place. The staff is friendly and cooperative on day of event. Savannah took care of everything on the day of event . She helped us with different vendor contacts and she knows really how to take care of things. Negative : She doesnt answer her phone just 2 weeks before the event . She replied to emails , but late replys . We had small issues with time , we started event late that was communicated to Savannah verbally not written . So , we need to finish early . I hope , I can go back and extend the event timing. However, she accommodated 30 minutes.

Waters Edge is a beautiful venue. We had our daughter s Quinceañera at this venue for the beautiful waterfront view. The venue is absolutely gorgeous but the customer service is lacking. We had a difficult time getting a hold of the coordinator. She promised to be with us throughout the process and we heard from her the week prior to the event. This venue has a lot of potential but needs to work on coordinating. The Dj throughout the night did most of the coordinating and that s why our event turned out great. He was amazing. Thanks to LG entertainment.

Savannah and the team at Waters Edge were excellent hosts for our wedding ceremony and reception. They worked with our wedding planner through all of our detailed plans and budgetary constraints while allowing our event to be unique and fitting with our personalities. This included allowing us to modify their provided ceremony and reception packages to meet our desires and tastes. The venue is absolutely beyond beautiful, and their provided vendors were excellent. My wife and I cannot say enough about the professionalism exhibited by Savannah and her personal willingness to go above and beyond to make our wedding day as successful and fun as possible.

Waters Edge was an excellent venue for my engagement proposal. My fiance loved the venue with the palm trees and beautiful lake right at the edge. Our photographs also turned out amazing! The staff was extremely helpful and extremely polite. I would definitely recommend this place as a venue for your event as it is one of a kind in the Houston area with beautiful views.

I highly recommend Waters Edge. We just had a corporate event here that was wonderful. The event center was first class in appearance. The staff were very helpful and friendly but not obtrusive. The sound system was great. The bar is well stocked and we had a great bartender who was both knowledgeable and personable. I have to say if the weather is nice the indoor/outdoor aspect is the best part. I received a lot of compliments throughout the evening. I am hopeful we can have more events here. I felt that we that we got our moneys worth.

The venue is absolutely beautiful. What made the experience even better was Savannah. She was completely awesome and she went through my vision for my wedding and was very personal. The only problem was this venue was a little pricy but not as pricy as some of the other venues I had looked at. I wasnt able to afford this venue but Savannah tried to help me make it more cost friendly. Unfortunately it wasnt with in my budget. Dont let that scare you away from checking it out though.

We highly recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for an indoor/outdoor venue. I happened to drop in at Waters Edge and was in love at first sight! Waters Edge came to our rescue at the last minute during the unusual January 2018 rainouts. Both Rachel and Savannah, along with their staff, helped us pull my daughter and son-in-laws backyard wedding together. They helped us transition our plans with very little stress and added touches that we had not planned for. We can t wait to see how beautiful the wedding pictures will be. Waters edge was the second venue we visited and actually out last! We both fell in love, the place is absolutely beautiful! This venue was the best of both worlds for me and my fiancé at the time. I love elegant & classy and he loves the water. He is from Galveston Tx and I was from Cypress Tx (Houston) so waters edge was literally the best of both worlds and the exact middle for us and our family. We were very excited to finally book our venue and that is when we officially met Savannah. She was always so helpful with everything !! Fast forward to our wedding day, she was our wedding day coordinator and made my life WAY easier by always being a step ahead of me. Savannah is great at what she does! Can t thank her enough and her team for making and helping my dream wedding come to life!

I cant put into perspective how awesome Waters Edge has been to us during our wedding experience. Needless to say the venue was beautiful. Its the most remarkable venue we have seen in Texas. The food was superb and the floral decor was lovely. Our Cake was TO DIE for. All of these places were provided to us in our package all we had to do was pick what we wanted. Savannah is one of the most amazing people Ive ever met. She is sooo on top of things and takes a tremendous amount of weight off of ones shoulders during the wedding day. I remembered I was getting dressed and I was peeping out of the window and I saw her on a ladder decorating our hedgewall! The whole time I assumed I was going to have to do that lol. She also sent someone to go to the store to get eyelash glue when I felt my eyelash coming off right after the ceremony. Before I could even panic the glue was in my hand and she had already taken care of it. CRAZY right?!?! I mean who does that!? Lol. At one point during our reception I saw her behind the bar helping serve drinks! There were also other times when I would see her just standing from a far and scanning the room making sure everything was going the way its supposed to. Savannah is Hands down the best coordinator Ive ever known, and she is so genuine with what she does. She does everything with ease and gave me a sense of comfort, which makes it a plus. We were dealing with alot during our wedding planning process and going with Waters edge was the best choice we made. This is the real deal, seriously OUTSTANDING. You will only regret not choosing this venue.

I dont know if I can put into words how amazing I think Savannah is and how perfect my wedding was because of her! I knew I wanted a venue on the water, and when my fiance and I walked into Waters Edge, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. My wedding was everything I wanted it to be and more, and it was all thanks to Savannah and her staff. From the very first meeting Savannah was so helpful and even though we lived a few cities apart, she would always make the time to call, text, or email with me if I needed something. Everyone at my reception kept telling me over and over again how beautiful the venue was, and I couldnt agree more with them. Savannah and her staff made sure to check with us throughout the night to see if we needed anything and Savannah rushed to get me Advil because I was crying so much throughout the ceremony. She did above and beyond for me and my wedding party and we felt pampered the entire night. The Waters Edge had the complete package including the linens, DJ, bridal cake, and caterer and they were all amazing vendors and I have nothing bad to say about any of them because they made sure that my wedding went off perfectly. The Waters Edge is such a beautiful venue and I am so happy that we picked this venue, it was an important day and Savannah and her staff made sure that it was perfect for me and my husband. If I have any other event I will make sure that I book The Waters Edge!
